This is one of the most insightful political interviews you will hear. During a visit to the U.S. last summer, Pastor Artur Pawlowski (left) described to Arthur Schaper of MassResistance what is happening in Canada – and to him. Since that interview, events have taken an even more sinister turn. He is now in prison in solitary confinement in Canada.
Pastor Artur Pawlowski is not your run-of-the-mill Canadian. He was born and raised in communist Poland and immigrated to Canada as a young man. For many years he has been the pastor of a church in Calgary, Alberta. He is known as an uncompromising Christian who feeds the poor and defends the God-given rights of the Canadian people. He has attracted the ire of the Canadian authorities for his ongoing exposé of totalitarianism as poison to the soul.
Pastor Artur first met up with MassResistance in 2018. In June that year, MassResistance was on the scene to document Pastor Artur joined local activists and MassResistance fiery speech outside of the Calgary Police Station where local activists had come to support pro-family activist Bill Whatcott (who was being taken into custody on the Orwellian charge of “anti-LGBT hate speech”). Later that year Pastor Artur hosted our Canada MassResistance chapter at a conference in his church. Since then, he worked with us to stop a ban on “reparative therapy” in Calgary and similar issues across Canada.

They had come to halt a Passover service over clearly unconstitutional Covid rules. He also continued to feed the poor and homeless in violation of the Covid mandate. He was later arrested, imprisoned, and fined for keeping his church open and continuing to feed and minister to the poor through his street church. When released, the judge ordered Pastor Artur to include the government’s Covid narrative in his future church sermons! That totalitarian order was later thrown out after widespread outrage.
The latest international outrage
Pastor Art’s persecution by the government has continued. The latest outrage came in early February. He delivered a forceful speech and held a church service for the truckers who were protesting vaccine mandates and Covid restrictions with a blockade at the Coutts, Alberta border. In his speech, he told the truckers to “hold the line” and continue peacefully protesting.

According to reports, he’s the only person ever arrested under that act! Rebel News noted on Feb. 28:
[T]hree additional charges stemming from incidents over the previous two years were piled onto the existing, and now nearly innumerable, charges that Artur is facing in what is quite possibly the most glaring legal witch hunt in Canadian History… Sadly, the courts are being wielded as political weapons instead of doing their jobs, which is to uphold the laws of the land, first and foremost being the Criminal Code of Canada and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Here in the US, American Spectator observed:
Like a verdict from a Soviet show trial, the judge asserted out of thin air that Pawlowski’s blameless exercise of free speech “contributed to enormous economic harm to the local, provincial and national economy and substantial community harm to ordinary Canadians.”
Pastor Artur has been denied bail and held in solitary confinement since then at the Calgary Remand Centre, a holding prison for dangerous and violent criminals. (Largely ignored by Canada’s mainstream media, this incident was reported Canada’s alternative Rebel News.) And making matters worse, on March 2 his brother Dawid Pawlowski was arrested for charges that are yet unclear!
U.S. Senator makes statement
This has shocked and outraged many people in the United States who fear that the Canadian government’s extremist approach to dissenters and Christians could come here. On Feb. 27, U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) was asked for his reaction to Pastor Pawlowski’s arrest. He said,
The United States keeps a designation of nations that are religious liberty violators. I've called for Canada to be put on that list. And I think we should consider all of the options that are available for that.

Last June, Pastor Artur visited the U.S. for several weeks to warn Americans of the danger of creeping totalitarianism. He met with General Michael Flynn, Senator Josh Hawley, former Trump advisors, and various DC political leaders. He spoke at many churches and political gatherings. On June 26 when in Los Angeles, he sat down with Arthur Schaper of MassResistance.
It was a fascinating interview. (See video at top.) Pastor Artur talks about what has happened to him personally, what is happening to Canada, how things are changing for the worse, and why the world needs to pay attention.
He reminds us: The truth is like a pillar; it can stand on its own. But the lie needs to be supported by more lies, misinformation, disinformation, and tyranny – tyranny and fear –because it cannot stand on its own.
A few of Artur’s points in the interview:
- The leftists attacking us constantly have no substance; they don’t have any reasoning. So the only thing they can do is hate. Those people who talk about tolerance are the most intolerant people on earth.
- We are not dealing with officials who respect law and order. We are dealing with gangsters in uniform – like the Nazis and the Communists – who do whatever they want. The tactics they are using now are virtually identical to the tactics used back then [under the Nazis and Soviets].
- Why are Canadian people so “sheep-like”? The Canadian government has been implementing this repression for a very long time. They have been attacking the minds of the people for decades. The tactics are just like with the Hitler Youth: brainwashing; taking over universities and schools; taking over mainstream media; and the political arena. What they accomplished is to create an apathetic, uninterested, selfish, self-centered generation of people that don’t really know what’s going on. It’s easier to do this in Canada because we have a smaller population with many different ethnicities, and are more naturally divided.
- When my brother and I were recently imprisoned, the Calgary police were particularly brutal to us. We were in put in solitary confinement. We had to sleep on a concrete floor. Every half hour they would wake us up so we couldn’t get sleep. We were often stripped naked and searched. They would mock Christianity. They would steal my belongings and throw them into the garbage in front of me. They threw me against the wall, and said they would charge me with assaulting them. When we finally went to court they put chains on our legs.
Pastor Artur Pawlowski is an inspiration to all of us. If more clergymen were as principled, bold, and fearless as he, this would be a much better world.

Pastor Art Pawlowski Defends Freedom of Religion and Conscience in the Alberta Court of Justice
Pastor Art Pawlowski gave the following speech in the Alberta Courts of Justice:
I am here, before this court as a political prisoner of conscience!
The AHS and the politicians have found a new way of penalizing anyone that is opposing their unconstitutional medical Tyranny!
They hate the idea, that they have been exposed for what they really are. Liars, hypocrites and cheaters!
I have seen this growing back behind the Iron Curtain under the boots of the Soviets! I have heard from my grandparents about the similar tactics during the time of the Nazis! Persecuting Churches and the clergy! And that what we are talking here about. Canada has fallen very low!
Nelson Mandela said that when a man is denied the right to live the life he believes in, he has no choice but to become an outlaw.
The politicians and the AHS have been embarrassed by the level of hypocrisy and double standards that we have shown to the whole world and now they are using this court and this judge as their personalized weapon against us the whistleblowers that are simply exposing their corruption.
We do not have flu crisis; we have opioid crisis in Canada! Alcoholism crisis! Record high among the youth suicide crisis! Homelessness crisis! Hopelessness crisis! As a Pastor I do not just deal with the physical problems but also emotional, spiritual and mental as well! People in our community are dealing with loneliness, stress, grief, loss, and isolation and they desperately need their Pastors!
We are and always have been the front-line workers in the time of crisis! Now we are needed more then ever!
People need more Church not less! More prayers not less! We, the clergy are essential! Now, the Church is more essential than the corrupted politicians are!
How can the politicians say that they care about the health and safety of people if they are imposing rules and are not even bothering to follow them? If they claim these rules are about safety but they violate their own mandates, then it must NOT be about safety - so then what exactly ARE these mandates are about?
The politicians who mandated these orders, like masks, social distancing, lock downs have been caught breaking their own restrictions and should also be found in contempt and held accountable. And because they are not being held to the same standards, it shows to me that this is not about justice and the Rule of Law but about simple Vengeance.
If this was really about health would those politicians not keep their own mandates? If this was real emergency, would they be partying at the sky palace? If this so-called pandemic was real are those politicians not putting the public at large and their own colleagues at risk by breaking their own rules?
I am here in this court as a victim of a personal vendetta from a very corrupted and evil, lying and deceiving politicians! If I am guilty of a crime, then so it is the Premier of Alberta Jason Kenney with a bottle of Jameson Irish whiskey on the patio of the Sky Palace. Breaking their own rules and mandates with Parks Minister and House Leader Jason Nixon. And with the biggest hypocrite of them all, the boss of the AHS that is persecuting us here today, the Health Minister Tyler Shandro not caring about his own rules having good time with the Finance Minister Travis Toews (Tiws)! They also have broken the Rooks order! The Associate Chief Justice John Rooke order caught them as well! If I am guilty so, are they!
If this court has found us guilty and wants to send us to prison and is refusing at the same time to prosecute those that have subjected us to those mandates and broke them without blinking an eye then this court is willing to have two sets of laws, one for the corrupted politicians and one for the rest of us! Then this court is also not about justice and the Rule of Law!
I hope that this court is about justice and the Rule of Law not like those hypocritical politicians with their personal vendetta! If that is the case, then there is in fact selective and unjust application of the law and now two sets of laws, one for the corrupted politicians and one for the rest of us, citizens. If that is what would happen, then this would be the biggest mockery of the justice system in the modern history of democracy!
What is the government doing for the people that are looking for spiritual guidance? For those millions hurting, hopeless all around us? Do their lives matter? What safety measures are they taking for those people? What are they doing to stop the deaths from drugs and suicides?
Abraham Lincoln said those powerful words: Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves. If you sentence me you will be sentencing yourselves and those hypocrites in Edmonton in the Legislator!
Sure, you can lock us up and throw the key away, but our political imprisonment will shout even louder from prison about this hypocrisy and the mockery of justice! This will be loud and clear that this nation, Canada is no better then China, North Korea and Russia! The world will see that here in Canada there are two sets of rules! One for the corrupted politicians and another for the citizens!
If you send us to prison, you must send those Alberta politicians to prison also! We can even share a cell if that what you wish! However, if you will not do that then the whole world will know that there is no justice in Canada anymore!
John F. Kennedy said those powerful words: The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.
The corrupted bureaucrats want my apology! They want me to say that I am sorry for doing my job! For saving lives! For feeding thousands of most vulnerable in our society! For giving hope to the people! Well, here is my answer: Exactly 500 years ago another man faced a very similar trial, and I was told to apologize, if he will recount he will be off the hook. His name was Martin Luther! Let me echo today his words as my response to those that seek to hurt me, to hurt the poor, our Church community and to hurt my family!
I opened the Church for the hurting people looking for help! For that I will not apologize!
I cannot and will not Recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand, I can do no other, so help me God. Amen.

Please contact the Spruce Grove, city council located in the Province of Alberta, Canada.
They are attempting to violate the Canadian Charter of Human Rights and the natural rights of all Canadians beyond the political charter TONIGHT.
They are going to be taking up a vote to ban reparative therapy, a life-saving form of counseling which helps individuals struggling with unwanted same-sex temptations and gender dysphoria issues.
This latest push to ban therapy is all about forcing the normalization and acceptance of homosexuality, transgenderism, and other destructive behaviors.
The full-on assault on biological fact, biblical truth, and basical morality cannot be ignored.

Dear Mayor Houston and Spruce Grove City Council,
It has come to my attention that the City is voting on the proposed ban on so called Conversion Therapy today, Monday March 23. I find it disgraceful that you would choose to vote on this controversial matter, which is of great public interest, during a pandemic lock down.
This ban is a massive overreach with extreme consequences which should not be dealt with by the city. The Mayor and city council were elected to manage the city and its infrastructure. Not to take on political social justice matters advanced by political LGBTQ lobby groups.
The city has been well informed that there is absolutely no evidence to support the lie that Conversion Therapy is transpiring in any district in Spruce Grove or for that matter anywhere in Canada. True Conversion Therapy consisted of treatments such as electroshock, castration and institutionalization. It is deceitful to use this term in relation to much needed reparative therapy, counselling and talk therapy.
The individuals behind this agenda are LGBTQ Political activists, such as Kristopher Wells, who are determined to strip parents of their Constitutional rights, undermine the structure of the natural family and the church and gain control of vulnerable youth in order to sterilize and mutilate them. Science is not on their side so instead they have gone to the lowest of lows and created this grand deception that Conversion Therapy is going on in places such as church basements throughout this nation...without "any" evidence to support this.
The term Conversion Therapy is being used to create a surge of sympathy and victimize non-existent victims in order to manipulate your vote.
To arbitrarily change the definition of Conversion Therapy to support a politically charged agenda is something that must be challenged especially when that definition is absent of reality. If conversion therapy were to be redefined, an accurate redefinition, based on what is actually transpiring, should read:
- “any practice, treatment or service designed to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity from their biological sex to a reassigned sex, or sexual preference, in an effort to ‘prohibit’ sexual attraction or sexual behaviour between persons of the opposite sex.. This would ‘include’ hormonal therapy and sex reassignment surgery”.
The ban threatens to criminalize therapy only for those who are providing counsel to individuals who are seeking healing and wholeness which may, or may not, lead to a life outside of the homosexual or trans life. It does not criminalize those who are giving counsel to individuals to pursue sex reassignment surgery and hormone therapy or the doctors responsible for mutilating a child’s or adult’s body and injecting them with dangerous hormones. In this instance, the city actually provides a clause exempting any criminal culpability.
Many children questioning their gender or same sex attraction do so because they have experienced childhood trauma such as sexual abuse or other forms of abuse. It is critical these children receive reparative therapy to talk through this in order to give them the best possible chance of living a healthy and productive life. Who are you to prohibit them from getting the help they need?
The fact that you would even consider a one sided demanded that only leads to harmful drugs and the sterilization and mutilation of children is appalling. Those who pursue sex reassignment surgery have a 19X greater risk of committing suicide. Are you grasping the enormity of the death sentence you are placing on minors when you vote in favour of this By-law?
Further, there is mounting evidence to support the rise in gender dysphoric children is due to their indoctrination via the Comprehensive Sexuality Education curriculum mandated by the UN and currently in schools across Alberta. A heavy handed LGBTQ propaganda tool disguised as anti-bullying. Drag Queen story hours and Drag Queen performers are further twisting the minds of our children and now that our trusted leaders have completely interfered with their natural thinking regarding their biology, they are coming up with this draconian move to ban critical therapy. Leaving parents and minors with the only option to move toward harmful drugs and sex reassignment surgery wherein perfect healthy bodies parts are permanently removed! Including sterilizing children through penectomies (removal of penis) and hysterectomies.
The State sponsored abuse of our children is reprehensible and Canadians will not continue to permit it nor will we allow our constitutional rights to be desecrated by a small group of activists.
It is critical that the City understand medical malpractice suits and legal action is commencing and will indeed be pursued in the very near future should you refuse to take the appropriate action and dismiss this action. Eg. Tavistock Case of 6 yr old Cdn. girl
In the United States eight state legislatures have tabled bills to prohibit the sterilization and mutilation of minors (under the age of 18). Doctors could face jail time and fines if they provide puberty blocking drugs.
Missouri, Florida, Illinois, Oklahoma, Colorado, South Carolina, Kentucky, and South Dakota and growing daily....#9 Idaho
Drag Queen Story hours are also being banned throughout the US. Stiff consequences are being imposed on public libraries due to children being psychologically abused and sexually groomed at Drag Queen Story Hours. Missouri, Wisconsin, Texas, Etc.
Every elected official is on notice...anyone supporting this abuse of our children will not be supported in future elections.
Therefore, I request that you vote NO to this deceitful and unsubstantiated Conversion Therapy Prohibition BYLAW C-1103-19.
