Bob Dylan Explains Why Major News Will Always Be Fake News

Now this is a stunning yet disturbing reality.

News will always be fake, or it will tend toward accomdating the powers that be rather than challenging them.

This statement is quite profound in its simplicity. How could we not recognize this?

But the bigger question becomes -- how do we get around this problem?

Allow for more competition among the different news agencies?

How about ensuring that more individuals can report whatever they can to be effective?

The whole concept of print, media and reporting cannot be divorced from some of revenue. Why are we going out of our way to allow a couple of well-connected cronies deciding what gets printed and what does not?

At any rate ...

What has happened is that a few well-connected individuals, liberal and left-wing, took over the reins of communication.

Now they feel the reins slipping out of their hands, and there is nothing they can do about it.

Thank God for Trump, who helped usher in a new media (press, social media etc) and new media (plural of medium) to get the word out against everyone and everything that is trying to block us and stop us!

Red Wedding: LA Weekly Goes Bust, Editors Fired, One Staffer Remains

In Mid-October, a new company purchased LA Weekly.

The Los Angeles Times reported:

LA Weekly’s owner, Voice Media Group, has agreed to sell the alternative weekly newspaper as it sheds print assets and focuses on its digital business, a representative for Voice Media confirmed Wednesday.

The focus on digital business should come as no surprise. The print media industry is in complete freefall at this point. Journalism majors are fleeing the business in large numbers since there's no money left. Pulitzer Prize winners don't get a bump in their pay, and one of them in the South Bay, Rob Kuznia of the Daily Breeze, ended up leaving journalism altogether to become a publicist at USC.

And now LA Weekly?

The buyer, Semanal Media, is a new entity created for the purpose of this transaction, said Sara April at Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, a merger and acquisition firm that is representing Voice Media in the sale. April would not say who owns Semanal or where the company is based.

A mystery owner buys up the alternative paper? Wow!

A reminder for anyone who has been paying attention ...

LA Weekly was a very liberal newspaper. They went after Republicans and conservatives with abandon. They loved to print the sob stories about illegal aliens and make everyone pity the foreign nationals who broke in the United States.

Gene Maddaus had his own deleterious reputation according to other reporters, and this rag played  large part in bringing down the LA County Assistant Sheriff Paul Tanaka, for what it's worth.

This obituary of sorts before the final sale and culling of editors tells the story of the liberal media in Los Angeles County:

His actions did not go over very well with readers in the public who followed up on these actions in Clint Paulson's blog "Torrance City Council".

She lied about me to the crowd on many issues, and every time she got taken down. "Nobody likes you", she shouted at me.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that these abusive bigots attacked parents and children at the Santa Ana Independence Day festival?

SCF: Tax Reform Means No Tax Increases and No Bailouts

Arthur: Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) are demanding that the tax reform bill include a trigger that automatically raises taxes in the future if tax receipts fall below projections. This is a bad idea. Raising taxes is never a good policy, but this provision also adds complexity and uncertainty to the tax code that will limit its impact on economic growth. Bob Corker and Jeff Flake want people to believe they're concerned about the deficit, but if that were true they would not have supported so many bills to increase the debt limit and increase spending. If there is going to be a budget trigger, shouldn't it automatically cut spending which is the real problem in Washington? The tax trigger should be rejected and the tax rates in the bill for individuals should be lowered so no American, regardless of where they live, has to pay higher taxes. As we mentioned before, we also believe that any side deal to allow for the passage of health insurance company bailouts should be categorically rejected. This is something Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) promised the moderates in the Senate and it's a bad idea. The only way to make health coverage more affordable is to repeal Obamacare's benefit mandates, which have forced Americans to buy things they don't want. AL.com is reporting that activists pushed thousands of felons to register to vote in the upcoming special election for United States Senate. Below, we have Matt Lauer grilling Corey Feldman about the pedophile rings rampant in Hollywood.

Kids go in hoping to become stars, only to find out that they are prey for perverts looking for another conquest.

Terrible.

Election 2018 Torrance Mayor's Race: Time to Get Real

People, I will not be nice or diplomatic about this.

The city of Torrance needs real leadership, not corruption, arrogance, and malfeasance.

Crook Pat Furey must go, but right now there are two other contenders and they are poised to cancel each other out and give Crooked Pat re-election.

Ron Riggs and Tom Brewer, it's time for you BOTH to put the best interests of the city ahead of anything and anyone else. Who cares if I don't get invited to the Christmas parties or the swearing-in ceremony next June.

We need a fighter, we need someone who will call out the wasteful spending, the street-sweeping racket, the planning commission shenanigans, and the ardent bigotry of the mayor, who somehow thinks that the expression of First Amendment Rights constitutes an embarrassment to the city of Torrance. Not to mention the fact that one dollar out of four from the general budget goes to a pension!

We also need someone who will say to the labor unions "No More!" and say to the small businesses "Here's your money back." How about LOWERING the sales tax?

If neither one of you wants to do any of this, then both of you should back off and let another candidate run.
