Hey, everyone!

Outside the Texas State Capitol in 2021. For years MassResistance pressured Texas legislators to move forward on parents' rights. They kept stalling. It finally came to fruition last year.Texas is boldly leading the way and doing the right thing.
In Part 8 we described the legal threats used by the LGBT movement to keep GSA clubs (“Gay Straight Alliance” or “Genders and Sexualities Alliance”) from being blocked in schools. In particular, they invoke the federal Equal Access Act (which we debunked in Part 7).
As a result, state legislatures, local governments, and school districts have been afraid to prohibit GSAs.
But the Texas legislature has now passed a law that outright bans GSAs. And the state is aggressively fighting the LGBT movement’s court challenge in three school districts. (Texas has over 1,200 school districts.)
On June 20, 2025, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed bill SB 12 into law. It is a comprehensive bill that enacts a bold list of parents’ rights mandates, as well as new reporting requirements, certifications, and directives for all Texas schools.
When it went into effect on September 1, 2025, it gave the Left nightmares.
The major parts of SB 12 include:
To avoid state compliance penalties or loss of funding, school districts across Texas quickly got to work to follow the law.
Regarding the GSA prohibition, school boards and administrators across Texas moved to formally disband, derecognize, or deny facilities to GSAs, Pride clubs, and similar student organizations.
In many communities, former GSA student leaders shifted their meetings off-campus to local community centers, libraries, or online platforms to maintain support networks outside of the school’s jurisdiction. But that means the clubs are now less influential or effective than when they were official groups inside the schools.
In addition, districts across Texas created a new administrative infrastructure, requiring all students to submit signed parental consent forms before joining any extracurricular club (chess club, robotics, debate, etc.).
A few days before the law took effect, a coalition of radical groups filed a federal lawsuit, GSA Network v. Mormath, in the U.S. District Court. The plaintiffs included: GSA Network, Transgender Law Center, ACLU of Texas, Texas American Federation of Teachers, and some individual students and teachers.
Pushing the agenda. ACLU Texas staff at LGBTQ Pride event. Note their signs: "Pride is still protest." [Photo by aclutx.org]The plaintiffs’ legal standing allows the lawsuit to apply to only three school districts: Houston ISD, Katy ISD, and Plano ISD.
The lawsuit challenges four parts of SB 12:
(Interestingly, the lawsuit challenges the GSA ban, but it does not challenge the requirement for written parental permission for a student to join any authorized school club. That’s likely something they don’t think they can win.)
What is the basis for their legal challenge? In GSA Network v. Mormath, they use the same basic hackneyed legal arguments that we’ve seen them use everywhere for these kinds of cases.
In a normal courtroom (i.e., with an unbiased judge) with aggressive and knowledgeable lawyers defending the case, this would be a very difficult lawsuit to win.
The plaintiffs asked for an immediate injunction for the three districts against implementing the challenged sections of SB 12 (including the GSA club ban) while the lawsuit is litigated.
In an upsetting development, the three named school districts declined to defend against the lawsuit. Instead, they filed brief responses taking "no position," which the court treated as a procedural waiver under party-presentation principles. This is not surprising. Those districts likely have leftist school boards and public attorneys who don’t oppose the LGBT agenda in their schools.
Thus, since the injunction request was unopposed, on February 20, 2026, U.S. District Judge Charles R. Eskridge (a Trump appointee) granted the plaintiffs' motion for a preliminary injunction. The injunction is limited to those three districts; it is not statewide.
In April, 2026, the Texas Attorney General filed a formal motion to intervene to represent the State of Texas's sovereign interest in defending Senate Bill 12 in the lawsuit. The motion was approved. The AG’s office is now actively leading the defense of the law on the merits as the case proceeds through discovery toward trial. The litigation could potentially continue for years.
The Texas AG has also filed appeal of the preliminary injunction before the U.S. Court of Appeals. Specifically, The AG petitioned the appeals court for an expedited stay of the preliminary injunction pending appeal, arguing that the State of Texas suffers an irreparable constitutional injury whenever a state statute is enjoined by a federal court, regardless of whether local school districts declined to defend it. At this point, the appeals court has not issued a ruling or granted a stay on the preliminary injunction.
Texas is now the only state where GSAs are legally banned from all public schools and charter schools. And to our knowledge, the state intends to be aggressive about enforcing that – with financial and other penalties for districts in violation.
Texas has proven that bold, sane action is possible. Now the rest of the country should follow. Truly, it’s not too difficult; the LGBT movement’s legal threats are paper tigers.
Until only very recently in our country’s history, the idea of a club for children in public schools that promotes and normalizes homosexuality (or transgenderism, BDSM, etc.) would have been considered unspeakable. The fact that now a state law must be passed to get them out of schools is a terrible reflection of today’s society.
We hope our GSA report series helps laws like Texas’s SB 12 to get passed in more states. It’s time for good people to stand strong!
Please help us continue to do our uncompromising work!

At left, "Mr. LA Pride" waves to onlookers. The Los Angeles Electricians Union supports this and participates. [All photos by MassResistance.]“Gay pride” month is finally over.
It’s disturbing and a bit frightening that so many “legitimate” entities still publicly participate in “gay pride” parades. MassResistance went to Los Angeles to see this firsthand. Numerous government agencies, politicians, unions, and American corporations took part in the event.
“Gay pride” month – and particularly its gross and offensive parades in cities across the country – is clearly losing acceptance (if it ever really had it) among average Americans. This year, numerous gay pride events have been cancelled for lack of financial support, though they still manage to thrive in big cities where there is more support available.
The Los Angeles Gay Pride event on June 14 was like those in Boston, New York, Chicago, and other big cities. It included a parade through the city and a “festival” with booths.
Here’s some of what we saw that day:
“Gay” has always been a front for a range of weird sexual behaviors and dysfunction. The propaganda machine in the media and elsewhere hides this very well. But at “gay pride” parades, the true nature of “LGBT” comes out from the shadows.
What would a "gay pride" parade be without a contingent of BDSM (bondage, dominance, sadism, and masochism) marchers along with their BDSM flag?
There were lots of "transgender" marchers, even men with beards dressed as women.
This contingent included a giant penis. These seem to show up a lot at "gay pride" parades.
An advertisement for naked gay massage on one of the floats.
Promoting the "rights" of children to be given puberty blockers.
This float advertised "LA's Best Transgender Events."
Virtually every "gay pride" event has several booths like this to help attendees avoid sexually transmitted diseases. In a healthy society, one would expect these groups and individuals to be promoting wholesome community values and opposing unhealthy, destructive, and morally loathsome behaviors.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power had a float with this banner. Who would have thought even they would be in this?
The Police Department painted its cars for "gay pride."
The Los Angeles Fire Department supported the parade.
The Teamsters Union float.
The Los Angeles Teachers Union float. Note the "trans rights - labor rights" and "protect LGBT workers" messages. These messages are obviously being taught in the Los Angeles public schools..
The SEIU (Service Employees International Union) float.
The L.A. Public Defenders have a "gay pride" parade float. This obvious bias should disqualify them in any normal setting. Imagine if an outspoken conservative needed a public defender in Los Angeles!

Though they're closing hundreds of their stores, Starbucks seems to always have extra money to support "gay pride."
The Delta Air Lines booth.
The CocaCola booth was more extravagant than most.
The local ABC-TV affiliate doesn't bother to hide its bias.

Hilda Solis is running for re-election to the L.A. County Board of Supervisors.
David Vela is running for re-election to the L.A. County School Board (known as the"Board of Trustees").
Two candidates for the State Assembly - different districts - advertising in the L.A. "gay pride" parade. The massive private foundation funding for the radical LGBT agenda gives it a huge advantage. Support by big corporations helps push it into the workplace and the public sphere. The mainstream media and entertainment industry collude, forcing it into everyone’s faces.
But the truth is that without the force of government, the LGBT presence would be a fraction of what it is. Vicious and oppressive non-discrimination laws covering homosexual and transgender behavior have forced acceptance into everybody’s lives. Following that have come laws mandating teaching LGBT “rights” and sexuality in the schools, inclusion in teachers’ certification, and state regulations for adoption and children’s services departments.
MassResistance has been working with state legislators and city councils across the country to repeal these venomous non-discrimination laws. And we are making progress. (We’ve already reported on our success getting gay flags effectively banned from government buildings, which is related to this.)
We’ve also been helping individuals do great things to fight back in their communities. One person can complain to the police about participating in “gay pride.” One person can make the local library stop its “pride” displays. One person can derail a “pride proclamation” in his town.
Action taken by individuals can make a big difference. And the trickle-down effect will mean fewer governments supporting any part of the LGBT agenda. Let’s all help make this happen!
Please help us continue to do our uncompromising work!
Our successes depend on people like you.

I received another tip from a Torrance Unified Parent last week:
Hi! Back-to-school night at South High last week was once again another LGBTQ nightmare.
This is the South High's drama teacher's classroom with the larger than life flag, and the Transgender girl with a mustache is promoting the school's controversial play, “Twelfth Night”, also promoting homosexual ways… can you please publish this again, letting parents know this is still happening?
Why is a teacher pushing "LGBT" instead of the American Flag? Nicole Parsons should be teaching drama, not trauma.
| Nicole Parsons |
And there's more at South High:
Other classrooms have this sticker on the outside of their
classroom windows and plenty more rainbow flags than American flags.
If this is the psychology teacher, then the psychology profession is doomed. The last person who should be teaching psychology anything is a creepy adult wanting to normalize homosexuality and transgenderism in children.
Since when did Torrance parents begin tolerating any of this?!
LGBT is not about "Safe Space" anything.
There is nothing safe about inducing, or rather seducing, children into unsafe practices, all under the dishonest guise of civil rights.
What is going on in Torrance Unified?
Teachers are supposed to teach, not indoctrinate or abuse kids.
Anyone who promotes LGBT to kids is abusing kids. All this talk about "being an ally" or "protecting the LGBT community" is really about a bunch of sick adults who want to play white knight, against like agents for some kind of civil rights movement, when in reality they are hurting kids, pushing lies, and undermining parents.
Please report these teachers to the Torrance Unified School Board, and demand:
1. The teachers take down their LGBT propaganda.
2. Direct the administrators to review their lesson plans and programs.
3. Write up the teachers and place them on leave for violating President Trump's executive orders regarding bans on gender indoctrination in the classroom.
4. Call for their firings of these teachers. Any adult who thinks that pushing LGBT on kids is normal has no business being around children.

We need to start a revolution in every school district!
This is an example of what the special interests and teachers' unions have brought into schools across the country - replacing real civics and academics.Public school enrollment across the country is going down. Families are leaving their local schools. By the thousands, they’ve had enough. They are paying to send their children to private schools or they are taking on the burdens of homeschooling.
It’s not hard to see why. By virtually every measure, public school education in America is worse than ever before in history. High percentages of children in every grade are reading below their expected grade point level. They can’t do complex (or even easy) math problems. Their knowledge of civics, American government, and history is abysmal. They can’t write coherent paragraphs.
As a result, when students graduate, their reading levels, critical thinking ability, and general knowledge are far below even that of a few decades ago. Most colleges must now require remedial classes in basic subjects for students to simply catch up. Even Stanford, Harvard, and MIT are offering remedial math classes.
But there are some things that the public schools seem to excel at. Most parents are just becoming aware of how thoroughly dominated their schools are by leftist ideology, radical indoctrination, and other toxic non-academic materials and activities. Homosexuality, secret transgender grooming, gender ideology, Planned Parenthood-style sex-ed, pornographic books, anti-Americanism, and far-left political fads (anti-Semitism, “climate change,” etc.) have become standard fare. LGBT “GSA” clubs are in most high schools and many middle schools. There is even a push to start “rainbow clubs” in elementary schools!
Students go through school embracing a range of destructive ideas. And their mental health issues have skyrocketed.
Not surprisingly, good teachers are also leaving the schools. They’ve had enough of the radicalism, the absurd non-learning atmosphere, and the horrible discipline problems caused by “woke” policies imposed by administrators.
It’s not just children who are being irreparably harmed. It’s their families and all of society.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Children are capable of great learning. Public school students used to study (and appreciate) Shakespeare, Dickens, Twain, and other great authors. They learned algebra, calculus, and trigonometry. They studied chemistry and physics. They knew geography, history, civics, and astronomy as well as most adults. They could debate and write well (with very good penmanship) and a larger vocabulary. They learned musical instruments, sang in chorus, and learned to appreciate classical music and even opera.
And beyond that: When Winston Churchill was a boy, his classmates could compose poetry in ancient Greek and Latin. He sometimes reminisced about reading Thucydides in the original Greek in high school.
We can restore education in America! Public schools should be uplifting beacons of learning instead of cesspools of ignorance, propaganda, and perversion.
Parents should want to send their children to the local public schools. Teachers should want to teach at them.
President Trump has opened the door to positive change. His Executive Orders are requiring that school systems that receive federal funding (i.e., all of them) abandon illegal and discriminatory DEI policies and teaching, identity propaganda, destructive gender ideology, and boys in girls’ sports – and implement pro-America courses of study for students.
That is a great start. For the first time in memory, parents have a friend – not an enemy – in their federal government in this regard.
This is an incredible opportunity. It’s a time for parents across the country to jump in and use that starting momentum from the top to force the entire change on the local level. An American revolution in education: All the bad curriculum (and methods) must go. All the radical perversion must go. It must be replaced with true quality.
But in every community, there are big obstacles to making this vision happen. Special interests, big money, and children are a dangerous combination. The national LGBT groups, the teachers’ unions, radical teachers, woke administrators, leftist school committees, and local unhinged leftist activists are all strongly against the reforms that parents want.
In most communities in America, the public schools take up over half of the town’s entire operating budget. Taxpayers – everyone’s taxes – are paying many times the per-pupil cost at similar private schools. We must insist on getting our money’s worth at the public schools.
Like every revolution that’s worth fighting, this will be a very nasty battle. Unfortunately, the conservative movement is not stepping up in any forceful way. But MassResistance has aggressively geared up to help parents make this happen in their communities. The only requirement is that the parents must really want this change. It’s not a fight for cowards. But it will really be worth it.
We’re already at work in a few school systems. But we want this education revolution to be a national movement! If you know of people in your community who are tired of the Left ruining the lives of everyone’s children with your tax money, drop us a line!
Please help us continue to do our uncompromising work!

My name is Arthur Schaper, and I am the Field Director for MassResistance. We are an international pro-family group that fights for natural marriage, life, and family. It is a great honor to speak out once again in favor of this necessary and proper resolution to restore natural marriage, particularly the authority of the states and the people to define marriage, not the federal government.
Many of the arguments that you will hear in favor of this
Resolution have stressed the unconstitutionality of the Obergefell decision—and
they are correct. The Supreme Court itself had declared that the power to
define marriage rests with the states and the people in US v Windsor. The Tenth Amendment is clear that all powers
not enumerated to the federal government belong to the states and the people.
Another essential point is that two of the Supreme Court
justices were not impartial triers of law, having officiated same-sex weddings
in the past. They should have recused themselves, and the decision would have
gone against so-called same-sex “marriage.”
However, I want to refute the many arguments that you have
already heard or read in opposition to this resolution. Many of you have
endured the pleadings of so-called same-sex “married” couples. You have heard
from corrupted religious leaders who do not adhere to the basic teachings of
their faith, which in reality clearly affirm that marriage is a covenant
relationship of one man and one woman. Their arguments are based on falsehoods
and misreading of their religious texts, and thus hold no relevance to this
discussion.
I want to point out that the Supreme Court decision Obergefell
v Hodges is one of the most illogical and untenable decisions imposed by
the United States Supreme Court.
First, the notion of two men or two women marrying is an
“impossibility.” Just because five judges decided to arbitrarily change a
definition does not mean that they can. The court could declare that 2 + 2 = 5,
but that is not the case.
Second, homosexuals who want to play pretend will talk about
the thousands of so-called rights that they will lose if they are not
“married.” However, they had no business being allowed to marry in the first
place. They can marry someone of the opposite sex because marriage has always
been the union of a man and a woman, for that is the only coupling that can
sire and rear children.
Third, social policy cannot be defined or determined merely
by the emotional pleadings of others. We have to think about the best interests
of all, not just the selfish desires of a few.
Furthermore, I want to point out that the Supreme Court
decision Obergefell v Hodges is one of the most unjust decisions imposed
by the United States Supreme Court.
Redefining marriage to remove recognition of the
distinctions of sex means that mothers and fathers become optional. The truth
is that children need their mother and their father as much as possible. It is
wrong to fundamentally undermine an institution to make some adults happy while
harming all children. From the Heritage Foundation report “No Differences No
More” to recent studies conducted by Dr. Paul Sullins, it is clear that
children suffer multiple deficits when raised by same-sex couples as opposed to
natural couples.
Following Obergefell, we now see an industry that
treats children as commodities that can be created like dolls and trafficked to
selfish adults who want to play parent. We see two men or two women who want to
affirm themselves while ignoring the needs of the children.
Following Obergefell, we have seen an increase in confused
men who now think they are women, invading women’s sports, spaces, and very
identity. This is no surprise following the Obergefell decision because
if sex does not matter when it comes to the proper definition of marriage, why
would it matter anywhere else? Yet today, most Americans recognize that it is
unjust to erase women as well as to erase motherhood.
It’s also unjust to trap people further in the lie that
people are “born that way,” which has happened because of this false
redefinition of marriage imposed by Obergefell. There is no gay gene.
There is no evidence that people are born in the wrong body. In fact, it is a
crime against nature to teach anyone, young or old, that they are born
homosexual or transgender. These patterns of behavior are inherently harmful to
individuals, and they should not be granted a privileged status in “marriage.”
Two men cannot consummate a marriage. Penetration of the anus is not just a
misuse of organs, but it’s a dangerous act which has hastened the spread of
venereal disease. Multiple epidemiological studies have affirmed this
disgusting reality.
Obergefell is also unjust because it imposes this lie
that it is some act of bigotry not to allow people who are attracted to the
same sex their supposed “right to marry.” How many churches, charities, and
small businesses have been persecuted because they won’t bake the cake or
provide some other service for a gay wedding? How many hard-working mothers and
fathers have been fired from their jobs because they refused to celebrate or
support homosexuality or transgenderism? All of these abuses have only increased
since the imposition of Obergefell. That is wrong.
Much like the Korematsu decision, which upheld the
unjust internment of Japanese-Americans, or Plessy v Ferguson, which
upheld segregation against people of color, the decision Obergefell v Hodges
has undermined individual liberties, harmed our cultural and natural
cohesion, and targeted vulnerable groups in the United States: children,
mothers and fathers, and our communities.
Martin Luther King Jr. declared: “The arc of history is
long, but it bends towards justice.”
It is time to restore justice: for children, for parents,
for communities, for faith, family, and freedom. And for the record, I must
remind this audience that Martin Luther King Jr. recognized that homosexuality
was not a lifestyle to celebrate, certainly within a redefinition of marriage,
but a mental health problem born out of abuse, dysfunction, or neglect that
needed treatment.
Again, it is unjust to fundamentally undermine a necessary
institution for the rearing of children, the cohesion of society, and the
well-being of public health.
It is unjust to persecute people, whether of faith or common
sense, who don’t want to recognize the lie of so-called same-sex marriages.
It is unjust to ignore and flout the laws of nature, which clearly
indicate that it takes a male and female to procreate, and that no individual
is born with self-harming tendencies like homosexuality or transgenderism.
Committee, you have the opportunity not only to stand for
what is right, but for what is just. Please Support this Resolution.
