Fukuyama's Follies (The End of Globalist Hysteria)

Irrelevant, failed social scientist Francis Fukuyama took to social media recently to do what irrelevant failed social scientists do when they are desperate to re-establish a modicum of renewed relevance: He bashed President Trump.

All the goodie-goodie talking heads who want a seat at the diminishing corporate media table do this. It’s like virtue-signaling, especially for Never-Trumpers and globalist-leaning political architects who were content to see the United States diminished into a mere “one among many”, ignoring its citizens, opening the borders, pushing a neutralized politics that turned profit into the only nominative value a citizen could have.

Fukuyama’s specific gripe focused on President Trump’s meeting with Xi Jinping. He claimed that President Trump got rolled in the trade talks, and that his treatment at the Beijing summit was lined with subtle insults, disparaging the President and forcing his entourage to submit to quiet indignities.

But first, let’s reflect on why Fukuyama is irrelevant.

In 1989, euphoric like many policy wonks and pundits who witnessed the collapse of the Soviet Union and the rise of a strong (although globalist-aligned) United States, Fukuyama declared “The End of History” had come, even though he added a question mark to the title for respectability (Just asking questions, perhaps?). Liberal democracy overcame autocracy and dictatorship. No political apparatus could conjure up a better system for governing a country and its people. All the other formulas: corporatism, fascism, communism, had clearly failed.

It’s important to recall that Fukuyama served in the Bush 41 administration, the same President who presided over the denouement of Soviet Communism. He would then announce the launching of a “New World Order,” one which countered the importance—even necessity—of different borders, languages, and cultures.

War in Iraq, the rise of radical Islam, and the resurgence of communist yearnings in Western countries all signaled that intellectuals’ heralding a world with free markets and democratic governments as the cure was premature.

In truth, like many intellectual second-hand dealers in other people’s ideas, Fukuyama was riding the coattails of inscrutable philosopher G. W. F. Hegel, the German Enlightenment thinker who did more to occlude philosophical discourse than enlighten. Hegel’s major claim to fame was expanding Immanuel Kant’s theory of mind (we perceive reality and cause as a fusion of analytic and synthetic propositions) to the cosmic order. All of history, religion, culture, everything could be understood via the Dialectic of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis.

Of course, such musings eviscerated distinctions of right and wrong. Historians trafficking in outlining large themes and systems to explain a supposed Weltgeist working throughout History (note the capital letter!) have come up short, too.

Hegel announced The End of History with the Battle of Jena in 1806, in which the liberalizing forces of Napoleon and the French Empire crushed the Germanic Holy Roman Empire, defined by its sclerotic autocracy and tradition. Liberalism was the worldwide winner, and no system of thought would improve on this victory.

Fukuyama expanded on Hegel’s argument to suggest that the collapse of the Soviet Union affirmed this  “End of History” theorizing.

However, Hegel conveniently ignored Napoleon’s aristocratic and dictatorial tendencies, plus his insistence on imposing French rule and custom on the continent.  So too, Fukuyama did not consider the overarching concerns that trouble heads of state and their people. Human beings are not just citizens of a polis. They have familial ties, ethnic backgrounds, cultural heritages that define them. These larger measures of meaning determine the values and vision of countries far more than how they buy and sell goods and services, and whom they elect to serve as their leaders.

Civilizational states have become the guiding factor in post-Cold War politics, not a globalist assent to turn every tongue, tribe, and nation into a composite of consumers and companions.

Fukuyama was wrong, and he was naively wrong. Fukuyama was wrong, and President Trump is the Grand American repudiation of his wrong beliefs.

Now, let us explore key errors in his latest critique of President Trump:

It was both painful and humiliating to watch the media coverage of Donald Trump's recent visit to Beijing because it amply demonstrated America's decline as a great power relative to China. Prior to the summit, expectations were very low. Trump was in a weakened position, beset by inflation and declining popularity, while seeking Chinese help in getting out of the Iran trap that he had created for himself.

Granted, Trump is in a tough spot. He took on Iran. He fulfilled a pledge that previous Presidents had discussed but never accomplished. Rationing and lack of exploration defined American energy policy in the 1970s and 1980s. President Trump’s drive for energy production and independence has placed the country on better footing for a protracted war with Iran.

The worst part of the visit was Trump's constant sycophancy, exclaiming that Xi was a great leader, really a friend, someone from central casting. He effused again and again about how beautiful and impressive China was.

President Trump is a deal maker. He says nice things about people (even Putin!), but then turns the screws on them afterwards. Trump took down Maduro. He’s squeezing Cuba of its communist tendencies. He has forced NATO to pay up, and he’s withdrawing American troops from Europe since they refused to assist his war efforts in Iran.

His failure to say anything about Taiwan's security stood in sharp contrast to Joe Biden's clear assertion that the United States would act in the defense of that country.

This comment is particularly egregious. How can Fukuyama foist any praise on the Biden Administration? The same Joe Biden who forced American armed forces to flee Afghanistan, with their tail between their legs? The same Joe Biden who communicated nothing but weakness during his failed tenure, which enticed Russia to invade Ukraine and encouraged Hamas to terrorize Israel? This is an unserious critique.

Donald Trump is a politician who is unable to see the world in anything other than personal and self-interested terms.

Fukuyama faulted Trump’s aggressive negotiations with Europe regarding NATO. He complains about Trump’s intent on acquiring Greenland. He suggests that “the United States has become something of a rogue state that is contributing to global instability and disorder as well as something of a laughingstock.”

This is Fukuyama’s festering bitterness, nothing more. Has the former Bush bureaucrat visited Washington DC in the last week, a city once mired in graffiti, trash, waste, rampant homelessness, and crime? In the last year and a half, Trump has restored our capital to greatness. He has presided over a secure border, higher wages for American workers, complemented by increased remigration of illegal migrants to their home countries. He has decommissioned entire federal departments and slashed the federal workforce to LBJ levels. Murders are at historic lows in this country. He cares about America, and he is making America great again.

Not Trump, but rather Fukuyama is projecting his own failed worldview on the President and the United States. Throughout his latest diatribe, “The End of History” pontificator goes on and on about decline, decline, decline. President Trump has demonstrated that American decline is a choice, one which has not only avoided by reverted for the betterment of the country.

Chinese Citizens Rising Up Against their Government

Look at the citizenry in the People's Republic of China!

They are rising up against the abusive COVID-19 policies imposed by the Chinese Communist Government:

And now I have to ask: what excuse does any American, any citizen anywhere else in the world have for not taking a stand against all of this abuse?

No one should tolerate such abject tyranny from their government.

No one should put up with such rampant abuse, and  if the Chinese can stand up to their autocratic regime, what excuse do you have?

Port of Los Angeles High School Teacher: Communist Radical Rachel Bruhnke

My previous posts exposing bad teachers in Torrance Unified have yielded some interesting responses.

A number or people are quite grateful that I am exposing those indoctrination agents in our midst. I also received some nasty emails from people who think that communistic hate groups like Black Lives Matter and cultural Marxist LGBT ideologies should be celebrated and treasured.

I am undeterred. There are so many people who want to speak out, but they are afraid to. They are afraid of cancel culture. They are afraid to be defamed on social media or in the public square. They do not want someone to say their names

And here's info on yet another teacher, this time in San Pedro, CA: Rachel Bruhnke.

I received this tip last week:

Arthur, there is a teacher at CSULB who is a devout communist.   She lives in San Pedro and she holds communist, pro Castro rallies (when Castro was alive) at a local coffee shop in pedro, and now holds “peace rallies” during Los Angeles harbor fleet week and calls all the navel men and women fascists and baby killers.  She makes a point of influencing young people, high school kids, and has teenagers speak at her rallies.  God knows what she does in private (and masked).

I don’t think this woman is evil or wishes harm upon anyone (although some of her group certainly do wish harm, one in particular called for the assassination of Donald Trump). I do want her to stop indoctrinating young people and college students.

As you may know, Project Veritas has uncovered a communist teacher, Gabriel Gipe, in Sacramento and has gotten that teacher fired.  If you are unaware of this recent event, I advise you to check it out on YouTube, there are tons of undercover videos etc. and a really great hour long school board meeting with parents screaming at the school board to get communists out of public education.

I wish to be an anonymous whistle blower in this case.

All I want to do is send her a message— CEASE AND DECIST and a link to the Project Veritas video of the teacher getting fired.

You are a well known conservative activist and are in a better position to call this woman out.  I do not want to get Project Veritas involved, at least not yet.  I believe that the threat will be enough.

A private message and a link the the Project Veritas video could be sent via Twitter or via facebook messenger.  I have no wish to “out” this woman as a Communist on her Twitter or Facebook.

If you are willing to do this, let me know and I will send you her information.

I found the recent Sacramento parent school board meeting inspiring and a good sign that regular folks are getting wise to all this Communist propaganda and CRT bullshit.  Let’s strike now while the iron is hot!

I told this contact that I was more than happy to oblige, but I had to explain to him that I needed to make this information public. Quietly telling rabid communists to stop screaming and yelling their Marxist ideologies in the streets on social media is not going to work. The commitment to this violent madness requires stern confrontation.

He understood, and here is some of the information that the contact sent me:

Here's her Facebook page:

She shared this image in a group called Cold War Truth Commission:

No one should sweep under the rug that the American government has done some really bad things, but it's wrong to say that the American nation and the country is all bought into this.

And the notion that the United States should never have taken a stand against global, tyrannical communism? That is nothing short of outrageous--and yet that is Bruhkne's position.

Here's what else she has posted on her Facebook page regarding America's fight in the Cold War:

Indeed, Bruhnke is a full-on, card-carrying Communist!

Check out some of her posts on social media here:

First, she shared an actually eulogy for brutal communist dictator Fidel Castro:

This is so offensive! I cannot believe that anyone would eulogize a blood-thirsty hypocrite and tyranny like Fidel Castro.

Reminder: this woman is a teacher in the classroom!

Here's another tweet:

What does she specifically want to renounce about President Ronald Reagan? That he opposed communism:

According to communists like Bruhnke, those who fought against the Soviet Union were the bad guys. Really. The Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba, and now Venezuela, they are all the good guys, doing good things for their people (rationing, sanctions, massive arrests, beatings in the streets, rampant corruption and poverty), and all the Western countries that speak up for freedom of speech, commerce etc. are somehow the bad guys. Really.

Again, I wonder how many Soviet refusniks, Venezuelan refugees, Cuban immigrants, and North Korean defectors would agree with Brunke's take on communism?

She actually wrote that China (the Chinese Communist Party) is our friend!

I wonder how the Muslim Uighurs feel about "Friendly China"?

She is clearly a champagne socialist, especially because she has the audacity to claim that Cuba is a well-run country, a perfect model of communism, all while living in one of the richest sections of Los Angeles County (and she went to Mira Costa High School, in the uber wealthy city of Manhattan Beach, CA):

If she is such a fan of Cuba, why not live there?

If Cuba is such a great country, why are so many people fleeing that country to live in the United States?!

She currently works at Port of Los Angeles High School, too. Remember what my contact shared with me:

She makes a point of influencing young people, high school kids, and has teenagers speak at her rallies.  God knows what she does in private (and masked).

You can send her an email here.

Contact information for the high school's Board of Trustees:
310-832-9201 ext. 232 (phone)

Also Contact the Port of Los Angeles Executive Director:
Eugene Seroka, Senior Administrator (310) 732-3456
Email: community@portla.org

We need answers, and we need teachers like Bruhnke to stop pushing their Marxist, Communist bigotry in the classroom!

Where Friedman Made a Mistake in Regards to Free Markets

Milton Friedman was a brillant economist, well-read and informed academic.

He brought forth a number of incredible, essential arguments to defend free enterprise and domestic economic liberty for businesses large and small. Don't get me wrong--I am all for free enterprise. Domestic economic freedom is an absolute must in any country, so that individuals can enjoy the highest standard of living possible.

BUT ... there is a place for government intervention in a number of issues.

1. Tariffs play an important role in securing the national security and interest of a country.

2. Illegal immigration and mass immigration are a bane for any country. No group of people, no mass movement of people should be permitted to overrun a country and complete change the contour and constitutional character of the nation.

This video exposes what the problem became for Milton Friedman's free market views--and Friedman himself admitted to the failure of one of his many tenets.

Check out this video from Reason Magazine here.

Friedman was convinced that the people of Hong Kong, China, elsewhere would rise up and oppose the taxpayer-funded subsidies for national businesses.

However, that never happened. Authoritarian regimes do not listen to the people whom they are supposed to care for. They do what they want. subsidize whatever businesses and interests they please. The pro-tariff arguments are stronger in these cases. Granted, tariffs can amount to a tax, but that only occurs if individuals purchase the goods from the other countries.

If authoritarian countries are subsidizing their goods and dumping them into other nations to undercut their industries, tariffs have to be imposed.

Friedman's argument in "Free to Choose" was not satisfactory for dealing with this problem. If a country lowers its tariffs in the face of countries with cheaper goods based on nationalized policies of currency manipulation and subsidies, the businesses in our country will fail and falter.

This problem occurs in Sub-Saharan countries, as well, in which Western nations offer a bunch of goods as "charity." For example, many countries will send in a bunch of free shoes to help an impoverished area. What happens, though? The local merchants go out of business, because they cannot compete with free."

Hence, the need for tariffs. The same idea is pervasive around the world. The United States was right to enact key tariffs to protect local industries against predatory policies from other countries. Open borders and open international markets can become problematic when these concerns are not taken into account.

Taiwan MassResistance Emerges! Fighting Back Against LGBT Tyranny on "Democratic" Island Nation

In Taiwan: College students form MassResistance chapter to confront LGBT agenda on campus.

LGBT influence has flooded into Taiwan since the courts & legislature forced “gay marriage” on the country.

Churches fought hard against it.

A recent important pro-family victory – at a university health center.

June 6, 2020
ALT TEXT A Christian pastor gets the deadly "George Floyd" knee-on-the-neck by police for peacefully protesting against a "gay marriage" bill outside of the Taiwanese Parliament building in 2016. (Police brutality is apparently acceptable when it promotes LGBT causes.)
In 2019, Taiwan became the first Asian country to have “gay marriage” forced on the population – clearly against the will of the majority (as detailed below). Since then, LGBT radicals have made further inroads into the schools, universities, and government. The churches, once a strong nationwide force in opposition, have been pushed aside. The battle to stem the tide is looking grim.
But recently a Taiwan MassResistance college chapter has started. And it’s gaining traction! Here is a report on an initial victory.
ALT TEXT

What happened in Taiwan?

The conservative Kuomintang Party had always ruled Taiwan. Then in 2016, the left-wing (and pro-LGBT) Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was voted into power. At that point things quickly began to change.
For years, Taiwan had been a primary target for the worldwide LGBT movement. But they had not been able to force “gay marriage” on any Asian country. Now, Taiwan seemed to be their best starting point for that.

The 2016 “gay marriage” bill in Parliament

In October 2016, a “gay marriage” bill was introduced in the Taiwanese Parliament by the DPP. It caused a huge outcry among the large conservative segment of the population. As MassResistance reported at the time, the country’s churches mobilized hundreds of thousands of people to protest. They came to Taipei, the nation’s capital, and thousands filled the streets.
ALT TEXT Taiwanese citizens, outraged at the "gay marriage" bill, flooded the streets of Taipei in 2016.
On Nov. 17, 2016, the day of the “second reading” of the bill, hundreds of church people (led by a group of pastors) surrounded the Parliament building in protest.
The police came in riot gear and were quite ruthless. They roughly forced many protesters to the ground and handcuffed them. The police made numerous arrests, including the church leaders.
ALT TEXT Police came, attacked the group of protesters, and tackled many to the ground.
ALT TEXT Pastors tied up and awaiting formal arrest outside Parliament building.
However, all of those arrested were later released and not prosecuted. The prosecutor realized that no laws had been broken! The area where they had been protesting was officially a “public square” where protesting was allowed, and they had not blocked anyone from entering or leaving the building. This had clearly been an effort by the government to intimidate and harass the opponents of “gay marriage.”
But the church protests continued relentlessly. In December, even more people filled the streets of Taipei. The pressure on legislators caused the DPP to lose its momentum on the bill, and in late December it stalled and was never voted on.

2017 - Taiwanese Supreme Court forces “gay marriage” on the country

Since they couldn’t immediately achieve their goal in the legislature, the LGBT movement employed their usual tactic: They turned to the courts. It was a relatively easy ploy; the Taiwanese courts were quite liberal, fairly corrupt, and had ties to the ruling party.
In May 2017, as the Taiwan’s Supreme Court (known as the “Constitutional Court”) took up the issue, pro-family people from across Taiwan came and protested.
Unfortunately, their protests were ignored. On May 24, the Court ruled that it was unconstitutional to deny “gay marriage” in Taiwan. The ruling gave the Parliament two years to amend the laws to accommodate it, after which "gay marriages" must be allowed.

2018 – Successful national referendum against “gay marriage”

The following year, church groups collected over 280,000 signatures to include a referendum in the November national elections. It asked two questions: “Should marriage be restricted to one man and one woman?” and “Should all LGBT ‘education’ be banned for students under 15?”
Both of those questions passed overwhelmingly – with well over 2/3 of voters approving.

2019 – Legislature ignores referendum and votes in “gay marriage”

In May 2019, the Taiwanese Legislature, still controlled by the left-wing DPP, went along with the Court ruling and passed a law legalizing “gay marriage.”  They ignored the clear will of the voters.
But this time, the church response was forced to be muted. Earlier that year the government changed the accounting rules to require churches to make the names of their donors public, and account for how they spent their money. This was done purposely to cause fear of being involved with any anti-government activity. And it was (and continues to be) effective.

The surge of LGBT “education” begins

Almost immediately after the “gay marriage” law was passed and signed into law, the LGBT machine went into high gear.
The legislature has clearly ignored the referendum about “LGBT education” – there are widespread reports of hardcore LGBT propaganda and ideology from elementary school right up into the colleges. Many parents are extremely upset to find out what their children are being taught in their local schools – but feel powerless to do anything. The government has become very intolerant of dissenters in this area.
Not surprisingly, the “Gay Pride” parades are now more perverted and degrading than ever.
ALT TEXT Perversions are now being pushed in the public square in Taiwan.

ALT TEXT Mocking Jesus. As we've seen everywhere else, there is more and more overt anti-Christianity as the LGBT movement gains steam.

MassResistance college group forms!

One positive note is that Taiwan does not (yet) have an entire generation of young people who have been intimidated and propagandized since early childhood by the LGBT movement.
Last year, we were contacted by a very determined Taiwanese college student who was very upset at what was happening in his university – and across his country. Since then we’ve helped him build a Taiwan MassResistance chapter in his area.
Our MassResistance activist surprised the university by letting them know that there was active opposition to LGBT propaganda. For example, at the recent Winter Solstice event at his university, the moderator began showing slides of homosexual men kissing (among other things) and began lecturing the students about “gender equality” and “feminism from a male perspective.”
ALT TEXT Slide of men kissing - at the Winter Solstice event.
Here’s what our MassResistance student later told us:
My school held a winter solstice activity. Usually, the major content is making traditional food for winter solstice. But the health office suddenly added LGBT issues and gender equality into the activity. Later a professor talked about feminism from a male perspective.
I filed a complaint the day after the activity to the dean of student affairs. I asked the dean to keep the LGBT talk out of the presentation, and demanded that they check contents before the activity. They didn’t seem to know how to respond.
I was told by a friend of mine that the college is doing gender equality presentations so they can get more government subsidies.

Stopping the University Health Clinic propaganda

Earlier this year, the student health center at National Quemoy University put up a poster in their window promoting homosexuality and transgenderism. This was very offensive to our Taiwan MassResistance group, which has seen our book The Health Hazards of Homosexuality.
ALT TEXT
One of our activists contacted the Dean of Student Affairs to complain. He then reached out through social media to other students and activist groups, urging them to spread the word -- and also contact the Dean of Students as well as the health clinic.
ALT TEXT Here's one post that Facebook didn’t get around to deleting! The text above the picture is telling viewers to comment on the website and call the health department to register outrage and opposition to the pro-gay poster in the window.
From what we’ve heard, a lot of students reacted. Five days later, the health clinic took down the poster!

Enduring the attacks on free speech in Taiwan

This hasn’t been easy. The attacks on free speech have gone from bad to worse in Taiwan.
During the presidential elections in the country earlier this year, the police began investigating some of our Taiwan MassResistance activists for their views on homosexuality. The government had seen their posts critical of the incumbent president, Tsai-Ing Wen, because she helped impose “gay marriage.”
One of our activists even faced a lawsuit from an LGBT activist because he had spoken out against homosexuality! Thankfully, the courts threw the case out. But the fact that someone got sued for speaking on this issue just shows how dangerous the country is becoming!
Other attacks are coming from large organizations. For example, a new well-funded non-profit organization called “Equal Love Taiwan,” says its mission is to “fight against homophobia.” In other words, they are using their resources to actively stamp out any expression in the public square of the natural aversion to homosexuality.
ALT TEXT Equal Love Taiwan banner with slogan: "Queer Day - Good Day"

Final thoughts

As MassResistance has explained to many people in countries throughout the world, the LGBT agenda does not stop with gay marriage. It is a springboard to force the normalization of homosexuality (as well as transgenderism) into every facet of public life.
And – as in the US – it is followed by a wave of oppression against anyone who dares to disagree.
We believe that it’s critical that citizens stand up to this as quickly as possible, and in as many ways as they can think of. Small steps lead to big steps. We’re thrilled to have a group of Taiwan MassResistance college students who are willing to do that!

Hong Kong Pro-Democracy Activists: Pro-Gay, Pro-Che, Pro-Communist

Check this out!

Pro Democracy Activists in Hong Kong are
Pro-Gay and Pro-Che?!
In previous posts, I have reported that the so-called pro-democracy movement has some very anti-democratic elements with it.

First, I pointed out that Joshua Wong, the self-described youth leader assisting with the democracy movement, has admitted to some very socialistic thinking and positions. He believes that capitalist hegemony must be confronted, whatever that means.

Joshua Wong

He is also militant pro-homosexual and transgender. He supporters the Sexual Orientation (Anti-)Discrimination Ordinances, which would grant so-called rights (in reality, more privileges and pre-eminence) to homosexuals and transgenders in the Special Administrative Region.

If anyone has been paying attention to the widespread consequences of the LGBT movement around the world, they know that the LGBT juggernaut brings in its wake more government control and statist sanction, i.e. more tyranny, not less. How many free-thinking individuals in Hong Kong will face persecution, fines, even imprisonment for speaking out against homosexuality and transgenderism?

These behaviors are inherently destructive and deviant, they post untold costs on the public, they undermine human capital, and the harm the political, cultural, and moral legacies of any country.

Why would pro-democracy activists want to undermine the natural rights they seek to enhance?

Jimmy Sham, Hong Kong Gay "Rights" Activist

And of course, there's Jimmy Sham, the militant LGBT activist who has gone to every length to connect the push for democratic governance in Hong Kong with the greater push to normalize and promote the LGBT agenda.

And now look at the strange(r) bedfollows (no pun intended) that Mr. Sham is keeping:
The young man in the featured photo above on the right is Jimmy Sham.

On the left, you can see that the other man is wearing a shirt sporting the headshot of bloodthirsty Communist Ernesto "Che" Guevara.

Why would any pro-democracy activist dare to promote Che Guevara?!

Che Guevara was a pampered, middle-class Argentinian brat who went full commie to make something of himself. He was responsible for unprecedented blooshed and mayhem against freedom-fighters around the world. He was pro-China, pro-Beijing, pro-tyranny.

Don't believe me? Check out this photo:

Che Guevara in the center with Chairman Mao

And here's Che Guevara warmly greeting Mao ZeDong:

Why would any pro-democracy activist in Hong Kong celebrate a communist thug who was friendly with the Chinese Communist Party?! Mao ZeDong is the father and architect of the Chinese Communist Party? Why would any pro-democracy activist celebrate Che Guevara?!

Ernesto "Che" Guevara routinely executed political opponents.

He lived off the work of others, doing nothing for others in return.

He was ultimately executed by firing squard, begging for his life, pleading with them that he was worth more to his "capitalist" captors alive. He was ready to sell out the Communist dream he had fought for for years just to keep himself alive and well.

Che Guevara was certainly no democrat! A ruthless autocrat who imposed the religion of materialist envy and strife on the impoverished island nation of Cuba, Guevara should not be celebrated in any fashion.

Aren't these Hong Kong activists supposed to be against The Communist Party of China? Aren't they supposed to oppose any promotion of Communism? This a sickening display of strange bedfollows, indeed.

The Hong Kong pro-democracy movement is pro-gay and now pro-CHE!

Unreal. Unacceptable. Unconscionable!

People of Hong Kong need to wake up! They need to promote liberty and constitutional rule, meaning that the natural rights of all are protected from both the majority as well as the tyranny of the minority. Democratic governance is nothing more than mob rule when there are no strictures in place to protect the rights of all citizens, nor to ensure that constitutional rule is in place to protect those rights and limit the role of the government.

What we are witnessing in Hong Kong, sadly, is a promotion of demagoguery under the guise of anti-Beijing rebellion. Why rebel against one Communist regime, only to usher in another one?

The Coronavirus: Sobering Reminder that We Are Not All-Powerful

Such a Positive Message in such dark times. Read on...

 *QUIET CHINA*
*Written by a Chinese person sent to a brother in Istanbul via friends in Singapore*

The hustle and bustle of China finally quieted down, the restless society finally calmed down, and the restless Chinese people gradually calmed down.
The *Wild Animals* that were once held by humans in cages finally managed to *Keep Humans in "Cages"*
Humans finally lowered their proud head and begun to think quietly: Are we still the king of the earth? *Mankind finally felt the power of Nature once again*
In the face of the threat of death, human beings have only begun to reflect seriously, only to realize that a lack of awe-inspiring social atmosphere will lead to more harm and more risks.
The greedy heart is being purified by the virus, and the mouth that loves to eat is being punished by the virus. The people who have been soaking in the bright red and green places all day have been driven home by the virus, saying.... *Go home*
There are fewer and fewer people on the street, few cars on the road,
*The Air is getting Fresher...., the Haze is gone..., the Sky is getting Bluer...., the Sun is getting Brighter...., Family Lives are getting Warmer, Harmonial, and Cordial and People's hearts have become more and more Calm*
People who haven’t read for Years have picked up books at home. Parents and children who had no communication with their children, couples who couldn’t speak few words a year have opened up the conversation box. Children who did not know how to respect the elderly has also begun to be filial.
The virus taught human beings a vivid and profound lesson. It made us understand awe. It also let us know what is called *"Good Times"*. It also made us feel true love on earth. It made us gradually fall in love  *"Return to the Road"*, we really should be grateful for this *"Enemy"*, we need such an "enemy" to give us *Reminder"* and give us *"Empowerment"*
The virus will not leave so quickly, it needs to see the *"Cultivation" of human's good habits*, and the virus will not continue to rag, because *Human love will gather more power* to keep the virus away, time will tell us everything, Time will also prove what is right.
*_THE VIRUS 🦠 REMINDED US THERE IS AN ALMIGHTY. AND HUMANS R JUST HUMANS._*

This verse comes to mind afte reading the above meditation:

"Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment." (Isaiah 41:1)

MassResistance Moves to Hong Kong!

Hong Kong MassResistance – our newest chapter! Taking on the “gay marriage” fight in their country.

Also part of the battle: how the gov't defines "transgender"

August 21 2017
Chinese version of the MassResistance video "What gay 'marriage' did to Massachusetts is shown to parishioners at a Catholic Mass in Hong Kong.
Our newest MassResistance chapter, Hong Kong MassResistance, is off and running! Led by a Catholic priest and a core group of eight veteran Hong Kong pro-family activists, they held their initial meeting on July 15 in Kowloon.
There are serious concerns and fears in Hong Kong that the LGBT movement has targeted the country to force “gay marriage” there, followed by the rest of their agenda in the society and schools.

The core group of Hong Kong MassResistance at their inagural meeting on July 15.
In general, Hong Kong is very socially conservative – much more so than Britain, which controlled it until recently and established its social and political institutions. Marriage is strictly one man and one woman, and the government now vigorously supports that.
But much of the media there has become aggressively liberal, and is working to help push the LGBT movement. This has upset many people, and was an impetus for forming the Hong Kong MassResistance chapter.

The “gay marriage” fight in the Hong Kong courts

The big threat in Hong Kong right now is “gay marriage.” The LGBT movement knows it cannot win through government action or public opinion. So they are trying to force it through the courts – as they did in the US and recently in Taiwan.
However, the courts in Hong Kong do not appear to have the powers to broadly change the country’s laws, completely unchecked, as done in the US. The other branches of the government can decide to use appeals and other methods to thwart blatantly activist courts.
Thus, the LGBT movement’s strategy has been to push hard to attack relatively small marriage issues that could be used to bring “gay marriage” into the country using legal technicalities.
For example, two recent cases involved minor issues meant to push eventual ‘gay marriage’:
  • A Hong Kong man who had a “sex change” operation was allowed to change his government identification to female. He then tried to marry another man. He went to court and initially lost. But in 2013, an Appeals Court ruled that the marriage should be allowed, given the current ambiguity in the law. But the ruling was put on hold until the law on “gender recognition” could be better defined by the legislature. (This also points to another issue Hong Kong MassResistance realizes it must take on: so-called “transgender rights.”)
  • A homosexual Hong Kong government bureaucrat went to New Zealand and “married” his boyfriend. He then tried applied to get Hong Kong government spousal benefits for his “husband”, and was denied because of Hong Kong’s law defining marriage. A court ruled in his favor. But the government is appealing that ruling.
The LGBT movement is clearly fighting hard to advance their agenda.

As a result, there is a move to alert the population to the dangers of “gay marriage” and get the government to tighten the laws and become even more aggressive about defending these cases in court. Also, there needs to be pressure put on the government as it moves to define “gender recognition” regarding the “transgender marriage” case.
Hong Kong MassResistance recognizes that we need to get involved with these issues.

Special Hong Kong version of MassResistance marriage video

Unlike the rest of China and Taiwan which speaks Mandarin Chinese, the people of Hong Kong speak the Cantonese dialect of Chinese. Both dialects use the same Chinese characters, but the words sound much different. Therefore, a special Cantonese version of the MassResistance video, “What gay marriage has done to Massachusetts,” was created for Hong Kong. (There is also a Mandarin version of our video that is used in Taiwan.)

Getting the truth out!

On May 27 and 28, Hong Kong MassResistance showed the video to 400 people at three Catholic Masses. They will also be promoting the video in Hong Kong Catholic newspapers. In addition to that, of course, they are promoting the video across the country.
The HK-MR core group will meet again this month and work on plans to expand their reach and discuss coordinating with other groups, and strategies to be as effective as possible. They are also designing an official Hong Kong MassResistance logo – appropriately with the text in both Chinese and English.

The Hong Kong MassResistance group is a great addition to the worldwide battle! We will keep you informed on their progress.
