For the record, I have never used that term to describe anyone.
Why would this anti-Trump radical refer to such a hateful term?
Whatever happened to "Love Trumps Hate"?
Now, let's take a closer look at his hateful rhetoric, and expose his statements to the truth:
1. "200 plus years ago, the first wetbacks, English settlers ...."
Here's a definition of "wetback":
Wetback: A derogatory term used to refer to foreign citizens
living in the United States, most commonly Mexicans.
Again, I do not use that term to describe anyone.
Now why would Edin do that?
He mentions "200 years ago ..."
Then he talks about "the first wetbacks."
Then who were the second wetbacks?
Irish immigrants?
Italians?
Mexican-American immigrants?
Does that mean he thinks that Mexican-Americans are wetbacks, too?
EEK!
2. "The first wetbacks, English settlers ..." Did Edin mean the Pilgrims? They did not come to the North American continent 200 years ago--they came 500 years ago. Big difference. This guy seriously needs a history lesson.

3. He claims that the "wetbacks" came to American because of "tax evasion."
Major problems here.
If he's talking about the Pilgrims, they fled England and then left Holland because they sought religious liberty and wanted to live in accordance to their conscience free from untoward secular intrusion.
It had nothing to do with money.
If he's talking about the American colonists before the American Revolution, he is way off again. The colonists as British subjects had every right to representation under Magna Carter and 1689 Bill of Rights.
Not very complicated. Again, Edin needs a history lesson.
He also should study political history and legal history, too.
Spain and by extension Mexico governed under Roman Law, which does not prioritize individual liberty and freedom of conscience.
4. He claimed that I am a "silver-spoon fed descendant."
I work for a living. My parents worked very hard for a living, as did their parents before them.
And my great-grandparents were all immigrants, which implies that they entered this country legally.
No one is silver-spoon fed. The greatest wealth anyone can accumulate rests on their earning power, their work ethic, and this is true for rich or poor.
5. "And when I say native Americans, I mean Salvadoreans, Guatemalans ..."
What does "native" mean? The root word comes from the Latin, which means "to be born."
I was born in the United States. That makes me a native American.
Also, most of the people of Mexican descent have a diverse background.
They are part European in some fashion. Just as I had shared with the Chicano activist in Downtown Los Angeles on March 18, I would like to know how much of their own DNA they would like to send back to Europe?
So, Edin, since your calculus for "Wetback" is based on those English settles, does that term also apply to anyone whose ancestors were not born in the American continents?
Does that including you, Edin Enamorado?
6. "Are we forgetting that California and Texas used to be Mexico?"
And he is forgetting that following the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, those territories were ceded to the United States.
7. "Sanctuary cities are legal, and protected by the 10th Amendment"
No they are not.
US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8:
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.
...
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization
...
Immigration laws are a federal responsibility, and cities who defy federal laws will face sanctions.
8. "The English language originated in Northwest Germany."
No, it did not.
Most of the vocabulary and syntax is actually of a North Germanic extraction: Norwegian, Swedish, and particularly Danish.

Final Reflection
It's time to speak the truth to every lie.
It's time for Americans of all backgrounds to step up and tell it like it is!
The racism revisionist history that these young people are learning ... needs to be challenged.
And when people resort to racist attacks, they need to be called on it.
