(Response to Ambassador deploys FBI to former Hermosa commissioner’s home)
I wish that The Beach Reporter and written about this, so I am sharing what happened. On October 6th, 2026, Kent Allen, a Hermosa Beach resident, received an unexpected visit from the FBI. Ric Grenell , the former Ambassador to Germany under the Trump Administration, claimed that Kent Allen threatened him. What did he say? We don't know, because Grenell doesn't tell us, pretty much proving that Allen did nothing wrong. The fact is that Grenell got upset with a Hermosa Beach resident because he complained about a text message Grenell had sent out during the campaign season. If Grenell can't handle Hermosa Beach residents complaining about his campaign text messages, then he needs to get out of politics entirely. It is unconscionable and unbecoming for a former official to dispatch law enforcement after a private citizen simply for exercising his First Amendment rights. Trump did the right thing by getting rid of Ric Grenell. What an embarrassment he is! Perhaps the FBI should pay Grenell a visit for filing a false report!
