Open Statement to the LA County Sheriff (May 28, 2019)

First, I will commend the Sheriff for maintaining the process of his predecessor, which is to pose the names and release times of count inmates. These essential practices protect domestic violence victims who fear their perpetrators. Regardless of the outrage from progressive organizations, this process allows for federal law enforcement to take into custody malefactors who need to be removed from this country.

Those who oppose the removal of foreign national criminals from our country have expressed their larger agenda--the phasing out of the sovereignty of the United States and the imposition of Mexican rule or Aztlan rule or otherwise. This is a delusional farce which cannot be dismissed any longer.

I urge these proponents to review the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, the Mexican Cession of 1848. The Mexican nationals who resided in territories within the cession retained all property rights and received American citizenship. The President of the United States, James K. Polk, was prepared to respond to the larger interest of the Mexican population as a whole and annex the entire nation of Mexico. Those plans were thwarted when he lost control of Congress in 1846.

Now, regarding the federal statutes binding on the LA County Sheriff's department:

Our Constitution outlines our federal and by extension state and local governments’ commitment to the law of nations, as outlined in Article 1, Section 8 of our federal charter.

"To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;"

The law of nations requires a respect to borders, language and culture.

The Sheriff is defying the law of nations with his perverse insistence on undermining the rights and privileges of the citizens.

Consider this statement from Pope Pius XII:

"It is quite legitimate for nations to treat their differences as a sacred inheritance and guard them at all costs."

Stephen Harper, former Prime Minister of Canada, declared:

The fact is, the critical functions of laws and regulations and monetary and fiscal stability, among other things, are provided by nations, not global institutions.

The nation, with all its flaws, is a concrete reality. The “global community” is little more than a concept. 

The Sheriff's role is a concrete role. He is not supposed to interfere with federal law, federal laws. and the enforcement of those laws. Furthermore, his commitment to public safety should not hinge on halting or hindering cooperation with other law enforcement agencies.

This agenda to undermine the distinctions among nations and to erase the United States with Mexico is insensate, racist, and non-sensical.

The role of the Sheriff is to respect the laws of our nation, not just the statutes passed by the state of California or the county of Los Angeles. When there is a conflict, the conflict must be resolved. Courts have so far determined that charter cities are exempt from enforcement of SB 54. I believe that counties should assert similar home rule as soon as possible.

Residents in the city of Cudahy have shared alarm about allowing foreign nationals, illegal alien criminals, to hide safely, free from deportation in this city or any other municipality in the County of Los Angeles.

Reminder: the California Sheriff's Association opposed and remains opposed to SB 54, the so-called Sanctuary State Law, which ironically provides sanctuary to no one, including the legal immigrant and illegal alien populations. The phasing out of these necessary distinctions will invite nothing more than bloodshed and ongoing chaos.

I resent the repeated fraud from the LA County Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission members that immigrants in our communities fear reporting crimes to local law enforcement. It is simply not true. Individuals in this country legally, regardless of their background, have nothing to fear. Victims of crime can request a special VISA to ensure safety and stability.

Last of all, I commend the Sheriff and department for hosting these town halls. I urge his department to host meetings in Lennox, Lawndale, or the Wiseburn region in the El Segundo/Hawthorne Corridor. I sense that the South Bay, and the Southwestern region of LA County is not getting the proper attention needed and those stakeholders need to know that the Sheriff has begun heeding the concerns of all county residents.

Hawaii Freezes Over: Hypermajority Democratic State Rejects Sanctuary State Proposal

The state of Hawaii is the most Democratic, the most "progressive", i.e. the most corrupt, the state with the widest gap between rich and poor, the biggest difference between haves and have-nots.

The political class is so out-of-touch, and they do not care. The "Republicans" are not just RINOs, they are full-on left-wing traitors who vote for every corrupt, big government, anti-family proposal imaginable along with the vast majority of Democrats in the state legislature.

In spite of the decidedly left-wing tilt of the Hawaii state legislature, and the Democratic dominance thorughout the state, Election 2018 was not as bad for the Hawaii GOP. Republicans managed to hold onto all their seats in the State House of Representatives (5 out of 46), and they even gained a state senate seat (one out of 25), while Republicans in California, Oregon, and other states lost more seats!

But here's the big news ...

Not only did Republicans do (ever so slight) better than other state Republicans in other states during a so-called "blue wave), but Hawaii's legislators actually rejected a proposal to turn Hawaii into a Sanctuary State!


I cannot make this up.

Hawaii immigrant sanctuary bill dies in state Legislature

State Rep. Gregg Takayama, the chairman of the House Public Safety Committee, said Tuesday he won’t be hearing the measure in his committee.

A bill that would have made Hawaii the third so-called sanctuary state for immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally has died at the state Legislature.

The state Senate passed the bill and sent it to the House. But Rep. Gregg Takayama, the chairman of the House Public Safety Committee, said Tuesday he won’t be hearing it in his committee. That effectively kills the bill.

Takayama said that because most law enforcement occurs at the county level, he believes it would be more appropriate for the counties and not the state to consider creating sanctuaries. He noted local jurisdictions on the mainland have done so.

“I didn’t think there is a compelling need for a state law in this area,” Takayama said.

Oregon was the first to become a sanctuary state in the 1980s. California followed in 2017.

Los Angeles and Philadelphia are among the dozens of U.S. cities, metro areas and counties that have implemented sanctuary laws. The measures aim to focus law enforcement officers on local crime rather than detaining people suspected of being in the country illegally.

The bill passed by the Senate said Hawaii law enforcement would have prevented law enforcement from stopping, questioning or interrogating an individual based solely on that person’s actual or suspected immigration or citizenship status.

Hawaii law enforcement officers would be prevented from inquiring about the immigration status of crime victims, witnesses and those who approach the police for help. Exceptions would be made to investigate potential criminal activity by the person.

Under the bill, Hawaii law enforcement would have been allowed to help federal immigration officials if presented with a warrant. They also would have assisted if the individual immigration officials were seeking information on had a felony conviction or had been convicted of a misdemeanor within the past five years. They would have helped if there was probable cause to believe the person was engaged in terrorist activity.

“It is essential to the public safety of all residents that there is a relationship of trust and cooperation among members of the immigrant community and state and local law enforcement agencies,” the bill said. This relationship is undermined when state and local law enforcement voluntarily act at the request of federal immigration officials, it said.

What is happening here?

The Chairman of the Hawaii House Judiciary Committee made the argument that these issues should be taken care of at the county and city level.

But let's cut the ōpiopio ("crap" in Hawaii). The votes in this hyperdemocratic legislature simply were not there. People do not want "sanctuary state".

Now, Hawaii is surrounded by water. How do illegal aliens break into Hawaii? The vast majority of them are VISA overstays, but those overstays are illegal aliens nonetheless and they are harming native Hawaiians, American citizens who want to work!

Still, how was this accomplished, that a liberal legislature caved and did not advance a terrible bill?

Just like in other deeply-blue states, there is a chapter of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. Unlike the other state chapters, however, the Hawaiian Islands Republican Assembly fights back and spares no expense or reserve to go after bad lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.

If a Democratic hypermajority legislature could not pass sanctuary state laws at this point, doesn't that bode better for us on the mainland who want to stop this immoral, illegal travesty?

For now, to the Hawaiian Islands Republican Assembly, I say:

CONGRATULATIONS!

Fireworks (And Early Christmas Presents) in Cudahy (Photos and Report)

December 18, 2018.

I wasn't sure whether I wanted to go the Cudahy City Council meeting last night. On December 4th, 2018, I had attended the city council meeting and royally mocked the losing corruptos who got shut out of re-election.

It was an early Christmas Present that all of them got the boot. I will never forget watching Cristian Markovich fleeing the Cudahy City Council chambers on Santa Ana Street two years ago. Most of the members of We the People Rising have told me that one of their favorite activist events occured that January evening in 2016.

We had made some headway in Huntington Park, then we found out about the city of Cudahy. I was surprised to learn that in spite of all the pro-illegal activism in the Southeastern Los Angeles County area, there was one elected official who had refused to support any kind of a so-called sanctuary city policy: Jack Guerrero.

That takes some guts, and that takes some integrity.

But January 11th, 2016 was fun!

And we had fun driving these corrupt councilmembers crazy for the next two years!

Since that January 11th, 2016 evening, I saw some of the most egregious violations of the Ralph M. Brown Act. The city attorney was repeatedly interrupting members of the audience. The people in the city were up in arms during a suddenly-called special meeting. The council insited on moving the city council meetings because they feared for the safety.

Really? They actually feared the wrath of the constituents in their city, fed up with the corruption and abuse of power.

Two years later, and the corrupt Cristian Markovich, Cristian Hernandez, and Baru Sanchez are GONE!

But ... what was going to happen at the December 18th, 2018 Cudahy City Council meeting?

I actually had a really good time.

The biggest disturbances came from two people:

First, Edin Alex Enamorado, who has been pushing pot in the city of the last two years, caused a big disturbing for attacking me at the podium during a public hearing. It was really strange. What did I have to do with the continued issuance of marijuana permits in the city of Cudahy?

He started talking about Jack Guerrero for some reason, and the audience burst into applause.

It was really gratifying to see everyone in the audience boo him and shout him down, especially when he started attacking me. He was really out of line.

Most of the people in the audience yelled at him:

The room had to be cleared because of the growing disturbance all over the city council chambers.

This didn't seem fair at all. Why should anyone person ruin the meeting for everyone else? Things were really getting heated. I joked with the two deputies on scene: "I didn't disrupt the meeting. This was not my fault!"

They got the message, then ordered everyone to clear out of the room.

I met with some of the other residents in the city council chambers who congregated outside. I met one of the new city council members. I encouraged her to speak to the city council to take steps so that we could all come back inside.

Chris Garcia would not have looked good clearing out the room the way he had done. It would have probably invited some uproar throughout the city if he had told everyone to leave. He came outside and said to everyone that the outbursts needed to stop.

Funny, how he wants to bring back decorum to the Cudahy City Council meetings, when he and his corrupt puppets in crime keep pushing marijuana onto the city residents, and how they insist on spending money that the city does not have for projects that the city does not need.

I had prayed God for favor that all of us would get back into that city council meeting. And it worked out.

While walking back into the meeting, Nestor Valencia, one of the city councilmembers from Bell, gave me a high five. "Hi Arthur!" He said to me. At the time, I didn't know who he was. He then told me that he has listened to a lot of my stuff. "I see you all over the country!" he told me. He had to add that he did not agree with me, but I was glad that he greeted me.

"Hi Arthur!"

Once everyone settled back into the council chambers, more members of the community spoke out against the ongoing push for marijuana into the city. The city council, on its final day before the reoganization of the city council members, was determined to push through every marijuana ordinance possible. It's such a shame to see what is happening in that city.

Two elected officials want to stop the marijuana, and yet there is no majority that is interested in doing what is best for the city. It must be really frustrating for residents trying to make a difference, to make things better. People need to pay more attention to what is happening in their own cities. The vote, the outcomes should not be so arbitrary. It's untenable.

The came the moment I had come to see: out with the old, and in with the new:

It was really vindicating to see Jack Guerrero, who has done nothing wrong and has been outspoken on a host of issues which Cudahy residents care about, have his seat restored to him on the city council. He had been unlawfully removed from the city council, according to numerous reports. There he was, re-elected to another seat. Incredible.

And yet, who knows what is going to happen?

Then things really got heated at the end of the meeting.

The new city council, having installed Jose Gonzales to be the next mayor, was having a really difficult time of dealing with the new transition of power. It was pretty clear that Gonzales is taking all his orders from Chris Garcia, who is irrepressibly corrupt.

Elizabeth Alcantar is a swing vote on every issue. She refused to allow the mayor to adjourn the meeting. Jack Guerrero fought hard a number of times to seek a stay on a number of the items which had been rammed through at the last minute.

An ongoing dispute between the city attorney and Guerrero broke out, and then the city council went into recess for five minutes to figure out what to do.

Naui began wandering around the room, harassing and irritating others. He tried to start a fight with me, but I just showed up a picture of his brutal punishment after harassing women and children in 2006:

He was so incensed by it, he ripped it out of my hands!

Wow! It really set him off. No matter how many times he wants to repeat "criminal! criminal!" to me, their shame, their hatred remains unabated. They just can't wear me down!

The city council reconvened after the recess. The city attorney refused to recognize Councilman Guerrero's motions. It was really clear that the city council corruption was not going to get by as easily as it had done in the past.

Chris Garcia and the big money marijuana industry in the region had issued the most blistering attacks against Guerrero, and none of it worked. The previous, corrupt city council colluded against the law to have him removed from the council. He got re-elected in his own right notwithstanding. At this time, there is another person on the council who shares his concerns about issues, too.

Chris Garcia was clearly cajoling the newly-appointed mayor, who was going back and forth and had no idea what he was doing. He even adjourned the meeting without a vote from the council! The attorney told

Then things escalated from there.

Nazi Huitzilopochtli began hounding Jack Guerrero. Residents of the community have really grown tired of this guy. They saw him harassing other people in the audience. The sheriff's deputies stepped in and they arrested him!

It was a glorious sight! Indeed, it was quite a turnaround. JUSTICE!

Outside the city hall, I celebrated with other people from the city. Some of them even shouted "Viva Trump!"

I shouted back "Feliz Navidad!"

A few of the residents reached out to me afterwards, and they wanted my help with making things better in the city. I was really honored to be there. Some of the residents had greeted me inside, and others passed by and told me "Thank you for coming!"

There were so many Christmas presents--of a sort--that came out of this city council meeting, and I am really glad that I had come. I wasn't even sure I was going to bother coming. After I had arrived, I couldn't even find a parking spot the first time around! Then I came into the parking a lot a second time, and there was a spot for me right there!

Everything really worked out for me that night. I hope that things work out for the better for the residents and the new city council too:

1. Last minute spot opened up.
2. Bigot attacks me at the podium, and he gets shut down by the whole audience.
3. Three corrupt city councilmembers get tossed of the city council.
4. Two honest city councilmembers elected.
5. Naui gets arrested.

Who could ask for anything more during a Southeastern Los Angeles County City Council meeting?
