South Bay Leftists Support Terrorists, Refuse to Condemn 'Dancing Palestinians'

This is the tolerant left.

This is the "Love all people" diversity crowd which is behind the whole "Free Palestine" cause.

And to think that all of this is now happening in Torrance, CA.

For the last year and a half, nearly two years, a group of local leftists--the Bernie Sanders crowd, the Black Lives Matter people, and the rogue Democratic partisans on the South Bay have been lining up to support the regressive Palestinian cause.

I saw them assembled on the street corner of Hawthorne Blvd and Artesia this whole time. Finally, I decided to confront them about the "Dancing Palestinians" who celebrated the slaughter of American citizens on 9-11.

See the video for yourself, and you will see how abusive and intolerant they truly are. They are not interested in truth, justice, or righteous outcomes. They push their repeated slander against Israel and Zionism in general. The outrageous attacks against Prime Minister Netanyahu are particularly disturbing.

If they believe that a sovereign nation's defending itself from terrorism constitutes "genocide," then no country has a right to defend itself ... ever.

Here are the reports on the Dancing Palestinian:

Israeli Arab Christian Denounces So-Called Palestinian Cause, Defends Is...

Yosef Haddad, an Arab Christian and Israeli national, blasts the pro-"Palestinian" mob during his Oxford Union speech in defense of Israel and against the motion that Israel is an apartheid state. Here's a biographical summary from Wikipedia about Yosef Haddad: "Yoseph Haddad is an Arab-Israeli Orthodox Christian who was born in Haifa, Israel. His mother was a teacher and his father was a priest, businessman and civil aviator. Later, the family moved to Nazareth, Israel, where he attended the Don Bosco Technological High School named after Giovanni Bosco." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoseph_...) More people need to see this stellar take-down of those arrogant Oxonian SJWs! I learned things about Israel which I had never know before! I post this video under Fair Use, and I found it via this X post: https://x.com/LizaRosen0000/status/18...

FREE SPEECH DEBATE: Arab-Israeli Conflict (Nick Taurus v. Arthur Schaper)

Here's my full debate with Nick Taurus, a pro-Palestinian Trump supporter from Orange County, CA.

Some people consider that an oxymoron. How can someone support the Palestinian movement, since so many of them are Leftists? Of course, his side, and many of his supporters, counter that Israel and Zionism are the greatest threat

The debate took place at the Laguna Hills Community Center on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.

Nick reached out to me in the middle of Summer 2024. He was hoping to pair me off against another anti-Zionist speaker. He reached out to a number of left-leaning, pro-Palestinian groups, but none of them would step up.

I was glad to step in and stand for truth, stand for Israel, and expose the truth about the so-called Palestinian movement.

This was not as daunting a task, since I had debated Nick on the Arab-Israeli conflict shortly after the October 7th, 2023 Hamas massacre:

For the October 30th, 2024 debate, Nick provided all the questions in advance, which was great, since that gesture allowed both of us to study, research, and prepare more effectively.

He also provided ground rules, which included no interruptions. I admit that that is my weak point. CRINGE! It's true, and I can laugh at myself about that.

There were supposed to be two moderators, a pro-Zionist and an anti-Zionist, but the pro-Zionist could not make it at the last minute.

Lawrence of Europa served as the moderator, and like CBS or NBC moderators, he broke the rules and interrupted me a few times, but that conflict did not stop me from speaking out.

Some of my friends joined the event, including Rachelle Mand, a Persian Jew who fled Iran before the Ayatollah took over. Keith Hardine of South Los Angeles, John Willis of Upland (both former members of We the People Rising), and Eli Komai of the John Birch Society also attended.

It was a pleasant surprise to see Eli, who is also a friend of Nick Taurus.

GROUP PHOTOS!

The debate was fun!

It was great to stand for truth, to refute a lot of the anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist talking points.

Nick was definitely the more reserved debater, standing behind the podium the whole time. I was more active, moving around a great deal. I don't recall any rules of decorum regarding our behavior, so there is that.

I really enjoyed stepping forward and speaking to the audience directly. For the first time in a long time, I felt really confident about this subject. It was good to interact with people.

Nick referenced a great deal of books, resources, and authors. That did not bother me, since truth is truth, and if lots of information is based on a false premise, everything else is invalidated. I also referenced some books, websites, and authors. I will say this much: I want to work on memorizing more names and more sources for future debates.

Let me get the worst and the missed opportunities out of the way:
  • Nick pointed out that there are Jewish people in the Biden Administration who are part of the open borders agenda. But who put them there? Joe Biden! I should have responded to that, but there were so many other things I wanted to respond to.
  • He talked a great deal about "Jewish" NGOs pushing mass migration and open borders. Who funds them, though? Most of the funding comes from rich white liberal Gentiles.
  • He mentioned the Appollo Affair. Yawn. I had challenged that in the last debate, in which independent American and Israeli investigations confirmed that Schlomo Solomon did not steal any uranium. A third party, Seymour Hersh, did his own investigation and wrote his findings in The Sampson Option.
  • I neglected to point out that Amin al-Husseini, the grand Mufti of Jerusalem, along with other Arab interests in the Middle East and Muslims in Southeastern Europe, collaborated with the Nazis to exterminate the Jews in Europe instead of expelling them to the Middle East.

Some of the best moments (for me) in the debate:
  • Pointing out that Israeli police officers arrest hyper-Orthodox Jews when they spit at Christians. That fact deflated the whole talking point from the anti-Zionists in the audience.
  • Using the phrase "so-called Palestinians" and undermining the legacy and veracity of that term. It felt really good to inform the audience that Zionist founders like Golda Meir and David Ben-Gurion were also Palestinians!
  • Not breaking a sweat when one of the anti-Zionist members of the audience asked me about the Haavera Transfer Agreement. At that moment, I had not heard of that phrase, although I know that Hilter initially wanted to expel the Jews to the Middle East. Instead of getting flustered, I got to the heart of the issue: "Do you think that justifies pushing 6 million Jews into ovens?" I also stated, "Whatever that is, that does not delegitimize Israel." That's what all these obscure references are really all about.
  • Refuting the "Dancing Israelis" conspiracy by using the phrase "Dancing Palestinians." I wanted to underscore the reality that it's the so-called Palestinians and their Arab/Muslim allies who are harming this country. I really thank God for having that phrase on the tip of my tongue.
  • Referencing Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, who served in a foreign military in order to supporting allow American citizens to serve in Congress. Nick acknowledged that point as a good counter-argument, and I respect that.
  • Repeating the fact that Israel offered the so-called Palestinians a state FIVE TIMES. None on the Pro-Palestinian side can bellyache about fairness or lack of return, when so-called Palestinian leaders just want to push the Jews into the sea.

My favorite moment was turning the tables on a groyper wearing an American Flag jacket during the Question and Answer period. I think his name was Andrew, although I could be wrong. He referenced the Lavon Affair, which is a common anti-Zionist talking point. He went off about the USS Liberty, which I had mentioned before he did. He tried to interrupt me a few times, but I was relentless in pushing back on the anti-Zionist tropes.

I really like that I held him accountable for exploiting those veterans, and I also like that I could get the truth out about Lyndon Baines Johnson, one of the most consequential--and the worst--Presidents in our country's history.

Frankly, I think that the biggest problem for many of these anti-Zionist guys is that people simply do not let them talk, and they do not respond with simple facts or evidence. People get easily offended because of the controversial nature of the subject and just shut off all discussion. That is not the way to win (back) hearts and minds.

I liked that I was able to confront other anti-Semitic conspiracy theories in the audience, and Lawrence could not stop me. The whole situation reminded me of JD Vance, when he confronted the CBS moderator for "fact-checking" him, when the corporate media moderators were just lying. Nick backed me up when the moderator got out of line, which helped a great deal.

Post-debate was great, too. A number of people came up to me and thanked me for coming, including the pro-Palestinian groyper (?) wearing an American flag on his jacket. He came up to me and shook my hand, praising me for stepping into hostile territory and taking a stand for Israel.

I let him share his views on "The Jews did 9-11," and I was able to refute his arguments.

I think it's quite telling that during the Question and Answer period, Nick did not want to spend too much time responding to his question about invading and destroying Israel. Even for anti-Zionists, the American-Flag jacket guy's arguments were way too much!

Nick was very magnanimous and praised me efforts after the debate. I am grateful that I could come and speak up, too!

Rebel News at the London "Opposition to Anti-Semitism" March

Dear Arthur,

For nearly two months, I’ve watched the great city of London, England, overrun with terrorist supporters.

That’s not an exaggeration: hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets calling for the extermination of Jews in Israel (“from the river to the sea”), and world-wide (“Intifada revolution”).

I went to one of those hate marches, and I could only find a single person who was willing to call Hamas a terrorist group (but still not denounce them). My colleague Alexa Lavoie went to another London hate march, and even found some people praising Adolf Hitler and his Final Solution.

But Sunday was when Britain’s Jews and many righteous Gentiles took to the streets of London in a giant rally against antisemitism. I was there, and I made a 50-minute mini-documentary about it.

Click here to watch it now:

What do you think? Do you think I was too tough on liberal Jews, who for years have promoted open-border immigration and “woke” ideology in national institutions? I think those are the very forces devouring Britain’s Jews today.

Let me know what you think. I’m worried about the UK because every day it bears less resemblance to the land that Shakespeare described as “the envy of less happier lands, This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.” And as the UK goes today, Canada goes tomorrow.

Yours truly,

Ezra Levant

Pastor Scott Lively Explains: "Replacement Theology is a Fraud"

 A CAUTION TO THORN KICKERS

The most famous Jew of the Bible, after the Judean Jesus, was Paul, the self-described “Pharisee of Pharisees.” That chief persecutor of Christians, who was known first by his Hebrew name Saul, adopted the Latinized version “Paul” after being famously, uniquely saved and anointed for service by the ascended Christ Himself on the road to Damascus in Acts 22. When giving that testimony to King Agrippa in Acts 26:14, Paul reported that Jesus had said “in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”

To kick against pricks (thorns) has ever since been a metaphor for foolishly harming oneself by persisting in futile acts against God’s will. Significantly, the thorns in question were almost certainly from the same plant of which Jesus’ Crown of Thorns was made: “Euphorbia Milii,” known commonly today as “Christ thorn.” That crown was the first element of the Romans' mocking tribute to "The King of the Jews" in John 19.

Paul believed he was serving God by opposing the Christians but was only hurting himself because he didn’t understand God’s plan for the church until his spiritual eyes were opened -- by being (temporarily) physically struck blind.

Likewise, many Christians in today’s “anti-Zionist” camp don’t understand God’s plan for the Jews and are thus “kicking against the pricks” by denying their right to the Holy Land.

As God’s post-conversion Apostle to the Gentiles, the Jews’-Jew-become-Christian Paul was uniquely qualified for his special mission as God’s messenger to non-Jews and his letters provide us most of the reasoned systematic theology that defines Christianity. God’s perspective about the Jews and Judaism is scattered throughout Paul’s letters, but is most complete in his Letter to the Romans, including the critical question of how Gentiles are to treat Jews in the Gentile age, filling the entire 11th chapter, key excerpts of which follow:

I [Paul] ask then, did God reject His people? Certainly not! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew....What Israel [as a whole] was seeking, it failed to obtain, but the elect [those few Jews who accepted Christ] did. The others were hardened...I ask then, did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Certainly not! However, because of their trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous...For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?...Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, remember this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

“You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.’ That is correct: ... And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut from a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into one that is cultivated, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not be conceited: A hardening in part has come to Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved [at the Second Coming, when]...The Deliverer will come from Zion...For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.

Romans 11 is an unequivocal proof-text against “supercessionism” (replacement theology) which holds that the church fully replaced the Hebrews as the beneficiary of His covenant. Supercessionism (and its pernicious cousin punative supercessionism) is the great error of Roman Catholicism (which was largely retained by Protestantism in the reformation), justifying the persecution of the Jews in many pogroms throughout history, and in turn causing Jews to create their own culture-shaping/controlling mechanisms in self-defense, as God gave them the power to do (Genesis 22:17c).

[My only goal in stating this observation is to seek the objective truth above that fray. I have come to believe that much, or perhaps most of world history in the Age of the Gentiles has been shaped by a largely behind-the-scenes war for world control between the institutions of Roman Catholicism and Talmudic Judaism. I have launched a new book research project on this hypothesis with the working title of "Judah Under the Gentiles."]

As much as I love both Roman Catholic and Talmudic Jewish friends whom I have known, both religious camps represent a departure from Scripture through the undue elevation of (sometimes but not always false) human-created doctrines and interpretations that came to define them. But just as Paul noted in Romans 11:2-5, there has always been a remnant of true believers in both Christianity and Judaism (which fact does not nullify John 14:6).

Irony: Director of Jewish Studies Supported Anti-Semite Kevin MacDonald's Academic Freedom

In 2004, I enrolled in the teaching credential program at Cal State Long Beach. Two years later, I would have my teaching credential.

In the meantime, I did a great deal of reading and writing on campus. I was always researching, visiting the stacks in the main library. For a number of months, I would do the basic coursework for earning the credential, and then I would look over the numerous books that I had borrowed. One could say I was a voracious reader!

My credential advisor at the time was Arlene Lazarowitz.

Dr. Arlene Lazarowitz

I will be sharing more information about her shortly.

At that time that I enrolled at Cal State Long Beach, the California Teaching Credential program at Cal State Long Beach was renowned. Many of my high school teachers earned their credentials in that program. It helped that Long Beach was close to home, so I did not have to commute long or move to the campus to earn the credential.

Now, the interesting story that I wanted to share about my time at Cal State Long Beach has to do with the infamous Kevin MacDonald!

Kevin MacDonald, aka K-Mac.
His motto: "It's the Jooz' Fault!"

He was a tenured faculty member at Cal State Long Beach, a social scientist and evolutionary psychologist who conducted considerable research into Jews, Judaism, and Western politics and philosophy. He wrote a trio of books on the subject, the most incendiary of which was entitled:

The whole title was actually:

The Culture of Critique : An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Involvement in Twentieth-Century Intellectual and Political Movements

In this book, Kevin MacDonald argues that Jews in the United States and in other countries pursue values and policy goals to promote their own interests, often at the expense of the home countries which they live in. He further makes the argument that the left-wing zeitgeisten that has become commonplace in the United States and throughout the West is a result of Jewish academics and activists pushing their so-called anti-West, anti-White agenda.

MacDonald asserts that it's the Jews' fault that mass immigration has become a point of great contention in the United States, and that demographic changes are becoming considerable in the United States. He argues that Jewish activists started and promoted the NAACP. He focuses narrowly that they lead to the end of Darwinist theory in the social sciences, which gave rise to the multiculturalism movement and the argument that all cultures--traditions, values, habits--are equal, and equally estimable. This movement, he asserts, is a result of Jewish academics pushing their own self-interest to undermine the so-called ethnically "white" majorities in the Western World while promoting themselves and their interests into the seats of power.

He ultimately argues that Jews are pushing this agenda all at the expense of Europeans and their descendants, i.e. Jews are hurting white people.

MacDonald's assertions were blunt, blustery, controversial to say the least. Most importantly, they are false. His views are clearly, and he admits it unabashedly, anti-Semitic. He has openly decried the attacks on "White people" and one can basically reduce his moral worldview to "It's the Jooz' Fault!"

I cannot speak too charitably about his delusional thinking. It is really offensive!

I started hearing about this guy while I was earning my teaching credential at Cal State Long Beach in 2004. MacDonald would retire in 2006, so he was still technically active as an academic, a tenured faculty member on campus while I was getting my credential.

MacDonald's research received scant attention from other academics for decades after it was published. Professor Steve Pinker, for example, dismissed MacDonald's work as not worthy of any serious academic inquiry. However, such disregard has not prevented his ideas from getting promotion from certain political operatives in the United States. In the last five years, Alt-Right proponents have taken K-Mac's research (his supporters call him "K-Mac" as a term of endearment) and promoted his ideas for the last five years. During the Charlottesville rally turned riot in 2017, for example, the chants of the white supremacists, white nationalists, and neo-nazis included "Jews will not replace us!" Where does this conspiracy theory come from?

The Culture of Critique.

The pernicious lies of this crank academic are getting more mainstream. It's time to do more than just stand by and say "His ideas don't matter." They require contention, confrontation, and correction.

For this reason, plus the fact that anti-Semitism is becoming more chic among younger so-called "conservatives" and college students in general for their overheated, baseless hatred of Israel and championing of the so-called Palestinian territories, I have been very alarmed about this trend and have wanted to combat it. For the last few weeks, I found myself engaging with Groypers, bigots, and other white nationalists on Gab, who routinely attack me for speaking out against Anti-Semitism and denouncing this false narrative that the Jews are the problem in our culture and our country.

Barely two years ago, I remember eating breakfast at a local McDonald's, and I started up a conversation with a guy who was eating with a passing acquaintance. Out of nowhere, this guy just blurted out to me: "Did you know that the Jews were behind 9-11?"

I nearly burst out laughing, the statement was so ludicrous. Then a creepy sense of unease washed over me. Then I started probing him on this issue, asking him to prove his assertion, which he clearly could not do. I then denounced his remarks and walked away.

It's shocking that such heinous, delusional anti-Semitism still lingers in the world, even in the United States, and even here in supposedly progressive, tolerant, and accepting Southern California.

So, getting back to Cal State Long Beach ...

I mentioned that MacDonald was still a tenured faculty member at Cal State Long Beach while I was earning my teaching credential. I also mentiomned  my Second Teaching Credential advisor Arlene Lazarowitz:

She had quite a reputation on campus. She was tough, loud, brooked no argument from students when they tried to turn research papers in late. She was the most ostentatiously Jewish person one could possibly imagine, too (and that's not an insult)! She was unapologetically liberal, with a very strong New York time accent (even though she was born in Canada. Go figure!). During her classes, she sometimes mentioned going to synagogue every Saturday with her colleagues. In short, she was very open about her Jewish identity. In fact, she was the Director of the Jewish Studies Program at the University!

Certainly, she would fit into the nefarious profile of "The Jews" that Kevin MacDonald had repeatedly argued in his book. He claimed many times over that Jews and Judaism operate based on an evolutionary strategy to promote their own interests while undermining the interests of gentile populations around them. They even go out of their way to suppress anti-Semitism via these same subversive, coercive methods.

If any of MacDonald's conclusions were actually true, one would think that the outspoken Jewish academic and activist Dr. Lazarowitz would have gone out of her way to fight back, suppress, and "cancel" MacDonald's research or end his tenure.

But on the contrary, Lazarowitz SUPPORTED his academic freedom!

Check out her statement in this edition of the Cal State Long Beach student newspaper:

Arlene Lazarowitz, the director of the Jewish studies program at CSULB, said that while she does not agree with many of MacDonald’s conclusions and that they are too subjective, she is happy that CSULB allows its faculty to think and publish freely without the threat of censorship.

In a debate about the validity of MacDonald’s research by members of the College of Liberal Arts it was determined that the tenured professor did not teach any of his research in the classroom and therefore was entitled to publish his research.

Lazarowitz added that instead of censorship, the best response to MacDonald’s research is to prove it wrong.

How about that?!

When I first read this account in the student newspaper, I was really surprised and thrilled to see this kind of openness in academic inquiry. One would think that she would have gone out of her way to suppress and shut down MacDonald's research, discredit his professional career, and even get him fired.

Not a chance.

The further irony, when I remembered this, was that her very stance in favor of academic freedom further undermined MacDonald's noxious thesis! Jews are not operating to promote their own interests at the expense of their home country at all. In fact, Lazarowitz was defending and celebrating the university's atmosphere of free inquiry! One would think that if there were any truth to what MacDonald had asserted in The Culture of Critique, there would have been some effort by Jewish groups on campus to get MacDonald removed, and Lazarowitz would have been leading the effort.

That is precisely what did NOT happen. This anecdote has come and gone in my memory over the last few weeks, and it's particularly noteworthy for me since I was there in the midst of this controversy, although it impacted my only tangentially at best.

Today, I am sharing this story to fight back against the corrupt, corrosive lies of Anti-Semitism, which are becoming more popular on social media and in academia, and which need to be challenged, debated and debunked, as Dr. Lazarowitz had asserted nearly twenty years ago.

Bret Stephens, Anti-Semitism, and Anti-Trumpism

Before Wall Street Journal columnist recorded a video for PragerU about the economic and cultural woes of the Arab world, he had written an article about it.

Bret Stephens, neoconservative with some social conservative leanings, exposed how throughout the Arab World, the reason for ongoing moral, political, and economic decline all traces its origins to Anti-Semitism.

In fact, almost verbatim he reads his editorial for PragerU audiences.

Here's the contents of the article:

An Israeli heavyweight judoka named Or Sasson defeated an Egyptian opponent named Islam El Shehaby Friday in a first-round match at the Rio Olympics. The Egyptian refused to shake his opponent’s extended hand, earning boos from the crowd. Mr. Sasson went on to win a bronze medal.

If you want the short answer for why the Arab world is sliding into the abyss, look no further than this little incident. It did itself in chiefly through its long-abiding and all-consuming hatred of Israel, and of Jews.

That’s not a point you will find in a long article about the Arab crackup by Scott Anderson in last weekend’s New York Times Magazine , where hatred of Israel is treated like sand in Arabia—a given of the landscape. Nor is it much mentioned in the wide literature about the legacy of colonialism in the Middle East, or the oil curse, governance gap, democracy deficit, youth bulge, sectarian divide, legitimacy crisis and every other explanation for Arab decline.

Yet the fact remains that over the past 70 years the Arab world got rid of its Jews, some 900,000 people, while holding on to its hatred of them. Over time the result proved fatal: a combination of lost human capital, ruinously expensive wars, misdirected ideological obsessions, and an intellectual life perverted by conspiracy theory and the perpetual search for scapegoats. The Arab world’s problems are a problem of the Arab mind, and the name for that problem is anti-Semitism.

As a historical phenomenon, this is not unique. In a 2005 essay in Commentary, historian Paul Johnson noted that wherever anti-Semitism took hold, social and political decline almost inevitably followed.

Spain expelled its Jews with the Alhambra Decree of 1492. The effect, Mr. Johnson noted, “was to deprive Spain (and its colonies) of a class already notable for the astute handling of finance.” In czarist Russia, anti-Semitic laws led to mass Jewish emigration as well as an “immense increase in administrative corruption produced by the system of restrictions.” Germany might well have won the race for an atomic bomb if Hitler hadn’t sent Albert Einstein, Leo Szilard, Enrico Fermi and Edward Teller into exile in the U.S.

These patterns were replicated in the Arab world. Contrary to myth, the cause was not the creation of the state of Israel. There were bloody anti-Jewish pogroms in Palestine in 1929, Iraq in 1941, and Lebanon in 1945. Nor is it accurate to blame Jerusalem for fueling anti-Semitism by refusing to trade land for peace. Among Egyptians, hatred of Israel barely abated after Menachem Begin relinquished the Sinai to Anwar Sadat. Among Palestinians, anti-Semitism became markedly worse during the years of the Oslo peace process.

In his essay, Mr. Johnson called anti-Semitism a “highly infectious” disease capable of becoming “endemic in certain localities and societies,” and “by no means confined to weak, feeble or commonplace intellects.” Anti-Semitism may be irrational, but its potency, he noted, lies in transforming a personal and instinctive irrationalism into a political and systematic one. For the Jew-hater, every crime has the same culprit and every problem has the same solution.

Anti-Semitism makes the world seem easy. In doing so, it condemns the anti-Semite to a permanent darkness.

Today there is no great university in the Arab world, no serious indigenous scientific base, a stunted literary culture. In 2015 the U.S. Patent Office reported 3,804 patents from Israel, as compared with 364 from Saudi Arabia, 56 from the United Arab Emirates, and 30 from Egypt. The mistreatment and expulsion of Jews has served as a template for the persecution and displacement of other religious minorities: Christians, Yazidis, the Baha’ i.

Hatred of Israel and Jews has also deprived the Arab world of both the resources and the example of its neighbor. Israel quietly supplies water to Jordan, helping to ease the burden of Syrian refugees, and quietly provides surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities to Egypt to fight ISIS in the Sinai. But this is largely unknown among Arabs, for whom the only permissible image of Israel is an Israeli soldier in riot gear, abusing a Palestinian.

Successful nations make a point of trying to learn from their neighbors. The Arab world has been taught over generations only to hate theirs.

This may be starting to change. In the past five years the Arab world has been forced to face up to its own failings in ways it cannot easily blame on Israel. The change can be seen in the budding rapprochement between Jerusalem and Cairo, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, which might yet yield tactical and strategic advantages on both sides, particularly against common enemies such as ISIS and Iran.

That’s not enough. So long as an Arab athlete can’t pay his Israeli opposite the courtesy of a handshake, the disease of the Arab mind and the misfortunes of its world will continue. For Israel, this is a pity. For the Arabs, it’s a calamity. The hater always suffers more than the object of his hatred.

Write bstephens@wsj.com.

Bret Stephens rejects the dangerous irrationalism of anti-Semitism.

His psychological and historical exploration of this topic is informed and precise.

And yet ... he is a NeverTrump conservative (?) who still would have preferred Hillary Clinton as our next President.

He had declared that the country couldn't survive Trump, but could survive Hillary.

Trump did win, and the country has survived.

With Stephens, I beg to differ: this country could NOT have survived Hillary Clinton, because she was so corrupt.

Stephens has diminished Trump's interest in "America First" as nativism. He refers to his brand of leadership as "Sovereign democracy". To compare Trump and Putin as ideological allies is quite suspect. It's simply untrue that Trump does not support classical liberalism, i.e. free markets, free enterprise, free speech.

But Stephens is still opposing Trump.

Why?

Tax cuts. Deregulation. More for the military; less for the United Nations. The Islamic State crushed in its heartland. Assad hit with cruise missiles. Troops to Afghanistan. Arms for Ukraine. A tougher approach to North Korea. Jerusalem recognized as Israel’s capital. The Iran deal decertified. Title IX kangaroo courts on campus condemned. Yes to Keystone. No to Paris [Climate Accords]. Wall Street roaring and consumer confidence high.

This is an excellent yet incomplete list of Trump and the Republican Congress' accomplishments in the last year and a half.

And, of course, Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court. What, for a conservative, is there to dislike about this policy record as the Trump administration rounds out its first year in office?

In one word: nothing.

And yet ...

That’s the question I keep hearing from old friends on the right who voted with misgiving for Donald Trump last year and now find reasons to like him. I admit it gives me pause. I agree with every one of the policy decisions mentioned above. But I still wish Hillary Clinton were president.

How does that make sense? Can I still call myself conservative?

You really can't, Bret, or at least you need to be honest about the ulterior motive for disparaging Trump.

How can this conservative intellect justify this argument?

The answer depends on your definition. Here’s one I’ve always liked: “The central conservative truth is that it is culture, not politics, that determines the success of a society,” said the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan. To which he added: “The central liberal truth is that politics can change a culture and save it from itself.”

Conservatives used to believe in their truth. Want to “solve” poverty? All the welfare dollars in the world won’t help if two-parent families aren’t intact. Want to foster democracy abroad? It’s going to be rough going if too many voters reject the foundational concept of minority rights.

And want to preserve your own republican institutions? Then pay attention to the character of your leaders, the culture of governance and the political health of the public. It matters a lot more than lowering the top marginal income tax rate by a couple of percentage points.

So he doesn't like how Trump behaves before the public. He doesn't like the direct, striking remarks which he makes against world leaders. He doesn't like that Trump is not essentially, extensively, perhaps excessively diplomatic.

This is the fatal mistake of conservatives who’ve decided the best way to deal with Trump’s personality — the lying, narcissism, bullying, bigotry, crassness, name calling, ignorance, paranoia, incompetence and pettiness — is to pretend it doesn’t matter. “Character Doesn’t Count” has become a de facto G.O.P. motto. “Virtue Doesn’t Matter” might be another.

The fact that Stephens writes "G.O.P." instead of "GOP" indicates his writing platform: the New York Times. I suspect that like many columnists, Stephens would be out of a job if he spoke favorably of President Trump.

But character does count, and virtue does matter, and Trump’s shortcomings prove it daily.

Maybe you think the Russia investigation is much ado about nothing. Yet Trump brought it on himself every step of the way, from firing James Comey after the former F.B.I. director wouldn’t swear fealty, to (potentially) admitting to obstruction of justice with that tweet about Mike Flynn’s firing. Or maybe you regret the failure to repeal Obamacare. But that had something to do with the grotesque insults Trump lobbed at John McCain, the man whose “nay” vote sank repeal.

No, it had to do with the fact that John McCain is a thin-skinned child in an adult body who doesn't like the fact that his budget-busting internationalism is no longer in vogue, much like the neoconservative agenda attributed to Bill Kristol, Bret Stephens, Charles Krauthammer, and the like.

Look at every other administration embarrassment (Scaramucci) or failure (the wall, and Mexico paying for it) or disgrace (the Charlottesville equivocation). Responsibility invariably lies with the president’s intemperance and dishonesty. That puts Republican control of Congress in play. It also risks permanently alienating a millennial generation for which the G.O.P. will forever be the party of the child-molesting sore loser and the president who endorsed him.

The fact that Stephens lost his poise over Charlottesville shows that like main editorial elites, he is more interested in being liked by the rest of the Chattering Beltway class than caring about what is best for the rest of the country. He then leads unfounded credence to the lie that Judge Roy Moore was a child molester. There is simply no truth to those frauds. None. In fact, one of the accusers even admitted that she forged his signature (the date next to it specifically) in her yearbook.

These would-be accusers were beyond shameless. Since Moore's unprecedented loss last December, he has filed lawsuits against the accusers for defamation of character. Stephens, Mona Charen, and other "conservative" editorial writers haven't been able to shake this fundamental snobbism, this need to be liked by the glitterati.

Now look at the culture of governance. Trump demands testimonials from his cabinet, servility from Republican politicians and worship from conservative media. To serve in this White House isn’t to be elevated to public service. It’s to be debased into toadyism, which probably explains the record-setting staff turnover of 34 percent, according to an analysis from the Brookings Institution.

Trump doesn't demand much of anything from the conservative press. They offer it to the President gladly because he is governing in a conservative manner. Trump isn't interested in getting nice headlines. He is interesting in accomplishing conservative goals--and he has gotten more done. The elitist journalists like Stephens can't handle the fact that Trump, who is not "one of them", has gotten more done on their list of goals.

In place of presidential addresses, stump speeches or town halls, we have Trump’s demagogic mass rallies. In place of the usual jousting between the administration and the press, we have a president who fantasizes on Twitter about physically assaulting CNN. In place of a president who defends the honor and integrity of his own officers and agencies, we have one who humiliates his attorney general, denigrates the F.B.I. and compares our intelligence agencies to the Gestapo.

What universe does these people live in?

Stephens has "Anti-Trumpism", another highly infectious disease which overtakes dispossessed intellectuals who still want to think that they are "better than others" and are just "more educated" than the rest of us little people.

It's too bad that Stephens has descended into this myopic hatred of the President. For all the thinks for which he faults the President, he sure carries on with similar behaviors himself.

Trump is normalizing all this; he is, to borrow another Moynihan phrase, “defining deviancy down.” A president who supposedly wants to put a wall between the U.S. and Latin America has imported a style of politics reminiscent of the cults of Juan Perón and Hugo Chávez.

Is communism on the rise? Has he shut down the press? Has he locked up opponents? What has not occurred to many of these second-hand intelligentsia is that the everyday people across the country, the ones who don't spend their days filling up the press corps and fulfilling the inane wishes of wannabe conservative academia.

Conservatives may suppose that they can pocket policy gains from a Trump administration while the stain of his person will eventually wash away. But as a (pro-Trump) friend wrote me the other day, “presidents empower cultures.” Trump is empowering a conservative political culture that celebrates everything that patriotic Americans should fear: the cult of strength, open disdain for truthfulness, violent contempt for the Fourth Estate, hostility toward high culture and other types of “elitism,” a penchant for conspiracy theories and, most dangerously, white-identity politics.

The contempt for the Fourth Estate is embodied in that very phrase "estate". The corporate media has viewed itself as the final arbiter of truth, of what constitutes news and what does not. The press corps has routinely gotten world events wrong. They predicted a Hillary win, but Trump took the Electoral College on Election Day.

The liberal media have filters that insist on how the world should work, and write stories which reflect this bias. The work-a-day readers, consumers of news are starting to realize how much is narrative, spin, and fraud. The so-called Fourth Estate which Stephens esteems has become despised, descending into anti-Trump self-parody.

This won’t end with Trump. It may have only begun with him. And Trump’s supporters may wind up proving both sides of Moynihan’s contention: not just that culture is what matters most, but that politics can still change it — in this case, much for the worse.

Politics is downwind from culture.

The culture is changing, though, as more people have stopped reading the New York Times and have started reading Breitbart and watching other Independent media sources. The more that that individual readers realize that the mainstream media has not been honest, that they have no right to claim the perfect mantle of objective, the more that they struggle and attack the President.

The press, the corporate media for which Stephens works, does not want to learn from their mistakes. They want the world, the stability of their narrative, to stay the same. That's just not going to happen anymore.

And that's what drives these elites crazy. That is the source of Anti-Trumpism.

Anti-Zionist, Anti-Jew Sentiment Among "Red-Pilled" Groups

First, I learned about how extensive the Holocaust denial industry has grown, but I also learned that more people are taking on these lies and not backing down.

I have sensed for the last year that a number of conservative outsiders have had a problem with Israel. They claim that the country engages in human rights abuses, that they have no right to the territory. There are further claims that fault intelligence from Israel induced the United States into wars in the Middle East.

Much of this is bunkum, of course, but why do these otherwise conservative "red-pilled" groups hate Israel?

One source informed me that the wacky reports on YouTube have seduced many of these younger minds to reject the Jewish State. The conspiracy theories spun out about a few paramilitary ventures under Israeli authority have fed this unfunded hatred of Israel. A number of videos that I have watched articulate that the whole Holocaust is made up or exaggerated. After watching these videos, however, the arguments offer nothing substantive to debunk the Holocaust.

What do they say about the testimonies of the thousands of survivors? Where did they get the tattooed numbers from? I find it hard to believe that there would be so many people of different nationalities who would fabricate such an elaborate scam. How about the massive video recordings of Germans dumping the dead bodies of gassed Jews into mass graves? I saw those videos as early as 7th grade. I defy anyone to claim that all of those videos were some kind of elaborate hoax.

William Shirer's book "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" is one of the most exhaustive histories on the Third Reich, including the Holocaust. The bureaucrats and and Nazi military thugs who designed and implemented the massive annihilation of targeted groups, starting with the disabled and mentally ill, then continuing with their genocidal plans against Jews, Gypsies, and other "undesirables". They also kept exhaustive records of all the people whom they murdered. The rolodex records, names, the extensive steps to legitimize Jews, expel them, sequester them, incarcerate them, then annihilate them was well-documented.

Some "intellects" cannot fathom that such evil resides in the hearts, the flesh of mankind, yet it's there.

Beyond that, there is a growing upset about "Jewish Elites" controlling the media. These wannabe conservatives have a growing outrage with Jews in general, though, because a large segment of them do lean left. There are a number of people of Jewish descent who work in the entertainment and media industries, too. These individuals then conclude that "The Jews" are the problem.

But wait ...

Not every liberal media mogul is Jewish. Rupert Murdoch is not Jewish, and yet many of these globalized anti-Zionists fervently believe that Murdoch is Jewish! It's crazy. There is no talking to them about this matter.

Many Jews in the media and in everyday life are conservative, at least those whom I have met and read about. I have met Orthodox Jews in West Los Angeles who affirm to me that they voted for Donald Trump in 2016. Ben Shapiro, Mike Levin, Dennis Prager, David Rubin are conservatives or classical liberals. How about Evan Sayet, who used to be a confirmed liberal, but rebelled against his left-wing peers and allied academics when they spent more time defending terrorists than fighting them.

This idea of a Jewish plot to take over the media, to take over the world is simply unsubstantiated, but it's not an old line of attack. Read "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and you will find out that for the last 150 years, the push to demonize Jews as an enemy to every civilized country where they live. These notes have been thoroughly debunked as a Czarist forgery meant to justify the savage pogroms against Jews in Russia.

And yet ...

There are the Red Elephants. Nick Fuentes, and an assortment of other alternative right-wing groups and speakers who hate Israel. One video outlined reasons why Christians should give up their "love affair" with Israel; however, the video snipped out video segments from a Jewish gathering which was not taking place in Israel to begin with!

Anti-Zionist lunacy on full display

Then there are stories about the "unjust" treatment of the Palestinians, along with the argument that Israel is an imperial power taking land away from Arab owners. What?! Huh?! They see Iran as a victim-state rather than a sponsor of terrorism all over the world, including Israel as well as the United States. I don't recall Israel threatening to blow Iran off the face of the earth, nor do I recall members of the Israel Knesset burning American flags or taking Americans hostage.

I do recall reading about Israel taking out nuclear reactor in Iraq, which the violent Baathist dictator Saddam Hussein was building. There were diplomatic talking heads who condemned the incident, but in reality many heads of state were glad that Israel had taken the pre-emptive strike to take down the reactor in Osirak.

Then there are the arguments that support for Israel is somehow inconsistent with putting the United States first or investing in this country's better interests. I used to believe that the United States should provide foreign aid or investment to any country. Now I see that American investment in Israel pays off in multiple ways. $3.8 billion is a nothing compared to the data, the intelligence, plus the cultural and spiritual values which Americans and Israelis share.

I would submit that opposing Israel is in fact anti-American. One cannot claim to put America First if they routinely pillory and undermine the state of Israel.

That little nation along the Mediterranean coast is the only stable democracy in the region, aside from Iraq post-Hussein, although its status and stability are in question. The nation continues to serve as a countervailing force against Iran and against Islamic tyranny in the region. They have helped the long-term fight against ISIS. They provide food, water, and technology through research, development, and implementation throughout the world. Their humanitarian investments counter China's aggressive military and cultural imperialism in Africa, too.

And yet these "conservative" groups hate Jews and hate Israel.

Why?

1. YouTube viewership without critical thinking.
2. A latent atheism, which is common for many among the alt-right.
3. A knee-jerk Buchananite nationalism, even though Pat Buchanan no longer opposes Israel and considers the Jewish State an ally. Why did Buchanan's views change? He actually visited the country.
4. The fear of being labeled a "cuck" or "Establishment" by their alt-right peers if they stop hating Israel.

What is astonishing to me about this group is that they oppose globalism and the left-wing media ... except when it comes to Israel. They believe all the negative reports written in Haaretz about Israel. They will trot out two major negative events, the Lavon Affair and the attack on the USS Liberty, to justify their unfounded hatred of Israel.

This is no joke. I have read anti-Israel articles and listened to anti-Israel spokesmen, and they invariably throw out references to those two events, then they talk about Jews controlling the Fed, the media, major institutions in the United States Government.

It gets old fast. It's pretty sad, and yet all too common.

For the record, the USS Liberty incident was deemed a fog-of-war tragedy after at least six investigations. The commander in charge of the USS Liberty declared that it was a fog of war tragedy. Even if all the allegations of violent conspiracy are true, would these anti-Zionists conclude that the United States government worked with Israel to cover up this supposed deliberate attack?

How do we deal with these lies about Jews, Israel, the Judeo-Christian legacy?

We fight back with the truth, but we should not vouch for or demand the forced silence of these individuals. If people want to condemn Israel and embrace their Anti-Semitic beliefs, then so be it.

But we have every right to speak the truth and not hold back our recognition of the facts on the ground.

Anti-Semitism on YouTube: My Video and The Comments Which Followed

After the stellar victory  at the Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting, in which they rescinded their misguided homeless movement proposal, I walked outside and met with one of the "Homelessness is a Human Right" activists.

He started going off on his hatred of Jews.

He then equated Jewish people with the illegal aliens coming from Mexico. That in itself is deeply offensive, because Jews slaughtered in the Holocaust were not illegal aliens of any kind. They were citizens of their country, only to endure the shameful injustice of having their citizenship reduced, diminished, stripped away from them, and then their lives taken away.

So, I posted this video in part to shame this creep for playing the race card against citizens who simply want our nation's immigration laws and borders enforced.

Here are the comments I left in the description section:

But the comments which follow underneath the video are breathlessly hateful.

The second reason I am posting this video is to show people who pervasive the anti-Semitic hatred has perpetuated on YouTube in the comment section:

Davina Right
Where’s the lie? He’s CORRECT.

No he is not. Period.

Jews ARE the problem. How can you not know that?

Such astounding hatred. Notice also that 8 viewers liked this comment!

Sickening.

Here's another reader who

He is right!!! I have dealt with a lot of jews in my lifetime and all the stereotypes are 100% TRUE!!! Youre wrong Arthur!!!

Nope. This guy is wrong. I wish that people would think through this hatred.

Although I am starting to wonder if there is any capacity to think for those with such blinding Jew-hatred.

Check out the level of race-baiting ignorance below:

The act of being a Jew is a religion, not a race. therefore, there is no racism here.

Being Jewish is an ethnic status, or race if you will, as well as a religion. The stifling amount of ignorance explains this unfounded hatred.

Final Reflection

We need to combat this hatred. Anti-Semitism is a virulent form of hate, oftentimes based on an exchange of false, immoral ideas rather than any bad experiences with individual Jews.

YouTube claims to oppose "hate speech", yet the above comments are clear examples of hate speech which YouTube has done nothing to combat. Of course, I do not want speech silenced. There is no such thing as "hate speech" in my view. What does matter, however, is that we need to spend more time confronting these lies with the truth!
