Thanks to MassResistance activism, Texas State GOP Convention continues to condemn the LGBT agenda in its platform

Following overwhelming win after win on that issue by our pro-family delegates.

 This 2022 headline says it all. We defeated them so badly in 2022 and 2024 that they just gave up in 2026!

If your past record is strong enough, sometimes just showing up is all it takes to win again. That’s the political lesson for today from MassResistance! It certainly worked at this year’s Texas State GOP Convention.

The Texas State Republican Convention is held every two years. In 2022 and 2024, the MassResistance delegates were outnumbered by the LGBT contingent. But our people were far more successful and built up an unstoppable momentum leading into this year’s convention (held June 11-13 in Houston).

Here’s what happened:

At the 2022 Texas GOP Convention, we got a strong plank passed opposing “gay rights.” It was a real battle at first. MassResistance delegates Tracy Shannon and Kevin Whitt successfully led a bitter fight in the platform committee to get the language “Homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice” before the full convention.

At the full convention vote, the LGBT contingent was well organized to stop it. But Tracy, Kevin, and the MassResistance team outworked them and were more vocal. The convention overwhelmingly passed it. Here is the text of that platform plank:

Homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice. We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin, and we oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values.

Getting this passed was a shock to the LGBT movement. Within a week, the Chairman of the Texas Log Cabin Republicans resigned over that defeat.

Two years later, at the 2024 convention, the Log Cabin Republicans regrouped and were determined to remove that plank from the party platform. But Tracy was ready for that.

Speaking before the full convention, Tracy pulled no punches. She said that there can be no neutral position when it comes to this issue. If the party backs away from it, then it essentially endorses the lifestyle. A watered-down version was attempted, but that failed. The plank remained!

 Tracy Shannon takes charge and rallies the 2024 convention not to back down.

At this year’s 2026 convention, Tracy was there and prepared for another big fight. But this time the Log Cabin Republicans made no attempt to fight it! They didn’t even bother to contest the plank with a minority report, Tracy told us. They knew we had them beaten!

It was a great victory without a shot being fired!

This wasn’t the only victory. Since 2020, Tracy and the MassResistance delegates have also been leaders in two other battles in the Texas GOP convention:

• Keeping the traditional marriage plank (marriage = 1 man + 1 woman) in the platform.
• Keeping the Log Cabin Republicans from being allowed to have a booth at the convention.

Both of those were upheld in the 2026 convention.

Coming in 2028: Tracy’s next convention battle will be to make an important change to the GOP’s plank on “gender identity.” Currently, the GOP platform opposes allowing sex change operations for anyone 26 or under. It also supports criminal prosecutions for anyone performing such procedures on minors.

Tracy says, “Why just for ages 26 and under? Why can’t we stand against ALL so-called sex changes?” The whole ideology is based on lies, and no society should tolerate it. We anticipate her winning that one, too!

Final Thoughts

All this is yet another example of where a few people have made a tremendous difference – often in the face of seemingly overwhelming opposition!

As we continue saying: It may look like you’re outnumbered and out-funded – but it’s only an illusion to believe that you can’t still do great things. Just jump right in! MassResistance will help you.

Transgenderism Needs to "Sashay Away," Time for Trans-Widow Remembrance Day

 

Tracy Shannon, the Texas Director for MassResistance, has quite a story to share about the perverse effects of transgenderism, homosexuality, and the like.

Alex Stein: Annoying Grifter who Frustrates the Pro-Family Movement

I was not really impressed with Alex Stein when he first came on the scene.

Sure, he gave these great talks in front of city councils, making fun of them in all sorts of ways. He would act like an outrageous, outspoken SJW. He would put on cringe-worthy rap sessions.

He followe Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez around and made jokes about her big butt. OK, it's all funny, whatever.

But with no due respect, what does all this trolling really accomplish? AOC got to play victim and raise lots of money from the attacks on her looks. The people who protested her at her town halls two weeks ago were more effective, since they actually called her out on policy. People on the Left seem to understand that it's not about promoting yourself, but your cause which is how you make the difference. We need to hold elected officials accountable to do what they said they would do.

I am not interested in making a buck. I am interested in making a difference.

But Alex Stein ... he wants to make a buck, wants to make a name for himself ... and now his self-serving antics have threatened a real political effort in the state of Texas.

Texas MassResistance activists are working with other pro-family groups to get rid of Judge Mary Brown, the despicable left-wing activist who is allowing Ann Georgulas to mutilate her son James Younger. Jeff Younger has been waging as effective a campaign as he can to protect his SONS and stop the abuse of his children by the family court judicial supremacy state.

One direct way to get things done it to give Judge Mary Brown the boot. An excellent attorney, Earl Jackson, has qualified for the write-in ballot, and MassResistance activists like Kevin Whitt are spreading the word for everyone in Dallas County to write in Earl Jackson for Dallas County Judge Family Court District #301.

This is a real grassroots effort which will have really good consequences for the pro-family. Imagine putting in place a judge which will uphold the law, protect children, and stop the normalization of transgenderism? Imagine a judge reviewing the current Younger v. Georgulas case, and throwing out the rulings which require Jeff Younger to subsidize the systematic destruction of his son by the crazed ex-wife?

This is what the pro-family movement needs to be all about. We need political and cultural victories, not likes, views, and shares.

But instead of assisting with this effort, Alex Stein wants to promote himself and has thrown himself into this judicial contest:

This is a stupid move. There is a qualified candidate who is a shoo-in as a write-in. Why is Alex doing this?

Kevin Whitt tried to correct Alex about this and asked him to back down:

Kevin is right.

In order to be a write-in candidate for a judicial office, you have to apply to be a write-in candidate. You also have to be a lawyer. Not just anyone can run for a judicial seat. Alex Stein is clearly unqualified.

And how did Alex Stein respond when Kevin told him to support Earl Jackson:

Really?!

This is Alex Stein. He mockes pro-family conservatives. He frustrates pro-family efforts to get rid of a really bad judge and replace her with a good statesman. Instead of thinking about the larger goal of winning the political and cultural fight, he gets angry because someone tells him to back of an election proposal which is not possible.

This is really shameful. This is grift on a whole new level. It's one thing to be a comedian. It's one thing to be funny. But it is not funny to frustrate a true grassroots effort to get rid of bad politicians who hate kids and destroy families.

 

Alex Stein was not that big of a deal in the first place, and now he's a Controlled Opposition Grifter helping the anti-family, LGBT Left. It's just so shameful.

We’re all learning how the Left’s storm troopers are not only violent but degenerate. They come out in force to defend those who push sexual deviancy on children – and attack anyone who disagrees.

But in Texas, pro-family activists - including MassResistance – are boldly standing up to it!

As we recently reported, Texas MassResistance leader Tracy Shannon and MassResistance activist Kevin Whitt exposed how a local leftist church in Katy, Texas, was bringing in a Drag Queen with a criminal record to perform at an upcoming event with children. This was widely reported on conservative news sites, and several pro-family groups announced they would be showing up there to protest as the Sept. 23 event was taking place.

The church, First Christian Church of Katy, had quickly dropped that particular Drag Queen after Tracy exposed his past and published his degenerate social media posts. But the church continued to advertise the event with a different Drag Queen.

Raising money to help teenagers cross-dress without parents' knowledge!

Besides pushing “Drag” culture on children, the purpose of the church’s “Drag Bingo” event was to raise money for "Transparent Closet," the church's in-house organization that helps teenagers to cross-dress without their parent's knowledge. For example, the group gives dresses and make-up to boys, and gives girls strappings to “bind” their breasts tight to appear masculine – a very unhealthy practice promoted by the LGBT movement.

One pro-family man managed to get an admission ticket to the church's Drag show. While inside, he also was given a tour of the "Transparent Closet" by a church member! But when they saw that he was videoing, they had a police officer remove him. Someone later posted his video on Twitter. Right after he left the church, Tracy Shannon interviewed him.

He told Tracy that the Drag show was just as bad as people imagined it would be:

It was a drag show. And there were kids and other adults giving the drag queen money during the performance. There were suggestive things said, all of that. There were adults, younger children, and teenaged kids.

He then described what he saw in the "Transparent Closet" area:

The closet is set up in a way that is designed to keep parents uninformed. Chest binders, underwear, and bras can be found.

They told me that they're trying to get more binders and things like that. They showed me jewelry, purses, makeup, bracelets, earrings, underwear, and scarves.

They said they give Home Goods bags to the kids to take it all home secretly, "because families aren't supporting."

He also mentioned that these repulsive buttons were being given out at the church event.

Pro-family people gather to protest

On Saturday, Sept. 23, 0ver 200 people from several area pro-family groups – including Texas MassResistance – lined up across the street from the church to protest the event.

Many held signs. Some prayed and sang. A Catholic group prayed the Rosary. A contingent of “Proud Boys” (who are much maligned in the media) showed up in support. The peaceful protesters came because they were upset that this was targeting children in their city.

 The pro-family protest stretched for blocks.

 People weren't afraid to speak out!

 It was a diverse crowd! When they found out that Antifa was coming, they had messages for them!

Antifa hoodlums come to support “Drag” and terrorize pro-family people

A group of several dozen Antifa thugs clearly had been organized to disrupt the pro-family protest. They lined up on the sidewalk in front of the church, facing the pro-family people across the street.

Many of them were masked and dressed entirely in black or wearing other bizarre clothes. They brought signs promoting homosexual and transgender behaviors (and child grooming), and, as usual, labeling those who disagree with them as “fascists.” (This is ironic, of course, because they are acting exactly as the true fascists of the 1930s.)

Word of Antifa’s plans had apparently become known to the police, who showed up in riot gear to attempt to act as a barrier between Antifa and the pro-family people.

 There appeared to be both local cops (above) and state police (below) on the scene.

The overwhelming opinion of the local people in Katy, TX was clearly against the Drag Queen event with children. Nearly all of the counter-protesters (supporting the event) seemed to be part of the Antifa group, and from outside of the community. All of the cars that passed by that honked or gestured supported the pro-family side. (A lot of thumbs-up!) The Antifa group appeared to be discouraged by that response, Tracy told us.

The Antifa thugs assaulted the pro-family people with Bear Mace – a powerful 20-foot spray meant to subdue aggressive, charging bears. Here’s what Tracy Shannon told us:

Antifa sprayed everyone with Bear Mace because they are idiots. They were intending to spray the Proud Boys but it was windy. The Mace blew down the street and affected most of the crowd.

There was also a drive-by by Macing of the Catholics who were praying Rosary. My son was Maced. The Mace got in all our throats. One woman had a panic attack, another had to administer an EpiPen because of allergic reaction to the Mace.

The police saw what was happening but made no arrest of the thugs. They did not seem to want to get involved beyond keeping people apart. It was outrageous, and very frustrating.

Were there actual Nazis among pro-family groups?

There were some strange people on the pro-family side that the Antifa people insisted were “Nazis.” But this was likely a false-flag stunt similar to what we’ve seen the Left do many times before. As Tracy told us:

They kept pointing out that “Nazis” were on our side. So, I yelled at them that “we didn't invite Nazis, but you invited drag queens for children.” Not sure if the weird men standing here were real Nazis or not, but they have shown up before, but only when Antifa is there. So they are either plants (most likely) or they are more interested in Antifa than protecting children.

Final thoughts

Although the church event itself could not be stopped, the fact that over 200 pro-family people came and stood up to the intimidation tactics of Antifa is significant. People working to sexualize children should never get a free ride. And prominent conservative media across the country reported and commented on this action.

Besides being violent, Antifa is more degenerate than many people realize. Like the Nazis of the 1930s and the Leninists before that, they recruit dysfunctional people from the dregs of society and form them into a nationwide terror group. They are clearly well funded and well organized. In this case, much of their funding (as we know) comes from US corporations that give hundreds of millions through a variety of disgusting leftist “social justice” front groups.

But good people must continue to stand up – and we will eventually bring back decency and a healthy society!

‘Trans Widow’ Says Husband’s Transgendering Shattered Family

Tracy Shannon married a man and divorced a “woman.”

She had no early indication that her husband and high school sweetheart had a desire to become a woman and the clues were slow in becoming apparent.

He started shaving his legs, saying that his physically demanding job made his jeans pull his leg hair out, she said. But at first, she didn’t think it was more than a personal quirk.

“I just thought that was so ridiculous because I’ve never heard of any guy’s jeans pulling their hair out on their legs,” she said.

Then she found out he secretly painted his nails through the sharp scent of acetone in the bathroom.

Shannon said she realized he had a problem.

But when she visited a counselor with him, the doctor told her she was crazy to oppose his desires.

“The lady told me that I’m very closed-minded because I’m not down with the cross-dressing,” Shannon said. “She suggested that he could go and do this on weekends with a bunch of guys, and I would never have to see it.”

Shannon’s husband’s choice to indulge his fantasies of being a woman “shattered” his family and left his three children vulnerable, she said.

Today, she runs the Texas chapter of Mass Resistance.

Mass Resistance was founded in 1994 to “confront assaults on the traditional family, school children, and the moral foundation of society,” according to its website. Today, the group has chapters in more than 16 states.

Unlike many people who criticize the transgender movement, she doesn’t speak from anonymity. The stakes are too high, she said.

“There’s nothing more precious in our children that we could lose. A job is replaceable,” she said.

The Epoch Times attempted to contact Shannon’s husband, but was unable to find him.

Steeped in Manipulation

Shannon’s experience with transgenderism began in 1998 before the movement went mainstream, she said.

“They didn’t even use the word transgender back then,” she said.

But it was a foretaste of what many Americans would soon experience.

Shannon describes herself as a “trans widow.” Her husband chose to change himself so much that it was effectively like death.

Although society rarely sympathizes with men who break marriage vows to go after younger women, people often sympathize with men who break marriage vows to be “happy” as a transgender “woman,” Shannon said.

Often, strangers ask her if her husband is happy now.

“If my ex had simply just left for a younger, hotter edition, nobody would say something that cold to me. But I get that all the time,” she said.

“I think that is the most insulting thing because a commitment to marriage should mean something,” Shannon said. “Children mean something.”

Shannon isn’t the only trans widow. An increasing number of women have seen husbands vanish in quests to become “women.”

According to Shannon, her husband’s pursuit of “happiness” was steeped in manipulation from the beginning.

He only told her he liked to cross-dress after the birth of their first child, she said. But he added that he had known this fact from the beginning of their relationship.

He said he had considered telling her on previous occasions, but chose not to.

“I didn’t want to tell you, because I didn’t think you would marry me,” she recalled her husband saying.

For Shannon’s husband, the idea of becoming feminine was linked to sexual pleasure, she said.

One day, she found him sexually excited while shaving his legs in the bathroom, she recalled.

“Why do you get such a kick out of shaving your legs?” she recalls wondering.

On other occasions, he asked her if he could pretend to be a lesbian during sex, she said.

Later, Shannon learned her husband had autogynephilia, a form of sexual response in men characterized by sexual arousal over the idea of being or becoming female.

“In my gut, I knew it was a form of infidelity, like an elusive ‘other woman’… but until I learned what an autogynephile was, I had no word or explanation for what I witnessed,” Shannon said.

Counseling a Trap

When her husband admitted to these desires, Shannon agreed with him to visit a counselor, she said.

But it was a trap, she said. The counselor had already been meeting with her husband and supported him.

“I went there the first time, not knowing she was an LGBT counselor, and she was someone that they recommended to the community of crossdressers,” she said.

Moreover, the counselor suggested that Shannon was a lesbian, she added. If Shannon was attracted to a man who wanted to be a woman, it meant she wanted a romantic relationship with a woman.

“We have to take everybody else’s word for what they are,” Shannon said. “But if you say you’re straight and you know it, there’s ‘something wrong with you.’”

Instead of helping her husband to change his behavior, the counselor suggested that her husband keep secrets better, Shannon said.

If he bought his women’s underwear, took her underwear, shaved his legs, put on makeup, and went out to bars with other transgender people without Shannon’s knowledge, it would be fine.

“No, I don’t want my spouse to have a separate life from me. That sounds crazy,” Shannon recalls replying.

Finally, the counselor said her husband didn’t know if he was a man or a woman, she recalled. Shannon said she reacted by telling the counselor that if that was true, she needed a divorce.

Her husband responded to that by saying he didn’t actually want to be a woman, Shannon said. But behind her back, he took female hormones.

Hormone Therapy

In 1998, the therapist Shannon saw with her husband gave him a letter to let him begin gender transition, she said.

Shannon said she never got notified of this development throughout her husband’s 11 years of hormone use.

In the meantime, her husband lied about the symptoms of his hormone use, she said.

He developed breast buds. He told Shannon that it was a side effect of the obsessive-compulsive disorder meds he took to manage his cross-dressing desires.

“When I learned he did this on purpose I felt violated by him and the doctors involved. I did not consent to this fantasy of ‘being lesbians.’ It is violating, unethical and cruel,” she said.

She said she found out he had been on hormones for a decade when she read chat messages between him and his lover.

“I still cannot believe a therapist or doctor will do this without a spouse knowing,” Shannon said.

One of her pregnancies during this time ended in miscarriage, and another of her children had a birth defect that would have been fatal without correction, said Shannon. She said she wonders if the hormone therapy was a factor.

In 2009, her husband took a woman’s name and started wearing women’s clothing, she said.

When Shannon divorced her husband, he had completely transitioned.

“When we went to court to divorce, I was divorcing a ‘woman’ with a name that was not even on my marriage license. It was all very bizarre,” Shannon said.

Children Involved

After about 12 years of attempting to deal with her husband’s transgenderism, Shannon divorced him, she said.

But her struggle had just begun. Some of the time, her husband had custody of their three children, she said.

He soon cohabited with his lover, a woman who wanted to be a man, Shannon said.

This woman was dangerous, she added. At times, the woman threatened to kill her husband and her children.

“She was abusive towards my kids,” Shannon said.

Furthermore, her husband and his lover tried to involve her children in celebrating sexually different behaviors, she added.

The pair tried to put Shannon’s children on a pro-BDSM gay pride parade float, she said. Her husband’s female lover walked around shirtless to display the scars that replaced her removed breasts.

They also made their home inappropriate for children, Shannon said. They left sex toys out, along with sexually explicit books.

“I always was prayerful for their protection, and I trusted God to bring them through it,” Shannon said. “They’re moving on from all that trauma, one step at a time.”

Today, Shannon’s children don’t see their dad, she said. But that doesn’t mean they don’t feel his loss. Since her divorce, Shannon has remarried.

“They just wanted their dad,” she said of her children.

Without their father, Shannon’s children have faced intense mental suffering, she added.

“Between three kids, there’s been six suicide attempts on different levels of how serious they were,” she said.

When a father decides to become a woman, children don’t understand, she said. Kids need a man in their life, and a “woman” doesn’t fill that need.

“Nature matters. And it matters to children. And they know when they’re missing out,” she said.

 They're not really invincible if you're willing to stand up and fight back!

Texas MassResistance is leading the way back to normalcy!

On July 24, the Texas Tribune, a prominent left-wing newspaper, published a banner article, “We failed”: Gay Republicans who fought for acceptance in Texas GOP see little progress.” The article described how the Texas branch of the Log Cabin Republican organization, which pushes homosexual and transgender issues into the Republican Party across the country, was now admitting defeat in Texas.

But what was the tipping point? The Texas Tribune article specifically mentions the “anti-LGBTQ” language inserted into this year’s Texas GOP Party platform despite LGBT objections.

At the 2022 GOP Convention held in Houston on June 16-18, Texas MassResistance delegates Tracy Shannon (our Texas MassResistance leader) and Kevin Whitt and their group were vocal and determined. They insisted that the strongly worded language regarding homosexual behavior which had been dropped from the state party platform in 2018, be re-inserted: "Homosexual behavior is contrary to the fundamental truths that have been ordained by God in the Bible."

The Platform Chairman finally agreed to submit a different but powerful phrase, for a vote by the Platform Committee: “Homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice.”

The debate on that plank was quite animated. A “gay” Platform Committee member and other “LGBT” people in the room vigorously objected to it. But Tracy, Kevin, and their group were not backing down an inch from insisting that the Texas Republican Party tell the truth. The “gays” were unsuccessful – and our people were persuasive. The Platform Committee voted 17-14 in favor.

Next, the plank had to pass a floor vote of the full GOP Convention. The LGBT contingent was fully organized to stop it. But Tracy, Kevin, and the Texas MassResistance team outworked them and were more vocal. The convention overwhelmingly passed it!

That victory was devastating to the “gays.” Within a week, the chairman of the Texas Log Cabin Republicans resigned, blaming the new GOP Platform language and a “path of divisiveness” and “lack of respect.” A few weeks later, the Texas Tribune article “We Failed” article came out.

Just the latest in a series of Texas MassResistance GOP successes

This was just the latest in a series of GOP Platform setbacks for the LGBT movement at the hands of Texas MassResistance. In recent years, Tracy and Kevin, have been successful in organizing efforts to insert language condemning transgender medical procedures on children, same-sex “marriage,” and “Drag Queens” reading to kids – and language supporting reparative therapy for those who suffer from same-sex attraction.

In addition to the GOP Conventions, Tracy and Texas MassResistance worked relentlessly pressuring the Texas State Legislature to stop the legal transgender “sex change” procedures on children.

When that bill got derailed by the GOP leadership, Tracy publicized how the GOP Governor, Lt. Governor, House Speaker, and Attorney General had accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations from the “transgender medicine” lobby.

So success came: All this activism ultimately helped prompt the Attorney General to rule that so-called “sex change” procedures constitute child abuse under existing Texas law – and the Governor to direct the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate such “clinics” in Texas.

Texas MassResistance pressure also helped force the largest “transgender medical clinic” for children in Texas to close.

(Although the Texas Log Cabin Republicans publicly claimed not to support transgender “sex-change” procedures on children, they appeared to do nothing to confront or try to dissuade those LGBT groups and corporations who were supporting it.)

Final thoughts

There is a belief among conservatives that the LGBT movement is invincible. Not true at all!

A lot of thanks go to the Texas GOP Platform Committee for not wilting before political correctness or backing down in the face of anger from the LGBT movement – and to the delegates on the Convention floor for voting the right way. These grassroots folks are the kinds of Republicans people appreciate. But it also took strong, unrelenting efforts from Tracy Shannon, Kevin Whitt, and the other great activists.

On the other end of the spectrum are states like Massachusetts, where the Republican legislators – including both GOP candidates for Governor – have basically become water-carriers and advocates for the LGBT movement, and the State Party is too timid to take a stand on that issue.

We need to push every state GOP to follow the Texas example!
