Angry, deranged transgender activists demanded she lose her license. Nursing Board was ready to comply.

When leftists – particularly LGBT activists – see a lone conservative boldly standing up to their ideology, they do everything they can to destroy the person, the person’s family life, and even the person’s ability to earn a living.

Unfortunately, most pro-family groups do little or nothing to fight this. They usually just sit on the sidelines. But MassResistance jumps right in and battles right back! If you’ve been following us, you’ve seen us in action recently stopping “cancel culture” in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Canada, and Idaho. It makes a difference!

A nurse speaks out on social media

Elaine works as a nurse in the suburbs of Topeka, Kansas. She works for a company that sends her to various places in the area where a nurse is needed.

When Elaine was younger, she was a victim of sexual assault. She is very much against men being allowed in women’s restrooms and locker rooms. She sees the entire transgender movement as medically and psychologically dysfunctional and delusional. It’s especially dangerous for children. In other words, she tells the politically incorrect truth.

She does not discuss her opinions during work. But over the past year, she has been very vocal on social media.

Not surprisingly, her posts have attracted abuse from leftist online trolls, especially transgender activists. But that hasn’t bothered her. She feels strongly about telling the truth in the face of destructive political correctness.

Then on October 9, 2024, she received a frightening letter from the Kansas State Board of Nursing. It said:

The Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) has received information that you may have violated the Kansas Nurse Practice Act… It is alleged that you have been using social media to attack the transgender population, and to debase healthcare processes.

The letter went on to say that an investigation has begun on this case.

It was shocking! Elaine was basically telling the truth. Her first reaction was that it was a witch hunt.

A close look at the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, referenced in the letter, reveals that it does not prohibit or even address a nurse’s private social media use. Nor does it mention transgenderism as a prohibited or protected issue.

Moreover, the Kansas State Board of Nursing is appointed by the Democrat governor of Kansas, Laura Kelly. Gov. Kelly recently vetoed a bill that would ban transgender mutilation of children. It’s widely believed that this board is solidly in line with the governor’s pro-LGBT thinking. Transgender activists had obviously communicated to the board about Elaine.

Attacks against Elaine increase

After the board’s letter about the opening of the investigation, LGBT activists and their allies filed numerous complaints against Elaine to the Kansas State Board of Nursing. They wanted her nursing license to be revoked, and make sure she would not be able to work as a nurse again.

In addition, the level of the online attacks against Elaine expanded to vicious doxing and threats. Unhinged transgender activists posted her home address. They exposed where her children went to school. They even began publishing libelous attacks against her husband. They made harassing phone calls to Elaine’s home, too.

Kansas MassResistance team fights back

In mid-November, our Kansas MassResistance team connected with Elaine. She was thrilled to have our help!

Our activists went to work defending Elaine online – and stomping the leftist trolls attacking her and her family. The leftists certainly weren’t used to the treatment we gave them – and began backing off. They tried attacking us, but of course, that didn’t work.

Our Kansas activists also filed numerous statements in support of Elaine with the nursing board. They also contacted members of the board to express their displeasure about this illegitimate action being taken against her.

Kansas Attorney General weighs in

The flood of online attacks against Elaine – and the absurd charge by the Kansas State Board of Nursing – brought the issue to prominence in Kansas. Kansas Attorney General Kris Korbach, a Republican, was asked to weigh in. Here’s what he said on social media:

Actually, this would not be prosecuted by the Attorney General. The nursing board would be the making the decision. But his statement was certainly significant!

Elaine wins!

On December 9, the Kansas State Board of Nursing concluded its investigation and met to make a decision. Several Kansas MassResistance activists attended the meeting to show support for Elaine. The board members immediately left the meeting room and discussed it in private – but they got the message.

A few days later, Elaine received a letter with their one-sentence decision:

The Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) decision was to inactivate (close) the case.

Elaine had won!

During their “investigation,” the nursing board investigator admitted to Elaine that all the complaints against her were about her social media posts. None of the complaints were about actual work as a nurse.

Thus, the charge against her was completely baseless and frivolous – since private social media posts are not prohibited or even addressed in the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. As Elaine had said, it was simply a witch-hunt by the leftists.

Moving forward to stop future abuses

After the decision, we filed a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request to see the actual complaints filed against Elaine. The nursing board clearly did not want to release them. They charged as much money as legally possible and (possibly illegally) blacked out the names and addresses of the filers. But it appears that most of the complaints came from across the country. And the British-style spelling of certain words suggests that they even came from foreign countries!

Several Kansas MassResistance activists have contacted state legislators about providing a legal remedy so this kind of abuse won’t happen in the future. It includes limiting the ability of Kansas licensure boards to investigate professionals simply because of their political opinions or speech outside of work hours. This type of cancel culture must be stopped!

Final thoughts

With the momentum from the Trump administrations bold executive actions to protect citizens, the conservative movement needs to start being aggressive about completely stopping the Left’s “cancel culture” against us.

In one of our previous email reports, all of you learned about MassResistance’s latest efforts in the state of Idaho. Despite a great deal of corporate and political pressure, Governor Brad Little signed into law two pieces of legislation to push back on the transgender insanity which has been harming men and women in general, and women’s sports in particular.

In Arizona, we have the opportunity to get a similar bill passed, just like in Idaho.

Even though the legislature has gone into recess because of the Coronavirus outbreak, staffers in the state legislature have informed us that they will be meeting on May 1st, 2020 to decide if they will continue the legislative session or end for the year.

The legislation has already passed the Arizona State House of Representatives. Currently, the legislation is still awaiting a committee assignment in the Arizona State Senate, then a final vote on the floor before going to Governor Doug Ducey’s desk.

Here are the key talking points:

1. This piece of legislation will keep biological males from competing against girls in sports. It's so sad that it has come to this point in any state, but we need to take every step possible to ensure that the clear distinctions between male and female are respected and guarded.
   
2. This legislation is common-sense, and should not be scuttled or rejected. It already passed out of the Arizona State House, but is awaiting a hearing in the State Senate.
   
3. Transgenderism is a mental illness, not a civil right or a different form of being in the world. We should not be normalizing something that harms children.
   
4. Transgenderism on children causes all kinds of horrific consequences, including depression, sterility, and other health complications. The state of Arizona must take every step to stop normalizing this abusive agenda.

We must not let this bill die just because of the Coronavirus problem which is putting legislatures on hold. This bill HB 2706 is a worthwhile opportunity to correct these abuses and stop the advance of this LGBT agenda in the Grand Canyon State.

I received a phone call yesterday from Ann Custalow (804-843-4368) regarding the W.P. School board meeting on Jan 15th.  She says the public may attend and may make comments to the board during this open meeting, however, if you are planning on attending and would like to address the board, you must let Ms. Custalow know that you are planning on attending within the next several days by emailing her at 

lacustalow@wpschools.net  (this is a different policy than what was stated to my husband recently).

              You also would need to “sign in” with Ms. Custalow prior to the start of the meeting on the 15^th (if you plan on addressing the board).   She said the dismissal of teacher Peter Vlaming is not on the agenda for the 15^th meeting and any comments made to the board regarding his firing will not be responded to during the meeting, as they consider this a “personnel issue”.  In fact the board simply listens to comments made to them in an open meeting, they do not engage the speaker (Lancaster County practiced similarly as I recall).  Public comments are limited to 3 minutes  per person.  She said the board’s agenda should be posted by Friday Jan. 11^th  I believe.  If you just want to attend and observe, you would just show up for the meeting is my understanding.   Meetings are held in the W.P. Elementary school library at 5 pm (3^rd Tues of each month).

Teacher loses job after refusing to use transgender student's pronouns

A school board voted unanimously to dismiss Peter Vlaming after a four-hour hearing that drew an overflow crowd.

WEST POINT, Virginia --

A Virginia high school teacher who refused to use a transgender student's new pronouns has been fired.

News outlets report that the West Point School Board voted unanimously Thursday to dismiss Peter Vlaming after a four-hour hearing that drew an overflow crowd. The school system said in a statement that Vlaming was fired for insubordination.

Over the summer, the ninth-grade student's family informed the school system of the student's gender transition to male. The student wasn't involved in Thursday's hearing.

It's not suggested that the 47-year-old West Point High School French teacher deliberately referred to the student using female pronouns in the student's presence but in conversations with others.

Witnesses described a "slip-up" when the student was about to run into a wall and Vlaming told others to stop "her." When discussing the incident with administrators, Vlaming made it clear he would not use male pronouns, a stance that led to his suspension referral for disciplinary action.

"I can't think of a worse way to treat a child than what was happening," said West Point High Principal Jonathan Hochman, who testified that he told Vlaming to use male pronouns in accordance with the student's wishes.

Vlaming told superiors that his Christian faith prevented him from using male pronouns for the student. Vlaming said he had the student in class the year before when the student identified as female.

Vlaming's attorney, Shawn Voyles, says his client offered to use the student's name and to avoid feminine pronouns, but Voyles says the school was unwilling to accept the compromise.

"That discrimination then leads to creating a hostile learning environment. And the student had expressed that. The parent had expressed that," said West Point schools Superintendent Laura Abel. "They felt disrespected."

Nondiscrimination policies were updated a year ago to include protections for gender identity, but didn't include guidance on gender pronoun use, according to Vlaming's lawyer, Voyles, who notes Vlaming has constitutional rights.

"One of those rights that is not curtailed is to be free from being compelled to speak something that violates your conscience," Voyles said.

Vlaming said he loves and respects all his students but when a solution he tried to reach based on "mutual tolerance" was rejected, he was at risk of losing his job for having views held by "most of the world for most of human history."

"That is not tolerance," Vlaming said. "That is coercion."

Vlaming is considering a legal appeal, but said he wants to consult with his attorney before announcing further steps.

"I have to research how we would do that, what that would entail," Vlaming said. "I do think it's a serious question of First Amendment rights."

Equality Virginia, an LGBTQ-rights group, said the situation reveals the need for "statewide guidance" that will protect all students from discrimination at school.

In the final week before the election, many people in Massachusetts still hadn’t heard much about Question 3, regarding the transgender “bathroom” law, which is up for a statewide vote. Even fewer had a sense of what was at stake -- a lunatic ideology being forced on everyone -- since both the LGBT and the pro-family “establishment” have been avoiding that key issue in their arguments.  

What’s a good way to get your message out to thousands of people in a short period of time? Highway standouts would seem obvious, but it’s amazing how few people do that these days. But in Massachusetts, which is full of packed highways, you’ve got a pretty captive audience. And our message is pretty simple. So we said, “Why not?”

The No To 3 Committee had some banners made, and people got to work on highways and Interstate overpasses across the state. And it was a lot of fun! (We got several to send us photos!)

Most people supported me beeping their horns. All the men who replied to me--supported me. Most women smiled in support. Only one college girl opposed so far. I will continue as long as weather is good.

Bullseye: Target Corporation in Freefall for Pushing LGBT Agenda

I do not share the same pessimism as some outspoken conservatives in the Trump movement.

I do believe that we are winning the culture wars--but we are not showing that kind of strength in California as is happening elsewhere in the country.

Despite the seeming setbacks in Deep Blue states, the truth is that more Americans are rejecting a great deal of the regressive, leftist propaganda.

The uprising against Target for allowing men to go into women's bathrooms and fitting rooms shows that the momentum against the destruction of life and family is no longer being taken lightly.

Men and women all over the country have voted with their feet and with their dollars--they refuse to fund and support this transgenderism nonsense.

The latest filings and stock reports on Target could not make it clearer: their sales are in total freefall!

It's looking really bad for the company.

They expanded their merchandising. They brought in foodstuffs to sell to the public, too.

But the moment that they decided to ignore natural law and allow men into women's bathrooms, everything fell apart for them. Now no one wants to shop there!

Target shares dropped after the retailer posted a blog on Friday, promising to lower prices on thousands of goods.

The cuts will be on items including cereal, paper towels, baby formula, razors and bath tissue, Target said. And the news comes just days after Amazon started cutting prices at Whole Foods' stores across America.

Target shares were trading around 3 percent lower Friday afternoon on the announcement.

Of course, the real uestion is "why do they have to drop their prices?"

Because no one is shopping there anymore.

Target made itself a target when they decided that it would be A-OK to play the transgenderism card. Now corrupted and perverse men are taking advantage of this policy. They entered into women's bathrooms as they claim that they are female. Then the same perverse men take advantage of this privacy invasion to film women and children.

The store is rightly called "Target", because they are turning women and children into targets for abuse!

I cannot wait to see the whole corporation go under for attacking natural law and the natural order of  man!

Our newest MassResistance chapter, Hong Kong MassResistance, is off and running! Led by a Catholic priest and a core group of eight veteran Hong Kong pro-family activists, they held their initial meeting on July 15 in Kowloon.

There are serious concerns and fears in Hong Kong that the LGBT movement has targeted the country to force “gay marriage” there, followed by the rest of their agenda in the society and schools.

In general, Hong Kong is very socially conservative – much more so than Britain, which controlled it until recently and established its social and political institutions. Marriage is strictly one man and one woman, and the government now vigorously supports that.

But much of the media there has become aggressively liberal, and is working to help push the LGBT movement. This has upset many people, and was an impetus for forming the Hong Kong MassResistance chapter.

The “gay marriage” fight in the Hong Kong courts

The big threat in Hong Kong right now is “gay marriage.” The LGBT movement knows it cannot win through government action or public opinion. So they are trying to force it through the courts – as they did in the US and recently in Taiwan.

However, the courts in Hong Kong do not appear to have the powers to broadly change the country’s laws, completely unchecked, as done in the US. The other branches of the government can decide to use appeals and other methods to thwart blatantly activist courts.

Thus, the LGBT movement’s strategy has been to push hard to attack relatively small marriage issues that could be used to bring “gay marriage” into the country using legal technicalities.

For example, two recent cases involved minor issues meant to push eventual ‘gay marriage’:

• A Hong Kong man who had a “sex change” operation was allowed to change his government identification to female. He then tried to marry another man. He went to court and initially lost. But in 2013, an Appeals Court ruled that the marriage should be allowed, given the current ambiguity in the law. But the ruling was put on hold until the law on “gender recognition” could be better defined by the legislature. (This also points to another issue Hong Kong MassResistance realizes it must take on: so-called “transgender rights.”)
• A homosexual Hong Kong government bureaucrat went to New Zealand and “married” his boyfriend. He then tried applied to get Hong Kong government spousal benefits for his “husband”, and was denied because of Hong Kong’s law defining marriage. A court ruled in his favor. But the government is appealing that ruling.

The LGBT movement is clearly fighting hard to advance their agenda.

As a result, there is a move to alert the population to the dangers of “gay marriage” and get the government to tighten the laws and become even more aggressive about defending these cases in court. Also, there needs to be pressure put on the government as it moves to define “gender recognition” regarding the “transgender marriage” case.

Hong Kong MassResistance recognizes that we need to get involved with these issues.

Unlike the rest of China and Taiwan which speaks Mandarin Chinese, the people of Hong Kong speak the Cantonese dialect of Chinese. Both dialects use the same Chinese characters, but the words sound much different. Therefore, a special Cantonese version of the MassResistance video, “What gay marriage has done to Massachusetts,” was created for Hong Kong. (There is also a Mandarin version of our video that is used in Taiwan.)

Getting the truth out!

On May 27 and 28, Hong Kong MassResistance showed the video to 400 people at three Catholic Masses. They will also be promoting the video in Hong Kong Catholic newspapers. In addition to that, of course, they are promoting the video across the country.

The HK-MR core group will meet again this month and work on plans to expand their reach and discuss coordinating with other groups, and strategies to be as effective as possible. They are also designing an official Hong Kong MassResistance logo – appropriately with the text in both Chinese and English.

The Hong Kong MassResistance group is a great addition to the worldwide battle! We will keep you informed on their progress.
