RIP Anne Heche, and Why Her Story Matters

RIP Anne Heche

Hollywood actress Anne Heche has died.

On August 5th, 2022, she was driving 90 mph in a Mar Vista residential section. She crashed into a home, and both her car and the home went up in flames.

She was presumably high on cocaine, dealing with other controlled substances. She did survive the crash, and she was conscious when the fire department rescued her from her car then stabilized her at the nearest hospital.

She then lapsed into a coma, only surviving by remaining on life support. The family wanted to make sure that her organs could be donated to save other lives. Then they pulled the plug.

Why does her life matter to me specifically?

I first learned about her from her open lesbian relationship with Ellen Degeneres in the late 1990s.

Degeneres had lost her eponymous TV show after coming out, but she was still out and about with the Hollywood glitterate. At that time, the corporate media was determined to jam the normalization of homosexuality (and later transgenderism) on the public.

But then Anne Heche had a mental breakdown, then soughy psychiatric help. The police had even saved her from an overdose following her split from Ellen.

What happened after her falling out with Ellen was her falling in love with a man, getting married, and having children afterwards!

Anne Heche proved right away that people do change. She was a vivid, evident example to me and anyone else paying attention at the time that people are not "born gay," that they do change.

Later on, stories about her horrific childhood came out. Marca reports:

Anne Heche's dark family history is arguably the main reason she struggled with mental health issues and will eventually pass away after last Friday's car crash. In the podcast clip we shared with you, you can tell she was a person who constantly struggled to have a good day and all of that originates from her parents. Heche's memoir, 'Call Me Crazy' talks about the actress suffering sexual abuse from her father when she was a child.

But that is only the tip of the giant iceberg of family drama that the actress had to go through. From an early age, she was raped by her father before he became one of the first people in America to be diagnosed with AIDS. Donald Heche was secretly living a wild life as a homosexual and eventually way from pathe virus in 1983. Heche was 14 at the time.

Heche would talk about the incredible, indescribable abuse she endured in her youth, which traumatized her for the rest of her life. We find her further proof of the emotional, mental, and sexual harm which induces individuals to seek solace and intimacy in same-sex relationships. I have long asserted, and Heche's life provides more proof, that homosexuality is a result of trauma, neglect, abuse, confusion, or molestation. There was so much of all of this in Anne Heche's life.

And yet for all of that, she did get married and have children, too.

Why does Anne Heche matter to me? Her life proved that people are not "born that way," and that homosexual leanings are the result of these tragic circumstances and the wrong believing which they engender in individuals. Her story needs to be told, and it is so sad that her life ended so tragically.

And The Oscar No Longer Goes To ...

On Sunday night, millions of viewers around the world will finally find out who the big winners are in this year’s Academy Awards. But, after an unusually tumultuous and controversy-filled Oscar season, some would argue that one of the big losers has already been revealed before a single envelope has been opened.

Million? The ratings were slightly higher compared to last year, but that's a pretty low standard to achieve. The fact is that fewer people every year are watching the Academy Awards. The movies are crap, filled with social justice yawns or they push some sloppy left-wing tripe shaming the rest of the country which wants to have nothing to do with the liberal progressive hate coming out of Hollywood.

Unfortunately, it’s the motion picture academy itself.

The venerable institution, which prides itself on representing Hollywood’s best and brightest, is heading into its most important and most glamorous night looking somewhat rudderless and half-dressed. For the first time in 30 years, the Oscars will have no formal host after Kevin Hart dropped out in December amid a firestorm over past homophobic tweets and jokes, leaving empty a gig that was once coveted but is now widely considered thankless.

The social justice warriors are eating themselves out. Such is what happens with all revolutions. Like the God Janus (or Chronos, or whatever), the revolution begins to eat its own children.

Who will stand up to this craven abuse?

As embarrassing as the Hart debacle was for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, though, it was just one of a number of black eyes the organization sustained in the run-up to this year’s Oscars, nearly all of them self-inflicted.

Yes, indeed. The Hollywood Hatemongers find themselves without justification, without hope, without any recourse since Middle America and Middle Class California (what's left of it), no longer has to put up with being snubbed and shamed for their values.

As the academy has stumbled through a string of public-relations crises — from a scrapped proposal to create a “best popular film” award that was widely criticized as pandering to a much-maligned and ultimately abandoned plan to move the presentation of several awards to commercial breaks — questions have been raised about how the organization is being run under President John Bailey and Chief Executive Dawn Hudson, as well as its 54-member board of governors.

The problem is more than the CEO, more than the Board of Directors. The whole industry is collasping. The social, societal, and even sexual anarchy has caught up with the entire industry. People are tired of the arrogant, left-wing elites acting like they are better than everyone else, when in fact they are the biggest pigs, thugs, and snobs out there.

Harvey Weinstein was just the tip of the iceberg.

“Not quite sure why the Academy Awards seems to hate the Academy Awards this year,” actor Josh Gad pointedly wrote on Twitter last week, joining hundreds of industry professionals protesting what they saw as a misguided plan to snub some of filmmaking’s most important crafts simply to shave a few minutes off the often-bloated telecast.

"The often-bloated", the reporter writes. The whole thing has become even more bloated than ever.

Who wants to watch a bunch of self-serving celluloid sycophants pat themselves on the back, when even they themselves know that they are not that great to begin with? After all, they stood with perverts like Bill Cosby and Roman Polanski for decades. They even awarded him a best director Oscar in 2002, and Polanski couldn't even enter the country to claim the award since he is still on the run from justice for raping a minor!

To many, the recent missteps and reversals reveal an institution at a crossroads, pulled in one direction by the need to adapt to a rapidly changing entertainment landscape and in the opposite direction by nearly a century of proudly held traditions.

The traditions have been abandoned, and perversion has become center stage in Hollywood--and yes, the pun is quite intended.

And as the academy looks ahead to further challenges, including the opening of a long-delayed, highly anticipated $388-million museum scheduled for late this year, the group’s leadership — which will undergo a transition later this year with elections to replace Bailey as well as some board members — is likely to continue to draw scrutiny.

It should. Why should anyone go to a Museum where people see the dying embers of a once proud institution? The sexual exploitation, the moral degradation, who wants to learn more about all of that?

With the ratings for the Oscars steadily sliding in recent years, maintaining the show’s relevance is a top priority for the academy, which derives the bulk of its revenue from the show. (According to the group’s most recent annual report, despite last year’s lowest-ever ratings, returns from the Oscars were nearly $131.8 million, up more than 7% from 2017.)

The Academy exists to raise money to demonstrate that the Academy has a right to exist. Someone please explain to me why this makes sense. This is another example of self-perpetuating agit-prop. The Academy was supposed to showcase the best talent, the best pictures, the best actors, etc. so that more people could learn from the styles and substance and promote the same. Now, it's all about pleasing a bunch of directors and voters whom no one cares about to showcase to an audience that no longer exists.

But as this year’s turbulent awards season has proven — with controversies that at times pitted the academy’s leadership against some of its most esteemed members — getting everyone on the same page about how to do that is no easy feat.

What page?

“People in the academy have different views,” said producer and former studio executive Bill Mechanic, who served on the academy’s board before resigning in protest last year over what he saw as poor management of the organization. “You have the purists who don’t want any change. But you’ve got to come to some kind of solutions. … Or you just keep losing audience.”

They won't talk about the Jackass in the Middle of the Room, which is the quality of the films has declined considerably. The political posturing, the anti-Trumpism has turned off lots of people, even liberals who normally enjoy going to the movies and have no problem disparaging the President.

Indeed, both within the academy’s leadership and its membership, which has grown by 30% in three years — in large part to diversify the disproportionately white, male ranks — there is a degree of division over what the Academy Awards, now in their 91st year, mean in today’s world.

That issue of diversity is a perfect signal for what has befallen the Academy Awards. They want to virtue-signal, they want to appear politically correct. They are not interested in talent, just diversity. They are pandering to 

Some regard the Oscars as a glitzy, star-studded entertainment show that needs to change with the times to attract an increasingly distracted and fragmented audience. Others see it as a hallowed celebration of the finest in filmmaking whose traditions should be upheld at all costs, even if it means a potentially wearying running time and lower ratings.

The same elitism shines through in this paragraphy. Instead of looking at their content and their character, the news and entertainment industry blames the stupid, insipid "audience." "If they weren't so distracted, if they weren't so busy living their lives with moral vigor and purpose, if they spent more time giving into our lies, our demands, we would be so much better off, and the Acadamy Awards would be a rousing ratings success again."

This kind of narrow-minded arrogance is precisely why they are crashing and burning. I wonder how long it will before major broadcasting stations stopping programming the Academy Awards. That will be a great day to celebrate, the downfall of Hollywood and all the damage they have done in our modern culture.

“I think the show has made many mistakes,” producer and director Judd Apatow told The Times last week, pointing, among other things, to an apparent early plan, also reversed, to cut performances of some of the best-song nominees from the telecast. “I understand the demands of time, but I think people would rather have a great show than a rushed show with less awards and less entertainment.”

A great show, certainly, but why would they ask Professional Creep Judd Apatow for his point of view on the matter?

Even as the academy has sought ways to remake the Oscars, the institution has been remaking itself from the inside out over the past several years. In response to the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, the organization has taken bold steps to diversify and expand its historically white male-dominated membership, steps for which it has been widely applauded. Last summer, the academy invited a record-setting 928 new members, 49% of them female and 38% of them people of color.

The racist virtue-signalling turned off lots of people. This is reverse discrimination, and it is wrong!

But at the same time, fissures have sometimes opened up in the group’s leadership structure — which many consider unwieldy, with ill-defined divisions of responsibilities — over key issues such as the museum, which has gone over budget and over schedule, and how best to respond to the #MeToo movement.

They have to respond to the same natural forces of supply and demand, just like everyone else. It's wrong for the Academy to ignore the demands of reality and then expect then expect everyone else to go along with their delusion.

Heightening the uncertainty, changes are set to come to that leadership soon. Annual elections for the board of governors will be held this summer. Bailey’s run as president will conclude in August due to term limits, while Hudson’s contract runs through 2020.

OUCH! Looks like more trouble ahead. Who wants to be captain of the Titanic at this point?

Bailey and Hudson declined to comment for this story. But, speaking to the Times in September, Bailey acknowledged that, when it comes to how to revitalize the Oscars, there are varying opinions among the academy’s board, which includes such luminaries as Steven Spielberg, Laura Dern, Whoopi Goldberg, and Paramount Pictures chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos.

“You’ve got 54 alpha-type people that are highly creative, highly motivated — I mean, it would be absurd to say it was unanimous,” Bailey said of the “best popular film” proposal. “We are just trying to address what we see as an existential problem that has been there for a number of years and is not going to go away in terms of where films seem to be headed.”

Maybe because it's becoming more difficult to find popular films? Perhaps the real problem is that popular films do not fit the progressive narrative forced by the Hollywood Academy. They know better, and they believe in fairness at all costs, even though they are the most unfair, elitist, illegal, lawless bunch out there.

Still, Bailey brushed aside the criticism that the academy lacked a coherent vision for how to deal with that existential problem, making decisions in a knee-jerk fashion.

“Look, for an organization that some people like to say is irrelevant and is out of touch with the times, there always seems to be a tremendous amount of interest in what is going on inside the academy,” he said. “My own feeling is, no matter what the academy does or says or determines as a course of action, there are going to be naysayers. It’s just the nature of it.”

Bailey gets it right this one time. The Academy is very much out of touch. So out of touch, that the movies are bombing at the box office, that the private perversions of these public entertainers have sickened so many, that their preachings of tolerance and respect have fallen on deaf ears since they do not live up to their own standards!

Hudson, who has served as CEO since 2011, has at times been a polarizing leader. While many within the organization credit her with helping spearhead the academy’s push toward diversity and the building of an ambitious museum, others feel that under her leadership the academy has moved too quickly in too many new directions, drifting from some of its core missions and alienating some members.

"Alienating some members" is not the biggest problem. The fact that she has alienated the wider audience of movie-goers, that's the problem.

Final Reflection

The Arts and Entertainment world has been corrupted by secular, leftist, atheistic elements for the last three decades. Should anyone be surprised that the Hollywood Academy Awards turned into an absolute dud that no one wants to watch anymore?

The ceremony couldn't even get a host, since anti-social injustice warriors went to great lengths to shame and diminish anyone--and ultimately everyone--who does not measure to their ever-changing, increasingly onerous demands.

The demands for cultural destruction and economic stagnation will never end with the Left. They have now pretty much destroyed the Hollywood/Movie industry, and they institution which used to recognize the best films, The Academy Awards, has taken a full-on dive.

Hollywood Reporter excuses Dan Harmon Child Rape video

The 'Rick and Morty' co-creator deleted his Twitter account earlier on Monday as the controversy over an old comedy sketch grew.

The way that the Hollywood Reporter played down this story is beyond disgusting.

The sketch with Dan Harmon raping a baby is not some mere controversy.

It's an abusive video. It's child rape, and the fact that there is a growing expose of child predation and abuse swallowing up careers is proof that Harmon's sick display should not be taken as some kind of sick joke.

Keep in mind that Harmon deleted his Twitter account.

Dan Harmon, the creative mind behind Rick and Morty and Community, deleted his Twitter account Monday morning after a video he made years before resurfaced online.

The video in question was a spoof of the Showtime series Dexter and featured Harmon's character traveling back in time to stop serial killers by sexually assaulting them when they were infants. In the sketch, Harmon is seen breaking into a house and simulating rape on an infant doll.

"A spoof ..." really?

“In 2009, I made a 'pilot' which strove to parody the series Dexter and only succeeded in offending," Harmon said in a statement acquired by The Hollywood Reporter. "I quickly realized the content was way too distasteful and took the video down immediately. Nobody should ever have to see what you saw and for that, I sincerely apologize.”

"Quickly realized ..." nine years later? No. Harmon thought that kind of portrayal was acceptable because the vast majority of Hollywood elites or self-serving amoralists who don't have a problem with child abuse of molestation of minors.

This is horrifying! It took Harmon nine years to suddenly realize that child rape, and abuse of a baby in particular, is offensive.

Harmon, who currently runs the wildly successful Rick and Morty on Adult Swim, deleted his Twitter account and all its tweets following the video's resurfacing. The move comes on the heels of filmmaker James Gunn being fired at Disney after controversial tweets of his from a decade ago resurfaced.

"Controversial" tweets is all that the Hollywood Reporter will write. Unbelievable. "Controversial" would be a Hollywood writer stepping out of character and calling out the Democratic Party's history of racism and sexism. Controversy would include an actor picketing and shouting condemnation against Washington DC.

What Harmon and Gunn did was advocate for creepy, criminal behavior, far more than utter "controversial" things.

In a statement obtained by THR, the network said, "At Adult Swim, we seek out and encourage creative freedom and look to push the envelope in many ways, particularly around comedy. The offensive content of Dan’s 2009 video that recently surfaced demonstrates poor judgement and does not reflect the type of content we seek out. Dan recognized his mistake at the time and has apologized. He understands there is no place for this type of content here at Adult Swim.”

No changes have been made to Harmon's employment at the network.

Transgender Insanity Redoubled: Scarlett Johansson Forced Out of Trans Role

This is how insane the Left has become.

They are devouring each other. They are demeaning some of their most ardent advocates because they are too white, too straight, or too "mainstream." When institutions wanted to accommodate these radical Marxist movements, little did they realize that there would be no assuaging or pleasing this perennial, preening, demanding, and dangerous crybabies.

Scarlett Johansson induced a massive backlash when she announced taking on a role as a transgendered person.

Scarlett Johansson announced on Friday she is dropping out of the starring role in Rub & Tug, a film about a transgender man who ran an extensive prostitution ring during the 1970s and '80s.

After an onslaught of criticism over the past week, actress Scarlett Johansson announced on Friday she will be pulling out of the starring role in Rub & Tug, a film based on the true story of a transgender man who ran a ring of prostitution fronts.

It's called "acting." Someone does not have to be suffering from a mental disorder in order to portray someone suffering from a mental disorder.

"In light of recent ethical questions raised surrounding my casting as Dante Tex Gill, I have decided to respectfully withdraw my participation in the project," Johansson said in a statement to Out.com.

What? Ethical issues? The real ethical issues revolve around the basic lie that transgenderism should be treated like a civil right rather than a destructive lie.

"Our cultural understanding of transgender people continues to advance, and I've learned a lot from the community since making my first statement about my casting and realize it was insensitive," the actress added.

Oh brother? Insensitivity abounds with the perennial victims who have gotten away with blaming everyone else for their feelings.

Transgenderism should not be accommodated in any way, shape, or form. But this cowardice is par for the course with Hollywood. Movie executives did nothing when Harvey Weinstein and company were raping women, but they will do everything in their power to make sure that gender dysphorics don't feel offended.

Oh My!

She lamented turning down the starring role but acknowledged it has served as a catalyst for a broader conversation about transgender actors in Hollywood. "While I would have loved the opportunity to bring Dante's story and transition to life, I understand why many feel he should be portrayed by a transgender person, and I am thankful that this casting debate, albeit controversial, has sparked a larger conversation about diversity and representation in film," she said.

How crazy did the hyperbole become?

Actress Trace Lysette aired her frustrations in a string of tweets, writing, "Not only do you play us and steal our narrative and our opportunity but you pat yourselves on the back with trophies and accolades for mimicking what we have lived."

That's what acting is!

Following the initial hostile reception, Johansson had defended the casting by noting several famous cisgender people had won top prizes for past performances.

This latest downfall for a Hollywood actress to play a role is good news for the pro-family movement, however.

How much longer will the general viewing public continue to view transgenderism with any kind of sympathy and respect? The movement is based on lies, and its most fervent adherents are narrow-minded whiners who want everything their way and refuse to compromise on ... anything.

I read your article about Kevin Spacey and Hollywood recently and couldn't agree with you more regarding the film "American Beauty." My wife and I were living in China when it came out and we heard about the film right around the time it won the Academy Award for best picture so we saw it a little later than most.

Your observations about the film, especially about the homosexual couple being the only redeeming characters in it were the same as mine. My wife summed it up best when she said to me after we watched it, "There was nothing edifying in that film at all." Thus, it got 4 Academy Awards.

American Ugly: Kevin Spacey and the Downfall of Hollywood

Tinseltown is no longer glittering. The movie industry was already foundering because of technological advances in media and entertainment. The latest string of flops pouring out of the studios has signaled that Hollywood's malaise is bad, really bad this time. But it’s good for us. The liberal, progressive agenda thrived on big money from media moguls and movie stars. Moviegoers were funding this institution, which invested in candidates and causes against our freedom, our traditional values, our constitution, and our Judeo-Christian culture.

There is no better representative of Hollywood’s epic down fall than Kevin Spacey. This actor would sing, dance, and take on stage and screen in all kinds of acting exploits. He had earned two Academy awards--Best Supporting Actor in The Usual Suspects; Best Actor in American Beauty--then became Artistic Director for the Old Vic Theater. He had quite a repertoire.

Then came the allegations of child molestation from Anthony Rapp, which followed the numerous women lining up to single out producer Harvey Weinstein for his repeated and long-term predatory behavior.

Spacey issued a press release immediately, apologizing for these acts which he claims that he had never done, but if he had done them, he was probably drunk at the time--oh, and he had been bisexual and now decided to come out as a gay man. Yes, Kevin tried to cover up for past pedophilia perversion by coming out of the closet.

The moral swamp of sexual degeneracy is getting worse for Spacey. More actors are coming forward announcing that he had made numerous unwanted advances toward them. Young men who were minors are now recounting more devastating sexual assaults. 

The consequences have been swift and telling. Spacey has lost his Netflix miniseries "House of Cards", which has folded up instead of going into its sixth season. The Emmy Awards was going to have a tribute for him, but that has been cancelled. There was even talk about another extravaganza on his behalf at the Academy Awards.

All of that has fallen away.

Speaking of Academy Awards ... should anyone be surprised that his private life has overwhelmed his public persona with such duplicity? In The Usual Suspects, he played a down-and-out cerebral palsy stooge narrating a crime. The detective mocked him, talked down to him, but suspected him of nothing more than being a big nothing.

Turns out at the end that Spacey’s character was the mastermind for the whole crime, and every aspect of the crime scene he narrated, he had drawn from objects and items in the detective's office. It was a brilliant tour de force for Spacey: a con man who conned law enforcement.

Consider how long Spacey the actor got away with his perverse behavior and masterminded his way toward getting away with it?

Then there's American Beauty.

The main character, Lester Burnham played by Spacey, is a bored, empty, repressed suburban father. Right away, all the brazen, Freudian Marxist stereotypes come to the forefront. Married life is bad, sexual license is good. People should be able to sleep with whomever they want to, and there is nothing wrong with that.

An explicit example of this occurs when Father Burnham sexually pursues his daughter Jane's best friend Angela. In an early scene, the father falls into lust with this young girl during a cheerleader performance. As early as 1999, the movie industry was glamorizing an adult sleeping with a minor!

That film should have been called "American Ugly". It revealed Hollywood’s broken moral compass spinning out of control, justifying everything contrary to sound moral order. A homosexual couple living down the street from the Burnham family was presented as the only real stable, loving "couple". The army veteran next door (with mentally ill wife and drug-dealing son) was a closet homosexual. The film showcased adultery, mockery of natural marriage and family, and then glorified the natural yet destructive impulses in human beings.

Is this truly high class or artistic? Did this film remotely reflect reality in any true fashion? Nope, but in Sadistic fashion, this fiction outlined a moral treatise, one of decadence and disdain as acceptable as long as people feel “free” or feel good.

What is troubling now is that ONLY NOW do movie goers and Spacey fans look at this scene and comment "This makes my skin crawl." Why didn't this adult-minor lust make Hollywood elites sick to their stomachs 20 years ago?! Nevertheless, Hollywood’s left-wing elites thought this film was a "beauty", and they awarded Spacey the Best Actor Oscar. The film also won Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

Today, lo and behold, we now see in this film what has burst forth in Spacey's real life for everyone to see. He had perversions within him, which had been spilling out for quite some time. The first accusations against him had occurred 13 years prior to winning his second Oscar. Should we be surprised as this long history? Not if we recognize the fact that Spacey’s enabling peers was celebrating sexual abuse and perversion on that stage. His acceptance speech highlighted significant premonitions of what we have learned. His first line? “This is the highlight of my day. I hope it is not all downhill from here.”

Indeed.

It would go downhill from there. His work titled toward less popular fare. He took over artistic direction in a London theater, where he would prey on young men and boys. He would then claim in his speech that viewers would see the good in Lester, even though he did so much.  He thanks his mother for being his date--even then, people suspected that he was gay. Notice also that Spacey never mentioned his father, who was an abusive Nazi, literally.

Spacey's fall from Glitteratti pre-eminence should not shock us, ultimately. How could anyone look at trash like "American Beauty" and call it award-winning? Hollywood, and the same coven of creeps and greedy moguls enabled and covered up for Spacey's behavior for decades to follow.

Kathy Griffin is trying to resurrect her career.

She thinks she can keep her comedy routine going as she slaughters and attacks President Trump.

This will not last long. The American public have had it with Hollywood hate and hypocrisy. It's not working anymore.

First, she poses with the severed head of Donald Trump while wearing a blue dress. Someone please tell me why this is funny?

It's not. It's stupid and offensive. Barron Trump had nightmares after seeing that offensive photo.

Griffin's career took a dive at that point--and it was spectacular.

Now, she's at it again, and this time she's naming names.

Specifically, she went after Harvey Levin of TMZ, who had released the severed head photo and brought her down.

I figured her career would take a bad hit for a couple of years and then it would blow over. But if there were even one last gasp of air remaining in Griffin’s career, this video extinguishes it. Her ‘revelations’ about Andy Cohen, Harvey Levin, and her ex-engagement team, are not all THAT shocking, or offensive. “OMG Andy Cohen does blow!” Big deal. No one cares. The guy never appears on air without a drink in his hand.

American Ugly: The Spacey Shame Should Not Surprise Us

It's about time that we stopped giving them our money, that we stopped enabling them to bewitch us with their fiction to push their Utopian fantasies on us.

Married life is bad, sexual license is good. People should be able to sleep with whomever they want to, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Because of his renewed sense of "love" for this young girl, Lester starts exercising, working out, he quits his old job and gets a new job as a cashier at a fast food place. His wife then dives into another set of dalliances with another realtor, they have an affair .. blah, blah, blah.

Now, at the end of the movie, the young girl Angela ends up lying down for him, but admitting that she has never had sex before. Lester backs away from having sex with her, as though his decision not to sleep with her just simply justifies everything before.

But still, folks, what we saw in "American Beauty" was ultimately American Ugly,  the moral compass of Hollywood clearly spinning out of control, justifying everything contrary to sound moral order for any stable, strong society. A homosexual couple living down the street from the Burnham family were presented in the film as the only real stable, loving "couple". The army veteran with his dispossessed wife and drug-dealing son was a closet homosexual. The father, the breadwinner in the other family was lusting after minors. The film showcased adultery, mockery of natural marriage and family, and then glorifying the natural yet destructive impulses in human beings.

Is this really high class? This is Artistic? Is any element in the film remotely true or in concert with reality? Nope, and in Sadist fashion, this fiction did indeed outline a moral treatise, one of decadence and disdain for what is good in marriage, life, and family.

"American Beauty" would have entered a privilege class of Academy Award Winners if Annette Benning had won for Best Actress, the film would have been the fourth Big Five movie.

That did not happen, but behold, we saw in this film what would later burst forth in Spacey's real life for everyone to see. Why is anyone surprised, though? The long history of sexual abuse and assault was CELEBRATED on the Academy Award stage in 2000!

No, we do not grow to like this character. He turns into a selfish man-child who seeks to please himself, ruining his family and undermining himself. No.

This movie to me is all about how any single act from any single person put out of context is damnable. But the joy of this movie is that it is real beauty. We found real beauty in this extraordinary script by Sam Mendes -- by Alan Ball. It feels like he wrote it though, doesn't it?

The only ordinary object which inspired any beauty was a plastic bag swirling around in a dust devil. That was it. The amoral abyss of the characters, the caricature of loving family and legacy was sad.

 And Mother, I don't care what they say about bringing you to award shows. I will always bring you to award shows because I'm proud of you and I love you. And thank you, thank you, thank you.

Hollywood Burns to the Ground: What Took So Long?

Since Hollywood is burning to the ground, why not start with a metaphor from a movie: Carrie. The title character is a shy girl, repeatedly picked on, but finally gets honored as prom queen. She ends up the butt of another cruel prank, when her creepy haters pouring pigs’ blood all over her. Little do they realize, however, that Carrie has telekinetic powers. In a massive rage she burns down the entire gym.

In a sense, the American public is like Carrie. We’ve been put down and shamed so much by the “Cool Kids” of Hollywood, but now we are setting Hollywood on fire.  Frankly, Hollywood has been getting away with way too much, like the catty mean girls who harassed Carrie, and we didn’t realize the power we had to stop them until recently. They have abused and bullied us long enough, certainly in disregarding then mocking family values and our Judeo-Christian culture, then ultimately panning on any kind of ethical standards.

The sexual immorality of this elitist cabal has been rolling out for decades, although it wasn’t always that way. Movie contracts insisted on morality clauses with their actors. They had to avoid scandal and shame in public and private, since perverse behavior would sink a movie’s box office receipts back in the 1940s and 50s. Then came the 1960s, and the sexual revolution. Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, the golden couple of Hollywood, lived openly in adultery, for example, and popular sentiment let them get away with it.

That should have never happened. Movies in that era and onward celebrated criminals and crime families, too (Bonnie and Clyde, The Godfather), and the ongoing decline in family values continued apace. How many lovers did Marlon Brando have? What about Jack Nicholson? He lived with Angela Huston for decades, but they never married. Then there’s Woody Allen, who has been dogged with allegations of rape and incest for decades, too. Lots of celebrities had disparaged it.

How about Roman Polanksi? Think about it, folks. This guy raped a 14-year old, and is still getting away with it! He flees to Europe, stays out of the hands of American authorities. The liberal media and the Hollywood/International Film Industry celebrate him with abandon and without remorse. Fast-forward to liberal loony Whoopi Goldberg on “The View”, and she excuses his evil crime: “It wasn’t rape-rape.” Someone please tell me how these incendiary remarks (as well as actions) have gone public and continued in the press without further incident? Why wasn’t Whoopi called to task for this?

The year 2002 was a distinct year fort liberal media/entertainment hypocrisy. The Pianist featured Adrian Brody winning an Academy Award, and Polanski won Best Director. However, he couldn’t accept it in Los Angeles, since he would end up behind bars—where he belongs. I don’t believe that people should be prevented from receiving recognition just because they have done something wrong. But for someone to continue receiving rewards without first paying the price for their wrongdoing—that is wrong!

The same year, Michael Moore won an Academy Award for Bowling for Columbine. Numerous sources within weeks of the film’s release exposed that he had edited, distorted and outright lied throughout the movie—hardly a documentary. Two years later, the late Andrew Breitbart blasted Moore to Michael Wilson for his own documentary Michael Moore Hates America. By then, we began to witness a latent movement among conservatives and anti-establishment media to debunk the narrative of Hollywood’s pristine moral superiority. It still needs to sink in, though: The Academy of Arts and Sciences gave an Academy Award to this fraud, and no one did anything about it!

Hollywood elites reject family values, they skirt our criminal laws, and they lied to us and get awards for it! How much longer were they going to get away with this?

The dam has burst with the Weinstein exposures, sure. The serial abuser and sexual assaulter is going down. More actresses came forward. Actors spoke out, too. Kevin Spacey’s career us gone because he tried to go down on a minor when he was 26 years old. Incredible.

But still, what has taken so long, or rather why is it that Hollywood is now—only now—finally burning down to the ground?

1.       The large swath of arrogant liberals in Hollywood stood against Trump and with Crooked Hillary throughout Election 2016. For decades, they had presented themselves as counter-cultural, or ahead of the times. In 2005, while accepting an Academy Award for his role in another anti-Bush pick, George Clooney took pride in that Hollywood types like him did not fit in with the cultural times. The truth is that fewer people were watching Hollywood’s movies because we bitter clingers got tired of our views and values being shamed. Trump’s election and victory further marginalized Hollywood, showing the world how out-of-touch they are, and how out of patience we have become with their liberal, elitist condescension.

2.       The complicit media has been exposed for lying to us about the facts as well as shaming us about our values. The Trump campaign and now Presidency forced them to show their true colors, and this same media had been covering for corrupt, creepy Hollywood types, including Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, and their ilk for years.

3.      The ascendancy of social media and the ease for independent films and journalists to publish their own content have undermined Hollywood’s dominance. They have pushed aside the monopoly of Big Hollywood and Big Media. Before the latest outrage over Spacey’s perversions, I had been staying away from the movie theater just because there’s so much great stuff on YouTube. Now it’s even easier to boycott Hollywood since there’s so much better and cheaper ways to be entertained and informed than the liberal cabal/brothel of Sunset Blvd and LA Times Square.

Hollywood is burning down because consumers have more choices. We can also create and consume news and media to our taste. Boycotting Hollywood has never been easier.
