Democrats Doubling Down on Stupid Re: Illegal Immigration

The Democratic Party has become so defined, so addicted to identity politics, they have nothing else to hold onto or to hope for.

They put all their eggs into Crooked Hillary winning the Presidency, and with her victory they could usher in unfettered open borders/amnesty policies, all of which would change the United States forever into a third-world kleptocracy, run by Democrats forever.

In other words, a national-sized version of California.

Yet even in deep blue states like Delaware and Maryland, sanctuary state policies are not going over well. Marylanders of all backgrounds harrassed their elected officials--Democratic voters going after Democratic politicians--and they clearly opposes any kind of sanctuary state proposal.

One lawmaker offered the bill, and quickly withdrew it following the uproar all over the state.

Despite these setbacks, the Democratic Party as a whole still wants this open-borders folly. They are completely committed to bringing in third-world dependents, who will automatically vote for more socialism and welfare, undermining the very fabric of this great country.

One problem--the vast majority of voters do not want sanctuary cities. They want full enforcement of our immigration laws, and they are tired of illegal aliens being championed as heroes.

What about Americans? What about our heroes, veterans who have been forgotten or deceived by government agencies? What about inner cities? American kids are getting a terrible education in many government schools.

Illegal immigration is overrunning every public sector in the country. How much longer will taxpayers tolerate their money going toward lawbreakers while ignoring the needs of overburdened citizens?

The Marxist Left has taken over the Democratic Party, and their duly obsessed with phasing out national differences and ushering in a globalist, communistic society where everyone is "equal", in terms of results, of course.

By Andrew Sullivan, New York Magazine, 10/20/17

I don’t believe it’s disputable at this point that the most potent issue behind the rise of the far right in America and Europe is mass immigration. It’s a core reason that Trump is now president; it’s why the AfD is now the third-biggest party in the German, yes, German, parliament; it’s why Austria’s new chancellor won by co-opting much of the far right’s agenda on immigration; it’s why Britain is attempting (and currently failing) to leave the EU; it’s why Marine Le Pen won a record number of votes for her party in France this spring.

Illegal immigration as well as mass migration have upset citizens all over the world. They will not tolerate their rights, their sovereignty, and their monies getting stolen from them because a few well-connected globalist interests want to get rich at everyone else's expense.

Then comes Sullivan's puzzling retort on this matter:

You would think that parties of the center-left would grapple with this existential threat to their political viability. And some have

I disagree with this assessment. Many of the center-left parties around the world have plummeted in the polls and lost seats in state and national legislatures. They cannot bridge the divide between pragmatic leaders and their radical base any longer. Many of the grassroots have moved into the Green Party or other left-wing parties, while working-class Labour types have become conservatives, as they recognize that their national identity and self-interest is better represented by center-right coalitions across the board.

And this is one reason why I have dwindling hopes that the Democratic Party will be able to defeat Trump in 2020. Instead of adjusting to this new reality, and listening to the electorate, the Dems have moved ever farther to the left, and are controlled by ever-radicalizing activists.

Yes, they have, because their spiritual godfather is Bernie Sanders, while wicked Step-mother Hillary Clinton turned off this wide set of mobilized progressives.

Sullivan then contends--without basis--that Obama offered pragmatic solutions on immigration, including tough enforcement. Total lie. I have learned that for all the talk about increasing deportation numbers to amounts greater than 50 years worth of presidential actions combined did not happened.

Obama simply counted every person turned away at the border as a "deportation", which is simply not true.

Then comes the killer point for the Democratic Party:

Democrats in 2017, in general, tend to criticize the use of immigration enforcement, and tend to side with those accused of violating immigration law, as a broad matter of principle beyond opposing the particular actions of the administration … Democrats are no longer as willing to attack “illegal immigration” as a fundamental problem anymore.

Illegal immigration has become the flashpoint issue.

If they will not deal with it, then they have no further relevance. Every government must protect the rights of its citizens, including life. The danger posed to legal residents by illegal aliens cannot be underestimated. The damage to economies, public services, and quality of life cannot be overlooked, either. Americans of all political persuasions have had enough of illegal immigration. They want the borders secure, and they want American interests placed first.

Sullivan then succinctly defines the Democratic Party's radical agenda as follows.

1. Illegal alien parents are near heroes, indistinguishable from the children they brought with them. In fact, Democratic candidates, like Phil Murphy who is running for New Jersey Governor, has audaciously claimed that those illegal youth are as American as his own child.

No. They are not.

2. It's hard to tell the difference between those views and an all-out desire for open borders.

3. This point is too salient not to quote in full: "Any kind of distinction between citizens and noncitizens is somehow racist. You could see this at the last convention, when an entire evening was dedicated to Latinos, illegal and legal, as if the rule of law were largely irrelevant. Hence the euphemism “undocumented” rather than “illegal.” So the stage was built, lit, and set for Trump."

Trump has dominated the political discussion in the United States because of illegal immigration. As long as the Democratic Party continues to champion illegal aliens and open borders over American citizens and national security, they might as well close up shop and allow the GOP to break into two political parties and establish a new realignment.

Sullivan repeats a simple yet powerful statement from the Trump campaign" “If you don’t have borders, you don’t have a country.”

Sullivan then announces that Democrats have no constructive alternative. We should not be surprised, however, since "Private Position" Hillary announced to the Wall Street donor class that she envisioned a global economy with the free-flow of labor and capital throughout the Americans, indifferent to national borders.

Check out the tough love Sullivan offers to one of his progressive denizens: Here’s Zack Beauchamp, a liberal friend of mine: “What if I told you that immigration restrictionism is and always has been racist?” Borders themselves are racist? Seriously?

That race card has been played so much, it just elicits laughter from the wide and growing center-right movement across the country. In fact, this left-wing illegal alien pandering has fallen on deaf ears among the post-Millennial generation, as they have been adversely affected by Obama's progressive policies.

Even this 9-year old Trump supporter articulates the crucial issues connected to illegal immigration:

The Democratic Party believes in expanding the power of the demos does it not? How do they plan on carrying out that basic mission if they undermine the very power of the people, i.e. the vote, which requires a nation defined by laws, borders, and a common defense? What's next, will the Democratic Party denounce being American as racist, too?

This is how far left the Democratic Party has become, and if they don't get with the program and remember that they are a political party operation within the American system, their days may indeed be numbered!
