LAUSD: Morally and Financially Bankrupt

Los Angeles Unified School District is having a hard time paying the bills, teaching the kids, and thus keeping its doors open.

Clearly, the administrators, bureaucrats, and the elected Board of Trustees don’t handle addition and subtraction all that well. The district is failing basic math, and not just for the students.

According to ABC News Los Angeles, LAUSD is on the brink of bankruptcy:

The Los Angeles Unified School District could run out of money within about a year and is showing severe signs of financial distress, according to county education authorities.

The nation's second-largest school district, which serves more than half a million students, faces possible insolvency, prompting the Los Angeles County Office of Education to take action.

The district's last student population estimate listed 497,105 enrollees. That’s LESS than half a million. Even ABC News is having number troubles.

What happened, and what could happen if the district doesn’t get its act together?

Officials cited massive union contracts estimated to cost more than $1 billion annually, along with declining enrollment and reduced state funding, as factors contributing to a growing deficit and the possibility of state oversight.

"Worst case scenario is the state takes over, and this goes under receivership under the state, and that takes a long time to get out of, and it is really hard to maintain any control over curriculum, over class size," Bacall said.

I am shocked---SHOCKED— (not!) that the school district is going belly up, and the parents are taking their students out.

The warning signs had been blaring for years.

The usual suspects cannot be ignored, and are easy to catalogue:

·         Plummeting Enrollment

·         Rising Inflation

·         Excessive Pensions and Salary Costs

·         Administrative bloat with Diminished Transparency and Oversight.

·         Lawsuit payouts

The biggest killer, obviously, is the plummeting enrollment. Los Angeles Unified kids aren’t learning, that’s for sure. According to US News and World Report, math proficiency scores have been plummeting across all grades. Reading scores show some progress from elementary to high school, but less than half of LAUSD high schoolers are proficient.

In the real world, companies without customers close down. In perverse contrast, government institutions get their money, whether they serve or not.

And LAUSD is not serving the public interest.

On top of that, LAUSD schools are not even safe. The students routinely run into abuse and harm from their peers—and sometimes their teachers! The rising rates of violence are frequently on the news. The feds could pull their funding because of the rising number of predator teachers who get transferred instead of incarcerated!

Getting a bad education from LAUSD was expected, but the student population was still relatively high.

Twenty years ago, I was a French teacher in South Gate, in a new school built on the site of an old General Motors plant. New school, lots of students (almost 3,000!), and there still weren’t enough classrooms. I had 45 students in one class! I could barely move around the room, and some students feared for their safety if there was a fire. When I threatened to call the fire marshal, the union rep leaned on the assistant principal, who moved three students out and dumped them in a P.E. class—those poor teachers had to deal with 70 students per period!

See how only three students were removed. Not much help there! Notice the bureaucratic hustle to get something done, too.

Fast forward to now, and LAUSD high schools, on average, manage around 1,000 students. Some of the schools should have been closed by now!

What changed the student population, then, if the bad education wasn’t enough? The dam broke with the COVID outbreak, which ended parental non-involvement. COVID-19 may have shut down the schools, but the whole ordeal opened the eyes of parents throughout the state. They saw the left-wing garbage their children were forced to learn. They saw the bad curriculum, the lack of attention to detail, integrity, and success. Los Angeles parents had had enough, and they voted with their feet, sometimes moving their kids to local districts (Downey, Torrance, Wiseburn Unified in the LAX-area are some notable examples), or they just left the state entirely.

COVID was a tipping point for another reason. Five years ago, I joined LAUSD teachers and parents protesting the outrageous health mandates from the district to “protect the kids.” Political affiliation or ideological leanings didn’t matter to all concerned attendees. Employees, students, and parents across the district protested in front of 333 South Beaudry, demanding that the district rescind its onerous vaccine mandates and mask rules and keep the schools open!

During the main rally after our march around the district office, teachers complained about the increased burden of contending with discipline issues and health demands. Then one of the students addressed the crowd, and her comments worked out to something like this: She lamented all the woke nonsense being shoved down her throat. She was tired of hearing all the race nonsense. She was tired of learning about the LGBT agenda and sitting through all the sexual diversity displays. Her summation was crystal clear about LAUSD, that they were not teaching anything, and then they make them wear these stupid masks, too!

Despite the rallying cry of parents and teachers, the district kept cracking down on the holdout teachers, staff, and students who had refused the jab. Facing the dim prospect of never entering the classroom again if they refused the dubious poke, students left.

The district didn’t care. They were looking for absolute obedience from the rank and file. If you didn’t step up, you got the boot.

And the teachers union—ULTA (United Teachers of Los Angeles)—didn’t care.

Five years later, their wicked, progressive partisanship could not be clearer. They don’t focus on education. They focus on leftist politics and progressive activism. In 2025, I was stunned by the large number of UTLA teachers protesting at Elon Musk’s Tesla headquarters in Hawthorne, CA. Didn’t they have more important things to do, like grading papers, preparing lessons, and contacting parents?

Their most pressing concern was stopping federal cuts to public education and the Department of Education. What they refuse to talk about—and this returns to the bureaucracy issue—is that public education could accomplish great things for students and parents with half the overhead, more accountability, lots of school choice, and efficient hiring and firing practices.

UTLA shouts “DOA!” at all of these reforms.

And the parents say, “CU Later.”

And now LAUSD announces that they’re broke.

Frankly, this is a fitting end for one of the largest school districts in the country. This kind of disruption, the cold equations of supply and demand, will do more to clean out the left-wing corruption that has marred states like California and New York while also limiting (and perhaps one day) shutting down the inordinate power of the National Education Foundation and the attending teachers unions across the country attached like tentacles to this destructive interest group.

LAUSD has been morally bankrupt for a long time, much of it from a corrosive teachers' union, inept and cowardly politicians, and misplaced priorities. Now their fiscal bankruptcy has come, and not a moment too soon.

MassResistance Exposes the Los Angeles "Pride" Parades

LA Pride Parade reveals rot in government, unions, politicians, and corporations

Showing how they are enemies of a normal, healthy society

Government should enforce obscenity laws and refuse special exemptions for the LGBT agenda

How MassResistance is fighting to turn this around

July 1, 2026

“Gay pride” month is finally over.

It’s disturbing and a bit frightening that so many “legitimate” entities still publicly participate in “gay pride” parades. MassResistance went to Los Angeles to see this firsthand. Numerous government agencies, politicians, unions, and American corporations took part in the event.

“Gay pride” month – and particularly its gross and offensive parades in cities across the country – is clearly losing acceptance (if it ever really had it) among average Americans. This year, numerous gay pride events have been cancelled for lack of financial support, though they still manage to thrive in big cities where there is more support available.

The Los Angeles Gay Pride event on June 14 was like those in Boston, New York, Chicago, and other big cities. It included a parade through the city and a “festival” with booths.

Here’s some of what we saw that day:

Public displays of people’s perversion and dysfunction

“Gay” has always been a front for a range of weird sexual behaviors and dysfunction. The propaganda machine in the media and elsewhere hides this very well. But at “gay pride” parades, the true nature of “LGBT” comes out from the shadows.

ALT TEXT What would a "gay pride" parade be without a contingent of BDSM (bondage, dominance, sadism, and masochism) marchers along with their BDSM flag?
ALT TEXT There were lots of "transgender" marchers, even men with beards dressed as women.
ALT TEXT This contingent included a giant penis. These seem to show up a lot at "gay pride" parades.

ALT TEXT This float advertised "LA's Best Transgender Events."
ALT TEXT Virtually every "gay pride" event has several booths like this to help attendees avoid sexually transmitted diseases.

Here’s who supported this

In a healthy society, one would expect these groups and individuals to be promoting wholesome community values and opposing unhealthy, destructive, and morally loathsome behaviors.

ALT TEXT The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power had a float with this banner. Who would have thought even they would be in this?

Final thoughts: How MassResistance is fighting back

The massive private foundation funding for the radical LGBT agenda gives it a huge advantage. Support by big corporations helps push it into the workplace and the public sphere. The mainstream media and entertainment industry collude, forcing it into everyone’s faces.

But the truth is that without the force of government, the LGBT presence would be a fraction of what it is. Vicious and oppressive non-discrimination laws covering homosexual and transgender behavior have forced acceptance into everybody’s lives. Following that have come laws mandating teaching LGBT “rights” and sexuality in the schools, inclusion in teachers’ certification, and state regulations for adoption and children’s services departments.

MassResistance has been working with state legislators and city councils across the country to repeal these venomous non-discrimination laws. And we are making progress. (We’ve already reported on our success getting gay flags effectively banned from government buildings, which is related to this.)

We’ve also been helping individuals do great things to fight back in their communities. One person can complain to the police about participating in “gay pride.” One person can make the local library stop its “pride” displays. One person can derail a “pride proclamation” in his town.

Action taken by individuals can make a big difference. And the trickle-down effect will mean fewer governments supporting any part of the LGBT agenda. Let’s all help make this happen!

Book Review: Torched, by Jonathan Vigliotti

Flames, firestorms, and abject failure are the clear and present themes throughout CBS News correspondent Jonathan Vigliotti’s latest book, Torched.

Not just burned-out buildings and streets, not just charred lives and legacies, but burned credibility, flamed-out political careers, and the fake veneer of competence—which the Los Angeles City and County governments were supposed to provide Pacific Palisades—are on full, necessary display in his work.

For the worst mass fire in Los Angeles history, Vigliotti documents the before, during, and after that led to it all.

I was burned in mind and spirit after reading his excellent report, which starts with the rich history of the Pacific Palisades, from its early religious founding. Then he weaves together resonant stories of community and continuity, all the more deepening the justified outrage with the massive incompetence and unaccountability that ignited the historic conflagration of the Palisades.

At the outset, Vigliotti writes about local weather managers and surveyors, as well as meteorologists who repeatedly warned any city leaders who would listen. The city should have announced Red Flag warnings by New Year's Eve 2024, going into New Year's week 2025. Their warnings abounded as they plotted the rising Santa Ana winds, the low humidity, and the dry factors that would unleash unprecedented fiery carnage on Los Angeles.

Yet no one listened. How was this possible?

How could January 7th, 2025, have happened? After reading the book, the reader is left asking: “How could this NOT have happened?!”

Vigliotti was in the eye of the storm, reporting on the horrific fires that engulfed the once-unassailable Pacific Palisades.

His accurate and emotional reporting explores the wreckage of the recent past, including in painstaking detail (literally and figuratively) the failures, fallouts, and follies of the politicians tasked with keeping Los Angeles safe.

Reading this book, I got the eyewitness view of this massive, tragic conflagration inside and out, when most of Los Angeles was uninformed of the dangers then, and the full scope of failure up to now.

Through Torched, Vigliotti features the endearing stories of many survivors, like Raymond and Mandy Church, who took over the plumbing business from Hercules (Herk) and Annette Rossilli. This couple maintained their friendship with widow Annette Rossilini until the very end. When the flames began ravaging the Palisades,  Annette wouldn’t leave her home. Vigliotti reports that many elders resist emergency evacuation orders in the face of firestorms. They have already lost family, and the remains of their life are enshrined in their homes. They leave that, and the home goes up in flames. What else do they have? With all of this in the background, Vigliotti reflects on Annette’s decision to stay behind and protect her pets, since she was banking on the (ultimately dashed) hope that the Palisades flames would not destroy her home.

She would not survive.

In another moving account, Vigliotti retells the final heroism of 32-year-old Rory Sykes, a former child star and motivational speaker born blind with cerebral palsy. This young man and his mother were caught off guard by the fire—again, due to multiple failures from the poorly manned and poorly planned Los Angeles emergency response. The son could not get into his wheelchair in time as the fires began destroying their home. He told his mother, “You can’t save me. Save yourself.” To the very end, Rory put the needs of others first. Throughout Torched, Vigliotti restores new life and attention to Rory and other heroes in the Palisades fire, all too easily forgotten in the midst of anger and demands for accountability. Even the writer rescued three pets from another home. Not grandstanding, Vigliotti simply relates that there were many small moments of successful heroism despite the epic failures of the city leader during the ferocious blaze that engulfed the Palisades.

In the midst of the whole fiasco-inferno, Vigliotti justifiably indicates former LAFD Fire Chief Kristin Crowley. Even before reading the book, I recognized that Crowley had encountered system failures: no water, not enough crew support, not enough funding, terrible communication networks, an absent mayor, and an unaware interim mayor. Yet in the face of such monstrous obstacles, Crowley and crew did their best to stop the fire and save lives. To his credit, Vigliotti also informs readers about her efforts and heroism to save lives and homes during the 2018 Woolsey fire. Then and now, Crowley displayed calm under fire (figuratively and literally).

In contrast to well-deserved vindication, Vigliotti targets Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass with the greatest condemnation. Without providing proper notice or notes to her team or executive departments, Bass traveled to the West African nation of Ghana for the celebrated inauguration of the country’s new president. She failed to appoint key emergency managers in her absence. The Deputy Mayor, Marqueece Harris-Dawson, didn’t inform LA leaders that he was acting mayor until late in the crisis. He didn’t even know Bass’ whereabouts!

Vigliotti traces in minute detail Bass’s out-of-touch fumbling, from incoherent social media to her distracting itinerary in Ghana, including attendance at official functions, and her perfunctory connection with city leaders when the Palisades fires erupted.

Despite his great reporting, there are two criticisms I must report. Vigliotti wants to spread the blame to all parties, including incoming President-elect Trump, as well as Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass. Included in his involved timeline of the fire’s escalation and destruction, he faults President(-elect) Trump with wanting to expedite recovery in the region. Such a reaction seems understandable for an incoming Commander-in-Chief. Trump has no role in the Palisades fires. And what about Biden? Vigliotti points out that President Biden and Governor Newsom cancelled a ceremony in the Palm Springs area before announcing the creation of two new monuments. Why? Inclement weather. Why didn’t Biden take more direct action, regardless of the local response? Bass deferred requesting support because she didn’t know the extent of what was happening.

As he accurately reports, Mayor Bass deserves the bulk of the blame for the Palisades disaster. Vigliotti details how she failed as chief executive, neglecting her crucial role of signaling, directing, and supervising all emergency resources to secure and safeguard the city. There’s no need or reason to implicate Trump.

Part of his title includes “the Rush to rebuild Olympic L.A.” Vigliotti stresses the danger of political haste from LA and California leaders to rebuild. That contentious subject diverts from the fire itself. Vigliotti should have expounded on the Olympics angle—with all of its political machinations—in another book. His reporting on the causes and outcomes of the worst fire in Los Angeles’ history was subject matter enough, and a wide-ranging account that will engage any reader.

On a different note, I appreciate his contrast between the massive failures of the public fire systems and the effective, efficient, and successful private firefighters employed by Rick Caruso. Whether intended or not, Vigliotti shows how free enterprise provides more effective relief in difficult times.

Vigliotti’s Torched provides on-the-ground and overarching reporting, giving the reader a broad array of viewpoints to understand what happened, why, and how the powers that be have not learned from Los Angeles’s latest failure, with hope that the next disaster doesn’t engulf more homes and lives.

LA Votes to Give Illegals the Vote

Los Angeles, the city that no longer loves itself, the city that is casting out the angels and replacing them with progressive demons and rabid communists, has unleashed another political inferno with their latest diabolical election scheme.

By a vote of 10 to 5, the Los Angeles City Council passed a charter amendment initiative which, if approved by the voters in November, would allow non-citizens to vote in Los Angeles’ local city and school board elections.

The Democratic Socialist of America-allied (DSA) leader of the LA City Council’s progressive phalanx, Hugo Soto-Martinez, rolled out the usual dodgy reasons proffered for this scandalous proposal.

The reasons are daunting and disturbing:

1.      “The immigrants live here, too. We can’t leave them out of the process.” Notice how the open-border advocates don’t differentiate between legal and illegal? I know many legal immigrants, and they are furious that they worked hard to get into this country, only to see lawbreakers get the same rights and privileges, including who gets elected to local office.

2.      “They pay taxes.” Do they? A friend of mine, a long-time tax preparer, often complained about the IRS credits which illegals took advantage of, as opposed to paying taxes. Sure, the illegals pay taxes on goods and services they purchase, but that doesn’t justify their lawless presence in the country.

3.      “They should have a say in how local government operates, since they are affected by the local government.” Criminals are affected by local government, too, but we don’t let them decide the punishment for their crimes. Do we allow bank robbers to have a say in how best to protect financial institutions? Do we allow someone who trespasses onto our property to dictate how to mow our lawns or landscape the property? This is madness. Instead of a vote, they deserve a veto for their presence in the country.

4.      It’s the humane thing to do.” A disregard for law and order is never humane. Such lawlessness has exacerbated human trafficking and other crimes against the innocent.

5.      “We need to stand up to President Trump’s ‘war on immigrants.’” The progressive left and their enabling politicians are waging war on immigrants, i.e., those in the country legally. They are also declaring war on the idea of citizenship, the rule of law, and national sovereignty. “No borders, no wall! Sanctuary for all!” leads to anarchy and mayhem for all. Remember Seattle’s CHAZ experiment, anyone? Come to think of it, that autonomous zone had stricter borders than the southern border under President Trump!

Of course, there’s no consideration for what the voter franchise actually means. Who are the stakeholders in a city? Should those who break the law by crossing the border without authorization stay wherever and vote?

Since when does anyone think it’s good to reward brazen lawlessness?

What is it with big cities, anyway? The politicos want the votes so bad, they will let illegals invade the country, then let them settle in their backyards to help call the shots, and the powers that be will happily push aside the law-abiding citizens who pay the bills, work the jobs, and make the cities run.

This bad idea has already been implemented in other California cities.

As far back as 2016, San Francisco allowed non-citizens to vote in school board elections. The law faced legal challenges, but the First Appellate Court of Appeals reversed lower-court injunctions against the law in 2023.

In 2022, Oakland, California, voters enacted a charter amendment to let non-citizens vote in the school board elections. Why not allow them to vote in city council elections, too, I wonder? If Oakland progressives are so determined to make everyone in the city the same, why not expand the (already bastardized) franchise to everyone else?

In 2024, local reports indicated that the city still had not rolled out the process to allow the illegals to vote. As of 2026, nothing has changed to ensure they can exercise this new right. All virtue-signaling, perhaps?

The New York City Council tried this stunt in 2021. Thankfully, it got struck down five years later by the liberal—yes, seven Democrat appointees—State Supreme Court. They argued that the state constitution did not permit the city to expand the franchise.

Cities in Vermont and Maryland have joined the anti-citizen fun, but the majority of states require citizenship to vote in all elections, and five more plan on joining the ranks this year: Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, South Dakota, and West Virginia.

Now, let’s get back to Los Angeles, the latest major city to push through this vile stupidity.

Despite the majority's madness, some sanity prevailed on the city council. Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez, one of the pragmatic Democratic members of the city council, voted against this proposal, fearing that it would make it easier for federal immigration law enforcement to arrest and deport illegals in the city: “Given the dynamics that we have right now, what we’re creating is a list of individuals that could then just be the target [of] another potential federal administration.”

She concluded the right outcome, but gave the wrong reason. The illegals still need to leave, Monica! At least Rodriguez is raising hell about the waste and lack of accountability over the homeless spending.

Councilmembers McOsker, Bob Blumenfield, John Lee, and Adrin Nazarian rejected the charter amendment, as well. As of press time, none of the dissenters have responded to my media requests. Councilman John Lee, the only non-Democrat on the city council, gave the following reason for rejecting the proposal, as LAist reported:

Councilmember John Lee voted no, expressing concerns about the cost of having non-citizens vote and the logistics of determining who is eligible. For example, how long would someone have to have lived in L.A. to vote?

“Those decisions will inevitably be viewed by some as benefitting allies or harming opponents, even if that was not the actual intent,” Lee said. “The perception alone can undermine public confidence in our elections.”

Close enough, but still missing the larger point. Not just the cost to the budget, what about the cost to the city’s self-respect? What about the sovereignty of the country? Illegals shouldn’t be in the city to begin with!

Councilwoman Imelda Padilla gave a principled reason to oppose this amendment: “I am very nervous this could potentially create a disincentive to become a legal citizen.” Yet she voted for it anyway!

Clearing aside the arguments for and against, why the incessant drive to undermine citizenship altogether?

The politically cynical reason is obvious: Democrats want easy votes, and non-citizens will vote for the politicians who gave them the vote and promise them the freebies. More importantly, though, Martinez and his DSA radicals, aggressive activists as well as his colleagues on the council, are convinced that radical “fairness,” leveling to the extreme, is the only way to go. No differences among any group. There should be no boundaries.

This erosion of citizenship is a part of the LA-DSA’s communist vision. Radical equality cannot happen as long as ethnic differences, national identities, and legal distinctions of any kind remain. Everyone is equal, and no one is illegal. It’s also easy virtue-signaling for woke white liberals without cost (to them).

LA Does Not Love LA

Rolling down Imperial Highway

Sweet Nasty Redhead on my side

Santa Ana winds blowing hot from the north

We were born to ride.

I love Randy Newman, and I love his signature song “I Love LA.” When he won the mayor’s race in 2001, James Hahn played that anthem to celebrate his victory. From city attorney to mayor, Hahn worked to ensure some decency and competence in the city.

Fast forward to today, and Los Angeles is a hollowed-out, burned-out, blown-out shell of what it was.

Hollywood is leaving, and last year, Pacific Palisades went up in flames.

There’s no Richard Riordan or Sam Yorty to save the city now.

Two Democrats, a Bolshevik and a Menshevik, will fight for what’s left.

Los Angeles had a chance to build on the county’s election changes in 2024. In an unprecedented reversal, a Republican turned independent, Nathan Hochman, took on George Soros's handpicked District Attorney George Gaston. He received the support of numerous Democrats, and certainly of Republicans and independents, and he wiped out George Gaston.

Los Angeles County residents were tired of lawlessness. They were tired of seeing the intimate scenes of incarcerated gangbangers raising a toast to a pro-criminal district attorney who was fast-tracking their early release. The same year, California voters overwhelmingly approved Prop 36, which re-criminalized property theft and gave local and state law enforcement more tools to crack down on crime. The work isn't done, since County courts are stuffed with woke judges putting personal preferences and idiotic ideologies ahead of public safety. But Los Angeles County is going in the right direction, and even the city of Los Angeles voted in larger numbers for Hochman.

Then came January 2025, and the untouchable Palisades went up in flames. Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass was attending the inauguration of the next president of Ghana, and she could not be reached.  The Palisades Inferno was a massive failure on many levels—and preventable if anyone had heeded the warnings. Seven years ago, entire sections of Northern California went up in flames. Families desperate to flee the raging infernos ended up stuck in traffic and consumed by the rushing flames. The California Democratic political class didn't care then.

Surely, the Democrats in Sacramento and Los Angeles would care about the left-leaning Pacific Palisades, wouldn't they?

Nope.

This year’s primary results clearly indicate that Los Angeles city voters have not listened to their better angels. The demons have come in seven times stronger, too, since they find the place burned up and empty, and since no one's there, they've brought more of their vile hordes. How was it possible that voters across the city would embrace more of the same destructive progressive ideology when it's crystal clear to anyone that these failed policies—plus the arrogant lack of concern--are a direct result of this progressive madness?  Even in San Francisco, a growing cohort of voters has started taking over the county Democratic Party, and they have fought for some restoration of common sense, law & order, and commitment to enforcement in public safety. It's not enough, but there have been some steps, however minute.

In sad contrast, Los Angeles continues to double down on the same stupid. This isn't just foolish; it's absolutely dangerous. Unwise people with no regard for the well-being of the everyday citizen have no problem putting more of them in danger. Trump Derangement Syndrome and allergies to anything Republican truly are a mental malady, which has trapped Angelenos in a perpetual doom loop.

A few weeks ago, TMZ host Harvey Levin complained about what has happened to Los Angeles during his lifetime. A multi-generational Angelino, Levin has seen the best of the city. Now, he cannot ignore how crappy it has become. The relentless homeless shelters, the skyrocketing crime rates, the overall lack of cleanliness and peace, and the desecration that has overrun a once-getaway destination and a second home for the rich and famous are unavoidable.

Yet the same Harvey Levin repeatedly castigated, shamed, and openly mocked the one candidate who had a campaign platform, character, and commitment to remedy all these problems. Spencer Pratt may have been a reality TV star. But he was also a father and a homeowner who lost everything in the fires. He was fed up, and he decided that he was going to run. He launched AI commercials slamming opponents Bass and Raman with an impressive media blitz. He did a fantastic job in the debates. He cut an incredible cloth as a truly independent candidate. Not beholden to any political party, he didn't care about Trump or Biden or Kamala Harris. He did care about the incompetence of incumbent mayor Karen Bass and her socialist left-leaning challenger Nithya Rahman.

He's a common-sense guy, and anyone with sense would have elected him mayor. But common sense is no longer common—or welcome—in the City of Angels. They stopped electing Republican mayors in 2001, and then they stopped electing Democrats with any regard for the well-being of the city after 2013.

It's a tragedy to see the once-heavenly Los Angeles turn into a hellscape. It's a tragedy that so many voters don't love LA, that their hatred of Trump, their disdain for Republicans, and their insistence on all of the shallow, shameful progressive issues are far more important than the necessities to make sure that their city can function.

I never thought it would come to this, but Angelenos simply haven't hurt enough. How many more homes have to go up in flames? How many more families have to be torn apart by the death of a mother or a father because of crime or natural disaster? How many more businesses have to be destroyed, desecrated, forced to shut down because City Hall refuses to use its power to do what is best for the rest?

These problems festered two years earlier. Before anti-American immigrant socialist City Councilwoman Nithya Raman Challenger made it into the runoff against Karen Bass, she had won re-election to City Council outright in 2024! For weeks during the March 2024 primary, business owners and homeowners repeatedly complained about the homeless and the crime in the streets. And yet for all their complaining then, and a recent protest test of makeshift homeless encampments outside of Rahman's home this year, voters still sent the elitist socialist to city hall.

Los Angeles, be afraid.

The Democratic Socialists of America have aggressively targeted you. Four of the city council members are DSA all the way. They are vying for a city council majority and the mayor's seat. Registered Republicans can’t help you now: they have given up on voting or moved out of the city altogether.

What will it take? I am astounded at the destruction and degradation. New York City was one thing. President Trump had pretty much solved the migrant crisis and allowed some degree of enforcement, so New Yorkers got complacent, perhaps? But Los Angeles witnessed the unprecedented disaster that destroyed homes. We all saw the unconscionable incompetence of Los Angeles's political class.

Yet even with that, LA voters voted for more of the same.

I love LA, but clearly LA no longer loves LA.

LA Does Not Love LA

Antifa Soyboy Hack Groomer Sean Beckner-Carmitchel Thinks Protecting Kids and Families is "Hate"

I love my haters!

Another fake journalist, more like a wretched groomer who wants to normalize perversion and pervasive destruction in Los Angeles County, and the world generally, is Sean Beckner-Carmitchel:

Sean Beckner-Carmitchel

One gets the "stranger-danger" creeps just looking at him (assuming that this is a male.)

He might be a furry by night, for all we know. Here's one of his avatars on Facebook:

Well, apparently, he's obsessed with me, too.

Check out this tweet from a few weeks ago at the Downtown Los Angeles "Leave Our Kids Alone" rally:

To his credit, Sean Catboy got my good side!

To his condemnation, he thinks that protecting kids is "hate."

He thinks that protecting the public from sexual perversion and degeneracy is "hate."

Worst of all, he gets his "hate group" nonsense from The Hate Group from Alabama, i.e. The Southern Poverty Law Center.

Just a reminder, for all of you who have visited this blog, about the Southern Poverty Law Center:

1. They have a long history of defaming Jews, Muslims, Christians,  and immigrants.
2. They tried to take away educational opportunities from African-American students.
3. They have been sued multiple times for libel, and they were forced to pay big money to one reformist Muslim.
4. They have attacked parents who want to keep their children safe from pornography and perversion.

So ...

Mr. (or is it Meow-Meow?) Carmitchel is OK with all of this.

He's a hater, a bigot, and a groomer, too. Anyone who thinks it's OK for teachers to keep secrets from parents is a groomer. Anyone who thinks it's OK to mutilate kids to try to make them the opposite sex is a groomer. Anyone who thinks it's OK to teach homosexuality and transgenderism to students is a groomer.

And Mr. Cat-mitchell was protesting and shaming parents from all over Los Angeles County because they want to protect their kids from all of the above.

What can I say ... I love my haters! If Sean Catboy didn't hate me, I would be wondering what I was doing wrong!

Recall George Gascon Update: Court Hearing December 6th, 2022

Arthur,On Tuesday, December 6, we will be in Los Angeles Superior Court for a preliminary injunction hearing against the Los Angeles County Registrar.Judge James Chalfant will determine if the Registrar is unreasonably restricting our lawful review of the 195,783 rejected signatures to recall District Attorney George Gascon. If the court rules in our favor, we will be able to more speedily determine just how many of the rejected signatures were wrongly disqualified.Even with the constraints the Registrar has placed on our review — including no more than three days per week to examine the rejected signatures — in the first month alone we found that at least 39% of the signatures we reviewed were wrongly rejected.
While we continue to fight for our beloved Los Angeles, every day that Gascon remains in office, criminals are empowered, and Angelenos are endangered.Last week, a homeless man grabbed a 9-inch butcher knife off the shelf, and attacked Target customers. He approached a 9-year-old boy and told him he was going to “stab and kill him.” When the boy tried to run away from him, he stabbed the child in the back. The man then stabbed a 25-year-old woman in the chest, before a security guard fatally shot him.Why must these types of horrific stories become a regular item in the news? We’ll never accept it, and neither should any Angeleno. That’s why we will keep fighting until every valid signature is counted.
