When leftists – particularly LGBT activists – see a lone conservative boldly standing up to their ideology, they do everything they can to destroy the person, the person’s family life, and even the person’s ability to earn a living.

Unfortunately, most pro-family groups do little or nothing to fight this. They usually just sit on the sidelines. But MassResistance jumps right in and battles right back! If you’ve been following us, you’ve seen us in action recently stopping “cancel culture” in New Jersey, Wisconsin, Canada, and Idaho. It makes a difference!

A nurse speaks out on social media

Elaine works as a nurse in the suburbs of Topeka, Kansas. She works for a company that sends her to various places in the area where a nurse is needed.

When Elaine was younger, she was a victim of sexual assault. She is very much against men being allowed in women’s restrooms and locker rooms. She sees the entire transgender movement as medically and psychologically dysfunctional and delusional. It’s especially dangerous for children. In other words, she tells the politically incorrect truth.

She does not discuss her opinions during work. But over the past year, she has been very vocal on social media.

Not surprisingly, her posts have attracted abuse from leftist online trolls, especially transgender activists. But that hasn’t bothered her. She feels strongly about telling the truth in the face of destructive political correctness.

Then on October 9, 2024, she received a frightening letter from the Kansas State Board of Nursing. It said:

The Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) has received information that you may have violated the Kansas Nurse Practice Act… It is alleged that you have been using social media to attack the transgender population, and to debase healthcare processes.

The letter went on to say that an investigation has begun on this case.

It was shocking! Elaine was basically telling the truth. Her first reaction was that it was a witch hunt.

A close look at the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, referenced in the letter, reveals that it does not prohibit or even address a nurse’s private social media use. Nor does it mention transgenderism as a prohibited or protected issue.

Moreover, the Kansas State Board of Nursing is appointed by the Democrat governor of Kansas, Laura Kelly. Gov. Kelly recently vetoed a bill that would ban transgender mutilation of children. It’s widely believed that this board is solidly in line with the governor’s pro-LGBT thinking. Transgender activists had obviously communicated to the board about Elaine.

Attacks against Elaine increase

After the board’s letter about the opening of the investigation, LGBT activists and their allies filed numerous complaints against Elaine to the Kansas State Board of Nursing. They wanted her nursing license to be revoked, and make sure she would not be able to work as a nurse again.

In addition, the level of the online attacks against Elaine expanded to vicious doxing and threats. Unhinged transgender activists posted her home address. They exposed where her children went to school. They even began publishing libelous attacks against her husband. They made harassing phone calls to Elaine’s home, too.

Kansas MassResistance team fights back

In mid-November, our Kansas MassResistance team connected with Elaine. She was thrilled to have our help!

Our activists went to work defending Elaine online – and stomping the leftist trolls attacking her and her family. The leftists certainly weren’t used to the treatment we gave them – and began backing off. They tried attacking us, but of course, that didn’t work.

Our Kansas activists also filed numerous statements in support of Elaine with the nursing board. They also contacted members of the board to express their displeasure about this illegitimate action being taken against her.

Kansas Attorney General weighs in

The flood of online attacks against Elaine – and the absurd charge by the Kansas State Board of Nursing – brought the issue to prominence in Kansas. Kansas Attorney General Kris Korbach, a Republican, was asked to weigh in. Here’s what he said on social media:

Actually, this would not be prosecuted by the Attorney General. The nursing board would be the making the decision. But his statement was certainly significant!

Elaine wins!

On December 9, the Kansas State Board of Nursing concluded its investigation and met to make a decision. Several Kansas MassResistance activists attended the meeting to show support for Elaine. The board members immediately left the meeting room and discussed it in private – but they got the message.

A few days later, Elaine received a letter with their one-sentence decision:

The Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) decision was to inactivate (close) the case.

Elaine had won!

During their “investigation,” the nursing board investigator admitted to Elaine that all the complaints against her were about her social media posts. None of the complaints were about actual work as a nurse.

Thus, the charge against her was completely baseless and frivolous – since private social media posts are not prohibited or even addressed in the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. As Elaine had said, it was simply a witch-hunt by the leftists.

Moving forward to stop future abuses

After the decision, we filed a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request to see the actual complaints filed against Elaine. The nursing board clearly did not want to release them. They charged as much money as legally possible and (possibly illegally) blacked out the names and addresses of the filers. But it appears that most of the complaints came from across the country. And the British-style spelling of certain words suggests that they even came from foreign countries!

Several Kansas MassResistance activists have contacted state legislators about providing a legal remedy so this kind of abuse won’t happen in the future. It includes limiting the ability of Kansas licensure boards to investigate professionals simply because of their political opinions or speech outside of work hours. This type of cancel culture must be stopped!

Final thoughts

With the momentum from the Trump administrations bold executive actions to protect citizens, the conservative movement needs to start being aggressive about completely stopping the Left’s “cancel culture” against us.

The family in Campbell County, Wyoming being targeted by the fired library director’s federal lawsuit is not intimidated. The have responded with a strong Motion to Dismiss that debunks everything the lawsuit charges them with.

Outrageous lawsuit against local family

Former Campbell County Library Director Terri Lesley was fired by the Library Board this past July for refusing to follow the Board’s new policy regarding obscene books. In a bizarre and outrageous move, on September 27, Lesley filed a federal lawsuit against local citizens Hugh and Susan Bennett and their adult son Kevin.

The Bennetts did what people around the country are doing. They spoke up at public meetings about the sexually graphic books in their public library. Hugh wrote about the problem in a paper he publishes. And they asked the county prosecutor to decide whether the state obscenity laws are being violated.

Even though the Library Board – not the Bennetts – fired her, Lesley chose to harass that family. Her absurd list of alleged offenses includes violating the so-called Ku Klux Klan Act, unlawful and unconstitutional conduct, civil conspiracy, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and “abuse of process” claims.

The lawsuit is clearly meant not only to punish the Bennetts, but to terrorize other parents into silence. Lesley is being represented by a far-left Colorado-based “attack” lawyer who worked with the LGBT organization Wyoming Equality to get a federal judge to strike down Wyoming’s gay marriage ban. The lawyer has said, “I like to go back there [to Wyoming] and just mess with the state as much as I can.”

The Bennetts are being represented by a solid law firm in Florida that appears to be extremely skilled at dealing with this sort of “lawfare” case.

Fighting back with powerful motion to dismiss

The Motion to Dismiss basically debunks everything in Lesley’s lawsuit. It’s a great read! For example:

• The text of the lawsuit is largely incendiary rhetoric and descriptions of actions of others in the community, with very few factual allegations of the Bennetts’ actions.
• The Ku Klux Klan Act claim is utterly ridiculous. Nothing in that act remotely connects to anything the Bennetts did.
• The “civil conspiracy” charge does not square with the legal definition. And Lesley fails to identify any “right” that is protected from these so-called conspiracies.
• Lesley’s attempt to claim “defamation” is beyond the one-year statute of limitations, so it cannot apply. Even so, it does not square with the legal requirements of defamation liability. And since Lesley is a public figure, that also disqualifies her from making this charge.
• Regarding alleged “intentional emotional distress,” Lesley cannot cite any “extreme and outrageous conduct” by the Bennetts or facts to back up the “severe emotional distress” that she supposedly endured.
• Lesley is not able to describe any actual “unlawful and unconstitutional conduct.” The Bennetts, like all other citizens, have broad First Amendment rights to criticize public officials. Lesley cannot be permitted to make a claim against them for expressing their opinions.
• Lesley’s allegations do not square with the requirements for an “abuse of process” claim. Her charges about the Bennetts contacting the Sheriff concerning the books (that they maliciously filed a false claim) are basically the opposite of what actually happened. The Bennetts simply filed a complaint asking the local authorities to determine if there was a violation of the law. It took the Sheriff and County Attorney considerable time and research to come to a conclusion.
• Lesley’s lawsuit attempts to blame the Bennetts for the Library Board firing her. Lesley was a public figure and government official who placed herself in the forefront of an incredibly divisive issue being debated throughout our country.

As the Motion to Dismiss concludes:

At its heart, Plaintiff’s Complaint takes issue with the public advocacy performed by Defendants (successfully). That is not a basis for civil liability under the Ku Klux Klan Act, common law civil conspiracy, common law defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, or abuse of process. This Court should dismiss Plaintiff’s Amended Complaint with prejudice.

Anti-SLAPP laws exist to stop such harassment of citizens

In 33 states (though not in Wyoming), citizens are protected from this disgusting sort of “lawfare” harassment by anti-SLAPP laws.

What is SLAPP? Short for strategic lawsuits against public participation, SLAPP lawsuits have become a common tool for intimidating and silencing criticism through expensive, baseless legal proceedings.

Wikipedia’s description: “In a typical SLAPP, the plaintiff does not normally expect to win the lawsuit. The plaintiff's goals are accomplished if the defendant succumbs to fear, intimidation, mounting legal costs, or simple exhaustion and abandons the criticism. In some cases, repeated frivolous litigation against a defendant may raise the cost of directors and officers liability insurance for that party, interfering with an organization's ability to operate. A SLAPP may also intimidate others from participating in the debate.”

Anti-SLAPP laws are meant to provide a remedy to SLAPP lawsuits. The intent is to prevent people from using courts, and potential threats of a lawsuit, to intimidate people who are exercising their First Amendment rights.

Anti-SLAPP laws typically include provisions for an expedited process to dismiss meritless lawsuits early in the litigation process. They often provide for the recovery of attorney's fees and other costs incurred by the defendant in defending against the SLAPP lawsuit.

Unfortunately, Wyoming does not have an anti-SLAPP law. But MassResistance has already begun working with legislators in Wyoming (and other states) to change that!

 These Black Lives Matter activists thought they would intimidate our rally. But it didn't work out that way! Note one of our people in back with American flag.

It’s becomingly frighteningly commonplace. Our side will hold a demonstration, or a rally, or even host a speech. A group of leftists – including BLM or Antifa types, LGBT activists, or others – will find out about it and show up to intimidate the participants, or even disrupt the event, often with angry and profane signs and shouting.

Conservatives often react by trying to ignore them. But generally, the radicals pretty much accomplish their goal of intimidating people and causing some level of disruption.

Conservatives tend to look at them as simply “people like us” who have a different opinion, and maybe get carried away a bit.

MassResistance takes a different approach. First of all, we see these people for what they really are: dysfunctional on some level. They are hateful and angry. Their seemingly unhinged venom and profanity are a projection of that. There’s never any “good humor” or “joking around” to be found among them. As a group, they’re pretty miserable.

And like all classic bullies, they are actually cowards inside. So they need to be treated as one would treat any bully: direct confrontation.

In the interest of enlightenment, we’ve put together a video below from this past year to illustrate our approach. The first clip in the video is from an “Anti-BLM/Pro-Police” rally we organized last summer next to the police station in El Segundo, CA. A group of Black Lives Matter activists found out about it and held a vulgar and disgusting counter-protest across the street. A few of us walked over and proceeded to ask them some pointed questions, while reminding them that “All lives matter.” You’ll see what happens!

The second clip in the video was at a sidewalk “Stop the Steal/Recall the Governor” sign-holding at a street in Torrance, CA a few months later. An angry leftist comes to scream at and intimidate us. To her shock and surprise, we confronted her and chased her away!

Not free of an agenda, and certainly not free of hate

Their latest target? The Hobby Lobby Corporation, which has informed its work force that the company will stay open, because the owners of the company trust God and His goodness in the midst of the Coronavirus problem in the United States.

Instead of minding the business and well-being of their readers (then again, if they did that, they would have shut down their website right away), Queerty went on the attack:

As more and more major retailers across the nation temporarily close their doors in an effort to protect their employees’ health and control the spread of coronavirus, Christian crafting superstore Hobby Lobby is conducting business as usual.

Last week, Hobby Lobby managers received a memo from CEO David Green informing them that all stores must remain open because his wife, Barbara, who he describes as a “prayer warrior,” spoke to God and he told her he’s got everything under control.

“In her quiet prayer time this past week, the Lord put on Barbara’s heart three profound words to remind us that He’s in control,” Green wrote. “Guide, Guard, and Groom.”

The evangelical billionaire’s letter continued: “We serve a God who will Guide us through this storm, who will Guard us as we travel to places never seen before, and who, as a result of this experience, will Groom us to be better than we could have ever thought possible before now.”

For all the talk about "Love is Love" and "Love Trumps Hate," pro-gay magazines and LGBT websites demonstrate a great deal of bitterness and hostility. Why so much hurt and harm for people of faith?

Like some of the lawmakers in California, homosexual activists and their corrupting allies believe that faith, religious sentiment, and Biblical truth are hateful and harmful because they do not condone homosexual conduct and transgenderism. The truth is, however, that there is nothing more loving than announcing the truth to individuals, so that they may be set free. It's not hate to speak the truth. It is hate to denigrate others and undermine their natural rights and dignity before God.

Homosexual conduct is not dignified, and it undermines the dignity of those who engage in the conduct. Of course, this unfettered hatred from the LGBT should suprise no one:

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;" (Romans 1:18)

Hobby Lobby's owners are choosing to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). I commend them for their bold decision to continue operations as much as possible, and that they are rejected the fearful, hysterical counsel of a world gone mad.

If Queerty insists on shaming businesses that wish to provide goods and services to others, they may end up like GayStarNews, which was forced to close down last year for lack of views, reviews, and thus revenues!

Dear Mayor Houston and Spruce Grove City Council,

It has come to my attention that the City is voting on the proposed ban on so called Conversion Therapy today, Monday March 23.  I find it disgraceful that you would choose to vote on this controversial matter, which is of great public interest, during a pandemic lock down.  

This ban is a massive overreach with extreme consequences which should not be dealt with by the city.  The Mayor and city council were elected to manage the city and its infrastructure.  Not to take on political social justice matters advanced by political LGBTQ lobby groups.

The city has been well informed that there is absolutely no evidence to support the lie that Conversion Therapy is transpiring in any district in Spruce Grove or for that matter anywhere in Canada.  True Conversion Therapy consisted of treatments such as electroshock, castration and institutionalization.  It is deceitful to use this term in relation to much needed reparative therapy, counselling and talk therapy.

The individuals behind this agenda are LGBTQ Political activists, such as Kristopher Wells, who are determined to strip parents of their Constitutional rights, undermine the structure of the natural family and the church and gain control of vulnerable youth in order to sterilize and mutilate them.  Science is not on their side so instead they have gone to the lowest of lows and created this grand deception that Conversion Therapy is going on in places such as church basements throughout this nation...without "any" evidence to support this.

The term Conversion Therapy is being used to create a surge of sympathy and victimize non-existent victims in order to manipulate your vote.

To arbitrarily change the definition of Conversion Therapy to support a politically charged agenda is something that must be challenged especially when that definition is absent of reality.  If conversion therapy were to be redefined, an accurate redefinition, based on what is actually transpiring, should read:

• “any practice, treatment or service designed to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity from their biological sex to a reassigned sex, or sexual preference, in an effort to ‘prohibit’ sexual attraction or sexual behaviour between persons of the opposite sex.. This would ‘include’ hormonal therapy and sex reassignment surgery”.

Defining conversion therapy accurately is imperative since the city plans to making it an offence.  

The ban threatens to criminalize therapy only for those who are providing counsel to individuals who are seeking healing and wholeness which may, or may not, lead to a life outside of the homosexual or trans life.  It does not criminalize those who are giving counsel to individuals to pursue sex reassignment surgery and hormone therapy or the doctors responsible for mutilating a child’s or adult’s body and injecting them with dangerous hormones.  In this instance, the city actually provides a clause exempting any criminal culpability.

Many children questioning their gender or same sex attraction do so because they have experienced childhood trauma such as sexual abuse or other forms of abuse.  It is critical these children receive reparative therapy to talk through this in order to give them the best possible chance of living a healthy and productive life.  Who are you to prohibit them from getting the help they need?

The fact that you would even consider a one sided demanded that only leads to harmful drugs and the sterilization and mutilation of children is appalling.   Those who pursue sex reassignment surgery have a 19X greater risk of committing suicide.  Are you grasping the enormity of the death sentence you are placing on minors when you vote in favour of this By-law?  

Further, there is mounting evidence to support the rise in gender dysphoric children is due to their indoctrination via the Comprehensive Sexuality Education curriculum mandated by the UN and currently in schools across Alberta.  A heavy handed LGBTQ propaganda tool disguised as anti-bullying.   Drag Queen story hours and Drag Queen performers are further twisting the minds of our children and now that our trusted leaders have completely interfered with their natural thinking regarding their biology, they are coming up with this draconian move to ban critical therapy.  Leaving parents and minors with the only option to move toward harmful drugs and sex reassignment surgery wherein perfect healthy bodies parts are permanently removed!   Including sterilizing children through penectomies (removal of penis) and hysterectomies.

The State sponsored abuse of our children is reprehensible and Canadians will not continue to permit it nor will we allow our constitutional rights to be desecrated by a small group of activists. 

It is critical that the City understand medical malpractice suits and legal action is commencing and will indeed be pursued in the very near future should you refuse to take the appropriate action and dismiss this action. Eg. Tavistock   Case of 6 yr old Cdn. girl

In the United States eight state legislatures have tabled bills to prohibit the sterilization and mutilation of minors (under the age of 18).  Doctors could face jail time and fines if they provide puberty blocking drugs.  
Missouri, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma, Colorado, South Carolina, Kentucky, and South Dakota and growing daily....#9  Idaho

Drag Queen Story hours are also being banned throughout the US.  Stiff consequences are being imposed on public libraries due to children being psychologically abused and sexually groomed at Drag Queen Story Hours.  Missouri,   Wisconsin,  Texas,  Etc.

Every elected official is on notice...anyone supporting this abuse of our children will not be supported in future elections.  

Therefore, I request that you vote NO to this deceitful and unsubstantiated Conversion Therapy Prohibition BYLAW C-1103-19.
