Even while YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter shut down outspoken conservatives, libertarians, and free speech activists, the liberal news sites promoting open borders, destruction of life and family, and the corruption of our constitutional form of government are going down in flames.

"Cracked" is cracking up

LA Weekly is folding up fast.

OC Weekly is losing staffers.

LAist shut down all its journalists and websites.

Buzzfeed had to lay off a large number of staffers.

And now CRACKED is cracking apart!

Cracked has given the pink slip to most of its main contributors and senior editorial staff after a tumultuous run following its embrace of social justice politics.

If you grew up on the Internet, then there’s a pretty good chance you stumbled upon a Cracked listicle or two detailing something like the “insane fan theories about movies that make great movies better,” or “creepy urban legends that turned out to be true.

This magazine used to be a wannabe "MAD Magazine" parody spoof. Then it went SJW, and now it's DOA!

James Lacy Slams Fired OC Weekly Hacks for Attempt to Silence Him

James Lacy is a California conservative commentator who has provided refreshing insight on political developments in Washington DC, across the country, and even in California. He has spoken on local public television about the state of the California Republican Party, but has maintained respectable optimism for conservatism's long-term gains.

Lacy supported President Trump early on, too, and was unfazed by damaging reports in the media as well as the heavily slanted polling in Hillary Clinton's favor. The disparaging mockery of the left-wing media elites never distempered him, despite their best efforts.

Trump won, we are all winning, and the media is losing big time in terms of ratings, revenue, and respectability.

Of course, Lacy's dreams and determination have not stopped the diminished, corrosive liberal media from attacking him with abandon. Their unethical efforts to write nasty hit pieces against political opponents have become so overt, it's amazing that anyone takes them seriously, or treats them even level above parody mags like MAD or National Lampoon.

When Lacy wanted to discuss and learn more about the new leadership for the flailing Alt-Media rag LA Weekly, Gustavo Arellano threatened him with a hit piece by muck-raking has-been R. Scott Moxley.

There is a controversy on social media going on regarding the new ownership of the LA Weekly newspaper.   But Gustavo Arellano, a former writer for the OC Weekly and Voice of Orange County ...

Lacy is too charitable. Arellano refused to lead his failing alt-media rag, since all the pot and porn ads aren't bringing in enough money. The owners of the OC Weekly old La Cucaracha Arellano to cut the overpaid staff by half. Gustavo offered to cut his own salary as part of a different means to save the other hack writers. The ownership said "No!", and Arellano decided to quit.

Wow! Just thinking about it show what a win-win that was! The owners gut the staff, and Arellano threw himself on the funeral bier for added fun. So much winning.

Now, about LA Weekly, last week's headlines announced that a new company had taken over that alt-weekly, and terminated nine of the editors and reduced the office to one staffer.

Lacy commented on social media about this, but Arellano seemds to have a problem with other people exercising their First Amendment rights:

[He] threatened me from participating in the debate on social media by tweeting to me after  I made a comment:

“But with you popping in, don’t get @RScottMoxley interested!”

Should we really be scared of former SoCal award winner Moxley, though?

Lacy continues:

R. Scott Moxley describes himself as a person whose “award-winning investigative journalism has touched nerves for two decades.”  Moxley’s pieces include very negative exposes, often targeting conservatives, like me.  So, what Arellano was conveying to me in his tweet, now deleted, and blocked from his account, is that if I had anything more to say about the LA Weekly newspaper ownership issue, that I could draw a retaliatory negative story from his friend Moxley at the OC Weekly.

Arellano has a habit of attacking people in the social media sphere, then retreating, deleting, and finally blocking those whom he has criticized. Not much courage there, folks, and his influence is diminishing considerably by the day. Where is he writing now? At least we don't have to settle for his anti-Trump, anti-conservative, anti-American rants in print anymore.

Journalism is great when it “touches nerves” and exposes hidden truths.  But journalists are quite shameful individuals when they threaten to use their contacts to suppress public participation in debate.  

The double standard on freedom of speech lies with the left. They want freedom of speech, but only if you are talking about what they want to hear. Anything controversial or in conflict with their brittle worldview, and they lash out.

Yet it is very clear that Gustavo Arellano intended to bully me into silence, and for this he deserves to be outed for the bully he is, and he owes me, and his profession, and even R. Scott Moxley, an apology.

They are bullies, but the good news is that conservatives are finding more--and easier--ways to punch back twice as hard. These hollow leftist are falling back, unable to counter the conservative alternatives which Saul Alinksy warned about.

I do believe, however, that justice will be swift indeed. They had written a hit piece against me in December 2016. Friends and followers of mine actually celebrated, because if I was getting the attention of these left-wing hacks, it means that I was really becoming a mover and shaker in the SoCal scene. Incidentally enough, however, their usual coven of readers (all five of them) mocked Moxley and the editors for printing a hit piece against "little ol'" me. Am I really that important? Better question: is OC Weekly important?

Funny but true, the corrupt, hateful, bigoted, anti-liberty left-wing media are getting taken to the cleaners. Conservatives are fighting back and winning the policy and political debate. President Trump took off the gloves and beat down the media as no other President would--or could. Now we are watching their once invincible army falling apart all around them!

Red Wedding: LA Weekly Goes Bust, Editors Fired, One Staffer Remains

In Mid-October, a new company purchased LA Weekly.

The Los Angeles Times reported:

LA Weekly’s owner, Voice Media Group, has agreed to sell the alternative weekly newspaper as it sheds print assets and focuses on its digital business, a representative for Voice Media confirmed Wednesday.

The focus on digital business should come as no surprise. The print media industry is in complete freefall at this point. Journalism majors are fleeing the business in large numbers since there's no money left. Pulitzer Prize winners don't get a bump in their pay, and one of them in the South Bay, Rob Kuznia of the Daily Breeze, ended up leaving journalism altogether to become a publicist at USC.

And now LA Weekly?

The buyer, Semanal Media, is a new entity created for the purpose of this transaction, said Sara April at Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, a merger and acquisition firm that is representing Voice Media in the sale. April would not say who owns Semanal or where the company is based.

A mystery owner buys up the alternative paper? Wow!

A reminder for anyone who has been paying attention ...

LA Weekly was a very liberal newspaper. They went after Republicans and conservatives with abandon. They loved to print the sob stories about illegal aliens and make everyone pity the foreign nationals who broke in the United States.

Gene Maddaus had his own deleterious reputation according to other reporters, and this rag played  large part in bringing down the LA County Assistant Sheriff Paul Tanaka, for what it's worth.

This obituary of sorts before the final sale and culling of editors tells the story of the liberal media in Los Angeles County:

They deserve to go bust. This is truly a wonderful week of winning for conservatives. I am so glad for President Trump and I am so happy that his very presence is wreaking havoc on the corrupt, liberal, and now lifeless mainstream and alternative media.

LA Weekly: Pandering to Illegal Aliens, Ignoring Citizens

The press is all up in arms about illegals and their plight under the Trump Administration.

Why is there any surprise? Trump ran on a platform of enforcing our immigration laws? And yet everyone is upset about this? What is the Los Angeles, liberal basin mindset that makes them so obsessed with the plight of lawless criminals?

No wonder the press is facing steep declines.

They continue pushing a crappy, useless liberal narrative about the poor illegals, all while no one cares about the American citizens who are struggling to get by in this country.

Why does the liberal media and their elite peers in Hollywood and uber-wealthy sections of Los Angeles and New York City care so much about illegal aliens?

What about our homeless, veterans, foster children, too?

Instead, we are hearing about the illegal alien children ...

What Happens to Children When Their Parents Are Deported?

Since President Trump's Jan. 20 inauguration, previously unseen numbers of undocumented immigrant parents in Los Angeles, fearing the splintering of their families, have taken steps to ensure they have someone to care for their children in the event they are deported ...

Oh, poor babies! Look, parents, if you had not broke this nation's immigration laws, you would have never been in this mess in the first place. There is no one to blame besides yourselves.

The traditional route for appointing a legal guardian is through a court appearance, but that option has proved tricky now that agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement appear to be stalking undocumented immigrants in courthouses to make arrests. 

It's called enforcing our laws. What's the problem, LA Weekly? If you do not like the laws of this nation, then you change them through your elected representatives. The DACA and other executive orders are not the way to deal with these immigration issues.

How big is this illegal alien problem, anyway?

A 2014 report by the Migration Policy Institute estimates that 489,000 children in L.A. County have at least one parent who is undocumented — the highest number of any county in the United States. The same study found that 410,000 of those children are U.S. citizens.

Wow. This is a sticky situation, but this fault does not lie with the law-abiding citizens of this country, and specifically with the state of California. We the People did not create this problem, so do not feel guilt-tripped into doing something about it -- as if it's your fault.

"It used to be that as long as you lived right and went to work you could live without fear. But with the new rules one has to look at things differently." —Areli, an undocumented mother who's filing a caregiver affidavit for her two young daughters

Where do these arrogant people get the idea that they had any right to live and work in the United States in the first place? What part of "illegal" do they not understand?

Most undocumented parents, if detained by ICE and thrust into removal proceedings, would choose to take their children with them, even if the children are U.S. citizens, advocates say.

So who says anything about enforcement breaking up families?! It's simply untrue.

"It's heartbreaking seeing so many parents' concerns about the plight of [their] children if they're arrested or deported while going to work or taking their children to school," Bastida says. "I haven't seen that fear in the community before."

And what about Jamiel Shaw? What about Kate Steinle's parents?

What about them?

The rest of the article focuses on the specific plight of illegal alien parents organizing care for their children when they get deported. Please, liberal, marginalized media, do not bore me the sob stories of illegal aliens who undermined our country's federal immigration laws.

The compassion must return to American citizens of all backgrounds and views. It's time to put Americans First.

So, in the above article, we are subjected to hearing all the sad accounts of illegal aliens ensuring that their children will be safe when they get deported.

Of course, LA Weekly also had to share with us what happens to illegal aliens Mexicans when they are returned to their home country:

Now we have to look at border security as a matter of heaven or hell. Does that make the United States hell? Or Mexico?

José Mares had arrived to work five minutes early one morning in February when four men in street clothes grabbed him in the parking lot. He was mere feet from the shop entrance, a hot coffee and Egg McMuffin in hand. One of the men was wearing a bulletproof vest underneath his shirt. Mares sensed he was being arrested. He didn't know the reason for it, but he didn't resist.

Of course he did not resist. He was in the country illegally. For that reason he should have been deported long ago!

The agents took him 90 miles away to Camarillo, driving in convoy with two other vehicles to a holding center for migrants with outstanding removal orders. Mares noticed large binoculars on the front seat. The agents had had eyes on him for days, they told him. One of them asked why he took an unusual route to work that morning, seeming to insinuate Mares had discovered the agents and was preparing to flee. Mares told them he had run out of coffee that morning and had to stop at McDonald's.

Anyone reading the account will find that the word "illegal" is not mentioned, to give off the impression of unjust police action.

But ICE has every right and necessity to enforce our nation's immigration laws. Mexico, Argentina, China all have immigration laws, too, and they work hard to ensure that they are enforce, do they not?

The agents knew where he lived, they knew where he worked, they knew his daily routine and what route he took to work. "They were watching me," he says, "like I threatened to kill the president or something."

This guy just does not get it. He was in the country illegally, and he took no steps to become legal. There are scores of accounts of men and women who may have illegal status but they get it right! What is the matter with these people? He had a job, he was raising his daughter, and yet he refused to take the necessary steps to become a law-abiding citizen of this country.

That's on him at this point.

"To me, this is a nightmare," he says. "You get taken away from everything you care about, your loved ones, everything. That's the only way I can describe it — it's a nightmare."

Yes, but you were in the country illegally. That's not our fault. Being separated from your family for a time is not as bad as losing your son or daughter forever. Such is the fate for many

The feeling of desperation is what drove him to try to sneak back in.

OH! He breaks the law again!

A week after he was deported, Mares climbed over the border fence and ran. He chose a place where the fence crosses through a busy part of the city. A stranger he met on the street recommended the spot, and some passers-by gave him a boost over the top.

Now we have to read about how this illegal hurt himself while breaking into the United States--again.

This is so shameful. For these stories alone, readers should just throw the LA Weekly rag in the truth and not think twice.

THEN we find out how this person is -- an illegal alien:

José Mares was one of 161 undocumented immigrants netted in the L.A. sweeps that ICE conducted in early February, the first significant enforcement surge of the Trump presidency. The sweeps were part of a nationally coordinated surge of 680 arrests in 11 states. Yet it was not the size of the raid that's notable but, rather, how abruptly ICE had jettisoned the "felons not families" guidelines for removal established under President Obama.

GOOD. Obama's guidelines were unconstitutional in the first place. They should have never been enacted or enforced -- at all!

Trump appeared to endorse the sweeps a few days after Mares was deported, tweeting: "The crackdown on illegal criminals is merely the keeping of my campaign promise. Gang members, drug dealers & others are being removed!" It is the "others" he mentions that most concern advocates for immigrant rights.

ICE under Trump is going after low-hanging fruit, migrants with final orders of removal for a petty misdemeanor offense, according to lawyers who work with the recently deported in Tijuana. 

So, that's more information that the article holds back. Mares is a criminal, or at least he has a further record in addition to being illegal.

Final Reflection

The remainder of the second article follows the "tragic" account of other illegals swept up in the ICE raids.

Enough.

It's time for the media to write and represent the accounts of American citizens who lost their loved ones to illegal aliens. Where was the story about Sandra Duran, killed by an illegal alien in a hit-and-run in North Hills?

What about the Steinles, whose daughter was murdered, shot by a five-time deportee who had stolen the firearm from a federal agent? After nearly two years, no one is asking about this family and what they have been through. This is beyond incredible--it's a shameful stain on the media industry for ignoring the truth about the devastating consequences of illegal immigration on American citizens.

Perhaps it's time for hard-core patriots to boycott these publications and then signal to the advertisers their non-interest in their goods, too.

LA Weekly's Trump Derangement Syndrome

As a Los Angeles County conservative, I think that Trump's election and first two weeks of his Presidency has been the greatest thing to happen to California and the country in 36 years.

Finally, we have a strong leader who is not ashamed to be an American. He wants to fight for our citizens. He wants to Make America Great Again. He's run huge businesses, sometimes into the ground, but he's also bounced back and risen up to higher heights, much like the skyscrapers in Manhattan, New York.

He has more than impressed me, and he has assuaged every fear and concern so far about his commitment to this country, our Constitution, and his solemn promises to put Americans first and uphold the rule of law.

He is already enacting policies and making decisions that are great for business. He has also taken clear aim at Obamacare. He has assembled a vast network of incredible executive nominees. In welcome and yet unprecedented fashion, he has pushed aside a corrupt and frustrating liberal media cult--and has pulverized them for their stultifying bias.

Of course, blue states for the most part got bluer in 2016, signaled their determination to double-down on their regressive left-wing stupidity. Yet even deep blue Los Angeles County, where I had a Republican representing me for the first time in over 22 years, Republicans and conservatives in general have much to be happy about.

For that reason alone, LA Weekly's Hillel Aron announced that certain doom will befall the City of Angels following Trump's ascension to DC Paradise.

Aron issued his dour reflections about President Trump in the December 22. 2016 edition of the county alternative rag, which has for the last five years provided excellent reporting and commentary on the corrupt and unaccountable education scene in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

First, he deemed that Trump is the worst thing that could happen to Los Angeles:

1. Trump.

There is simply no positive way to spin this: Donald Trump is an unmitigated disaster for Los Angeles.

 I thought that the crumbling streets, the declining morale, the dispersed law and order which makes any great, let alone livable, had turned the Angelic Spanish settlement into an absolute hell hole.

What about the rampant illegal immigration, gang-banging, poverty, homeless, overpriced gentrification, government corruption, and general economic malaise spelled out that the disaster which has engulfed Los Angeles.

The coming Trump presidency has struck immigrants across the city with fear and uncertainty. And in addition to his call for mass deportations, Trump has threatened to starve all so-called "sanctuary cities" — places that refuse to assist the federal government in its deportation efforts — of federal funding. If Trump were to follow through on that threat, Los Angeles stands to lose billions of dollars.

The same media spin and lies roll out once again. If the immigrants in our midst are in this country legally, then what do they have to fear? If the "immigrants" in the country are not here legally, if they refused to follow the legal pathway to citizenship which is available to all, then they have only themselves to blame.

Of course, like the spoiled wannabe Millennials they want to be (forever young, forever stupid), the LA media coffee-klatch will blame Trump for all of California and Los Angeles' ills.

Speaking of losing buckets of money (not to mention killing your buzz), Trump also could make the legalization of recreational marijuana more difficult by continuing to criminalize it on the federal level. His pick for U.S. Attorney General, Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, bodes poorly for legal weed. ("If Mr. Sessions were to be confirmed, many supporters of legalization worry that his past remarks about marijuana could portend a crackdown," according to The New York Times .)

First, LA Weekly quotes #FakeNews New York Times, which jumps to the raging conclusion that Senator Sessions is going to crack down on sovereign states which have decriminalized marijuana. Washington State and Colorado better be on the look-out, right? After all, AG Sessions won't have anything else really serious to focus on, like illegal immigration, domestic terrorize, rampaging fraud and corruption in state and local governments. Yeah, G Sessions is going for your weed first thing tomorrow morning.

Sessions is very likely to going to let the MJ choom-train run at low-profile speeds. Smoke it, but don't blow the smoke in Washington's face. Of course, with the Democratic supermajority bracing for one fight after another with Trump to show their true left-wing credentials, expect Los Angeles and San Francisco to do everything they can to invite all-out war with President Trump, Vice-President Mike Pence, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Secretary of State Rex Tillerston, and Secretary of Everything Else ...

Not only is Trump one of the worst things to happen to L.A. in 2016, he also imperils one of the best things to happen to the city this year (recreational weed) and one of the best things about the city, period (its spirit of inclusion).

Aron thinks that smoking dope is the most "dope" thing to hit Los Angeles? Really?!

No wonder this city is going down the drain. The hard-hitting journalist who follows the epic fails of LAUSD thinks that MJ is the best thing in LA, and fears the President in DC.

This is what Trump Derangement Syndrome looks like--in print, in one of the largest cities in the country, in one of the bluest states in the Union.

For the Trump supporter in the Belly of the LA Beast, all I can say is: "How sweet it is!"

Ricardo Lara, the Corrupt Robot from the LA Democratic Machine

State Senator Ricardo Lara is one more political animal in the Los Angeles jungle, who has strayed from his natural habitat.

He belongs in Los Angeles, since he was born (?) there.

The truth is, he like many corrupt machine politicians up and down Los Angeles County moved into the district where he now represents.

This man is bad news.

He has no scruples, and takes money from whichever interest will rain it down upon him.

LA Weekly reminded readers that major interests interested in fixing state education targeted Lara with their reporting:

It didn't take long for EdVoice, the deep-pocketed Sacramento advocacy group, to pull a couple of quotes from last week's L.A. Weekly story on the 50th Assembly District race and slap them on an attack mailer.

The story was about how Ricardo Lara got to be the favorite to win tonight.

(UPDATE: Lara wins. With 90% reporting, he has 43.6% of the vote. His nearest challenger, Carmen Avalos, is at 30.3%.)

A relative unknown, Lara has raised more than $400,000 and has the backing of the L.A. County Federation of Labor, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and many others.

Let's cut the crap here. Lara did not raise the money. His handlers, his puppeteers 

EdVoice, which is funded primarily by wealthy donors who support charter schools, has sunk $190,000 into supporting Carmen Avalos in the 50th. It's not much next to the $1.4 million the group has put into electing Gloria Romero as Superintendent of Public Instruction, but it's still enough for a serious challenge.

Charter education has been a god-send for impoverished communities in Los Angeles. I am glad that one set of community leaders was willing to step up and try to stop Lara.

The thinking goes that if they can upset a favored candidate, that will force others in Sacramento to take notice. Much of their money in the 50th has gone into negative mail against Lara, including this piece:

Activists, PACs, and other groups have to promote positive alternatives, too.

That first quote isn't quite right. The story actually says that Lara's two opponents accuse him of being a machine candidate and a carpetbagger. The rest is accurate enough, though EdVoice loses some hometown South Gate cred by spelling Henry Gonzalez's name wrong.  But by the standards of political mail, there's nothing too egregious here.

The only thing that is egregious is Ricardo Lara's abuse of power.

Liberal and conservative, black, brown, white, Latino or Anglo, Californians are tired of Ricardo Lara.

When will the legislators start working for We the Citizens?

Los Angeles County's Middle Class Poverty

LA Weekly bemoans the rapidly rising price for living in Los Angeles.

This paper among the many still publishing in the region are partly to blame.

After all, they have been pushing the very illiberal policies pushing working men and women out of the county!

L.A.'s Middle Class Is Now a Minority

Those angry right-wingers who want to rewind us back to the 1950s might have a point.

There we go. The LA Weekly news staff cannot help but jab at the conservatives, the limited government advocates, etc.

While they're a bit twisted about postwar America, a time when taxes on the rich were much higher, education was well-funded by people who still sent their kids to public schools, and even the under-educated could luck out with the help of a Big Government G.I. Bill, one thing is true: The middle class ruled back then.

Actually, much of the prosperity of the Post-War boom followed from massive cuts in taxes and spending from the federal government. Dwight D, Eisenhower warned Americans about the growth of the military-industrial complex.

The same folks who complain about this not being the '50s have pulled their kids from public schools, fought against tax increases and balked at funding infrastructure repairs and improvements. Then they complain about how crappy things are today.

How about discussing where all of California's money is going? Pension debate, high salaries, lawsuits. Pet projects for special interest groups, while ignoring the public interest.

Of course Los Angeles made a strong showing.

"In about a quarter of the metropolitan areas in 2014, middle-class adults do not constitute a clear majority of the adult population," the Pew report states. "Notably, many of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas fall into this group, including Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA, where 47 percent of adults were middle income; San Francisco-Oakland-Hayward, CA (48 percent); New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA (48 percent); Boston-Cambridge-Newton, MA (49 percent); and Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land, TX (49 percent)."

The reasons why the middle class is disappearing in Los Angeles: hostile business climate, high taxes, regulatory burdens, big labor abuses, etc. How about all that high crime and congestion eating away at the core infrastructure of this great city?

Yep, the middle is now the minority in Los Angeles. Of course, it's not a minority in strict terms. It's a plurality, meaning that more people belong to the middle class than any other income group. But it's clearly a shrinking group.

"In the Los Angeles region," Pew says, "the middle class is relatively small because the share of adults who are lower income is greater than average."

And that $15 minimum wage. Wow! Now all those agitating entry-level workers don't have jobs to enter at all! All those young people who are looking for their first job are going to have to wait a lot longer.

Way to go, Los Angeles!

Indeed, our individual median income of $27,897 is a few grand more than poverty pay for a family of four. It's low.

Hmm.

Yet our median home price of $575,000, by one account, is mansion money in many other cities. You can start to see here that the much talked-about American gulf between rich and poor thrives in L.A.

Los Angeles isn't alone.

"From 2000 to 2014, the share of adults living in middle-income households fell in 203 of the 229 U.S. metropolitan areas examined in a new Pew Research Center analysis of government data," Pew says. "The decrease in the middle-class share was often substantial, measuring 6 percentage points or more in 53 metropolitan areas, compared with a 4-point drop nationally."

Metropolitan areas are more expensive because of the pandering Democratic politicians who give away taxpayer dollars to labor unions

Californians are having a harder time finding a home because they cannot afford the homes. The regulations and the restrictions on home construction and ownership have turned off a lot of middle-income investors. More high-income earners are merely moving to another state.

Let's get our middle back. Let's elect a billionaire as president!

LA Weekly seems keen on liberals. Do we want to elect an old influence-peddler who earned her multi-millions through corruption?

Or how about "Weekend at Bernie" Sanders? He rants about the rich getting richer, and the poor getting poorer. The discrepancy of wealth has taken place under the unprecedented progressive Presidency of Barack Obama.

Destructive, useless, painful, outrageous. Kill businesses, drive up costs, impose special interest perks at the expense of the public.

Permit bad schools to under-educate youth and overburden taxpayers.

Los Angeles, run by the elites to run down the poor and run out the middle class.
