As expected, the Washington Post went after MassResistance for taking a firm, successful stance against Drag Queen Story Hour programs across the United States.

Here's their hateful "report" going after us, and then playing defense and rescue with Drag Queen Story Hour proponents.

A public library in Texas will be partially closed this weekend in anticipation of demonstrations by political groups over a children’s story hour run by a drag queen that is planned at the branch.

The library should have never allowed the perverse program to come into the library in the first place!

The library in Leander, a city of 56,000 about 30 miles north of Austin, is providing space for Saturday’s drag queen story time event, which will be hosted by a local church. But the rest of the facility will be closed.

This action is completely unethical, and more city councils are taking steps to make sure that public facilities are not used in such biased, slanted ways in the future.

Drag queen story hours have made libraries the latest front in the United States’ wrenching national dispute over gender roles and sexuality.

In Leander, city officials first canceled the story hour, which was to be hosted by the library, in late May before a progressive and LGBT-friendly church in the area, Open Cathedral, stepped in to host it. The church will hold the event in a conference room it booked at the library.

“A lot of people are upset we canceled, and a lot of people are upset we had it planned,” Priscilla Donovan, the library’s director, told reporters at the time. “But it’s starting to tip more toward people who are disappointed we canceled it.”

Now rumors are flying about whether right-wing groups, including those that lean toward the extreme, will be greeted by anti-fascist protesters in front of the library as people in drag read stories to children inside.

At least one group, MassResistance, a self-described “pro-family” organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center characterizes as an anti-LGBT hate group, has targeted drag queen story hours around the country. Its chapter in Texas has organized a protest Saturday, when the event is supposed to be held, according to its Facebook page. Christian groups and media companies have spotlighted the event as well. And at least one liberal group, ATX Resistance Action, has organized a counterprotest to support the event.

When a newspaper has to quote a hate group like the Southern Poverty Law Center to call you a hate group, you know that you are winning!

Ryan Hart, 38, the minister and founder of Open Cathedral, said in a telephone interview that the church was surprised by the reaction to the event.

The bigger surprise is that any so-called church would host an event with drag queens and consider such perversity "holiness".

“We thought this would be 10 kids and three moms,” he said. But 2,000 people flooded the website to express interest in the event, which is RSVP only, he said. He expects about 150 people to attend.

“It’s about a community that’s looking to say out loud that we love our kids,” Hart said of the positive response. “It’s about a community that has more diversity than politicians realize. And it’s about a world that’s changing and people who want to be more loving than people saying, ‘Be quiet and sit down.’ . . . We’re honored to be called into the middle of that.”

No mother or father can claim to love their children when taking them to see creepy sexualized entertainers who dress as self-parodies of women. That is not love. That is child abuse.

The organization Drag Queen Story Hour started in late 2015 in San Francisco just as the country’s reinvigorated right wing was coming into form. But it has found many fans with chapters in areas outside traditionally liberal cities; it now has outposts in places like Milwaukee; New Orleans; Charlotte; Mobile, Ala.; and San Marcos, Tex.

"Reinvigorated right wingers" are to blame for Drag Queen Story Hour, Washington Post? Really? Does anyone take this newspaper seriously anymore? Anyone?

Its founders have described it as a reaction to the harsh political landscape of the past few years, in which painful debates about issues like identity, sexuality and race have animated the country’s politics.

Why are there debates about identity and sexuality in the first place? This is all crazy.

“I think it is partly a reaction to the political landscape of the U.S. right now and a need for more queer programming for children,” co-founder Jonathan Hamilt told the BBC about the organization’s popularity in more conservative areas.

And it has inspired dozens of other libraries and groups across the country to host their own events, as Travor Bach reported for The Washington Post.

In recent months, the events have sparked opposition in places like Simpsonville, S.C.; Binghamton, N.Y.; Spokane, Wash.; Huntington Woods, Mich.; and Houston, where organizers canceled the long-running event after a lawsuit, the disclosure that one of the former readers was a registered sex offender and the arrest of a protester who was carrying a licensed gun and refused to leave the event.

MassResistance was instrumental in many of those protests, by the way. We were successful in shutting down Drag Queen Story Hour in Georgia, Ohio, and New Hampshire.

The debate about the story hours has also entered the op-ed pages, including a polemic written by New York Post op-ed editor Sohrab Ahmari for the religious journal First Things and a rebuttal from New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg.

It's a really sad commentary on our culture when the towering intellects of our chattering class have been reduced to arguing about drag queens reading to children. Why this is a thing in itself should be a cause for alarm.

“There are times where the rights of religious believers and those of a pluralistic society conflict: when, for example, conservative Christian bakers are asked to make wedding cakes for gay couples, or some ultra-Orthodox Jewish parents are ordered, against their own convictions, to vaccinate their kids,” Goldberg wrote. “The existence of Drag Queen Story Hour is not one of those times. Conservatives are not being subjugated because they can’t stop other people from holding a public event that offends them. It’s telling that some of them think they are.”

In Leander, the event drew harsh words from the city’s mayor, Troy Hill, who castigated the library’s staff for choosing “to wade into social issues water without approval from City Staff.”

“Since then it has led to the predictable outrage and divisiveness that is the reason to avoid these issues,” he told television station KVUE.

Drag Queen Story Hour is all about grooming children to accept sexual perversion as normal and natural. Every parent has a right and responsibility to take a stand against such filth. Elected officials have a stern responsibility to put a stop to such madness, as well, since governments are instituted among men to protect our rights, certainly, but also to restrain evil. It's very difficult to restrain evil, however, when elected leaders dismiss its concrete existence in the first place.

Mike Neu, a spokesman for the city of Leander, said officials expected that many of the demonstrators Saturday would be coming from outside the city or even the state.

“We don’t know if it will be one group or several groups,” he said.

The library’s closure was reported by the Austin American-Statesman.

Open Cathedral is a member of the United Church of Christ, which has a history of activism on issues such as abolition, women’s rights and LGBT rights, Hart said. One Christian news organization called it an “apostate Texas ‘Church.’”

Any church which promotes sexual perversion has nothing to do with Christ. It is crystal clear, since the church is rejecting the truth of God's Word, including the blessed fact that "Male and female he created them", this building is not a church.

Hart said he didn’t think it was a coincidence that the culture war had found its way to the staid and respectful world of libraries.

Libraries have not been very respectful places for a long time. It's unfortunate, but this happened over time as the American Library Association became more partisan, progressive, and ultimately perverse. Libraries are trained by the ALA on how to promote Drag Queen Story Hour without the parents' knowing about it, and the librarians are also trained how to respond to objects and criticisms of the movement, too.

“I realized that revolutions always start with books and libraries,” he said. “People feel so deeply isolated in our society — that’s true of a lot of groups, whether it’s straight white men, people of color or immigrants. And I believe that people want to be included no matter what, and that’s what we’re trying to do with the kids of this community.”

People are not isolated, as much as they have become numb and uninterested in what is happening in their local governments, and the agencies which they are responsible for.

Yes, MassResistance played an important role in shutting down Drag Queen Story Hour programs across the United States. We are very proud of this effort, and we take great pride when even corrupted rags like the Washington Post report on our efforts!

Washington Post on Obama Rally in Anaheim

Towards the end of the Obama Rally, which was more like a sad therapy sessions for the desperate California Democratic Party.

Their actual turnout numbers were pretty weak considering what they hoped to bring into the California primary.

They have weak or unknown candidates, many of whom met with Barack Obama in Orange County because they feared his presence in their home districts, where he is simply not that popular.

On top of that, there was a small turnout: 750 to 900, depending on which reporter tells you what.

One of the reporters on scene was reporting for the Washington Post. Some of the member of our Trump team did not want to talk to him. Fortunately, he came back and spoke to the rest of us. We all had something we wanted to say.

‘We’re going to fight’: Obama hits the campaign trail in California

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Waving a clipboard and calling for more citizen activism, former president Barack Obama returned to the campaign trail Saturday, reprising his role as the Democratic Party’s biggest star at a California rally for seven U.S. House candidates.

No, he is not the biggest star. He barely encountered 750 people at this rally. The Anaheim Convention Center had to move the meeting from a large ballroom for 5,000 to a side room for a much smaller number.

The event came nearly 20 months after Obama left the White House and committed himself to withdrawing from the daily political debate in the tradition of presidents past. In recent days, however, he has made clear that he can no longer remain restrained.

Let's cut through the crap here. Obama had no intention of walking away from national politics. He intended to take his Organizing for Action activism machine a step further and continue his efforts to fundamentally transform the country using Saul Alinsky style tactics.

He was never going to go away gently. He has no intention of acting as though he has no power any more. In fact, much of the Deep State today comes from his appointments and micromanaging the massive bureaucracies with his appointees and directives throughout his two terms in office.

“The only way we reverse that cycle of anger and division is when each of us as citizens step up and say we are going to take it upon ourselves to do things differently,” he told a crowd of 900 at the Anaheim Convention Center, his shirt sleeves rolled up his arms. “We’re going to fight for the things that we believe in.”

Obama doesn't believe in much of anything, does he? He didn't mention many of his priorities during that rally, according to videos I had watched of the event.

Unlike the blistering speech he delivered Friday in Illinois, where he compared President Trump to a demagogue and described the current moment as a time of “political darkness,” Obama offered no pointed critiques of his successor — or mention him by name. Instead Obama struck a light note, focused on the biographies of California candidates he was there to help, calling out his love for the crowd three times, and even recounting his childhood visits to nearby Disneyland.

Why? Because going after Trump backfired. Such rhetoric directed at the President fires up the Republican base. Many Democrats right now are not big fans of Obama. The Berniecrats have taken over the California Democratic Party, even if the Hillary-aligned Eric Bauman is the new chairman.

His central message, which he hit repeatedly, was that Americans needed to become more involved in electoral politics. He praised the outpouring of Democratic energy in recent special elections, and called for more.

We are, and that's why Trump got elected. We are involved, which is why more cities throughout the state have opted out of SB 54 and why churches across the state lobbied against the state legislature to stop AB 2943.

“During these times of uncertainty it is always tempting for politicians for their own gain and people in power to see if they can divide people, scapegoat folks, turn them on each other,” he said. “The biggest threat to our democracy, as I said yesterday, is not one individual. It is not one super PAC billionaire. It’s apathy.”

That's what Obama did for eight years. For all his talk about "There is no red America. There is no blue America," he spent a great deal of time propping up the illiberal policies of blue states, which impoverish their residents while corrupting the government. He also spent more time sticking it to the red states, going out of his way to frustrate their political and moral ambitions.

Obama stood on stage with six of the seven California Democrats running in Republican-held districts that Hillary Clinton won in the 2016 election. The state is a central battleground in the Democratic effort to flip 23 Republican seats and retake control of the U.S. House.

Actually, he spent most of the time standing alone on the stage. At the end of his speech, the seven candidates come on stage with him, but they didn't spend much time with Obama. He went right down to the crowds and mingled with the people who came to see "The One.

Vanity is what Barack Obama is all about. He cares about himself, which might explain why a lot of people didn't show up to see him.

Mike Levin, one of the congressional candidates Obama praised in his talk, said the visit had been a boon for his volunteers and supporters. “This will energize them,” said Levin, who is running in a district that includes parts of Orange and San Diego counties.

What volunteers, though? There were only 750 people there to begin with!

Obama will attend a second rally Thursday in Ohio for Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Richard Cordray, a former Obama appointee. These are Obama’s first public campaign events since he attended rallies for Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy in 2017. He has also attended several fundraisers for Democratic efforts, recorded a robo-call for Alabama Sen. Doug Jones and this summer he released his first round of 81 federal and state-level endorsements.

Not many of the candidates in California received an endorsement from Obama. What's the point? Many of his and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez' endorsements all fell flat, too!

President Trump has so far greeted Obama’s return to politics with a mixture of sarcasm and disdain. Trump initially dismissed the Friday speech as boring. “If that doesn’t get you out to vote for the midterms, nothing will,” he said sarcastically on Friday, while visiting Sioux Falls, S.D.

Obama's speech was not very rousing or engaging. He said some straightforward comments, but there was nothing of his legacy that he could talk about. President Trump has rolled back and eliminated so much of Obama's corrupt, decrepit legacy. This is great news for the vast majority of Americans, many of whom did not think they would see happy, prosperous days ever again.

Trump later retweeted several posts contesting parts of what Obama had said. One forwarded message from former Fox News anchor Eric Bolling argued that Obama was trying to take credit for Trump’s economic success. The tweet derisively summarized the successes of the Obama presidency as simply “Slick Speaking” and “School Shootings.”

Yes. Very true. How sad, however, that the Washington Post has to rely on President Trump's tweets for information. If they engaged in more honest reporting, they would get more access to the White House and his staffers.

Trump also retweeted a post from Richard Grenell, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, who noted the Trump administration had recently deported a former Nazi. Obama had criticized Trump for failing to sufficiently condemn Nazis who had marched in Charlottesville, asking, “How hard can that be, saying Nazis are bad?”

The event Saturday in Anaheim was scripted to appeal broadly beyond the activist base, who filled the crowd of hundreds. Two of the speakers before Obama identified themselves as current or former Republicans. Others gave testimonials about the need for protections provided by the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

"Filled the crowd of hundreds." Wow. That's what I call initiating some spin, right there.

“The big blue wave starts right here in California,” said Eric C. Bauman, the chair of the state Democratic Party, before offering a fresh twist on Trump’s slogan. “This election is about fixing America again.”

America is already getting fixed. Our economy is stronger, there is more access to work. President Trump is rolling back an incredible number of regulations. He has nominated two Supreme Court Justices, with the second one very likely to join the first confirmed appointment to the highest court in the land very soon.

All of this is very exciting!

Irvine resident Bob Nicoll, a training manager for a computer game company, was one of the attendees who received a ticket to the event through the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

“We’ve had enough,” he said before Obama spoke. “Truth matters. We all feel mobilized.”

Democratic operatives like this guy would not know the truth if it bit them on the butt. The Democratic Party is not interested in the truth, they are no longer interested in morals, they have a long history of racism (which they are struggling to cover up), and now they are going along with the fantasy of socialism and centralized government.

Barack Obama does not inspire people anymore. The thrill is gone.

A group of about six Trump supporters gathered outside the hall where Obama spoke, including one who only would speak with a Post reporter through a bullhorn, shouting that the reporter was “scum.”

There were 25 Trump supporters total who showed up and counter-protested. We demonstrated our love and enthusiasm for President Trump, too.

After the speech, protester Arthur Schaper said he and other Trump backers are “fed up with lies being said about the president.” A Democratic “blue wave” in November “ain’t going to happen,” he said.

Yes. For once, a major newspaper quoted me accurately and appropriately.

Final Reflection

There is a lot of reservation about talking with the press. He had asked me about my affiliation with MassResistance, too, but ultimately did not write about it.

Rest in Peace, Dr. Krauthammer

Charles Krauthammer—an intellectual giant, the former unabashed liberal, former speechwriter for Vice-President Walter Mondale, psychiatrist and diagnostician, Washington Post pundit and Fox News Contributor—has passed away.

His death is still stunning to the viewing and reading public which would look forward to his take on the issues of the day. Yes, he had announced that his time was coming to an end about one month ago, but still it was too soon for him to go. Having undergone surgery for stomach cancer, his prognosis seemed good. Then the cancer resurfaced aggressively. With only weeks to live, Krauthammer wrote his final good-byes to the public: “I am sad to leave, but I leave with the knowledge that I lived the life that I intended.” And what a life it was.

Born in Manhattan, New York to a family of Orthodox Jews from Belgium and Ukraine, he studied primarily in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Interestingly enough, the family spoke French at home, but his English was magnificent. At McGill College, he majored in economics and political science, but then pursued medicine, specifically psychiatry. He trained at Harvard, then Balliol College at Oxford. An impressive academic pedigree, to say the least. It’s worth nothing that he accomplished so much in spite of a tragic diving accident during his first year in medical school. He hardly paid attention to his paralysis, and I didn’t know about it until recently.

As a clinical psychiatrist, he helped write the third edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) manual in 1980. He discovered a different variant of manic-depressive disorder called “secondary mania”. His work led him to the Carter Administration, first to assist with research in mental health, then as a speech writer for Vice President Walter Mondale, which followed from his contributions to The New Republic, Time Magazine, and eventually the Washington Post.

Even though his career shifted from psychiatry to journalism, the core subjects of his professional did not change. After all, a recent survey confirmed that the highest number of psychopaths are concentrated in Washington DC. His diagnostic skills featured prominently in his work, and for good reason. He described the roots causes, not the effects of foreign and domestic policy very credibly. 

How can one not see his psychiatric skills at work when he referenced the United States as the sole superpower in the world in his article "The Unipolar Moment”, published in Foreign Affairs in 1991?

Krauthammer has received a wide array of praise and eulogies following his untimely demise, but I write to share my thoughts because he served as one of a few inspirations for me to become a national columnist. It wasn’t his ready wit or his broad knowledge and vocabulary which engaged me, and I didn’t learn about him reading the Washington Post or even watching Fox News. I first learned about him when he was a guest speaker in the 2004 documentary Celsius 41.11: The Temperature at Which the Brain ... Begins to Die. The film served as a welcome counterpoint to the Michael Moore crockumentary Fahrenheit 9-11. In contrast to the sophomoric lies from the faux-populist from Flint, the Celsius documentary took a more precise, conservative look at President George W. Bush’s decision to invade Iraq.

As a featured panelist on the film, Krauthammer outlined sound arguments for Bush’s foreign policy decisions, including the necessary fight against radical Islamic terrorism. As a college student with free time to research more recent history and political thought, I looked up his latest works. One collection of his essays, printed in Cutting Edges served as my formative introduction to his mindset as well as his admiration for Ronald Reagan’s foreign policy and free enterprise agenda.

Unlike me, Krauthammer left college a liberal but became conservative following further research as well as alienation from the aggressive left-wing tendencies of the Democratic Party. After reading Charles Murray’s exhaustive study Losing Ground, which documented the failures of government welfare in War on Poverty, Krauthammer became a fiscal conservative, recognizing the power of free markets as opposed to government subsidy to help poor people prosper. His cultural issues shifted a little less. He opposed euthanasia, but remained pro-choice. Later, he opposed Roe v. Wade, declared that that court decision should be overturned.

His departure is bittersweet, since Krauthammer’s death signals a few final milestones. First, the printed press itself, since he and his politically astute peers came of age in the Age of Print. Second, the decline of neoconservatism. This aggressive, interventionist foreign policy coupled with an increased disdain for New Deal/Great Society domestic interventionism has had its day. He coined the “Reagan Doctrine”, but Reagan was not a manic interventionist, and the Trump Doctrine resembles Reagan’s policies of peace through strategic, limited displays of strength sans massive military expense. Moreover, the national maladies of illegal immigration and imbalanced trade deals have hurt working Americans, and their treatment required a populist agenda. Those issues were simply not Krauthammer’s specialty.

Granted, he didn’t like Trump, and he didn’t vote for Trump. During the 2016 GOP Presidential primary, I even wrote one article featuring one of his derisive monikers for the presidential nominee. Towards the end of his career, however, reassessing Trump’s first 500 days, Krauthammer found more reasons to like him “He is the President, and I want him to succeed. I am a patriotic American,” he declared. In turn, President Trump made peace with the writer, addressing him as “Dr. Krauthammer” in one speech. Still remaining steadfast in his convictions, the writer was pleased.

Rest in peace, Dr. Krauthammer.

Hell Freezes Over: Washington Post Stands with Sarah Huckabee, Not Red Hen Haters

Even the Washington Post has some level-headed editors.

Then again, the Washington (Com)post probably realizes that all this anti-Trump animus is only helping the President, his supporters, and their agenda.

Let the Trump team eat in peace

OVER THE WEEKEND there was a fair bit of argument about the decision by a small restaurant in Lexington, Va., not to serve dinner to President Trump’s press secretary. It wasn’t the first time recently that strong political feelings have spilled into what used to be considered the private sphere. We understand the strength of the feelings, but we don’t think the spilling is a healthy development.

"Fair bit" is fairly off. This discrimination is unjust and needlessly divisive. Granted, any private establishment can choose whom they choose and do not choose to serve, but prospective customers locally and nationally can choose not to go there--and they can inform others not to go there, either.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was dining with a few other people at the Red Hen in Lexington Friday night. Several of the restaurant’s staff are gay and objected to Ms. Sanders’s defense of Mr. Trump’s discriminatory policies against transgender people. The staff also objected to the administration’s recent actions leading to the separation of thousands of children from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. Respecting her staff’s wishes, the restaurant owner politely asked Ms. Sanders to leave, and Ms. Sanders politely acceded. She then tweeted about the episode, turning it into a public controversy.

Actually, she didn't dine at the Red Hen. She wasn't allowed to since the owners and the staffer took a vote to have her leave. Notice that the "gay" people working at the restaurant wanted her to leave, too. Where's the tolerance? I thought that "Love Trumps Hate". For the left, tolerance has never been a two-way street. Ever.

This followed by a few days the very public heckling of two architects of that border policy, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, at Washington restaurants. Last month a Nebraska sociology professor was found guilty of vandalism for spraying false blood at the home of a National Rifle Association lobbyist in Alexandria.

The violence of the left, but I repeat myself. The whole "left-wing" ideology is predicated on violence instead of voluntary exchange of ideas. The left-right dynamic emerged during the French Revolution. From the Jacobins to the Robespierres to his sick followers, violence played a large role in their political economy. Use force at every turn as an appropriate means to demand fulfillment of their radical vision of equality.

It’s not a new tactic for protesters of one sort or another to target a public official’s home or private life. But never-at-rest social media have blurred the line between work hours and private time. Cellphone cameras make it ever easier to intrude and broadcast.

Private time, private life, and a general lack of privacy also defines the left. They don't know a difference between civilian, secular living and political activism. Like radical Muslims enforcing Sharia over aspect of life, these insane anti-social injustice warriors will to go every length possible to shut down dissent.

They are in full derangement mode only because they know that they are losing the fight, and even the crappy, corrupt lamestream media cannot help them.

Most obviously, passions are running high. Those who defend the Red Hen staff, or Ms. Nielsen’s hecklers, say this is no ordinary policy dispute. Mr. Trump has ordered terrible violations of human rights at the border, he is demonizing immigrants by his actions and his rhetoric, and people need to speak up however they can.

There is nothing terrible or horrific about the orders to secure our borders and protect American sovereignty. This is beyond ludicrous, delusional, laughable. Even though this editorial is supposed to defend Press Secretary Sanders, the writers will still fight against Trump.

They will get no argument from us regarding Mr. Trump’s border policy, and when it comes to coarsening the debate, he is the prime offender. The poisonous fruits could be seen, as it happens, Saturday morning in a vile tweet from Ms. Sanders’s father, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, that associated House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, with the vicious MS-13 gang.

President Trump is not the offender. The Red Hen owners are the henpeckers who snubbed Sanders and family.

We nonetheless would argue that Ms. Huckabee, and Ms. Nielsen and Mr. Miller, too, should be allowed to eat dinner in peace. Those who are insisting that we are in a special moment justifying incivility should think for a moment how many Americans might find their own special moment. How hard is it to imagine, for example, people who strongly believe that abortion is murder deciding that judges or other officials who protect abortion rights should not be able to live peaceably with their families?

Good question. Abortion is murder. Protecting our borders from murder is a life-affirming action to ensure that our nation survives into the future.

Reflection

During the 2012 Election primary, Newt Gingrich sharply criticized John King for bringing up the trashy ABC interview with his second wife about an open marriage proposal. He slammed the destructive, vicious nature of the media, which has made it more difficult to governor the country and made it harder for good people to run for office. Who wants to put up with the 24-7 relentless abuse of mad mob crowds looking to damage people's life, property, and reputation--all in the name of social protest.

I am not sure that the answer to this increasing conflict is to force businesses to serve everyone. I do believe, however, that conservatives need to keep up the fight of "punching back twice as hard." These people on the left will never learn until they fully absorb the consequences of their disastrous policies. These private establishments think they can bully and pick on people who don't agree with them? How will they like it if it's done to them?

And that is precisely what is happening. Donald Trump has provided the cover and the example for everyday people to follow in fighting back against the corrupt and the evil Deep State of Washington DC. Sarah Sanders handled the abuse against her very effectively. She was not rude, but she did expose the rude, abusive behavior of the restaurant. People around the country had responded accordingly.

For those who do not know, Jennifer is the token "conservative" or "Republican" columnist who is supposed to give Washington Post the appearance of being fair and balanced to both sides of the political spectrum.

Jennifer Rubin is a Never Trumper snob who has no business passing herself off as some kind of Republican guru or expert. Her arrogant refusal to support President Trump and recognize the great work that he has done for conservatism is a full-on shame.

Talk about false advertising. The articles above were written within three years of each other. The first one, she rightly slams the corrupt, abortive, false Iran deal. But when President Trump terminated the crappy deal, she criticizes him and his efforts.

This woman is beyond useless. This kind of tasteless flip-flopping for narrow-minded political reasons, specifically a petty disdain for President Trump, spells out precisely why the mainstream media is in complete, irrevocable freefall.

I say that every should throw the Washington Post into the Compost and not look back, and let's let Jennifer Rubin's articles lead the way.

Trump vs. Amazon: What is Going On?

I didn't have a chance to comment on this article from March.

But I did want to share some thoughts about Donald Trump's targeted attacks against Amazon.

Here we go with Trump publicly attacking Amazon again, accusing them of not paying sales taxes and abusing the post office…or something.

I have stated my concerns with Amazon long before the Election. Unlike others, they pay little or no taxes to state & local governments, use our Postal System as their Delivery Boy (causing tremendous loss to the U.S.), and are putting many thousands of retailers out of business!

But as one reporter explains, Trump’s sales tax claim is not accurate:

That sounds right to me. When I purchase something from Amazon in my state, sales tax is applied.

CNN also backs this up with an article from exactly one year ago, where they start out by saying:

On Saturday Amazon (AMZN) will start collecting sales taxes on purchases in the last four states where it wasn’t doing so: Hawaii, Idaho, Maine and New Mexico. Four other states — Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon — have no sales tax, while a fifth, Alaska, doesn’t have a statewide tax, but it does have municipal sales taxes.

We also pointed out the last time that Trump unfairly attacked Amazon that their agreement with the Post Office has nothing to do with their losses. In fact their package delivery service is profitable enough that it helps subsidize their letter and rural delivery service.

Amazon keeps the federal post office in business? Maybe it's time to privatize the whole thing. People want their mail delivered on time and with efficiency. Private firms have to compete in order to stay afloat. Government firms get money no matter how well or poorly they do.

Was Trump Amazon so that they would become a cheaper alternative to the United States Post Office?

I wonder ....

So yes, once again it sounds like Trump is lying again to smear a private company. Ugh.

Yep. That makes perfect sense.

This is a plausible reason, too--and praiseworthy. I have nothing against the Washington Post slamming the Fake News, left-wing media which spends more time pushing a narrative than telling a story. WaPo lied about Judge Roy Moore and smeared President Trump repeatedly to knock him out of the Presidency.

The press is so corrupt, so untrustworthy, one wonders when more major newspapers are going to collapse.

Here’s the bottom line for me. If Amazon is doing something illegal then the DOJ needs to investigate and prosecute them.

We are still waiting for the Department of Justice to prosecute Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Mendacious Bob Menendez

But if they aren’t, then Trump needs to STOP smearing a private company. Period. It’s ridiculous that we would even have to say such a thing because it’s absolutely not how a president should behave. He sounds more like a Thug-in-Chief when he does this.

I disagree. Jeff Bezos deserves to get kicked around. It's time for our elected officials to target and punch back at industries who actively undermine our President and the country, especially when the President wants to do what is best for the country.

Final Reflection

President Trump does not play by Queensbury Rules, everyone. This country needed a street fighter who would win, and Trump is doing exactly that. We need more winners and more winning, however, and that means a get-along Congress that wants to make the MAGA Agenda happen.

Right now, it's not happening. Private firms of all kinds are starting to erode and undermine the rights of citizens, however, so for me I have no problem with President Trump punching back twice as hard. Banking interests want to bankrupt gun owners and gun manufacturers. Big Tech companies in Silicon Valley think it's OK to censor people whom they don't agree with on their social media platforms. There is nothing wrong with the President taking on crony capitalism and bad businesses who want to undermine the rights of others and push false propaganda in the name of news.

I was pleasantly surprised, since it was not just thoughtful and well-written, but the article shared strong, warm praise for President Trump and the conservative agenda which has enacted, in spite of massive opposition from members of both parties.

As President Trump continues to remake the Republican Party in his image, calls for last rites to be given to American conservatism are not just premature — they’re entirely wrong. Accusing Republican voters of political apostasy for supporting Trump is wrong, too. These perspectives are also evidence that the accusers are missing an intellectual and political reformation that is reshaping U.S. politics.

Yes, they are. The millions of "Forgotten Americans" are still forgotten by the bereft, self-righteous establishment of both parties, especially Republicans. They would campaign on conservative principles, but then go along with the Potomac Two-Step, spending money that the country does not have while pushing an agenda which benefited the lobbyist and political careerist class.

When was the hurting going to stop for farmers, for small business owners, for families who witness the cultural decline throughout the country?

Blinkered by an outdated, hermeneutic based on the post-Reagan right-left split, the sentinels of the conventional wisdom have been predicting the demise not just of Trump but also of the entire conservative project for more than two years now. In fairness, it’s an easy mistake to make. Who thought an obscure monk from Wittenberg would upend the medieval social and political order? Like Martin Luther, Trump is an unlikely catalyst for this much-needed political reformation. Because the critics focus too much on the man and not enough on the message, their basic complaint about Trump voters has been: “You sold your principles to back a grifter for short-term political gain.”

What a perfect comment. Most of the conservative writers and prognosticators have gotten caught up in Trump's attitudes and rhetoric. They focus on what he says but ignore all the good that he has accomplished.

North Korean Defector

The North Korea-South Korea peace process has much to do with President Trump's outside appeal. He cares about this country, but he does not worry about the press and their en masse disregard for his power and legacy. Because Trump is not beholden to the Wall Street and the Big Business insiders, he has pressed ahead and put North Korea on its heels.

Let's talk about the comprehensive regulatory roll-back which he has steamrolled? The Deep State is getting deeply drained, and Trump was willing to do this because he owes no one a thing. In fact, the massive antagonism from both parties has made it easier for him to screw them all over by gutting the government and cutting through the crap. Most Congressmen cater to special interests because when they leave Congress, they want a job with any one of these agencies. Trump will have his business and brand to return to once he lives Washington DC.

I think it's a nice touch to compare President Trump to Martin Luther, the little monk who made a big difference. Of course, the comparisons are pretty slight beyond their iconoclastic take down of the political and cultural establishments of their times.

But who’s really been selling the snake oil?

For years, Republican voters were promised constitutionalist judges, fiscal probity and immigration enforcement. We got John “Obamacare” Roberts, runaway deficits, de facto open borders and multiple tries at Gang of Eight amnesty. If that weren’t enough, Republican believers in American primacy were led into a series of misguided wars by a small but determined foreign policy claque focused on implementing a policy of moral imperialism that runs counter to this country’s history and values.

Moral imperialism is a perfect phrase, and I must admit that I believed in it. Cultural changes are not as easy as removing a bad dictator and imposing Jeffersonian Democracy. Neo-conservatism hit a brick wall with George W. Bush, and Barack Obama turned the military investments not just into massive fail

Trump is Fulfilling His Promise

Against this butcher’s bill of failures and broken promises, look at Trump’s first year in office: Unemployment is low, the stock market is high and wages are rising. Ordinary Americans have more money in their pockets as a result of lower taxes. Illegal immigration has declined, regulations are being rolled back, Obamacare’s individual mandate is dead, and a slate of constitutionalist judges has been approved, with more on the way. 

But what about the record-breaking deficits?

Thanks to a too-timid congressional leadership, deficits remain a problem, but we’ve at least gotten major pro-growth policies. And with House Speaker Paul D. Ryan’s impending departure, we have a chance at a more energetic effective leadership team.

Please! Let's hope that we can hold the House of Representatives going into the Mid-term elections and then into next year.

And in some ways even more significant, Trump has pushed back against the stultifying political correctness that has chilled free expression and thereby undermined the foundation of free government in the United States.

The Republican big-wigs were actually small-ball players who wanted to get along to go along. Their sheer lack of courage is unfathomable to me. Then again, it probably all comes from their determination to listen to others, especially their big money donors. They can't say anything out of line or court controversy, lest they get shut down and shut out.

People can't run for office without money. There must be a better way to run for office and have adequate funding without having to capitulate to donors and their limited demands.

Yet, a cottage industry in eulogies for the Republican Party, and “conservatism” more generally, has sprung up. These observers miss the point, just as they missed the 2016 election. American conservatism isn’t dead or dying. It’s thriving, but you’d have to look outside the Beltway and the legacy institutions to see it. This once-in-a-century reformation is revitalizing a political movement that was in danger of fading into irrelevance.

Exactly. Conservatism isn't dying. It's alive and well. In fact, conservatism is actually happening now because Donald Trump is not afraid to fight. Most of the conservative intelligentsia are more interested in getting invited to the major parties and receiving awards. In other words, these individuals are more interested in sitting at "the kool kids' table".

There's just one problem: the "kool kids" are not cool.

What is dying, however, is the smug elitism of the old establishment and all of the gentry-class pretensions that alienated voters. Despite some high-profile gadflies who receive more media attention than their influence with voters should justify, conservatives find themselves remarkably unified. The empty ritual of high-church coastal conservatism is yielding to an intellectually deeper and politically robust small “r” republicanism that hopes to build a new political consensus from the ground up. At the heart of this movement are the millions of people of good faith who back Trump and, more important, his agenda, because they believe that it is consistent with the best of the American political tradition and that it will do more good for more people than anything else traditional Republicans or Democrats have to offer.

Small "r" republicanism: I love that! We need less politicians and more liberty. We need more American and less Washington DC. The political chattering classes didn't get anything done. What good is a conservative if he isn't conserving anything?

This conservative renaissance is young but vigorous. It embraces — but is also bigger than — Trump. While the American left is absorbed in a game of competitive victimhood, the American right is engaged in a serious debate about how best to develop and sustain civil society, how to foster good citizens and how to sustain U.S. peace and prosperity in the face of unprecedented challenges from an aggressive, confident China.

Trumpism is moving hard, even in California. When Los Alamitos voted to opt out of SB 54, I told the press that this event was bigger than Trump's election. California citizens are rising up against the corrupt, regressive leftist phalanx which is throttling Sacramento and draining all of us financially, morally, and physically.

We the People of California have had enough!

Central to this new political project — denigrated or just plain ignored by many anti-Trump partisans — is genuine respect for the individual and the restoration of a high view of citizenship, its rights and duties, informed by the natural “inalienable” rights political philosophy of the Declaration of Independence. This cuts across the traditional partisan divide while allowing Americans to engage in real political debate while affirming what Jefferson said after the contentious election of 1800: “We are all republicans. We are all federalists.” That’s where the energy is on the right, you just have to know where to look.

The push for individual value and liberty is fundamentally essential to a thriving constitutional republic. Yet even this is under attack among the otherwise conservative "red-pilled" youths who are convinced that group think in terms of ethnicity is the way to go. The collectivist mindset is outrageous, unsupportable, and unacceptable.

We need to confront this nonsense.

Final Reflection

Too many conservative writers, thinkers, and consultants were more interested in controlled failure than chaotic victory. They wanted to look good for the photos, get calls to attend the best parties, and be liked.

Being liked is not going to help us stay free. Even Machiavelli understand that good leaders must demonstrate power and consequences, and so much of our liberties are being flushed away from us. Our political leaders who claim to be our champions are throwing us away, putting aside the best interests of the nation to make themselves look good long enough to get elected, and then get by without any concern for the rest of us.

Thank God for Trump, and thank goodness that so much of the tepid, weak leadership is getting pushed out little by little from the House of Representatives on both sides of the aisle.

The Decline of WaPo: "Conservative" Journalist Celebrates Eric Garcetti, Sanctuary Cities

If there was no reason to despise WaPo "conservative" columnist George Will, there is now. His unfounded hatred of Donald Trump has only grown worse, and now he celebrates Democratic aspirants to challenge Trump in 2020.

His current favorite? Eric Garcetti, the son of displaced LA County District Attorney Gil Garcetti.

Really.

Los Angeles’s mayor deserves a presidential hearing (No, He doesn't!)

It was dicey being Jewish in a Russia that was tolerant of pogroms, and then came the threat of conscription into the 1904-1905 Russo-Japanese War, so one of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s great-grandfathers headed west to America. 

George Will is part of the open-borders lobby in the left-wing press. I don't recall him having such a demented determination to undermine the national sovereignty of this country in years past. I think this conservative intelligentsia establishmentarian can't handle the fact that someone he doesn't like is doing more for conservatism than he ever could have done.

Another Garcetti great-grandfather married a Mexican woman who, fleeing revolutionary ferment there, headed north to America. Which is why Garcetti, a fourth-generation resident of one of the world’s most polyglot cities, is as American as a kosher burrito, a delicacy available at Mexikosher on Pico Boulevard.

UGH. Really, George?! Multiculturalism or multi-ethnocentrism?

Trim, natty — colorful socks are, alas, fashionable — and with the polish of one born to public attention (his father, Gil Garcetti , was Los Angeles’s district attorney who prosecuted O.J. Simpson), Garcetti, like dozens of Democrats who have noticed recent presidential history, is asking: Why not me?

Notice that Will won't mention that Republican Steve Cooley blew "Silly Gil" out of the water in 2000. Part of it I imagine stemmed from his massive failures to prosecute high profile crimes like OJ.

Good question. Although presidents Andrew Johnson , Grover Cleveland and Calvin Coolidge had been mayors of Greeneville, Tenn., Buffalo and Northampton, Mass., respectively, no mayor has gone directly from a city hall to the White House. But the 44th president came from eight years in the nation’s most docile and least admirable state legislature (Barack Obama effectively began running for president as soon as he escaped to Washington from Springfield, Ill.). The 45th came from six bankruptcies and an excruciating television show. 

Feel the love. George Will probably wishes Barack Obama were back in the White House instead of Donald Trump. I am really disgusted with this columnist. What is he thinking? 

So, it is not eccentric to think that a two-term mayor of one of the world’s most complicated cities might be as qualified to be president as was, say, the governor of one of the 23 states (Arkansas) with a population smaller than this city’s . And less challenging: Los Angeles’s schools teach children whose parents speak Tagalog and 91 other languages other than English.

How is this a good thing? Or is it even anything?!

Recent history does not suggest that America has such a surplus of presidential talent that it can afford to spurn an audition by a mayor who governs where more than 40 percent of waterborne imports enter the country — through the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Where more than 50 percent of residents are either immigrants or the children of immigrants. Where immigrants from more than 30 nations form those nations’ largest overseas communities.

Immigrants, immigrants, immigrants: what about American citizens? I have to ask this question because it's become more difficult and suspect to wonder if writers and reporters are talking about men and women in this country legally ... or illegally.

"Immigrant" should only refer to people who came into this country the right way, legally, through the front door after proper vetting, paying all the fees, passing all the tests, and playing by the rules.

Garcetti’s immersion in immigration realities gives him standing to warn his party, which is addicted to identity politics, that “people do want a national identity.” We are “not an ethnic nation but a civic nation,” and Democrats must speak to “identity” rather than “identities.” 

When did Garcetti say any of the above? Let's be frank: the only reason he is taking a more middle ground on the immigration and sovereignty issues is that he wants to compete and reach out to the remaining reaches of Middle America which some Democrats might be able to win.

Also, he brings practicality to the ideological argument about so-called sanctuary cities: When a Korean immigrant, who became a citizen and later a Los Angeles police officer, was shot — not fatally — witnesses and others in the neighborhood, many of them likely illegal immigrants, came forward with information that enabled the police to capture her assailant within hours. Such police-community cooperation is, Garcetti says, jeopardized when local police are viewed as closely allied with federal immigration enforcement.

It makes some sense for Will to tag the phrase "so called" after sanctuary cities. They are not sanctuaries in any sense. In fact, they invite more drugs, corruption, human trafficking, sexual assault and abuse, and ultimately murder.

Just ask Kate Steinle.

Notice that Will writes "Many of them likely illegal immigrants." There is no assurance that their status was questionable or in question. What a shameless attempt to defend an indefensible urban policy positions. This passage was the most stunning and the most offensive and obtuse in the entire article.

Sanctuary cities are not practical and unwise. They are counterproductive, inviting more illegal aliens and their lawless presence and activities to our cities and our country. The routine argument from Establishment Republicans and accomodationist RINOs is that since the illegal aliens are already here, we might as well make the most of their presence in our country.

That is a terrible response, enabling criminal behavior and putting American citizens in danger while eroding our national sovereignty and fiscal stability.

Garcetti, 47, is a generation younger than some progressives’ pinups (Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and former vice president Joe Biden). And, living far from Washington, he is positioned to deplore the Beltway, within which his party has been concentrating power for a century. 

That is a nonsensical argument. Los Angeles has become very much a federalized city, in that the overreach of government, plus the massive collusion with public sector unions and private sector cronies has made the city all the more attached to Washington DC at the hip (and the teat). Let's cut through the crap here. Los Angeles wants to be very much a federal region, a federal area on par with the federal capital.

Garcetti is another big government statist, and there is no panache about this guy which suggests that he could be any kind of progressive darling. He is the male version of Hillary Clinton (not that Hillary Clinton is any less of a man, anyway).

He suggests a rule for those who are perpetually enraged about the president: “You only get five minutes a day to yell at your TV.”

The truth is that every foray he makes into the public square involves castigating President Trump. Of course, he begs for federal dollars as often as possible. One has to wonder how much longer he can kick down the President in public, but kiss up to him in private.

 Democrats, he says, sometimes are “the smarty-pants party” that does not “speak plain English.” He seems, however, to be tiptoeing on eggshells when trying to avoid offending his party’s easily offended keepers of litmus tests. When, last September, an interviewer asked him whether gun manufacturers should be liable for the misuse of their products, he said, “I think you have to be open to that.” Such mush (Should we be “open to” distillers’ liability for drunken driving?) does not move nominating electorates.

If Will finds him unmoving and unimpressive, why write an article glorying over him? Eric Garcetti won re-election by a wide margin because so few people voted (how many residents in Los Angeles are illegal aliens? Of course, legal status has never prevented illegal aliens from voting in the City of (Fallen) Angels before.

New York’s mayor from 1933 to 1945, Fiorello La Guardia, a Republican in a Democratic city, famously said, “There is no Republican or Democratic way to pick up the garbage.”

All of that has changed now that Democrats are more committed to communism and cronyism than country. The politicization of the justice system has worsened, too, especially where Democrats have won supposedly non-partisan offices.

And mayors have what Garcetti considers “the luxury of doing.” But Los Angeles mayors are not powerful — the schools are run by others — and he must get along with the mayors of 87 other cities in Los Angeles County. This is, however, training for the presidency, which is less powerful than those who seek it think it is, until, in office, they must deal with Washington’s rival power centers.

Will should talk about the backstage Deep State takedown which the Beltway bureaucracies are waging against President Trump. He won't, however, because he would love to see Trump dumped, even though he was elected by the lawful process outlined in the Electoral College.

In 2020, California’s presidential primary, which usually has been a June irrelevancy, will occur in March. This might also benefit Kamala D. Harris (D), the state’s freshman U.S. senator. Anyway, Garcetti deserves a hearing. America could do worse. It usually does and, in 33 months, it probably will.

Shame on George Will. That's what I must write first.

Second, shame on him for defending outlaw sanctuary cities. Notice that he didn't write about the horrific murder of Tierra Stansberry and four other Americans in the Westlake Section of Los Angeles. Their killed? A 22-year old illegal alien from Honduras, Johnny Josue Sanchez, who had set fire to an abandoned warehouse.

One of the homeless, Deadre Mitchell, rushed into the building to save the four other lives, native Iowans trying to reconnect after two of them had fled the country. Sanctuary cities hurt American lives, and they protect no one but the corrupt, undocumented politicians covering for themselves and their future careers.

We just cannot allow "conservative" arguments like the ones proffered by George Will to go unchallenged. No wonder he's not making the lecture and TV circuits the way he used to. Does he work for MSNBC now, too?
