Peter Thiel for Governor? Nope!

Where is Peter Thiel?

I thought he was going to be the libertarian-leaning, openly gay Republican who was going to solve all the CAGOP's problems?

Where is he?

Well, if anyone was paying attention to the long list of reports over the previous months, they would have found out that he was heading out, or at least investing in other digs for his living arrangements.

From CNN Fake News:

The billionaire investor and vocal Trump supporter was able to secure New Zealand citizenship after "categorically" declaring that he has "found no other country that aligns more with my view of the future than New Zealand."

That was in 2011, the year he was granted citizenship by the New Zealand government even though he did not fulfill the residency requirement and had no immediate plans to live in the South Pacific island nation.

Thiel for Governor of California?
NOPE!

What is it about New Zealand that he likes so much?

He was fast-tracked to become a citizen, since he had invested so much in the country.

What?!

Besides, we are now five months later following that report.

Thiel has not announced any interest in running for Governor of California.

John Cox had dumped at least $3 million of his own money into the race.

Travis Allen, vocal conservative assemblyman from Orange County, has also announced his bid for Governor, along with other attending local lights throughout the state.

Thiel would have had the best chance of announcing right after Trump was elected President.

He was a libertarian-leaning "sexual minority" supporter for the President. Would his tech-celebrity have assured some kind of viability in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Alameda Counties?

I doubt it.

In early January of this year, I had received this tip about Thiel.

The California GOP leadership was fully on board to bring the Silicon Valley PayPal creator into the Governor's race.

But they had overlooked the fact that he was looking into New Zealand citizenship.

OOP!

No Peter Thiel, folks.

If California wants a Republican governor, they need to look at John Cox or Travis Allen at this point.
