Organization Director for MassResistance Runs for Office, Campaigns on Conservative, Pro-Family Platform

In left-wing Los Angeles area, Arthur Schaper’s run for California State Assembly shocked everyone!

An uplifting election story!

He got 10,000 more votes than previous GOP candidate - who had spent $1.5 million!

He got big endorsements, lots of support. He really angered the Left - and the squishy CA GOP!

December 7, 2020
ALT TEXT Arthur Schaper's campaign was bold and unapologetic - unlike most of the rest of the California GOP.

MassResistance Organization Director Arthur Schaper had not originally intended to run for the California State Assembly – or any public office.

But late last year a group of local citizens who admire his strong pro-family principles and MassResistance activism approached him and relentlessly urged him to do it. They raised the $1,104.00 filing fee to get him on the ballot. They found him an experienced campaign manager and treasurer.

So Arthur agreed to run. With limited but effective campaigning and very little money, he got 84,867 votes (about 37% of the total). This was over 10,000 more votes than the previous GOP candidate in 2018, who had spent $1.5 million, had a campaign office, a large organization, and campaigned heavily throughout the district.

How did Arthur do this well? We think it was because he has a strong common-sense (and pro-family) message – including opposing the LGBT agenda in the schools – that resonated with a lot of voters who were tired of the lunacy from Democrats.

Up against a terrible anti-family incumbent – in a difficult district

On paper, it’s certainly not friendly territory. The 66th Assembly District is known as the “South Bay” area of Los Angeles County. It includes Arthur’s home town of Torrance and extends along the coast from Manhattan Beach to Rancho Palos Verdes and east to West Carson. Not surprisingly, it is a majority Democrat area. With California’s legalized ballot harvesting, early voting, mail-in voting, and the usual ballot fraud, it’s become very difficult for Republicans like Arthur to gain traction.

However, the incumbent Assemblyman, Democrat Al Muratsuchi, is an enemy of pro-family conservatives. He’s voted for every anti-family bill in the Legislature. For example, this year, he was the tie-breaking vote in the Assembly to pass SB 145, which removed the sex-offender registry requirement for adult-child homosexual sex. In 2018 he was a strong advocate for AB 2943, which would ban counseling for adults suffering from unwanted same-sex attraction. (Luckily, MassResistance was able to stop that one from becoming law.)

ALT TEXT California MassResistance activists confronted Muratsuchi (left) at his public events about his support for the hideous bill SB 145.

ALT TEXT Reacting to Muratsuchi's explanation for his support for AB 2943 at an "town hall" event in 2018.

So people across the district felt that Muratsuchi needed to be opposed, and that Arthur Schaper was the best chance there was for that. Arthur continued his full-time work for MassResistance and did campaigning on weekends and occasional evenings. He always mentioned MassResistance when he was campaigning – and took strong positions on all the conservative issues of the day. His committee of supporters did everything they could, including texting over 60,000 people in the district.

Endorsement by Ward Connerly

One of the prominent ballot questions before the state in that election was Proposition 16. Back in 1996 California voters passed Prop 209 to end the leftist practice of race-based discrimination in college admissions and hiring practices in the state. University of California Regent Ward Connerly ran that effort and became a national figure. Liberals have hated it ever since. So this year the Left put forth Prop 16 to repeal it. (Luckily, that failed.)

During the campaign, Ward Connerly was so impressed by Arthur’s bold stand against Prop 16 (and on other conservative issues) that he publicly endorsed him! (One of Connerly’s staff members has now become a MassResistance activist!)

ALT TEXT Ward Connerly was outspoken in his support for Arthur's candidacy!

Other key endorsements

For 20 years The National Rifle Association had not endorsed any Republican candidates in District 66 – because they were soft on the gun issue. But this time the NRA strongly endorsed Arthur!

ALT TEXT Endorsed by the NRA.

Torrance City Councilman Aurelio Mattucci, a strong pro-family advocate, publicly endorsed Arthur, along with Hector Gastelum, the Otay Mesa Water District Director.

Torrance City Councilman Aurelio Mattucci is a major figure in local politics. His endorsement of Arthur was a big deal!

The slimy California GOP would not endorse Arthur!

In recent years Arthur (along with many other California conservatives) has been very vocal about the leftward lurch and moral corruption of the California State Republican Party. Many have described the CA GOP as having been largely taken over by “the establishment consultant class.” In particular, they have caved in on the LGBT agenda and other pro-family issues that are important to the grassroots. (Republicans in other states will surely recognize this!) Arthur has loudly called them out on that – and they really don’t like him because of that.

For example, Arthur was president of the Beach Cities Republicans, a local GOP organization. The CA GOP warned the membership that if they re-elected Arthur as president they would revoke the group’s charter! They elected Arthur anyway. And their charter got revoked!

The Beach Cities Republicans elected Arthur president TWICE - against the threats of the state party!

The CA GOP also tried to pressure local GOP groups to “disinvite” Arthur from speaking during his campaign – but none of them complied! Arthur is clearly popular among local Republicans.

Great support from his church!

Arthur belongs to a church that most people can only dream of! The pastor is a strong social conservative and not afraid to talk about the issues – and take action. The pastor openly endorsed Arthur and had him speak at the church several times during the campaign.

Arthur definitely has a gift for speaking clearly and powerfully on political issues. Here are two of his speeches before the congregation:

Arthur’s speech at the church on October 22, 2020

ALT TEXT Arthur, along with his pastor (left), addresses the church congregation about the issues before them in his election.

A vicious hate campaign against Arthur – but he fought back!

Not surprisingly, the left-wing radicals in the district became unhinged when they heard Arthur was running for the State Assembly with an unflinching pro-family and pro-America message. They went on a vicious social media rampage against Arthur.

ALT TEXT A left-wing wacko named Alexandra Lynn led a social media campaign against Arthur. But people also defended him. Below, one of the many memes that Lynn sent out against Arthur.
ALT TEXT

As we’ve all observed, these are very disturbed people, as exhibited by their obsessive hatred and inability to deal with issues rationally. Most pro-family people cower in fear when these attacks start to happen, and worse, pull back on their principled public stands. It’s really pathetic to watch. But not Arthur Schaper. He fought back. And it worked. The leftist radicals are the ones who began to cower and shrivel away. Arthur knows that these people – who love to be “bullies” – are really cowards inside.

Here’s an example of Arthur’s successfully fighting back at one of his rabid attackers.

Final thoughts

Although Arthur didn’t win, he got more votes than any of the “experts” predicted was possible. He was a first-time candidate in a hostile district who only raised about $4,000. He had a small group, and was opposed by his own state party. But his unflinching and fearless conservative pro-family message won support that was far greater than his reach!

In short, Arthur did the opposite of what most of the GOP does. And it got surprising results in a normally inhospitable environment. This should be a lesson for the rest of the Republican Party – and for conservatives everywhere!

Al Muratsuchi: Hillary Hocker

Someone needs to tell Al Muratsuchi that nobody wants him.

He lost by a slim margin in 2014, but the point is that he lost.

He needs to go back to the private sector or figure out the proper meaning of "public service."

He doesn't really understand it.

He was a seat-warmer in the state legislature for one term.

Al Muratsuchi

Then the voters fired him.

David Hadley has accomplished more substantive reforms in one term than Al did for one term.

Reminder: David Hadley is a freshman, a Republican, and the Number One Target in the state.

The Democrats want him out.

They cannot believe that this private investment firm banker, with a wife and four kids, and a stable life in the Beach Cities could beat down the Jerry Brown Barack Obama machine.

But he did.

Now, Muratsuchi is begging to come back to the state assembly.

He will not define his opponent.

He will not make a clear case for why he should be elected.

He does not seem interested in talking about South Bay.

He wants to talk about Donald Trump, and how much he loves Hilary Clinton

His latest editorial exposes his misguided priorities.

Take a stand for the South Bay — dump Trump: Al Muratsuchi

With a historic presidential election rapidly approaching, it is time to take a real stand for the South Bay and our country.

Ha! This guy did next to nothing while representing the region.

He caved to the all the corrupt special interests in Sacramento.

For all his claims not to be an ideologue, he voted the Democratic Party line 90% of the time.

Sounds like a very driven, very corrupted politician.

Our next president of the United States is going to be either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, with all due respect to third-party candidates. The choice between Clinton and Trump could not be more clear. The stakes could not be higher — for our children, our families, and our nation.

This is no time to stay on the sidelines of this historic election with your finger in the wind. We cannot afford to sit this one out or cast a protest vote. This election is too important.

No kidding, Al!

I denounce Donald Trump, and his mean-spirited, demagogic candidacy. As Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins recently declared, “Donald Trump does not represent traditional American values.” Fifty of our nation’s most senior Republican national security officials signed a letter declaring that Trump “lacks the character, values and experience” to be president and “would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.”

First of all, Assemblyman David Hadley is not voting for Trump.

So why is he talking about the Republican Presidential nominee?

As a father, I am most disturbed by the potential reality of Trump as our commander-in-chief with control over our military and nuclear weapons. Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is a thin-skinned bully who is not temperamentally fit to be entrusted with weapons than can end the world as we know it. Former Republican national security officials, including former CIA director Michael Hayden and former Homeland Security secretaries Tom Ridge and Michael Cherthoff, recently signed an unprecedented letter declaring, “Mr. Trump lacks the temperament to be President,” and that he “would be the most reckless President in American history.”

Granted, previous leaders in Washington do not like Donald Trump.

Yet other leaders are disregarding the safety and security of this nation by supporting Hillary Clinton, a corrupt Wall Street corporate fraud who does not live under the rules dictated to everyone else.

Hard-core liberals cannot stand her, and conservatives with any sense wil do everything they can to stop her.

Why is Al Muratsuchi standing with a regressive Washington DC thug like Hillary Clinton?

Vote for me or else!!!!

As a former chairman of the California State Assembly’s Committee on Veterans Affairs and former member of the Governor’s Military Council, I condemn Trump’s complete lack of respect for our nation’s veterans and their families. The Veterans of Foreign Wars condemned Trump for attacking the grieving Gold Star parents of U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim American who was killed in action in Iraq. Trump also questioned whether Sen. John McCain, a former Navy pilot and Vietnam War POW, was a war hero, stating, “I like people who weren’t captured.” This, from a man who received four draft deferments and never served, is inexcusable.

This is the biggest BS excuse of them all.

Khan was a Sharia law adherent.

He had ties to other radical Muslim groups.

Let's also not forget that the father of the Orlando, Florida Islamic terrorist Omar Mateen was a front-row attendee and spectator at one of Hillary Clinton's rallies. Where's the sense in that?

How about all the work and outreach that Trump has done for our military, for our border security, and law enforcement.

For Hillary Clinton, Black Lives do not Matter, neither do Blue Lives, or Women's Lives.

Only her life in politics matters.

As a South Bay resident for many years, I also believe Trump should be unequivocally denounced for his repeated calls to ban all Muslims from entering into the United States. Trump’s call to exclude all people of the Muslim faith during our ongoing war against terrorism is disturbingly similar to what many South Bay residents of Japanese ancestry experienced during World War II.

This comparison is disingenuous and offensive.

Japanese is an ethic identity, not a religious adherence.

Being Japanese is in the DNA.

Being a Muslim is a matter of choice and ideology.

Nothing could be more simple.

During the war, more than 120,000 Japanese Americans were removed from the West Coast and incarcerated behind barb wire in desolate camps, solely on the basis of their ancestry. Decades after the war, in 1988, President Ronald Reagan apologized on behalf of our nation for this massive injustice that was, according to a congressional fact-finding commission, not based on military necessity, but on “race prejudice, wartime hysteria, and a failure of political leadership.” Trump apparently has not learned from this history, and appears ready to repeat another massive violation of our Constitution, this time against Muslim Americans.

Al neglects to mention that a DEMOCRATIC President by executive order (where have we heard this story before?) forced 120,000 Japanese-Americans into internment camps.

Why won't he call out the dismal record of racism, xenophobia, and ethnic hatred of the Democratic Party?

We need to take a stand against Trump. I am voting for Hillary Clinton. As a former secretary of State, senator, first lady, and lifelong fighter, she is the most experienced and best qualified candidate to lead our nation. I believe in what she stands for: a strong and inclusive America. No candidate is perfect, but there should be no doubt that Clinton would be better for our country, and our children’s future, than Trump.

Hillary Clinton:

1. Failed First Lady.
2. Failed U.S. Senator
3. Failed Secretary of State
4. Failing Presidential candidate.

She has the following things against her:

1. She lies--even when she has no reason to. That's a very deep sickness.
2. She steals from donors to pad her own agenda.
3. She insists on maintaining the open Clinton Foundation

This is a historic election. Take a stand and vote on Nov. 8.

This is a historic election, indeed, one where a Republican incumbent in a purple district will hold onto his seat for his incredible record of service and respect for constituents across the South Bay.

Al Muratsuchi
Union Whore
Final Reflection

Let's face it.

Al Muratsuchi is a union whore.

In 2014, he was a whore for Big Oil.

He is also a Hillary whore.

He will say and do just about anything to promote the most corrupt presidential candidate in U.S. political history.

Unreal.

Young people despise her.

The Middle Class abhors her, since she will only make things worse.

Anyone with half a brain find her incomprehensible.

Why are we settling for this Wall Street Hag?

Al Muratsuchi has a lot of explaining to do. He should be ashamed of himself for supporting an ambitious witch who is out for her own again, who is slowly dying before everyone's eyes but hiding her health from the public.

She left four diplomats die in Benghazi.

She has compromised the security of undercover forces with her corrosive misuses of classified information.

She is an international influence peddler with no regard for the best interests of this country.

She has to go -- and take Al Muratsuchi with him!

Al Muratsuchi: Union Whore

The economic and culture wars abound in the state of California.

State Senator Ricardo Lara wants to attack the First Amendment on all five of its points.

Mark Leno and company are waging war on businesses, forcing the minimum wage up to $15 an hour by 2022, and with that destructive maneuver, they are forcing out young people, particularly minorities, from the precarious job market.

How about Gun-Apocalypse, which just criminalized the legal purchase and acquisition of a firearm in greater measure than before? Thanks Governor Moonbeam.

On one issue, however, voters from the left or the right have growing consensus: the destructive impact of Big Labor in the Golden State.

Labor unions are actively buying up influence among Democrats (mostly) and Republicans (to a much smaller extent).

Unions loves unions, they do not care about their workers, and they are hurting students, parents, consumers, businesses, and everyone else in this state who contributes rather than confiscates wealth, resources, and opportunity.

Whatever we may think of liberal Republicans, many of them are standing up to the arrogant, overbearing syndicates which are pushing out the middle and working classes. A new aristocracy of public employees has taken hold in California. Elected officials and commissioners are raking in six figure salaries--in retirement--and we the people are expected to pay for this elitist redistribution of wealth.

Historically, this economic tyranny is nothing new. The ignoble nobility of the French aristocracy lived off lavish pensions, paid off by struggling laborers and artisans for decades. Then marched in the French Revolution.

Let's not forget the numerous times that the teachers' unions have run to the rescue of the worst, most reprobate teachers, even those who had sexually assaulted students. School districts could not fire them because of the ironclad tenure laws, negotiated in greater measure by teachers unions.

Even private sector unions are facing greater privation. Why? Because their anti-free market policies are hurting the very businesses they rely on for employment.

More union members, forced to join and forced to pay, are tired of watching the labor leaders make six figure salaries, but their opportunities for better employment whither away. Hours get cut, and the worst employees never get disciplined or fired.

Let's not forget the disdainful, destructive behavior of the ILWU. They shut down the ports time and again, like a group of selfish, petulant middle schoolers who can't stand not getting their way. Why does any one group retain the power to disrupt commerce at the expense of everyone else?

These labor unions need a punch in the nose, not another thousand dollars, or easy politicians who will bend and weave for their every whim.

So, for Election 2016, the candidates whom California voters should reject are those paid for, bought and sold by major labor unions, particularly the public sector lobbies.

And who fits that destructive description in the South Bay contest for the 66th Assembly District?

Al "Union Whore" Muratsuchi.

Critics properly countered that Muratsuchi was a union puppet, and they bought him a seat in 2012 so that he could warm it up and keep their big money rolling in.

Al Muratsuchi is sleeping with every labor union in California.

What a whore! They pay him big money, and he does whatever they tell him to.

You can be sure he will be turning tricks for the unions in Sacramento, if elected.

Do we really want another special interest prostitute, a hussy who will bump and grind for lobbyists and big government insiders who look out for themselves and their administrators, and not even for their members?

Say "No!" to the union whore!

Vote for David Hadley for State Assembly!

RINO Don Lee Endorses Al Muratsuchi

What is the matter with some Republicans?

It is shameful, just plain incredible to me that Republicans in the South Bay and in other parts of California engage in shameless, divisive actions against their own party.

Political parties exist in part to support local and statewide candidates for office.

Do they not agree on principles? Do they not have any respect or regard for the work that political parties engage in to ensure better results for their state?

RINO Don Lee

Yet what happens when the same candidate turns his back on the party?

Torrance Unified School Board member Don Lee, the same guy who lied about being the only officially endorsed Republican school board candidate for Election 2015, has now gone ahead and endorsed liberal Democratic--yes, Democrat--Al Murastuchi.

Yes, yes, I understand that the two were colleagues on the Torrance Unified School Board.

Still, David Hadley has done ten times the job that Muratsuchi had done when he had represented the South Bay. Instead of respecting the local interests and needs of the region, he followed the lead of the liberal special interests in Sacramento.

Democrats, Independents, and Republicans want a leader, not a follower, and this decision to continue supporting the same progressive left-wing candidate for the district is just terrible.

This is shameful, disgraceful, and just plain counterproductive.

What kind of a message does this send? What kind of leadership or governance does this demonstrate? For a guy who says "politics is fun," I do not see the fun or enjoyment in stabbing your party, your prized assemblyman, in the back.

Sources have informed me that Don Lee was liberal leaning as a school board member, anyway: "I like my city councils conservative, and my school board liberal."

He certainly fits in with this disappointing endorsement.

The South Bay has a Republican state assemblyman for the first time in 24 years, and what does Don Lee announce to the world?

Vote for the liberal Democrat and throw out David Hadley.

I have never been so disgusted.

Other conservatives in the South Bay have candidly told it like it is about Don:

"He's a weasel!"

"He's a RINO!"

Indeed, this latest stunt is truly disheartening.

Not only because Don Lee is a Republican, but also because Al Muratsuchi has run nothing but hateful, destructive, and abusive campaigns in the past, lying about his previous challengers in the most despicable fashion.

As a one-term FIRED Sacramento pol, he tried to pass legislation which would make it harder to fire pervert teachers. He also signed onto legislation to limit funding to local schools compared to other, lower-performing schools in the community.

How could anyone endorse Al Muratsuchi?!

Then again, perhaps we should not be surprised:

I understand that Republican unity is crucial, in spite of ideological, professional, or even personal differences.

But unity must be principled. Don Lee's actions have been anything but. It's time for accountability as well as unity.

This Republican, now RINO, should never have endorsed a Democrat, even when leaders of all parties have sided with a principled and pragmatic policy maker who has actually represented the 66th.

CA College Republicans Rally For Hadley

California College Republicans for Hadley

Election 2016 is going to be a wild year.

And a year where California politics will influence the national discussion and dynamic.

For the first time in decades, California will play a significant role in who will be the nominee for hte major parties. Republicans in this blue state (actually, a red state dominated by two liberal urban areas in Los Angeles and the Bay Area) are gearing up for a much higher than expected turnout.

This rise in the final balloting may help California Republican candidates. More Democrats and Decline to State voters are joining the Republican Party so that they can vote for ... Donald Trump.

Whatever one may think of his policies or rhetoric, his celebrity stronghold over the media can give Republicans an edge in a stater where the Democratic Party has edged them out deliberately--and definitively--for the past twenty years.

And in the state of California, and for the country, there is one section, one assembly seat where the fate of the Golden State rests precariously.

The South Bay, Los Angeles County Assembly District.

The 66th Assembly District is Ground Zero for the state of California, and for the California Republican Party in particular.

We win this seat a second time, the South Bay will be a safe haven once again for the Republican Party.

Not an outpost of isolated conservative courage, but a beach head where young guns will fight for life, liberty, and opportunity to take back Los Angeles County and California for We the People.

The Rebel Alliance is strong, ready to fight to the end.

The Democrats, in full connection with Big Labor, Big Business, and ever self-serving special interest, will pour in every resource available to take over and take the reins of power once again.

In 2014, the California Democratic dominance facade began to crack

David Hadley (with a lot of moral support but not a lot of party funding until the end) defeated a smug, entitled Democratic incumbent in 2014.

And yet the margin of victory was less than 1%.

How many votes? 706!

And the turnout was lower than expected. It was the sixth-year itch, and many Democrats had not turned out to vote.

Will a similar disillusionment draw down the liberal turnout in 2016? Perhaps.

Regardless of the top of the ticket on the Democratic side, Election 2016 will have a bigger turnout with bigger money from the left-wing Democratic Machine.

But ...

David Hadley has a bigger community of support, with the South Bay 300.

He will also have a bigger base  of volunteers.

We have not even entered the final month before the primary, and College Republicans are pouring in to help David hold his seat and help California Republicans bring balance back to the Golden State.

Students from Chapman University, USC, UC Irvine (Go Anteaters!), and Cal State University Channel Islands showed up and showed their support.

It's a Saturday, people. Shouldn't these kids be taking a break from their studies? Or shouldn't they be cramming for their next exam?

These young Republicans can take on the heavy load of course work and political canvassing.

The Secretary for the California College Republicans came down and helped, too!

Special thanks to these young conservatives for stepping up, so soon and so early.

As we approach the June 7th primary it is vital that every stakeholder in the state steps up and rallies the South Bay for David Hadley.

Young conservatives have heeded the call and are stepping up for the win.

This fight is for everyone. If your assembly seat or Congressional district is safe (or impossible), mobilize your forces down to the South Bay and help the Rebel Alliance beat back the Democratic Empire!
