Election 2018: Indiana GOP Challenger Wins Primary Straw Poll

Arthur,
Our strong grassroots campaign is gaining more momentum.
Just last week Luke won the Grassroots Conservatives straw poll in Bloomington, beating all six of his primary opponents.
Luke’s record as a principled conservative and strong Trump ally proves he will stand up for Hoosier interests and repair the broken Senate, and voters all across Indiana are taking notice.
Arthur, we only have one chance to replace liberal obstructionist Joe Donnelly with a Senator who will work to enact the America First agenda Hoosiers voted for.
We need your help to keep up our campaign’s momentum, and spread Luke’s message of positivity and principled conservatism even further.
Thank you,
Chasen Bullock

President Trump: Here’s How to Assure a Happy 2018

The reports are trickling onto the blogosphere. We should expect “full Trump” in 2018. Great to hear it. I have contended with left-leaning elements in Southern California who have routinely taunted me about one or two slip-ups throughout the year. “You guys are losing! You guys are losing.” Really? Republicans have 26 trifectas, including West Virginia, when the governor Jim Justice ran as a Democrat, then switched parties. On top of that, Republicans have 7 more governorships. In spite of the epic loss in Alabama, Republicans are facing a mixed bag of action and activism across the country in 2018.

On top of that, the list of Trump’s conservative victories cannot be understated. Regulatory rollbacks have ended up cutting 22 rules for every rule introduced. We have not seen that kind of government and cost-cutting in our lifetime. Energy production is continuing at full tilt, from the Keystone and Dakota Pipelines, to the dismantling of Obama’s Clean Power Plant program, and now the tax reform package which opens up Northern Alaska to oil-drillings. These measures have been long in waiting.
The President took us out of one bad deal after another, including the TPP, the Paris Climate Accords, the UN Migration program, and NAFTA is on the chopping block. Congress should cut all funding for all the Agenda 21 nullities in blue states like California and New York.

Illegal immigration is down—way down, deportations have increased, and the border patrol is getting tough, now that the shackles have been taken off.

The tax reform package will grant massive relief to American workers across the country, allowing 91% of families to keep more of their own money, and avoid the outrageous and unjust Obamacare individual mandate.

If this is losing, the Democrats are going to flip when we really start winning! President Trump and the Republican Congress ended up racking up quite a successful year.

But hold on, President Trump. If you really plan on doubling down and showing us everything that you are made of, you need to check off the following goals on your list. Because of Alabama, I am convinced that Republican Congress losing one ruby-red senate seat lit a fire under everyone’s butts in Washington to get busy and go full MAGA.

Here’s what needs to be done:

  1. Build the wall. Prototypes are nice, but I won’t rest at ease until that force, barrier, whatever you want to call it is getting built along the Southern Border. We need that barrier especially because after you leave office, the next President and Congress may target the swift enforcement of our immigration laws, or even pass amnesty! The wall cannot be removed once it’s constructed.
  2. No DACA! Period! There is no deal that will justify any kind of amnesty. Stop pulling our chains on this very contentious prospect. (Did I mention “Build the wall”?)
  3. Because of the judicial hold-up on your lawful executive orders going after sanctuary cities and instituting travel bans, how about going after the rogue federal judges in those courts? It’s time to discuss jurisdiction stripping or funding stripping for these judicial activists. They are not the law, and they do not get to legislate away your powers. How about drawing up a list of bad judges and seeking articles of impeachment against them?
  4. Obamacare has not been fully repealed, Mr. President. I know it makes a great talking point, and the individual mandate was the heart and soul of that cruel program, but we are not done yet. When GOP Establishment squish Lindsey Graham is on your side, and when he is openly slamming Majority Leader McConnell’s intimation to back away from Obamacare repeal, you know you have a winning chance. Now that Congressional Republicans know that  they are under the gun to perform and fulfill these promises, I know that Speaker Ryan and Leader McConnell will find conservative incentives to get wayward Republicans onboard, including Dean Heller, whose re-election bid is getting more tenuous by the minute. Make this happen! Repeal Obamacare, its taxes, its subsidies, its massive regulatory burdens. Don’t let anyone hold you back from that.
  5. National reciprocity must happen next year. Congressman Richard Hudson’s bill actually passed the House in December 2017 with Democratic votes! NRA leaders were ecstatic about this victory. The Senate version should mirror the House version, with clear limits on background checks. Do it for Shaneen Allen, the single mom from Philadelphia who was arrested in New Jersey for … having a permit to carry, but not from New Jersey. This is madness.
  6. It’s time for the National Right to Work Act. The legislation was introduced early in 2017. Why the hold-up? Republicans turned the Rust Belt ruby red because of collective bargaining reforms. Your 2016 victory depended on the strength of conservative grassroots not getting mowed down by Big Labor. Your promised to get this done, so do it!
  7. We need to see indictments against Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, the Awan Brothers, and the rest of the liberal Democratic swamp that tried to undo the will of the people last year. The Deep State is not slinking away. They worked for decades for such consummate power in Washington DC. It needs to stop.
  8. Also, why not sponsor a contest among your cabinet members? The first one to systematically dismantle his or her department the fastest will be able to keep the job. The one who accomplishes the least? “You’re Fired!” While you’re at it, Trump, issue another executive order: grant civil servant managers a pay raise per percentage of taxpayer dollars they save in their respective departments. This measure will spur the incentive to cut costs.
  9. Once again, Mr. President: Build the wall, nice and tall. Add another ten feet just because.

Is this a tall order, Mr. President? Sure, but you’re up to the task. You’ve accomplished so much already, and we want to see you on a roll next year.

Not Just Tax Reform, But Major Steps Toward Obamacare Full Repeal

The Tax Reform victory is huge on many levels. President Trump achieves a major victory for all Americans. He has helped to double the child tax credit, lowered the corporate tax rate to make our country far more competitive economically.

This legislation is a big deal, too, because it repeals the individual mandate in Obamacare.

Not the best, since the legislation needs to be repealed in full, but it gets us much, much closer to getting rid of the terrible law in its entirety. Very excited about this.

Not only that, but following passage of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act, the Alexander-Murray Obamacare bailout was shelved for discussion next year.

Likely, that bill will not get passed or go anywhere. There will be no bailouts for insurance companies, which were all looking to get rich off of government largesse. Shame on Barack Obama, the corrupto-crat who was looking to make Big Business happy, all while pretending to care about working Americans and progressive ideologies. Never happened. Never.

The collapse of Obamacare is all but immanent, since no one will be forced to purchase crappy insurance that is overpriced and underwhelming. Who is going to jump into the exchanges, then, when they have no need to do so?

Forcing people to purchase a product was the height of unconstitutional, even though the arrogant Supreme Court judges insisted on upholding that terrible part of Obamacare. Finally, though, Congress did something about it.

Obamacare is still technically alive, but it is heading for a major crash and burn. I can't wait for the rest of the horrid law to be shut down for good and real free market reforms enacted.

Please, President Trump, end the rest of this horrid law. Let's put an end to government welfarism, and let's put an end to allowing illegal aliens to get health insurance on the taxpayers' dime.

Desperate Dean Heller Jumps on Judicial Nominee Train

Dean Heller is the only major Republican Swamp Creature ready to fight for his seat in the United States Senate next year.

It's not looking good for him, though, as his primary polling numbers have continued to crater against Danny Tarkanian, the outsider conservative, tea-party, pro-Trump challenger is not afraid to stand up to the Establishment.

Heller has been sending out crazy eblasts for his campaign bid, including a picture of him when he was in the late 1980s.

Now he is trying to ride of the coattails of the successful effort from Senator Chuck Grassley to put an end to the never-ending filibusters of the ruthless, obstructionist Democratic Party to President Trump's judicial nominees.

Did Dean Heller really have anything to do with this?

Nope! THis guy has been playing along with the Establishment, content to vote for what the base wants when the Republicans did not have control of the White House.

As soon as Trump shows up, however, all the campaign promises from the US Senators wilted away into nothing, and now the voters in Nevada are angry. So am I, and they need to go!

Friend--

The fact that we have so many judicial emergencies is incredibly concerning and should be a wake-up call to all Senators, especially those that are slowing down this important process.

The unprecedented obstruction by Democrats has crippled the judicial system from fully functioning and I’ve had enough of their games.

While 46 of President Trump’s judicial nominees wait to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate, liberal activist courts like the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals are overreaching and dramatically influencing public policy in our country.

Yes, it is true that the Ninth Circuit is abusive and outrageous. The federal courts working beneath the Ninth Circuit have been unjustly responsible for allowing illegal aliens to stay in the United States and violate the sovereignty of our country.

It's easy to attack an issue which someone else has already won.

It's really strange, too, that Heller wants to run under the success of President Trump, yet at the same time he refused to support the President and walked away

Democrats know they can delay the process and keep us from getting conservatives on the bench and the way to beat them is to keep the Senate in session around the clock.
We can get this done if we stop taking breaks and work until the job is done.

OK, NOW Heller wants to get busy.

Really?! What has he been doing for the last 11 months? Why did he vote against the initial repeal of Obamacare earlier this year? Why did he help torpedo other provisional repeals?

The good news is, the Senate has started to address the issue of judicial vacancies, and we have the advantage and the momentum. After the judicial confirmations this week, we will have confirmed more Circuit Court Judges in just a few months in the Senate, than Obama could in 8 years.

Let's face it--the President has been pushing through successful reforms, and he has found willing allies with some people in the United States Senate.

Heller is playing nice with conservatives now because he knows that his days are numbered. But voters are not used to getting fooled and taken advantage of forever. This game will not last forever, and it will not end will for Heller.

Final Reflection

Dean Heller is toast, but we can see why.

Heller has been feeling the heat of an angry, enraged conservative base and Republican leaders in general throughout the Silver State. They wanted real change, they wanted action, they want things to improve in their lives, and they want to see American Great Again.

He is also signaling growing support for amnesty for the DACA brats. This is wrong, and we just cannot allow this. He needs to pay attention to the needs of American citizens, and so far the outrage from the voter base has tempered his undue enthusiasm for the little illegal alien kids.

There is winning going on for the American First movement throughout the country--and that victory will include putting Heller out to early retirement.

Repealing Obamacare, for example, is another crucial part of the agenda, and yet Heller stymied these efforts earlier in the year. They had a budget reconciliation process ahead of them to push the full repeal as they had done in 2015, the repeal which they had placed on President Obama's desk, which of course he had vetoed. This abuse of power, this decision not to comply with the will and the wishes of a constitutional republic will not go unchecked.

All of this has to be faced head on, and part of that will mean the loss of Dean Heller in his re-election bid next year.

Conservative GOP Peter Kuo for CA Insurance Commissioner

I support Peter Kuo for Insurance Commissioner.

He is the one and only Republican in the race against Ricardo Lara, an openly gay, open-borders, socialist bigot who wants to force us all into socialized medicine and certain death.

Please support Peter for state insurance commissioner!
PeterKuo_logo_1005-2017.jpg

Dear Arthur,

In the past, I have been deeply honored and simply blessed by the many supporters of my campaigns. Slowly, but surely, we in the California Republican Party are making incremental change in this great state, and raising awareness about the issues facing everyday, hardworking Californians and their families.

It is for these reasons that I’m emailing you today – I wanted you to be one of the first to know what the next step in this movement will be.

Today, I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Insurance Commissioner of the State of California, representing all residents of this beautiful place I’m fortunate to call home.

The insurance industry in California and across the nation is simply failing, and the Democrats own it – they broke it. They are responsible for skyrocketing costs, increased incidence of accidents, and constant fears of uninsured or under-insured drivers on our roads.

I intend to take my 25+ years of experience representing consumers to Sacramento to start alleviating these stresses and fears. I’ve been at the side of families in their worst moments, and I know firsthand the power of feeling safe, and secure, and protected by your insurance company. We need to restore the trust between those who protect and those who need protection.

I am the only Republican in the race for Insurance Commissioner, and I bring the fiscal conservatism to the table needed to start cleaning up this mess. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty – I’m out in the field with my clients every day fixing the problems that I can.

But I can’t do it without you! If you support my message, please consider donating to my campaign here -- every contribution counts.

And of course, feel free to visit my website for more information about me & my campaign!

Thank you and God Bless!
Best,
Peter

SCF: Hey Hey! Ho Ho! Mitch McConnell Has Got To Go!

Senate Conservatives Fund
Arthur:

Americans are furious with Senate Republicans. They spent years making promises and now they're unwilling to keep them. Even worse, Senators like Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Bob Corker (R-TN) try to blame the president for their failures.

This is why the grassroots are rising up and why we're seeing conservative candidates challenge Republican incumbents in primary elections all across the country.

Nobody is safe.

Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Dean Heller (R-NV), Roger Wicker (R-MS), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and John Barrasso (R-WY) all have declared or potential challengers. More are likely to come.

Senate Republicans need to immediately change course or the voters are going to defeat them, one by one.

The best thing they can do to show the voters that they're listening is replace Mitch McConnell as their leader.

Please take a minute to send Senate Republicans a blast email message urging them to replace him.

Mitch McConnell is of the swamp, by the swamp, and for the swamp, and he must be replaced with a new leader who will fight for conservative reforms and work with the grassroots to elect more conservative senators next year.

Senate Republicans need to wake up and realize that McConnell has led them into a box canyon.

His war on conservatives has made him toxic and now he's a liability for all Republicans. He's why Luther Strange (R-AL) lost the primary in Alabama and now we're beginning to see Democrat candidates use McConnell as a weapon against their Republican opponents.

McConnell isn't going to change.

Despite being rebuked in Alabama, he is continuing to attack conservative candidates who would help the Senate enact a conservative agenda.

It's time to replace him and we need your help to send a message to Senate Republicans right now.

Thank you for standing strong for freedom. We're grateful for the opportunity to fight by your side for this great country.

Sincerely,
Ken Cuccinelli II

SCF: GOP Grassroots and now DONORS Demand New Leadership

Well, that didn't take too long, now, did it?

When the NRSC Chairman Cory Gardner tells the rest of the caucus that people are not donating, then you know that the Swamp is in big trouble.

Gardner better take a hint, too, and recognize that We the People of the United States, We Republicans are not playing games.

We want leadership, we want results, and we want our lawmakers to fulfill their promises to help Make America Great Again!

In fact, three years ago, I received an extended donation letter.

Here was my answer:

In another letter, I offered a solution: Draft Sessions!

Well, Jeff Sessions became Attorney General, so that shut out that possibility.

But that does not mean that we have to settle for such crappy leadership in the US Senate from Mitch McConnell and his accommodationist ways.

Check out what the Senate Conservatives Fund is reporting right now:

Senate Conservatives Fund

Arthur:

The Republican leadership's failure to deliver on its promises has not only upset grassroots conservatives, it's also angered many of the party's biggest financial supporters.

For years these donors have been told that if they just help the party win the House, the Senate, and the White House, party leaders will enact a conservative agenda. Many of these supporters have also been told that if they help defeat conservative primary challengers, it will build a "governing wing" that will deliver results.

These lies have now been completely exposed and many of the party's top supporters are pushing back and exercising much-needed accountability.
"Guys, the donors won't donate!"

Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), the head the NRSC, informed senators this week that "donors are furious" and that fundraising was drying up because of the failure to repeal Obamacare. In fact, one major donor said they would not donate to Republican senators "unless they pass new legislation or get new leadership."
He is not alone and that's why many top donors applauded this week when Vice President Mike Pence's Chief of Staff, Nick Ayers, told them to hold Senate Republicans accountable.

“If I were you, I would not only stop donating, I would form a coalition of all the other major donors, and just say two things,” he said. “We’re definitely not giving to you, No. 1. And No. 2, if you don’t have this done by Dec. 31, we’re going out, we’re recruiting opponents, we’re maxing out to their campaigns, and we’re funding ‘super PACs’ to defeat all of you.”

When these remarks were reported, the swamp gasped. How on earth could someone this senior in the White House encourage donors to go against incumbent Republicans? The horror!

But contrary to what the swamp wants people to believe, opposing Republican lawmakers in primary elections is not a radical idea. We have primary elections for a reason. They allow voters to pick the Republicans who will best serve them in office.

Primary elections hold Republican lawmakers accountable to the people and they make the party stronger, not weaker.

What Nick Ayers said was right and he's not alone in believing that Republicans who don't keep their promises should be replaced. That's something the grassroots have believed for years and it's good that the party's biggest backers are coming to the same conclusion.

Thank you for doing so much to help us promote conservative leadership. Because of your efforts, we are on the verge of having an earthquake election that brings real accountability to Washington.

Sincerely,
Ken Cuccinelli II

GOP (?) US Senator Explains to State Party Her Opposition to Obamacare Repeal

US Senator Susan Collins is very unpopular.

She is under attack from every angle, especially the Republican base in her own state. While she was busy dancing the Potomac Two-Step, making nice with Democrats and trying to play the centrist card and hold onto what power remaining in the center of US Senate politics.

The Maine GOP released this statement on their eblast:

We are pleased to pass along this communication to you directly from Senator Susan Collins.
To my fellow Mainers,

I wanted to explain to you directly why I opposed the Graham-Cassidy health care proposals. First, I want to assure you that I understand the flaws in the ACA (also known as Obamacare). In fact, one of the main reasons I opposed the ACA when it was passed by the Senate without a single Republican vote in 2009 was because there was nothing affordable about it. Today, too many Americans are burdened with skyrocketing premiums, unaffordable deductibles, and limited choices, and small businesses across our country are struggling.

Notice how Collins talks about "flaws". The whole law is completely flawed. The whole law needs to be scrapped. A total repeal is essential.

Obamacare is not working for many Americans, but in trying to solve the problem, it's important that we not make matters worse. Unfortunately, the Graham-Cassidy proposal would have done just that.

Repealing Obamacare would solve plenty of problems. What is the problem with those who do not understand that handing out government dollars to provide health care is not providing health care at all?!

Like Obamacare, Graham-Cassidy would have done nothing to address the budget busting and unsustainable costs of health care. And it was a bad deal for Maine. Here are just some of the problems:

  • Maine would lose $2 billion over the next ten years and billions more after that.  Numerous studies confirm this fact. The National Association of State Medicaid Directors said that Graham-Cassidy would be “the largest intergovernmental transfer of financial risk from the federal government to the states in our country’s history.”

Medicaid is turning into a Ponzi Scheme. Collins should be militantly fighting for the state of Maine to hold onto its tax dollars. The bloc grant program would have been a more efficient way for holding money within the state and getting rid of the untenable individual and employer mandates.

  • Premiums would have increased. One of the authors of the bill acknowledged this to me directly. Individuals between the ages of 50 and 64 would have been particularly hard hit.

Premiums are already increasing, and they have gotten worse because of Obamacare.

  • People with pre-existing conditions would not have been adequately protected. If you have a pre-existing condition like asthma, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, use a pacemaker, or have had a heart attack or stroke, or suffered from mental illness, you would pay even higher premiums or be subjected to annual or lifetime caps on your insurance in some states.

Maybe we need a Washington leadership that stops acting as though the government can provide everything, that the state can cover for every single health care need, including the pre-existing conditions matter. How about we start treating American voters like adults and allow them to have liberty and responsibility over their lives, including their health care and health insurance.

  • Millions more people would not have had insurance coverage. When the uninsured get sick or hurt, we all pay.

  • Maine’s hospitals would suffer, and rural hospitals and nursing homes could have been forced to close.

Maine rural hospitals are already eliminating services, such as obstetrics, oncology, pediatrics, and psychiatry. In addition to hurting medical services for Mainers, the proposal would have led to job losses at hospitals and health care providers, which are often the largest employers in the rural communities they serve.

The rural areas are losing money will the big cities, run by Big Labor Democrats, are taking all the funding. How about ensuring more quality care and control through more local control and privatization?!

One other major flaw with the Graham-Cassidy proposal is that it made one of the same mistakes that the Democrats made when they jammed through Obamacare – the bill did nothing to address the soaring cost of health care.

Yes it does! By repealing the individual and employer mandates, the costs of health insurance will go down. More jobs and productivity will abound, too.

Here is what we need to do going forward:

  1. Take action to address the cost of health care, including looking at the spiraling cost of prescription drugs, increasing transparency, and giving people more control to manage their health care.
  2. Create invisible high-risk pools such as we had in Maine under PL 90 to provide reinsurance to help control premium costs. (Rand Paul wanted to help with that)
  3. Act quickly to stabilize the insurance markets. (Government intervention is precisely what is creating the instability!)
  4. Carefully review and repair the other flaws in Obamacare. (NO! Repeal. Period)

One final note – some have suggested that Anthem’s decision to withdraw from the individual market in Maine was because the Senate failed to pass Graham-Cassidy. That is just not accurate. Anthem strongly opposed Graham-Cassidy.

The Big Business lobby wants government and government subsidy. Many of them will play up their investment in government interventions of all kinds. They are not pro-free market. They are pro-self interest and profit, at the expense of the individual consumers. This is one of the biggest, most fallacious arguments pushed by the Democrats in their drive for higher taxes and regulations. "But this business and that business want this!" So what?!

Health care affects each and every one of us and comprises one-sixth of our economy. We do need reform, but the Graham-Cassidy legislation was not the answer as was demonstrated by the fact that just last weekend the sponsors issued a fourth hastily drafted version of their bill, just days before the vote would have occurred.

I appreciate your reading this message and invite you to review the various studies and letters that are hyperlinked in this email.

Best wishes,

Susan Collins
The grassroots conservatives in Maine have had enough of their RINO US Senator. She was able to cruise on her liberal-leaning credentials as long as she continued voting in concert with the rest of her caucus. She was playing games, however, as she knew that any legislation passed out of the US Senate would die on President Obama's desk.

Collins must be in big trouble, and she knows it, precisely because she had to explain her opposition to Obamacare repeal of every sort.

This woman is in big trouble, and she knows it. She might become another cross-over, just as Arlen Specter had done in 2009. There is one lesson, however, which these centrist-liberal Republicans need to realize: in both states, the Republican brand has not only gotten stronger, it has gotten more conservative. Witness the success from Republicans to take over one chamber of the Augusta state house, the Governor's mansion, and to gain back a House seat for the first time in nearly two decades.

Collins has missed out on this conservative wave, and she is going to get washed out. Her continued opposition to repealing Obamacare, especially after having voted for repeal multiple times in the past, will be her undoing.

John McCain Killed Health Care Reform--Now He's Dying

I can't believe I voted for John McCain in 2008.

Well, actually, I shouldn't be all that surprised that I did. He was better than Barack Obama--at least he seemed that way at the time.

Now he's helping to salvage the most pernicious element of Obama's 8 year legacy of failure, destruction, and poverty on the American people.

Two times now he has helped kill repeal of Obamacare. This man is a traitor on the battlefield as well as the US Senate floor.

He wants to open the borders to illegal aliens, even though he campaigned in 2010 and 2016 to secure the borders, to "build the dang fence."

This man is not a maverick. He is a moron, and an amoral politico out for his own self-interest, with no caring nor regard for the people of Arizona or the United States of America.

Trump was right about this guy. He shouldn't have even called him a hero.

McCain is a total zero, a Big Government moderate who wants to play both sides of the fence and fancy himself a deal maker and a policy power-player.

But Trump took him down a notch on Twitter:. Here are the latest tweets from @RealDonaldTrump:
Over the past weekend, Trump was unsparing:
This tweet has turned out to be quite prophetic:

Please, Arizonans! You need to get rid of your corrupted, Establishent, neo-con, anti-populist, anti-American US Senator---make that Senators! (including Jeff the Flake!).

UPDATE --

Senator John McCain has gone under the knife and the nukes for brain cancer.

It's not looking good for the anti-Trump renegade:

"They said that it's very serious. That the prognosis is very, very serious," McCain told 60 Minutes. "Some say three percent, some say 14 percent. You know, it's a very poor prognosis. So I just said, 'I understand. Now we're gonna do what we can, get the best doctors we can find and do the best we can.' And, at the same time, celebrate with gratitude a life well lived."

I emphatically disagree with the argument that McCain's life has been well lived, considering the current political context of killing much-needed health care reforms and reneging on his promises to repeal Obamacare, build the wall, end illegal immigration, and uphold the United States Constitution.

This man has had the limited interest of promoting his neo-con, globalist agenda, aggressively expanding the size and scope of the federal government--much like the cancer crowding out his brain cells.

One could call this development a cruel form of natural justice, I suppose. Regardless of his past and present actions, brain cancer is a terrible situation. He should step down from office immediately, however, and Arizona residents need to elect someone who will actually do good for the voters and the country.
