Chanukah's lesson about America in 2020

It's actually about fighting and winning a "culture" war against impossible odds.

History is full of seemingly hopeless situations that were overcome by people who refused to give up. If you do your part, God will do His.

Since the November elections we have never seen so much despondency and despair. We're hearing from so many people who say they are depressed, see no way out, and are just giving up.

And, yes, things are looking worse than ever before.

Radicals running state and local governments. Massive election fraud. The Constitution openly ignored. Businesses across America forced into bankruptcy by government edict. The courts ignoring the rule of law. People being fired from their jobs for having the wrong political opinions. Left-wing violence openly allowed, but pro-family protest suppressed. Antifa and Black Lives Matter mobs allowed to take over areas of cities. The media's aggressive jihad against the truth. The homosexual and transgender movements celebrated in federal agencies. Religious beliefs suppressed and even punished in businesses, government, and public schools. The massive deficit. The "opposition" Republican leadership in Congress with no backbone or will to fight back. The looming oppression of all conservatives. And on and on.

"It's finished. America's done. I'm giving up." We're hearing that everywhere. People are feeling beaten and completely powerless.

At MassResistance we refuse to see things that way. We must continue to resist these evils!

Chanukah — now more relevant than ever

Today is the 5th day of the 8-day Jewish holiday Chanukah. Most people (and sadly, most Jews) see Chanukah as sort of a Jewish version of Christmas. They don't really understand what it's about and what it teaches us. It celebrates something very important about man and God.

Chanukah is in fact relevant to what we're going through right now. It's about struggling against and ultimately winning — with God's help — a seemingly unwinnable culture war against oppressive government and institutions that are thoroughly dominated by pagan and godless forces determined to permanently change society.

Complete oppression

In the second century B.C., the powerful Syrian empire took over Israel. By around 170 B.C., they were ruthlessly forcing paganism and secularism on the country and banning traditional religious practice.

It got worse and worse. Pagan holidays, customs, and religious practices were harshly imposed on the citizens of Israel. Statues of pagan gods were erected throughout the country. People were required to bow down to idols and make sacrifices to them. If they refused, they were tortured and killed. Yet this aggression was supported by many Israelites who welcomed the “modern” changes. (Does this sound familiar?)

It came to a point where no public acknowledgement of God was allowed anywhere. Sabbath observance, study of the Bible, and other Jewish customs and rituals were completely banned. Bibles were destroyed where found.

Sadly, many Jews continued to embrace the pagan customs and willingly abandoned God. And most religious Jews simply complied and offered no resistance. (Does this sound familiar?) As a result, the anti-religious oppression continued unimpeded.

The battle

Finally, a small band of unyielding believers had had enough. Known as the Maccabees (from the Hebrew word for "hammer"), they revolted in their village and then fled into the hills. They formed a resistance movement, and gathered a guerrilla army to win back their country. Such a feat was considered impossible against the powerful Syrian empire controlling the country. But the Maccabees fought on.

They refused to give up. Their guerrilla encounters became bolder and bolder. Many Israelites joined them, resulting in incredible successes against the Syrian forces. It was shocking. They had victory after victory. Within three years, they drove out the Syrians and took back their country. With God's help, they finally won!

Chanukah means "dedication"

And they brought God back to Israel. Almost immediately, the Maccabees came into Jerusalem to clean out and re-purify the Great Temple, which had been turned into a pagan shrine where pigs were being sacrificed.

But as they re-dedicated the Temple, they found only a one-day supply of holy oil to light the sacred lamps. That one-day supply miraculously lasted eight days - until more holy oil could be made. From that miracle, an eight-day celebration of Chanukah (which means "dedication" in Hebrew) has continued ever since.

Fighting the culture war. Rabbi Moshe Lieberman lights Chanukah menorah on the public green in Newton, Mass., one of the most left-wing cities in the state, as members of his congregation look on.

Taking back your country

Thus, the holiday of Chanukah is actually about fighting and winning a war against oppressive and vicious state-forced paganism, and overcoming near-impossible odds.

This ought to be an annual lesson for us. Even though the forces ruling us want to drastically change society and replace God in our lives with the secular State and ever more ruthlessly impose Godless secularism on us throughout society, do not give up. The battle is not lost. Seemingly impossible circumstances can and will be overcome with God's help.

That is God’s message to all of us. But you must be willing to fight back. If the Maccabees hadn't stepped up, what would have happened?

Nothing is impossible

History is full of seemingly hopeless situations that were overcome by people who refused to give up. The American Revolution is a good example. And more recently, the world saw how a few revolts by determined people spread and ultimately brought down the vast Soviet empire, which at that time no one thought was possible.

But we must be willing to take action

Finally, we believe there's yet another message to Chanukah. You can't sit on the sidelines. It's necessary for people to leave their comfort zones and take action, if victory is to come.

Lately, many people have been saying that they've decided to fight this battle by just praying and fasting. Well, praying and fasting are good things. But the message of Chanukah is, that is not enough. People must join the fight.

It's the universal lesson about fighting against seemingly hopeless odds: If you do your part, God will do His.

Lindsey Graham Goes MAGA

Well, this was refreshing.

US Senator Lindsey Graham has been a thorn in the side for conservatives in general and Trump supporters in particular. He has advanced amnesty time and again, even though the US Senate has not managed to push one open border bill into the House of Representatives since the abortive Obamacare for Immigration Bills in 2013.

In spite of his opposition to the President during the 2016 Presidential Election, not to mention his attempts to dislodge his efforts during the primary, Graham has found reasons to praise President Trump and work with him to a greater degree.

The tax reform legislation has been a huge success for the country.

President Trump's surgical strikes in Syria has warned the world that the United States is reasserting its peace through strength presence in the world.

Lately, Graham has praised Trump for his efforts to denuclearize North Korea. The peace summits between the leaders of the two Koreas sparked great respect for President Trump around the world, and his growing admirers include GOP Establishment types who had butted heads with Trump in the past.

Graham was emphatic about his support for the President, and refuses to back away despite the media shaming which inevitably follows:

This break from his anti-Trump past is a welcome change, and it shows a breakdown in the former Graham-McCain alliance which looked for war behind every door and wanted to push Chamber of Commerce policies while ignoring the general interests of the American people.

The ailing senior US Senator from Arizona has tweeted criticisms and undermining asides against President Trump for the last six months. I wonder when he will start attacking his former colleague from South Carolina next?

The White House: We Will Liberate Our Country

Less than a month ago, President Donald J. Trump laid out a bold vision for defeating the opioid epidemic. In the weeks since, his Administration has taken further action to combat the crisis on all fronts:

• On March 23, President Trump signed the omnibus funding bill, providing about $4 billion for addiction treatment and prevention, drug courts, and other tools to combat the crisis.
• Last week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the results of the first operation led by the new Joint Criminal Opioid Darknet Enforcement (J-CODE) Team, which resulted in 8 arrests and the seizure of drugs and weapons.
• The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted a 45-day surge in February and March to investigate medical professionals who were prescribing disproportionately high numbers of opioids. The surge led to 28 arrests and 147 revoked medical registrations.

“Failure is not an option. Addiction is not our future,” President Trump says. “We will liberate our country from this crisis.”

Step 1 to better infrastructure: Stop Washington infighting Investing in a rebuild of America’s crumbling infrastructure is important, but President Trump knows funding will only help if we fix our country’s broken approval process. Inefficient environmental reviews have led to unnecessary delays, depriving our communities of needed projects.

Yesterday, President Trump gathered Federal agency leaders to sign the One Federal Decision Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), establishing a quicker process for environmental reviews of major infrastructure projects. Instead of expecting project sponsors to navigate multiple decision-making layers, one lead agency will be responsible for navigating each project through the entire process.

Previous interagency disputes sometimes remained unresolved for years. Americans deserve better than this Byzantine system. With yesterday’s MOU, President Trump is helping repair it.

President meets with military leaders 
Top U.S. defense and military leaders met with President Trump last night, joining the Commander in Chief for dinner and meeting beforehand to review progress in protecting America’s interests at home and abroad.

The President reiterated his commitment to rebuilding our Nation’s Armed Forces, including through the budget agreement he made with Congress that invests more than $1.4 trillion in defense over the next two years. This budget supports efforts to recover readiness, grow the force, buy more modern equipment, and give our troops a much deserved pay raise.

Yesterday, President Trump also addressed this weekend’s chemical weapons attack in Syria. “This is about humanity, we're talking about humanity, and it can't be allowed to happen," the President said. He reiterated that all options remain on the table for a U.S. response.

This is a segment from last year, when President Trump bombed an airfield in Syria to show some strength and independent force against the Russia-Iran phalanx drawing up power and influence in the region.

Lauren Steiner approached me to get my views on a number of issues. She tried to shame me, and I fought right back. She has appeared at other events throughout Los Angeles County, too, and we happen to agree on a few things.

Syria: The Middle East's Tire Yard Fire

Ever seen a tire fire?

They are a lingering yet cancerous domestic disaster. The rubber lasts for ages, keeping the fire alive far longer than any other substance. Tire fires threaten the quality of life—and life itself. The smoke from a pile of blazing tires can last for months. The haze pollutes the air, damages commerce, and endangers surrounding communities.

And lots of water won’t put them out right away.

In Southern California, we get heat and smoke advisories because of periodic inland fires.  At least this year, Governor Brown declared that emergency drought conditions are ending. There’s so much water in California now, even Los Angeles County does not register with drought conditions.

But tire yards set on fire are a fire-fighter’s nightmare, and sadly the are the first and sadly most accurate image that comes to mind when I think of the Syrian Civil war. For two years, this international conflagration has dominating the news and bloodshed in the Middle East (aside from ISIS).

For two years converging Islamic, Christian, and secular forces have been digging, shooting, fighting, throwing whatever they have at the other side. Oops. Major correction. This is not a civil war, as much as civil wars, and there are many sides to this multifaceted, complex conflict. And none of them are good guys to work with.

Bashar al-Assad, ophthalmologist-turned brutal dictator of Syria, is part of the Alawite tribe, which belongs to the predominantly minority Shi’ite sect of Islam. Iraq is a Shi’ite country, even though the former dictator Saddam Hussein was a  Sunni. Al-Qaeda belongs to the Sunni branch of Islam, too, and so does Saudi Arabia and the vast majority of Muslim countries around the world.

But remember that Al-Qaeda hates Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia is afraid of Iran. Iran, once under a more moderate dictatorship, is now run by radical ayatollahs building a nuclear weapon, and they waged an eight-year with Iraq during nearly the entire Reagan Administration. Then George W. Bush invaded Iraq, which established a somewhat stable democracy. That’s all but over since ISIS has overrun the region of Northern Iraq as well as Eastern Syria.

Then there are the Kurds, who are the most well-educated of the differing ethnic groups in the region. They loved President Bush. They want to establish their own country, but Turkey, once thought to be the most moderate and modern Islamic countries, won’t have it. Oh, and Turkey had its own military coup, with President Erdogan turning himself into a deity of the people, who are now dying to get out, too, while taking in hundreds of thousands of refugees from the Middle East … who in turn are invading Europe and waging jihad of the heart, mouth, and the hand, i.e. sword, gun, and even truck.

Which brings us back to Syria, the inferno of civil wars, with no good guys all fighting each other, and using weapons delivered by American troops in a conflict which has raged for two years. Oh, and let’s not forget the Christians, Jews, and Yazidis, another minority, a thankfully non-violent sect. The Christian groups in the region are a real head-scratcher. Some ethnic Christians actually ally with the Lebanon terrorist group Hezbollah! Some Christians in Syria love Israel, but hate the Israeli Prime minister. Other Christian groups hate Israel entirely. All Christians are victims of genocide at the hands of ISIS. And the Christians were safer under the cruel Assad regime, while Assad himself attacks his own people.

There are no Jews in Syria, of course, but one of the few books still for sale in any Damascus bookstore (if they are still open) is the Czarist anti-Semitic forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Oh, and ISIS is cutting off the heads of gays, Christians, or anyone else who does not submit to Sharia law.

The Syrian conflict is an international tire fire. No amount of “water” will put this fire out. Humanitarian aid? To whom? Send troops? Hell no! No one should allow our American blood into the guerrilla-style firing fray endemic to the region.

But does the United States just sit and shout “Burn, baby, burn”? If only Barack Obama had done that. Instead, he launched out into uncharted terror-tory, I mean territory—aside from everything and everyone on fire—and announced a red line” if Syria used chemical weapons against their own people.

Bashar al-Assad gassed his people, violated international law (as if we should care), and Obama did nothing.

Obama’s inaction followed an apology tour throughout the Middle East four years prior. Internal rebellions toppled stable yet corrupt and oppressive regimes through the Middle East and North Africa, and Islamic terrorist satellites swung into orbit around the upcoming ISIS death star.

Now comes the Trump Administration. The President decided to bomb the airfield where Assad released nerve gas, killing innocent civilians: red line crossed again. Instead of “hope and change” mantras, Trump launched 59 missiles.

Trump accomplished the following without killing anyone:

1. Demonstrated that the United States is not leading from behind.

2. Showed strength to shake up Islamic terrorists in the region.

3. Put Iran, Syria, Russia, and North Korea on notice that he is a man of his word, and of action.

4. Blew up the lie that he is a puppet of Russia.

5. Demonstrated soft power to curb the spread of the international fire in the Middle East from affecting the United States in the near future.

Am I worried about an escalation of American intervention?

The United States should refrain from this bloody Rubik’s-cube quagmire. But just like the inferno of a near-by tire factor, the residual damage of this military maelstrom is threatening us. In one tire fire, combatants squirted an extra blast of gasoline right in the middle of the blaze. The fire raged hotter, then burned out the rubber, killing the entire blaze. Perhaps Trump’s brief show of strength will have the same effect on the Syrian civil wars. 

Syrian Protest: How to Drive a Bernie-crat Journalist CRAZY!

A few news outlets joined us at the corner of Fifth and Hill Streets to hear our views on the Syria conflict and Donald Trump.

Then this reporter approached me for my views on key issues and the President.

She did not hide that she was a hardcore Bernie supporter, and that she hated Barack Obama as much as she hated Donald Trump.

Yes indeed.

In this clip, she mocked me because I was defending Trump and not afraid to slam or shame people who maligned the President:

She kept attacking me personally, and I forced her to concede that her remarks about me were offensive.

She actually apologized to me for claiming that I idolized Trump!

She was not prepared for me to whip out my camera phone and start recording her, either.

Conservatives should not refrain from holding media personalities and journalists accountable.

Then she went off on Merrick Garland, and Barack Obama's decision to nominate him.

In the second part of this interview, she spent more time talking than listening.

I called her out on her monologue, then I plead for her to let me speak.

Since trying to work with liberals, let alone talking with them, I have noticed how they like to change the subject and bounce around from issues.

She wanted to go off on corporate influence in Congress--understandable--but she had asked me about the filibuster rule in the US Senate and the 2/3 majority needed to remove a federal official to be removed from office.

When I went after Bernie Sanders, then exposed that he was a socialist who believed in redistribution of wealth, she ended the interview.

She would then complain that there was no talking to me, and that I had to concede on issues.

Since when do individuals have to "concede" on issues in order to have a civil conversation?

At least she let me speak towards the end, but it's getting more fun to undermine reporters and interviews who want to push a narrative rather than listen to their guests.

Syria Protest: Anti-Semitism on the RISE in Downtown LA

At the Syria protests in Downtown LA last week, I could not believe the rising anti-Semitism I heard from anti-Trump protesters.

Abby of the Women's March told me that she received three anti-Semitic remarks during her time with us!

Then this guy went off on Jewish people and claimed that they had concocted the fight in Syria:

This is really creepy.

This rising anti-Semitism is the legacy of Barack Obama's weak, pro-Muslim foreign and domestic policy.

On my YouTube channel and on my Twitter feed, I have received unprecedented number of anti-Semitic, Jew-hatred comments.

It's creepy, it's scary.

What is going on in this country?

Bernie Supporter Joins LA for Trump Over Trump's Military Action in Syria

 Besides Abby, another young Bernie supporter joined LA for Trump because of the President's precise military action in Syria.

He was not afraid to stand with Trump supporters, even though a horde of raging leftists assembled on the corner to rally against President Trump.

For some of the Bernie supporters, humanitarian interventions are acceptable, no matter which President orders to strike.

Here's what he wrote on his poster:

Bernie and Trump supporters do agree on a few things:

1. We oppose government corruption

2. We reject corporate welfare

3. We wanted the TPP to be scrapped

4. And now we have common ground on Trump's selected action in Syria

Women's March Member Joins LA for Trump to Support President's Syrian Action!

Los Angeles for Trump was ready to meet the left-wing anti-Trump protesters once again.

Let's face it:

These left-wing adult temper tantrums will erupt every time Trump does anything. If he decided to hand out $1,000 to every American just because he could, the Bernie-crats and Communists in our midst would still complain because he did not hand out $2,000 or more.

He is still "The Rich", after all, and therefore the enemy.

Give me a break.

Faris worked really hard to put together this event, since Trump's military actions were last minute, coming Thursday night.

But we were ready to show our support for President Trump.

And not only us, but even some Bernie supporters joined OUR side to show their appreciate for Trump's military action.

But she was more than happy to stand with Trump supporters because she supported the President's decision to bomb the airfield in Syria.

Strange to some eyes, yet true, Abby was holding up a picture of one tweet from @realDonaald Trump. While most liberals have used Trump's previous tweets to attack his record and rhetoric, here's a liberal who reached into his past social media profile to find a statement which resonated with her humanitarian views!

It was great to have her on our side, as I almost feared that she was there to protest us!
