The Sh*thole Press and Election 2018

With so much good news,  Republicans should be in good shape for Election 2018.

Despite an unsettling special election loss last month, the GOP relished an epic tax reform victory and gave everyone, including the Republican Congress and President, a much-needed Christmas gift. The new year is ushering in glad tidings because of that legislative victory. Businesses small and large are handing out bonuses and pay raises. The individual mandate in Obamacare is gone. The federal government is cracking down on illegal immigration, child abuse, and gang violence like never before. The DHS Secretary is striking out against sanctuary cities, AG Jeff Sessions is kicking butt. ISIS is defeated. The stock market is hitting 26,000—1,000 points up in one week! This rally is benefiting everyone, not just the politically-connected cronies of the Obama Administration. Black unemployment is at its the lowest level ever, along with Hispanic unemployment. Businesses are expanding even in blue states.

And yet …

Democrats are romping in special state and local elections right now. Republican Congressmen are retiring in record numbers, not only because of #MeToo allegations. Despite so much winning, Republicans seem to be losing. A negative ambiance is hurting the GOP for Election 2018, with Democrats currently enjoying a 10-point net favorable rating to win seats. Although those numbers are down from a net +16 rating, why are voters favoring Democrats who waged so much damage under Barack Obama? Democrats are energized, and Republican voters are less than enthusiastic about their party, but why?

The corrupt media has gone into overdrive attack mode, savaging Republicans and hiding their victories. It’s taking a toll on the GOP conference, relentlessly battering the president’s image, dragging down the national ticket. This negative ambiance is manifestly unfair, based on untrue reports: Trump Derangement Syndrome on steroids. Yesterday, CNN’s obsessed over President Trump’s press conference following his health evaluation. Trump passed every metric with flying colors, even though the mainstream media lambasted his cognitive capacities for a week straight. Nothing will happen, and no reporters will lose their jobs.

The press fawns over incidental failures or flubs, then whines about their battle between the excellent Press Secretary Sarah Sanders than the manifold accomplishments of this Presidency. The press lashed out at Trump for eating only two flavors of Starbursts. They have printed another set of baseless allegations of sexual misconduct against the President—although nothing backs it up. Michael Wolff’s coffee table book full of misspelled words, distortions, and outright lies dominated the airwaves. All this time, the President has to contend on his own with the contemptible, tabloid-like media. Add to this corruption the back-stabbing comments of NeverTrumpers like Jeff Flake, who shamefully compared the President to Communist megalomaniac Joseph Stalin, a threat to free speech and a free society.

Is it any surprise that a general dour outlook is overshadowing the GOP right now?

One incident particularly represents the corrupt media’s inordinate, still lingering impact on the President and the GOP Congress: the dubious report that Trump had called third world nations “shithole countries” in a discussion with US Senators over a final immigration deal. This unsubstantiated report started with Illinois US Senator Dick Durbin, who has a long history of lying about private meetings, and himself represents a shithole state on the verge of bankruptcy.

Whether these statements are true or not, the race card which followed has perpetrated considerable damage, taking up national press space and talking heads’ hateful banter. It’s unbelievable. I hate it, and it’s hurting our country. The fight is real, folks, and we cannot expect Trump to fight the press on his own. Trump defeated the media at their own game in 2016. Sadly, party officials seem to think that because Trump body-slammed the press for his election, everyone else will survive. Legislators state and federal cannot depend on Trump’s populist charisma alone. The RNC has fundraised record amounts of money of Trump’s winning streaks, but all that cash can’t win elections on its own. Just ask Crooked Hillary. Wisconsin Republicans just lost a state senate seat that went by double digits for Romney and Trump. The response from the Wisconsin GOP: “Help us fight back and forge ahead with aggressive efforts to show voters just how far we have come thanks to conservative reforms.”

Voters simply don’t know the good which Republicans governance has accomplished. How bad is the silence on Trump’s victories? It’s feeding doubt into his supporters, diminishing their enthusiasm to turn out the vote. One hard-core Trump supporter, with strong connections to black communities, told me that Trump was selling out on DACA. She cited an article about the corrupt San Francisco Federal district court striking down the President’s rescission of DACA. I then showed her that the Department of Justice filed a fastrack appeal on the case to the United States Supreme Court. She sent out a revised eblast, but her reaction to the mainstream media demonstrates the larger problem.

Recently, I met an immigrant from Thailand. He voted for Trump, and loves Trump’s hardline stance on illegal immigration. He called me two days ago, with a concern: “President Trump campaigned to get rid of illegals, but I don’t see anything happening.” How could he not know? Reporters in center-right news outlets like The Daily Signal, Breitbart, and especially Townhall.com have documented the record deportations which have occurred. The Southern California press, however, has printed more sob stories about “immigrants” separated from their families and deported to their legal home countries. Other reports about ICE crackdowns on major businesses as well as immigration sweeps have appeared in the press, but they don’t get the same kind of attention.


President Trump was right about the Fake News Media. It’s hurting our country, and if left unchecked, the shithole press will take down Republican chances and slow down the reforms which President Trump campaigned on and is bringing to pass. The corrupt information gap from the shithole press is real, and we need to fight it!

Mission Accomplished: Trump Bombing the Hell out of ISIS!

Everyone rejoice!

President Trump has followed through on another major campaign promise.

He said that he would bomb the hell out of ISIS.

His military efforts have met that promise and so much more.

The ISIS Terrorist state has fallen apart.

Raqqa has been retaken, and now the wannabe Islamic Militant hate-filled nation-state of destruction is GONE!

Of course, the media will relate nothing about this epic victory for our country and our armed forces. The defeat of this Islamic radical group will ease the immigration crises in Europe (hopefully), and will embolden leaders throughout Europe to secure their nations' borders and protect their own citizenry.

In a different time the collapse of ISIS resistance in Raqqa would be a headline-dominating occasion for national celebration. While the war continues, and ISIS still exists, the loss of its capital marks an unmistakable, undeniable reversal for the caliphate. Today is a good day, and members of both our political parties can and should take credit for victory.

Why isn't the fall of the ISIS Capital in the headlines?

The press hates the President, and cannot allow him to bask in any successes. Moreover, they cannot cover for President Barack Obama, who created ISIS by drawing out American troops from Iraq. The Middle East wouldn't be a tire fire of ethnic strife and sectarian genocide if not for the cowardice of Barack Obama.

When does this hatred stop? When will the media start treating our military and armed personnel with the respect that they deserve.

President Trump is making America Safe Again, and that means standing up to Islamic terrorism here and around the world.

'Not Funny' Griffin Gets Trumped (And It Is Spectacular!)

It wasn’t always bad for her. She was a D-list self-parody. Sorry if I repeated myself. Liberals in general have become laughingstocks wherever they protest. La Raza Nativists who denounce me because I’m white then tell me “There’s no such thing as reverse racism.” The climate alarmists have gone into orbit over Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement. Really? Yes, they think the world is going to end, when in reality this pull-out is good news for America and for the world. If the Australian government could call out climate alarmism for what it is—horse hockey—so can we.

But back to Kathy Griffin. Decades ago, Griffin actually was funny. When she spent more time mocking herself and her small-time status, she was actually pretty amusing.

Cue Seinfeld. Ding Diggie Doom Doo! “Jerry! Jerry!”

In one episode, “The Doll”, Griffin—playing Sally Weaver, a friend of George’s long-time girlfriend who dies from licking envelopes--throws off Jerry’s comedy routine. The comedian wanted to do a bit on this creepy doll that looks just like George Costanza’s wizened, nagging mother. Of course, Griffin brings him an Italian chef doll instead. About the other doll, Weaver says “Not funny!” In another episode, Griffin brings other dolls to her own comedy routine, complete with irate messages left by Jerry Seinfeld. She plays to packed houses, while Jerry gets routinely mocked just for sitting in the audience.

A small-time character actress playing quirky bit parts, Griffin found her niche. She should have stuck with that shtick. After all, when Saturday night comedy shows make fun of you for being famous—because you’re not famous—you know you have your low. In 2007, Ms. D-List actually won an award: the D-List of awards, the Daytime Emmy. She won something by making fun of herself. But she went full self-righteous narcissist. “Jesus had nothing to do with this! Suck it Jesus, this award is my God now!” That wasn’t funny. She lost her “persona” right there. Not only that, but what she took pride in, did not merit such haughty self-promotion.

At that point, Griffin wasn’t funny anymore. She sounded tired and bitter. Perhaps she should have done stand-up focusing on why they don’t call Ovaltine “Round-tine”. After all, the cup's round, the container is round … (hat tip once again, Jerry!) Her bitterness overtook her humor within a few short years. To get back into the limelight, riding the Coastal liberal hatred of Donald Trump, Griffin posted a photo shoot with a severed head of Trump, as she stood with a blank look on her face in a plain blue dress.

The outrage was palpable. In fact, such a gruesome scene should make no one laugh.

Sorry, Kathy: Not funny!

Putting aside the moral opprobrium, why was this shocking photo shoot a dud?

1. The whole scene is based on the totalitarian Islamic regime’s methods for the execution of Christians, Yazidis, and Muslims. Such subject matter is not funny—unless a comedian is mocking the Satanic malefactors. I don’t recall comedians making jokes about Nazis killing innocent Americans during World War II.

Jerry Lewis did produce a film “The Day the Clown Cried.” The main character humors kids to enter the gas chambers. Not funny, in bad taste. To his credit, Lewis insisted that the film not be released in his lifetime. Good comedians (not Griffin)(know when) they’ve crossed the line. when they fail, they admit overstepping the lines of decency and make amends as best as they can.

2. By releasing the picture of a bloody head representing the President, Griffin skirted, if not crossed, the fine line of the First Amendment. Did she want to incite violence? Does she want people to kill the President? The fact that ethical questions come into play sucks away all the humor.

3. The American people like Trump. Comedians depends on them for laughs. Attacking their values will not win you laughs or followers. Wanda Sykes learned that lesson the hard way in Boston: don’t blast President Trump with unjustified hate—or with tired unfunny tirades. “Slaughtering” the president in such hideous fashion is a direct affront to the millions of voters who wanted him to clean up Obama’s mess.

4. Her wicked picture gave First Son Barron Trump nightmares. Torturing kids is not funny. Period.

Now the good news: the consequences for Griffin’s unfunny faux pas were immediate. CNN fired her from the upcoming New YEar's Eve special with Anderson Cooper. CNN got it half-right. They should have fired Cooper, too, since he peddles fake news with his own sick veneer of vulgar humor. Griffin’s crappy photo-shoot flushed her deal with Squatty Potty, too. Who would have thought this D-List comedian would lose the potty contracts for something else besides her potty mouth.

Griffin was overwhelmed by all this bad press. Friday morning, Griffin hosted a press conference and admitted that she was wrong. “I went too far. I’m so sorry.” And the Oscar goes to … not her. 

Another shoddy performance, as she turned around and blamed Trump and his family for costing her contacts and her career.

Not funny, Kathy, and not true either.

She knew what she was doing from set up to photo shoot to distribution. She wants the President dead. Her lack of talent and common decency is costing her, as it should. The Hollywood, Crony-Washington Left cannot believe this is real: there are consequences for hateful, abusive actions.

God bless President Trump for having the courage to call out Griffin’s tasteless attack. His very presence in the White House has triggered these hateful leftists so badly, that now they are killing themselves off. Our President: he never stops fighting for us.

“He broke me!” she whines. Now that is funny! It’s gold, Griffin, solid gold! I’m so glad that these hateful, unfunny comics are getting theirs. Kathy, your downfall is real, and it is spectacular!

Syria: The Middle East's Tire Yard Fire

Ever seen a tire fire?

They are a lingering yet cancerous domestic disaster. The rubber lasts for ages, keeping the fire alive far longer than any other substance. Tire fires threaten the quality of life—and life itself. The smoke from a pile of blazing tires can last for months. The haze pollutes the air, damages commerce, and endangers surrounding communities.

And lots of water won’t put them out right away.

In Southern California, we get heat and smoke advisories because of periodic inland fires.  At least this year, Governor Brown declared that emergency drought conditions are ending. There’s so much water in California now, even Los Angeles County does not register with drought conditions.

But tire yards set on fire are a fire-fighter’s nightmare, and sadly the are the first and sadly most accurate image that comes to mind when I think of the Syrian Civil war. For two years, this international conflagration has dominating the news and bloodshed in the Middle East (aside from ISIS).

For two years converging Islamic, Christian, and secular forces have been digging, shooting, fighting, throwing whatever they have at the other side. Oops. Major correction. This is not a civil war, as much as civil wars, and there are many sides to this multifaceted, complex conflict. And none of them are good guys to work with.

Bashar al-Assad, ophthalmologist-turned brutal dictator of Syria, is part of the Alawite tribe, which belongs to the predominantly minority Shi’ite sect of Islam. Iraq is a Shi’ite country, even though the former dictator Saddam Hussein was a  Sunni. Al-Qaeda belongs to the Sunni branch of Islam, too, and so does Saudi Arabia and the vast majority of Muslim countries around the world.

But remember that Al-Qaeda hates Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia is afraid of Iran. Iran, once under a more moderate dictatorship, is now run by radical ayatollahs building a nuclear weapon, and they waged an eight-year with Iraq during nearly the entire Reagan Administration. Then George W. Bush invaded Iraq, which established a somewhat stable democracy. That’s all but over since ISIS has overrun the region of Northern Iraq as well as Eastern Syria.

Then there are the Kurds, who are the most well-educated of the differing ethnic groups in the region. They loved President Bush. They want to establish their own country, but Turkey, once thought to be the most moderate and modern Islamic countries, won’t have it. Oh, and Turkey had its own military coup, with President Erdogan turning himself into a deity of the people, who are now dying to get out, too, while taking in hundreds of thousands of refugees from the Middle East … who in turn are invading Europe and waging jihad of the heart, mouth, and the hand, i.e. sword, gun, and even truck.

Which brings us back to Syria, the inferno of civil wars, with no good guys all fighting each other, and using weapons delivered by American troops in a conflict which has raged for two years. Oh, and let’s not forget the Christians, Jews, and Yazidis, another minority, a thankfully non-violent sect. The Christian groups in the region are a real head-scratcher. Some ethnic Christians actually ally with the Lebanon terrorist group Hezbollah! Some Christians in Syria love Israel, but hate the Israeli Prime minister. Other Christian groups hate Israel entirely. All Christians are victims of genocide at the hands of ISIS. And the Christians were safer under the cruel Assad regime, while Assad himself attacks his own people.

There are no Jews in Syria, of course, but one of the few books still for sale in any Damascus bookstore (if they are still open) is the Czarist anti-Semitic forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Oh, and ISIS is cutting off the heads of gays, Christians, or anyone else who does not submit to Sharia law.

The Syrian conflict is an international tire fire. No amount of “water” will put this fire out. Humanitarian aid? To whom? Send troops? Hell no! No one should allow our American blood into the guerrilla-style firing fray endemic to the region.

But does the United States just sit and shout “Burn, baby, burn”? If only Barack Obama had done that. Instead, he launched out into uncharted terror-tory, I mean territory—aside from everything and everyone on fire—and announced a red line” if Syria used chemical weapons against their own people.

Bashar al-Assad gassed his people, violated international law (as if we should care), and Obama did nothing.

Obama’s inaction followed an apology tour throughout the Middle East four years prior. Internal rebellions toppled stable yet corrupt and oppressive regimes through the Middle East and North Africa, and Islamic terrorist satellites swung into orbit around the upcoming ISIS death star.

Now comes the Trump Administration. The President decided to bomb the airfield where Assad released nerve gas, killing innocent civilians: red line crossed again. Instead of “hope and change” mantras, Trump launched 59 missiles.

Trump accomplished the following without killing anyone:

1. Demonstrated that the United States is not leading from behind.

2. Showed strength to shake up Islamic terrorists in the region.

3. Put Iran, Syria, Russia, and North Korea on notice that he is a man of his word, and of action.

4. Blew up the lie that he is a puppet of Russia.

5. Demonstrated soft power to curb the spread of the international fire in the Middle East from affecting the United States in the near future.

Am I worried about an escalation of American intervention?

The United States should refrain from this bloody Rubik’s-cube quagmire. But just like the inferno of a near-by tire factor, the residual damage of this military maelstrom is threatening us. In one tire fire, combatants squirted an extra blast of gasoline right in the middle of the blaze. The fire raged hotter, then burned out the rubber, killing the entire blaze. Perhaps Trump’s brief show of strength will have the same effect on the Syrian civil wars. 

U.S. Senator Mark Kirk On Protecting Christians Around the World

This is a surprising turn.

U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL), is the most endangered incumbent in this election cycle.

He faces a strong headwind from the Presidential Election.

The Democratic machine is running full force in Illinois.

Kirk is a Republican, although he votes liberal on contentious issues, and has continued to buck the Republican Party on key appointments as well as the Supreme Court vacancy following Scalia's tragic death.

For this election cycle, Kirk is hugging center-left positions for the past six months.

He will not endorse Donald Trump for President. He has openly repudiated the Top Ticket candidate.

Kirk will most certainly avoid attending the RNC Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

He is pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage.

When the conservatives manifest muscle in the U.S. Senate, he often sides with the liberals.

His challenger is another veteran, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth, who defeated out-spoken Tea Party conservative Joe Walsh.

Two vets challenging each other on who can provide better services for veterans and poor, urban communities will prove every interesting.

So far, Kirk has hammered Duckworth on her blind allegiance to bringing in unvetted Syrian refugees.

Her poor leadership as a VA administrator may haunt her, but not daunt her bid for the U.S. Senate.

Kirk is stressing his national security bonafides, too.

His latest eblast hallmarks his dedication to devastated Christian communities in the Middle East.

Dear Friend,

Christian communities in northern Iraq have been devastated by violence from ISIS and other radical extremists. I am often stirred by firsthand accounts of the horrors faced by this community and other religious minorities in Iraq and Syria.

Someone in the U.S. Senate cares about the Christians in the Middle East.

I do appreciate that he cares about this global crisis.

Kirk's voting record has not aligned well with conservative, Christian principles, but at least he is making better efforts toward doing what is better for the world at large.

As a result of my deep concern for these vulnerable religious and ethnic minorities, I successfully advocated for programs to assist vulnerable Iraqi ethnic and religious minorities in this year’s Department of State and Foreign Operations appropriations bill.

OK. I hope that our government does not lose focus on doing what is best for Americans.

Christian Assyrians in northern Iraq have lived in the Nineveh Plains for thousands of years. They deserve to live in peace and security on the land that they’ve cultivated for generations. Christian Assyrians have been our friends in the fight against ISIS and we must honor this relationship. That’s why I required the State Department to report on progress toward the creation of the Nineveh Plains province and formulate a strategy to provide critical military aid to these vulnerable minority groups.

A diverse number of peace-loving ethnic communities need support in the region. We should not neglect focusing on a proper partition of Ira to reflect ethnic distinctions.

These steps are designed to follow through on our commitments to these vulnerable Christians and the protection of religious freedoms around the world. Despite the unimaginable suffering at the hands of ISIS, these communities display inspiring resolve to protect their ancestral lands. In the face of genocide, I am committed to support and protect victimized communities like the Christians of northern Iraq.

Protecting religious freedoms around the world--who would have thought that Freedom of Conscience would face so many despicable attacks? 

Not just in the Middle East.

Not just in Russia.

But even here in the United States!

Final Reflection

Mark Kirk has to strive for as much of a center-right coalition to stay competitive in the race.

He defeated a broken, conflicted Democratic challenger in 2010.

The Tea Party wave, which started in the Chicago stock exchange, definitely swept him into office,

He stressed attention to fiscal discipline. He has wanted to carve out a socially liberal agenda in Illinois politics, too. Bruce Rauner won the governorship in part because of his connections with Kirk.

Christians do need protection, but not just around the world.

Here in the United States, Christians are getting sued, forced out of business, losing their jobs, or facing heavy fines because they adhere to their Biblical views.

Hopefully, Kirk will reach out and ensure the rights and needs of all Americans.
