Arthur: Our seven endorsed candidates for the U.S. Senate are all running strong, competitive campaigns, but they need help to win. MIKE BRAUN – Indiana Businessman Mike Braun (R-IN) raised $2.5 million in the past quarter and currently has a slight lead over Senator Joe Donnely (D-IN) in the polls. It's clever posturing to get favorable headlines in West Virginia, but the truth is Manchin has benefited from millions of dollars from Schumer and his liberal campaign machine and will be a loyal supporter after the election. MARSHA BLACKBURN – Tennessee The new vacancy on the Supreme Court highlights the importance of the U.S. Senate race in Tennessee and shows why electing U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is critical. Cruz's conservative leadership has made him a top target of the left, which is why his opponent, U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-TX), is raising tens of millions of dollars. JOHN JAMES – Michigan Combat veteran and businessman John James (R-MI) continues to gain support in the Republican primary election for U.S. Senate. Senator Tester continues to do everything he can to convince the voters that he's one of them, but his record is one of a very liberal politician. JOSH HAWLEY – Missouri A new poll shows State Attorney General Josh Hawley overtaking Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) by two points (48% Hawley, 46% McCaskill). McCaskill continues to duck debates with Hawley and will likely oppose the nomination of Brett Kavanagh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Senate Conservatives Fund: YUGE Victory in West Virginia for MAGA Agenda

I can't withhold my joy following the May 8th, 2018 primaries in four states:

1. Indiana
2. North Carolina
3. Ohio
4. West Virginia

The US Senate GOP primary in West Virginia was not only contentious, but worrisome. Would establishment candidate Evan Jenkins make it? What about that Blakenship guy, a convicted felon who had violated mining laws and endangered the lives of his workers?

The best candidate was -- and it -- Patrick Morrisey. A conservative, concerned citizen, and well-read attorney general is the best candidate going forward to fight for working West Virginians.

But ... within days of the primary, it looked as if the convicted felon was going to win the primary. The shock poll had everyone worried.

But ... Morrisey pulled it off!

Now, what about Joe Manchin, the embattled incumbent?

Well, he was facing a primary challenge from the left, a Bernie-crat socialist who wanted the government to do more for the hurting West Virginians, when government excesses are causing the rising poverty and privation.

Men need work, and Washington DC has spent more time undermining the working classes and backbone industries which have made America great and kept the country independent from foreign influence and intervention.

Manchin won his primary, but with 60% of the vote. Nearly 40% of West Virginia Democrats wanted someone else besides Manchin. This guy is not only facing a tough general election, but it looks as though the state is going to become a GOP sweep from top to bottom.

There is no way Manchin can survive now, especially with a candidate so well-liked by the President and the manifold coalition of Trump supporters who define West Virginia today.

The Establishment is Striking Back! Defend Conservative US Senate Candidates!

Senate Conservatives for Election 2018: McConnell Makes Excuses

The leadership in Washington DC sucks because the Swamp still runs the show.

Too many people make money off the government. They depend on the largesse. When Richard Nixon wanted to shut down the Tea Tasting Board, a number of interest groups lobbied against the move.

Nixon had to back off. The Swamp, the huge clutch of consultants, lobbyists, and bureaucrats who make big money off of government spending fight back against any cuts to the state and federal budgets.

Congressmen have more interest in keeping their jobs than making sure that we can keep our Republic.

No one said that Making America Great Again would be easy. We have a long, long road ahead of us, but with Trump's election and the fight against the political class, we are getting our country back.

In the meantime, it is well worth our while to put a fire under the butts of the bad leadership in Washington who continue to get rich while the rest of the country gets poor.

We need to get better leadership than McConnell, but who will replace him?

Arthur: Facing the prospect of big Republican losses in the midterm elections, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has begun yet another effort to deflect blame for his own mistakes. After failing to deliver on the party's promises to repeal Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood, and build the border wall, McConnell is determined to avoid responsibility. Specifically, he's working to lower expectations for the midterm elections and to make President Trump responsible for the fallout. "We know the wind is going to be in our face. We don’t know whether it’s going to be a Category 3, 4 or 5," McConnell told reporters in a transparent effort to position himself as the victim and to make it look like Republicans are on defense this year even though it's the Democrats who have to defend far more seats. McConnell's supporters have also begun a coordinated PR campaign to argue that it's President Trump, not Senator McConnell, who is responsible for the outcome of the midterm elections. One pollster friendly to McConnell said, "If Donald Trump wants to keep a Republican Congress, he has to differentiate when he's attacking Congress in general versus the Republicans in Congress." Got that? The establishment is saying that President Trump is the reason why voters don't like Republicans in Congress. Never mind that the GOP leadership has failed to deliver; it's Trump's fault for acknowledging it. But there's more... Karl Rove and others are now arguing that Mitch McConnell would have delivered on a robust legislative agenda if not for a string of conservative candidates who cost them seats in past elections. This is the argument they always pull out when their backs are really against the wall. It's total nonsense. First, it's Mitch McConnell who has cost Republicans numerous Senate seats by nominating weak establishment candidates and by abandoning viable conservative candidates. And it's Mitch McConnell who continues to insist on passing bills with 60 votes when he has several tools to pass reforms with a simple majority. Even when he had a chance to repeal Obamacare with just 50 votes, he wouldn't do it! The truth is that Mitch McConnell does not support a conservative legislative agenda and there is no amount of power that would lead him to pass conservative reforms. He could have 70 Republicans in the Senate and he would still make excuses. It's time for Senate Republicans to replace Mitch McConnell with a leader who truly believes in limited government, respects and values the grassroots, and will fight for conservative policies. Senate Conservatives Fund: Uproot Obamacare, Don't Fertilize It

Arthur: After failing to repeal the law they campaigned against for nearly a decade, Republicans may use the upcoming omnibus spending bill to bail out Obamacare with taxpayer-funded subsidies. Republican leaders are working on a plan to provide roughly $30 billion in bailout money for health insurance companies.  If they succeed, Republicans will not only have failed to repeal Obamacare, they will have helped the Democrats expand it. Instead of repealing it "root and branch" like they promised, they will have watered and fertilized it! Once Congress starts bailing out insurance companies, the bailouts will never end. Liberals in both parties will forever call for more money to "stabilize" the marketplace. Tell Senate Republicans to oppose Obamacare bailouts. You can send a blast e-mail message to all Senate Republicans with just a few clicks using our advocacy platform. Bailing out Obamacare would be a major mistake. Not only will it make it harder to repeal Obamacare, but we've already seen that these subsidies don't work in terms of lowering premiums. The only way to do that is to repeal the benefit regulations that have made coverage so expensive. Also, this policy betrayal will depress Republican turnout in November, making it even easier for the Democrats to win key races. We can stop this bailout, but we must take action now. Senate Conservatives Fund Reminds Liddle Bob Corker: It's Time to Retire!

The Senate Conservatives Fund already witnesses the epic disaster which can overwhelm a red US Senate race if there are desperate primary fights tying up and wasting Republican monies.

The Democratic challenger for Tennessee's US Senate seat has a relative level of popularity, especially since he was governor nearly 20 years ago, and most people will likely recall basically conservative governing views and decisions.

Bob Corker is thinking about not retiring?

As liberal Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) reconsiders his decision to retire, he should proceed with great caution. According to our survey, likely Republican primary voters want him to retire by an overwhelming margin. Retire - 64% Seek Re-Election - 24% Unsure - 12% And if Senator Corker were to run against the two Republicans already in the race, he would lose by 23 points to conservative U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) if the election were held today. Marsha Blackburn - 49% Bob Corker - 26% Steven Fincher - 9% Undecided - 17% Looking at the favorable and unfavorable opinions that Republican primary voters have of Corker and Blackburn it's clear that if Corker runs, it will be at his own peril. While Corker has a negative net image (-2%), Blackburn has a very positive net image (+43%). Senate Democrats Kill 20-Week Abortion Ban

Arthur: Earlier this week, three vulnerable Senate Democrats who are up for re-election this year voted to defeat a bill that would have protected the lives of unborn children after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Senators Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Jon Tester (D-MT), and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) all voted against the 20-week abortion ban, also known as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. The United States is one of only seven countries, including North Korea and China, that allow abortion after five months. Opposing this bill is simply indefensible.
