The LA County Board  of Supervisors announced that they were opening up a homeless apartment right here in the city of Torrance.

And all of this after the city council called a special meeting on May 23, 2025, to discuss the proposal and then vote against it unanimously.

Los Angeles County is moving forward with plans to convert a Torrance motel into permanent housing for the homeless, despite strong objections from local officials and residents.

The conflict began when the LA County Board of Supervisors proposed turning the Extended Stay America motel—located one block west of Torrance City Hall—into a housing facility for the unhoused. The project would transform the site into a 120-unit permanent supportive housing complex.

In response, the Torrance City Council unanimously passed a resolution opposing the plan. However, the Board of Supervisors confirmed last week that it would proceed, prompting a wave of local backlash.

The motel, situated at the intersection of Torrance Boulevard and Madrona Avenue, lies in a busy area surrounded by the Del Amo Fashion Center, city offices, public swimming pools, educational centers, and medical facilities. The location’s high pedestrian traffic has raised concerns about public safety and community impact.

Concerns Over Safety and Neighborhood Suitability

Local business owner Casey Yang, who runs a shop near the site, voiced concern about the decision. “I need to look into the details, but this should absolutely not happen. If a majority of citizens feel unsafe or concerned about public health, the County must reconsider,” he said.

Every citizen should be opposed to this. The city has already established tiny homes right next to the police station. What more does the city need to do?!

Seo-Yeon Kim, whose child attends a tutoring center next to the motel, echoed those concerns. “This area is frequented by children and is close to a senior apartment complex. I don’t know if this is a wise decision. I hope they reconsider after listening to public opinion,” she said.

Torrance Mayor George Chen criticized the County’s decision, stating that the proposed site sits in the heart of the city and lacks sufficient distance from sensitive community zones. “Over 90% of our residents oppose this,” Chen said on June 2, adding that the city is currently exploring legal action.

LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn, however, pushed back on the mayor’s statement. “We’ve received a much wider range of feedback than that,” Hahn said. She added that the site is actually located near churches and commercial zones, making it a suitable place to connect unhoused residents with job opportunities and rehabilitation programs.

No one really believes this.

State Funding and Security Measures Planned

The housing conversion is being funded through Project Homekey, a state initiative aimed at expanding permanent homeless housing. According to the County, the site will include on-site staff and operate under a 24-hour security system once complete.

Lots of businesses and other entities have 24-hour security, but that has not stopped the crime wave. What's the point in documenting all the crimes taking place when there is no enforcement of the law? District Attorney Nathan Hochman is bringing much needed change, but he cannot fight the crime wave on his own. Police and sheriff's departments are facing staffing problems and budget issues, and woke judges are filling up LA County courts!

The debate underscores the ongoing challenges of balancing urgent housing needs with community concerns in densely populated urban areas like Torrance.

The key decision-makers and team leaders are missing the bigger issue. Los Angeles County has a larger homeless population for a number of reasons:

1. The weather is great here, so deadbeats, derelicts, and drug addicts travel from all over the United States to come here and loaf out in public without fear of inclement weather.

2. California has some of the most generous welfare programs and payments in the country. This problem has plagued the state of California since Governor Pat Brown.

3. California voters have all but legalized drugs in this state, and some legislators wanted to go further and allow "safe" injection sites.

4. Law enforcement faces numerous obstacles to involuntary commitment of the mentally ill and unstable in our communities. Every since the early 1960s, when President John F. Kennedy began shutting down the mental institutions and allowing those sufferers to roam on the streets rather than receive much-needed care in involuntary confinement, the homeless problem has only worsened.

The lax laws, the progressive insistence on throwing more money at the problem rather than enforcing quality of life and care metrics, have caused the homelessness problem to spiral out of control.

The notion that providing more housing will somehow fix this program is just naive, delusional, and even dangerous.

This decision has received so much pushback, and has raised considerable alarm not just in the South Bay, but throughout Los Angeles County. I was surprised by the number of calls I received from friends throughout the county when the Board of Supervisors forced this decision on the city.

Mayor Chen has captured the heart of the matter: 90% of the residents do now want apartments for the homeless. It's not just a density issue, but a safety issue. Worse yet, all of this government-funded "charity" is just further subsidy for bad behavior and more homelessness.

Supervisor Janice Hahn claimed that homeless veterans would be the first to qualify for the housing. Someone needs to remind her that Los Angeles County already has the Brentwood VA, which was designed and designated precisely to serve LA County's veterans. And that problem has not been solved after decades. In fact, Rob Rosebrock has been exposing the misuse of the Brentwood facilities for years, exposing how private interests are exploiting the property at the expense of the veterans! Worse yet, Los Angeles County still has the largest homeless veteran population in the country, and the problem has barely abated, in spite of much pontificating from federal officials in Congress.

Big Question

Dear Torrance residents:

Have you had enough of this progressive propaganda and pandering? Have you tired of county and statewide officials who put illegal aliens, homeless vagrants, and repeat criminals ahead of the law-abiding citizens and their families?

If you don't like what's happening in your community, then you need to start with the person you see in the mirror. Whom are you voting for in every election? The region has been drifting to the left for the last twenty years, and the consequences are catching up with all of you. Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi and State Senator Ben Allen are all in on the homelessness push. They want more money, more housing, lax enforcement of our criminal laws, and a full commitment to the Democratic Party's broad vision of "marginalized ahead of the law-abiding."

You are all voting for these outcomes. Supervisor Janice Hahn won an outright majority to hold her seat for a third (And thankfully final) term on the LA County Board of Supervisors. You had the chance to elect someone else to represent you in Downtown Los Angeles, but you chose more of the same.

So, there's no point in complaining right now until you resolve to start electing NEW PEOPLE!

Law Enforcement Matters: ICE Comes to Torrance, CA

The sob stories are considerable coming out of Torrance, CA regarding immigration enforcement.

I cannot tell you how many local politicians told me that illegal immigration is not an issue in the South Bay.

What a crock!

Concerned teachers and community members are rallying together to help a Southern California fourth grader after he was detained by immigration officials.

Martir Garcia Lara, 9, is a student at Torrance Elementary School. On May 29, he attended an immigration hearing in downtown Los Angeles with his father, Martir Garcia-Banegas, 50.

However, instead of receiving an update on his father’s immigration status, the boy and his father were both detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and separated from each other.

If you are in the country illegally, you are breaking the law. I have no compassion for the parents putting their children in harm's way like this. What is doubly disturbing is that the school districts not only do not object to illegal aliens enrolling in public schools, they rely on them for funding, since more parents are just taking their kids out of public schools entirely on account of the bad education, the radical indoctrination, and the lack of safety.

Despite protests and claims otherwise, I think these issues plague Torrance Unified, as well.

“He’s alone and he’s not able to return home,” said PTA president Jasmin King.

This sounds like a lie. He was detained by ICE along with his father, was he not? The PTA is all in on protect illegal aliens and championing every left-wing cause imaginable. They are the biggest source of the rot and collapse in public education.

Teachers at Torrance Elementary reached out to King and the rest of the PTA, asking them for help in somehow getting the young boy and his father released and back to Southern California.

He's not coming back, folks. He was in the country illegally, and so was his son. There is no excuse for any entity in the United States to harbor illegal aliens, to aid and abet their unlawful presence. 

That includes the kids.

“We have not received any information on why they were detained,” King said. “All we know is that Martir is just a fourth-grader who’s by himself, without his dad, without a parent, and just in a place that he probably doesn’t know, so we can only imagine what he might be feeling.”

King said the boy has been a student at Torrance Elementary since the first grade.

Why is the local press playing this up? It's a sob story to induce compassion for open borders, to stir people up against the enforcement of our immigration laws. Enough already. During the previous administration, the federal government allowed just about anyone to come into this country illegally. The migrancy effect overwhelmed local cities, states, and their institutions. The American people have had more than enough of mass illegal immigration. All the plays and ploys on our compassion will no longer work.

PTA members have since reached out to federal, state and local leaders to intervene and are asking other parents and community members to help in any way they can.

King said she and other PTA members are also prepared to help the boy and his father with any legal aid or financial assistance should they need it.

Why doesn't the PTA focus on helping American students for a change? How about helping the law-abiding citizens for once? Perhaps the Trump Administration to investigate and file charges against school districts and local PTAs for flouting and frustrating our nation's federal immigration laws, too.

Final Reflection

This story hits home for me on two levels.

First, Torrance is my hometown. I am glad to live hear, and I hope never to leave here. Second, I graduated from Torrance Elementary, the "Greatest Little School in the West!" It's sad that all this open border-illegal immigration madness is no weighing in and imposing on our city, too.

Perhaps this is the reality check that Torrance residents need to grapple with in order to stop voting for the same vain, lame politicians who celebrate lawlessness and corruption rather than upholding law and order and ensuring public safety.

South Bay Leftists Support Terrorists, Refuse to Condemn 'Dancing Palestinians'

This is the "Love all people" diversity crowd which is behind the whole "Free Palestine" cause.

And to think that all of this is now happening in Torrance, CA.

For the last year and a half, nearly two years, a group of local leftists--the Bernie Sanders crowd, the Black Lives Matter people, and the rogue Democratic partisans on the South Bay have been lining up to support the regressive Palestinian cause.

I saw them assembled on the street corner of Hawthorne Blvd and Artesia this whole time. Finally, I decided to confront them about the "Dancing Palestinians" who celebrated the slaughter of American citizens on 9-11.

See the video for yourself, and you will see how abusive and intolerant they truly are. They are not interested in truth, justice, or righteous outcomes. They push their repeated slander against Israel and Zionism in general. The outrageous attacks against Prime Minister Netanyahu are particularly disturbing.

Civic Engagement Taskforce Forum: Melissa Toomim for Congress

In California's newly designed 36th Congressional district, an independent journalist and researcher is taking on Lyin' Ted Lieu. Lieu has been an eyesore in the Westside for ten years now, and he is still holding on, pushing pro-terrorist propaganda while holding up costly progressive regulations and anti-constitutional edicts on the voters of the South Bay and Santa Monica.

I can't wait to get rid of that guy. 

Unfortunately, in the last election cycle a shameless grifter named Joe Collins ran for Congress, pushing out a qualified conservative candidate named Derrick Gates: a pastor who had been ministering to the poor and homeless throughout the country for years, then settled in spiritually troubled California to make the difference. Collins was running to make consultants rich. He didn't put out yard signs. He didn't debate with anyone. He was just grifting, then he moved to Texas to run for state rep, where he lost badly to a real Texas conservative. Good riddance to that guy.

And now we have Melissa Toomim!

She announced her bid for Congress fairly early, to her credit.

I first met her at a meeting of the South Bay Republican Woman Federated in Torrance, CA in September 2023. She was collecting signatures in early for her Congressional bid, so that she would qualify for the ballot.

I was glad to see her launching her campaign as soon as possible, since too many Republicans do not get started soon enough, and then they fail to get into the general election.

She had some novel ideas, as well, on rolling back the surveillance state and treating individuals who refuse vaccines as a protected class under the Civil Rights Act.

And she was the only Congressional candidate who had the courage to show up and debate for the 36th Congressional District seat.

She did a lot of research and investigative work in to terrorist groups, and she found out that the current Congressman Lyin' Ted was connected with these groups. Let's not forget that Lieu supported giving terrorist-sponsor Iran lots of money to appease them from building nuclear weapons (which has not worked).

To her credit, she helped Dr. Kenneth Wright when he was challenging Ted Lieu, in large part because no one else had the guts to step up and take on that corrupt progressive. Toomim made it clear to the audience that she is a team player, not seeking to be the center of attention but rather focused on doing what is best for everyone else.

Kenneth Wright left the GOP in 2020, and he did not advance to the general election that year. I mentioned the failed grifter Joe Collins earlier.

She also pointed out her interest in focusing on federal issues: stopping illegal immigration and international terrorism. She knows these threats, and she understands what it takes to stop them.

It's time to cut the regulations, and it's time to restore a more welcoming atmosphere for the entertainment industry. I really liked that she talked about the attacks on freedom of speech as well as crime.

Here, she had the courage to talk about the gender attacks on boys and men, particularly in education settings. She has the novel knack to point out serious concerns in public policy, ones which too many people in government and think-tanks are content to ignore.

Good for her! Boys, men, and masculinity are under attack like never before, and she called that out!

She faced a distinct challenge when answering some of these questions, because of the subject matter does not necessarily fall under federal authority, like improving education, but she did her best.

"SHAME ON YOU, AL! HOW DARE YOU!" Muratsuchi Gets Hit Hard at September 7, 2024 Torrance Town Hall

                         

I have attended a number of Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi's (D-Torrance) town halls.

For the last year, I have been taking a slightly different approach.

I am listening to more of the concerns of other people in the audience. Instead of simply spouting off my outrage with his terrible governance, I want to know if other people share my concerns.

In the past, I didn't really care or concern myself with how other people felt about local or state issues. Now, I am letting other people have their say first.

I have been pleasantly and gratefully surprised that many residents in the South Bay are sharing my frustration with Al Muratsuchi's abject liberalism. He puts illegal aliens, teachers unions, and left-wing woke policies head of the needs of his constituents.

And they are calling him out on it!

A number of people confronted Al Muratsuchi for wanting to keep obscene materials in libraries, available for children. A number of residents blasted Muratsuchi for pushing all the benefits for illegal aliens, while ignoring American citizens.

And then I pounced.

As in other town halls, Muratsuchi was clearly shaken when I confronted him for voting to undermine voter ID laws. I also blasted him for protecting pornographic books, keeping them available for children. I also brought up the horrific tenure of LA County District Attorney George Gascon, and how he should be supporting Nathan Hochman.

As expected, he accused me of stating outright lies, and his sycophant supporters all applauded him. I do appreciate, though, that other members of the audience pushed back on his charges against me, especially regarding voter ID laws.

In Dishonest Jean Adelsma's latest post "Take Back Torrance," (which should be called "Make Torrance Great for Jean"), she asserts that residents can sign recall papers to have Councilman Mattucci put up for a recall vote and ultimately removed from office.

AND she asserts that their signatures will be private.

CRA Drama: Torrance Lomita Palos Verdes RA v. San Pedro "Palos Verdes" RA?

I received this letter from the head of the Torrance-Lomita-PV Republican assembly. [See Bold Type below]

Apparently, there has been some growing drama among the different chapters in the South Bay section of Los Angeles County.

The statewide organization is allowing another chapter to open up for Palos Verdes and San Pedro, here in the South Bay. The problem, though, is that another chapter, the Torrance-Lomita-Palos Verdes Republican Assembly, worked very hard to add Palos Verdes to its jurisdiction. The bigger problem is that the state leadership is allowing this new chapter to emerge, even though the outcome will run rough-shod over state and local by-laws.

What I am starting to see from the CRA is the same kind of raw pursuit for more clubs, for more leaders, but no real commitment to winning elections or building a conservative brand to take back the state. The state organization is also not responsive to local groups, which want more flexibility when it comes to members joining the club.

Another question does arise: are the local chapters getting their money's worth for all the donations that they have to send to the state organization? Members pay $25 a member, and $10-15 of that goes to the state organization. But for what? What is it accomplishing?

If the statewide organization is not going to play by the rules, why be a member? If the state organization is not going much for local chapters and candidates, what's the point?

Here's the letter from TLPVRA President Scott Carter regarding the potential take-over of the Palos Verdes area to another assembly unity. Tell me what you think:

Dear Torrance Lomita Palos Verdes RA Members, 

As a TLPVRA member, it is important for you to know what's going on and as your President it is important for me and our current Clubs goals to give you our information:

Currently our CRA President Johnnie Morgan, will be seeking members from our Torrance Lomita Palos Verdes Republican Assembly to be a member of the as-yet-to-be Approved "PalosVerdes San Pedro" CRA Unit.

Anyone may wish to be a member of that unit anywhere in California.

But here is the information for you to decide on:

Currently, their purpose is to just get members under the leadership of someone else and form a 'new club'.

The potential new president had resigned from our TLPVRA group when he was told he had a conflict of interest when he re-started another  club.

And at the same time, he secured the same speaker slated to speak to the South Bay Republican CRA unit, before they were to meet, for 'his' other group, which was not respectful to them and in my humble opinion, unethical.

Now, undeterred by his previous conflict of interest behavior, he has been asked by CRA President Johnnie Morgan, VP Davina Keiser, SD (outside of her Senate District) Jo Reitkopf, to start a new Unit in Palos Verdes. This is despite the fact we are the only ones legitimately assigned to Palos Verdes in 2020. The fact they did not consult us on it, which says volumes as to the character of the leadership of the CRA.

Aside from that, you are free to choose if you would like to be a member
of their PVSP Unit should you decide to.
We will continue to have our Endorsements for Palos Verdes School Board and City Councils in the next meeting as well, since we have the sole jurisdiction in that area.

If you do join the Palos Verdes San Pedro Club, it is not approved
for existence yet or for CRA Endorsement of Candidates. Only the Torrance
Lomita Palos Verdes Republican Assembly is eligible and capable to
do so.

However the "Palos Verdes San Pedro Club" is meeting in TORRANCE
(outside of their 'Territory', which is against the CRA Bylaws(Sec.10) in order
to establish themselves as a CRA Unit. That is a violation.)
(But it has been violated before without repercussions by the leadership of the CRA.)
To be held at Mimi's Restaurant and you are expected to pay (our meetings are free)
for a meal ($15-20 minimum) to listen to Mr Shawn Steele (Spoke at our Group in January) and State Treasurer Candidate Jack Guerrero ( a dynamic speaker, but had schedule conflicts with us on two occasions).

If you do decide to attend the meeting they may ask you to switch membership from our Club to their Club. It is up to you.

BUT WE would really like you to stay with us to continue building our Club and continue to pursue our area wide goals for Torrance, Palos Verdes and Lomita.

Chad "Antifa Soy Boy Loser" Loder was served papers a few weeks ago. It was a restraining order, and he had to give up his firearms on account of the harms that he was causing other people around the country, around the world! 

He even tried to get it tossed by claiming he is a journalist, and the judge rejected his motion in a previous hearing!

He went to the Torrance Courthouse in Los Angeles County, presumably to challenge the order, but so far, he has faced nothing but hardships and frustrations in his fight for the right to harass and harm people who want to protect their rights and secure their country.

Chad Loder is an Antifa militant, a soy boy who hides in his apartment and doxxes people, trying to get them fired or harmed, or even killed.

This man has much to answer for.

Torrance City Council 2021 Vacancy Questionnaire: Answers from Arthur Schaper

Why do you want to be appointed to the City Council? What do you feel you will bring to the position?

 In my view, the city council needs another member who is more responsive to specific concerns from residents in the community. A number of residents are concerned about housing issues, the homeless issues, as well as ensuring that the city maintains its high quality of life. There are other concerns which residents have shared with me: urban coyotes, trash, street sweeping, civic engagement, budget issues, etc. and I want to ensure that their voices are heard, their concerns are answered, and those problems are solved.

Furthermore, I am concerned that a number of worthy policy goals: establishment of health district, proper pension reforms and funding, etc. are not being pursued in a timely fashion by the city council at present. I want to help expedite those goals as much as possible.

I am also concerned that city staff is directing the city council on what to do, when it should be the other way around. The staff works for the city council, and the city council works for the people. I want that chain of command to be fully respected and restored.

Last of all, I am deeply troubled by the fact that the current city council restricted public participation to one hour per city council meeting over the last year, when many city councils allowed individuals to call in to comment on specific agenda items. The restoration of full First Amendment participation by city residents needs to be restored. I also want to add a voice and vote to the council to ensure that we treat every business as essential and not allow “pandemic hysteria” to impose mask mandates or close down businesses in the city of Torrance again.

2.       What future plans do you have for seeking elected or appointive office at any level of government?

I am concerned about the state of education in the city of Torrance, so I may seek a seat on the Torrance School Board in the future. The well-being of the state of California is of great concern to me, and I may seek to run for state legislative office, as I did in 2020.

3.       Look 10 years into the future and describe what you want this city to look like and why.

I anticipate a city where a growing community of families is able to live and thrive, where families of many generations can connect and call Torrance home. Currently, the city population is declining as more people are leaving the state.

I want our city to be recognized not just as balanced city, but a standard by which other cities conduct their residential, commercial, and industrial affairs. That has been the case in the past, and I want that to continue. I want to see our status as a leader in industry restored, since we had the Toyota headquarters in Torrance for many years.

4.       What do you see as the role of the City Council? What do you see as the role of City Staff?

The city council must serve as constitutional representatives for the citizens and legal residents of the city of Torrance. They bear the responsibility of initiating and implementing policy to ensure that the city has enough money and manpower to provide essential services and ensure that everyone can enjoy their fundamental rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The role of city staff is to research and provide frameworks or language for all policy directives and implementation of all policies.

5.       Give an example of how you would resolve a situation where your personal philosophy is at odds with what is best for the City.

Not to be snide or disrespectful, but I cannot think of any personal stance or position that I hold which would be at odds with the best interests of the city. I welcome your questions or concerns on any specific matter that you feel may indeed indicate that my personal philosophy would be at odds with the best interests of the city.

6.       What would you do if you were contacted directly by a resident or business to resolve a city related problem?

First, I would take every step I could to answer questions they have or resolve concerns they face. If there is a problem with policy or city ordinances, I would encourage them to outline those concerns to me in writing, and to share their concerns with the rest of the city council. If there is a problem with a specific city function, like illegal dumping, I would direct them file a complaint on the MyTorranceCA App, for example.

 

7.       If you are currently contracting with or providing services to the City, are you willing to suspend those activities?

I am not contracting with or providing services to the city. In the event that someone would invite me to enter into a contract, I would reject that offer.

8.       What do you see as the biggest challenges facing this city next year?

Maintaining strong public safety and ensuring a welcoming, strong business climate. The state of California has provided an increasingly hostile regulatory schema for local businesses. We need to fight back against this much as possible.

9.      What are your three top priorities for the City?

Maintaining public safety. We need to support our police and fire departments, along with our other public workers. While I understand that there are bad actors in some police departments, and they do need to be removed, we must not allow the bad actions of a few to malign the many good police officers, including those in our public safety departments.

Supporting current businesses and industries while welcoming in new industries with a more facile process.

Ensuring a quality of life for city residents that makes Torrance the envy of the South Bay, if not the entire state of California.

10.   What do you feel needs to be done to maintain and enhance the City’s economic health?

We should provide a flat fee for doing business in the city of Torrance as opposed to graduated license fees based on size of business, number of employees, etc. I think we should discuss lowering the local sales tax, to invite more consumers and potential buyers to purchase goods and services here in the city of Torrance. I might even suggest offering a holiday for one year on the collection of business fees due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns and shutdowns.

City hall needs to root out and remove extraneous spending, as well.

11.   Circumstances outside the City’s control can and have impacted dramatically the City’s budget. What approach would you take as a Council Member to balance the budget or address the issues?

I would withdraw the city of Torrance from the South Bay City Council of Governments and the Southern California Association of Governments. These agencies exact extensive fees from the city, and I feel that we are not getting our money’s worth.

I think we need to conduct a comprehensive audit of some other city services, like Torrance Transit. Some residents complain to me that very few people ride the bus, and other App programs have replaced the bus services.

I would work with city staff and council to find ways to fend off and discourage the frivolous lawsuits which target the city or to seek mediation on key legal disputes where possible.

12.   Have you reviewed the City’s budget and are you familiar with where and how the City receives its funding?

Yes.

13.   Have you reviewed the City’s General Plan?

Yes.

14.   Have you attended and/or participated in any civic meetings and if so, which ones and describe your participation?

I have attended a number of Torrance City Council meetings, since 2014. I have commented on a number of agenda items, and I have advocated for the city to take the lead on key issues. I have met with city councilmembers and even the mayor on individual occasions as well as during city council meetings.

I have been involved with the Torrance School Board on a number of issues, including the long-term viability of SCROC, as well as concerns about the content and curriculum instructed to children in the Torrance schools.

I have contacted and advocated for policies, positions, and resolutions before multiple city council and county board meetings throughout the state of California, as well. The issues and concerns have ranged from public safety to respect for constitutional rights of cities and citizens.

I have participated in public committee hearings in the California State Capitol, as well as in other states, including the state of Montana.

He’s the WORST person! Absolutely disgusting! Only cares about lining his pockets! Mayor Fraudy doesn’t care about our residents or our city. 

We’ve been having tons of issues with Auto dealerships in the area illegally dumping chemicals down the residential gutters, using ALL THE PARKING in the residential neighborhoods for their employees and customers, using all the parking at Columbia park, throwing trash EVERYWHERE, having sex in their cars in the middle of the day in front of children, using drugs on their lunch breaks, hitting our cars, double parking truck haulers and blocking us in for hours and even days at times, violating all of their conditional use permits! 

I had a police officer and a parking enforcement officer both tell me and a neighbor they’ve been advised to “not get involved per his instructions! Fraudy also moved forward with an illegal build and an open car wash. 

Our whole neighborhood has tried over and over to address these issues the correct way for years. We’ve gone to city council meetings and he’s so rude. He won’t let any of us talk, he interrupts and rolls his eyes, cuts us off in the middle of speaking and is just plain rude!

Not to mention the money he stole from the city with no repercussions! How the hell is he still the mayor?

In a previous post, we shared with you about another chapter of California MassResistance, this time located in El Segundo, CA, a quiet suburb just south of the Los Angeles International Airport.

We shared with everyone how our Organization Director, Arthur Schaper, reached out to all of his El Segundo contacts, as well as other local activists, to show up and counter-protest Black Lives Matter. This new chapter of this violent, Marxist hate group had been harassing the city of El Segundo for a few months with an increased number of demands. Finally, CA MassResistance activists stepped up and countered their lies.

Since then, a strong CA MassResistance chapter has formed in the city of El Segundo. They have continued to counter Black Lives Matter, and they are now setting up rallies of their own to educate the community with the truth about BLM and their Marxist, Pro-LGBT efforts.

El Segundo High School Graduate Speaks Out

One of the activists we have connected with, Chris (his name has been changed to protect his identity), shared with us how the LGBT movement has been pushing hard in the local schools in his community.

Most parents, most people in the public are not aware of this, but the LGBT movement has been targeting local schools, not just the school boards, to create pro-LGBT club chapters like The Gay-Straight Alliance. LGBT activists not only sponsor and promote these clubs, but they go out of their way to engage students to bully other students to join them.

A Conservative Student’s Perspective

 

When I began my time at El Segundo High School in 2011, I was almost immediately ostracized by both students and teachers alike due to my nonconformity to a system that pushed a socially liberal agenda, particularly that which favored the growing LGBT movement. I’ve always considered myself to be politically Libertarian, and my stance on most if not all social issues was that if it did not immediately apply to me, or people I cared about, I chose not to get involved. This was not as a matter of complacency, but more of a matter that if I was not knowledgeable on a topic on a personal level, I would not have the means to carry on an informed conversation or debate if it came down to it.

 

El Segundo High School

 

I am against the conditioning that has taken place in the school system that has trained students to ostracize anyone that does not fully agree with the left-wing agenda. My “no opinion” stance on many social and political issues at El Segundo High School set me apart from a majority of the students, because if you didn’t 100% support the “Liberal” ideology, you were considered public enemy number one, and as a result I was subject to all degree of insults and threats from many of the other students. 

 

My experience with the politics of El Segundo High School came to a head in 2012 shortly after the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. At the time, it was very well known throughout the school that I was an avid firearms enthusiast, as well as a competitive marksman, and that I was very well spoken in regards to my support of the 2nd Amendment, even though an overwhelming majority of the school disagreed with my views. In one English class, taught by an instructor that is no longer employed by the school, the teacher had made an assignment where each student would have to write an essay as if they were writing it to their congressman, demanding stronger gun control and so-called “assault weapon” confiscation. I later discovered that some of these essays were actually going to be sent off to our representatives. I politely, yet firmly informed the teacher that I refuse to write any such essay that contradicts my beliefs, and that anything I write would be in favor of the 2nd Amendment, expanding enforcement of current constitutionally compliant laws, and to expand greater enforcement against those who have criminal histories, or a history of mental illness, and that nothing I write would be in favor of confiscating firearms from law abiding citizens.

 

This was not acceptable to this teacher, and by means of escalating the matter to the principal, tried to force me to write it. When that failed, I gladly accepted the zero on the assignment. Much later, I had been made aware that this instructor had made a recommendation to put me under administrative observation, because supposedly being a firm believer in my 2nd Amendment rights made me a potential threat to the rest of the school. I had only discovered this after I was called into the guidance counselor’s office on several occasions, where they would ask questions such as if I was angry at anyone in particular or would wish harm on them, how I felt I was doing on an emotional level, and later bluntly asking me if I had immediate access to any firearms or other weaponry, at which point I began to question the motive behind these meetings.

           

It was also during 2012 that El Segundo High School’s “Gay-Straight Alliance), later the LGBT Club, was at the height of its involvement at the school. I recall there being dozens of fundraisers, rallies, and events either sponsored by, or headlined by the GSA. At one point, students were going door to door in each of the class periods, looking to expand their roster by asking students in each of the classes to sign up for the club, or at the very least, subscribe to the club’s newsletter. Myself, and several other students in that class period respectfully declined. As stated earlier, I never got involved in topics that did not pertain to me or someone I cared about, and this was no exception. For a while after, I heard misguided remarks such as “I heard you didn’t sign up for the GSA, you must hate Gays”, as well as threats of violence from many students. The verbal remarks were mostly harmless, but the threats made me think about how many on the socially liberal side try to make Conservatives seem like the violent ones, yet they were the ones to throw insults and make threats of violence.

Later that same year, myself and several students attempted to start an after school Conservative club, where like-minded individuals could meet and discuss topics such as Gun Control, and traditional family values, and try to find common ground with students that were either on the fence, or on the other side of the fence in regards to either side’s politics. This plan was shot down when none of our teachers would sign off and approve it, and the principal had informed some of the founding members that such a club would be in poor taste, and contradictory to some already existing clubs, without naming any specifics. In the interest of not wanting to cause discord between “us” and “them”, it was decided that our conservative club would not have a place at El Segundo High School, yet their clubs [LGBT, Gay-Straight Alliance, etc.] would be allowed to continue operating, due to them having the majority support of the school.

 

The following school year, in a US History class, another teacher had us participate in an exercise where the class was evenly split between two sides, those which supported stricter gun control, and those that did not. Over the course of the class period, I presented one fact after the next in regards to how our current laws worked, and how stricter gun control laws only hurt the law-abiding. Many fellow students realized that I was correct on just about every point, and later began to research on their own and come to their own conclusions. Many other students did not, as they were led to believe that guns, the Second Amendment, and those that support it are immoral and should be abolished. As for me, I was asked to leave the class, as it was stated that I was being rude by debunking several student’s nonfactual claims. While the school administration assured me that I was “technically” in the right by presenting my side of the debate, this instructor had made it clear they did not want me in their class, and urged me to consider transferring into another class with a different teacher.

 

This multitude of transgressions against my conservative beliefs, as well as a number of other issues, including multitude of failures by the school to act against violent bullying, doxxing, and even drug trafficking and use that happened on campus ultimately led to my decision to drop out of El Segundo High School and finish the rest of my education via homeschooling. To my knowledge, based on credible information by many students I’ve spoken to in recent days, the school has not changed much, if at all, from when I was there.

           

In recent days, it is very often claimed that the city of El Segundo, as well as El Segundo High School, discriminates against those that are LGBT, as well as those who fall into minority demographics. These claims are backed up with little to no factual evidence, only word of mouth from the majority. Those of us that fall into the minority, that being constitutional conservatives, or the “Right Wing” are largely silenced by both the city and the high school, as our ideology does not fit their liberal narrative. Certain agitator groups within the city have also now begun organizing students in more recent years to “enlighten” the community on the supposed discrimination they face on a daily basis at ESHS, even going so far as to state that El Segundo is the 5th most racist state in California, and that we’re home to a branch of the KKK, both without providing any factual evidence to support these claims. When questioned, the students that presented these false claims backpedaled, and refused to have any discussion pertaining to what they said. 

 

In short, the claims that are being circulated that El Segundo, particularly the high school, is a haven for conservative “right-wing” politics that allows discrimination against “left wing” politics without consequence is a blatant, outright lie. Complacency by the school administration allowed discrimination against conservative students to go on almost entirely unhindered, and the school only intervened when conservative voices only started getting louder. 

This is just one account of one student in a suburban high school in Los Angeles County. The teachers, the administrators, and even the elected school board members were all complicit on pushing these destructive agendas on the students. When one student stood out and refused to cooperate, they relied on every resource possible to force him to comply, or to silence him. This is just one student’s account, and this one student was brave enough to speak up, fight back, and then ultimately walk away from the toxic environment at the school where he attended. Other parents have reported to us since our report on Black Lives Matter that this left-wing, pro-LGBT, anti-American indoctrination is happening in their children’s schools, as well.

From its inception, MassResistance has been committed to fighting this scourge in the local schools. While the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed the spread of this destructive LGBT agenda, many school districts are still pushing to homosexuality, transgenderism, and radical intersectionality politics onto students through distance or online learning.

We are working with a number of parents and different groups throughout the United States to expose this state-sponsored corruption of minors. MassResistance is determined to push back and end this assault on our youth and the country’s moral fabric in every way possible.
