Trump Endorses Mitt Romney: What To Think?

Yesterday, President Trump endorsed one of his most vocal critics in his bid for the United States Senate.

Mitt Romney, who was also endorsed by retiring Orrin Hatch, is seeking to represent the United States Senate for Utah. I am thrilled with this outcome?

Not at all.

But there is a dynamic that we cannot escape when it comes to Utah and the politics of the Beehive State. The voters have never had a strong affinity for President Trump. During the contentious primary, US Senator Ted Cruz swept all the delegates, in spite of poor showings in Arizona down south.

At the general election, Trump won this state with the lowest percentage of all the states: 44%. Whether we like it or not, Utahns are not the biggest fans of Trump, or at least they were not that big on his campaign during the primary. Independent "conservative" Evan McMullin based his abortive, anti-Trump campaign out of Utah, and Gary Johnson did better than expected in this state, as well.

These are not welcome developments for the MAGA agenda if we ignore them.

Republicans already lost a red seat in Alabama. The US Senate majority is really thin at this point, and the last thing that we want is for the Democrats to actually take over the upper chamber in 2018. They only need to flip two more seats and hold onto everything else. The momentum among Democrats over the past four months indicates that Republicans need to tread more carefully than they had done from Inauguration Day until November 2017.

Politics is a numbers game, at the end of the discussion, and we cannot run away from that.

Do I care for Guy Benson's Never-Trumpism? Nope.

Did I care for Romney's relentless digs on Trump during the primary, the general election, and even after he won?

Not at all.

But guess what? It's not in my hands whether Romney is the Republican nominee for US Senate. That decision does not even belong exclusively to the general population of Utah GOP primary voters at large in the state, either.

Wikipedia summarizes the process below:

Utah candidates for political office have a dual routes toward placement on the primary election ballot: 

(1) eligibility via win or second-place showings at a convention of delegates selected from party local caucuses

(2) eligibility via obtaining sufficient petition signatures. 

Thus, the top two candidates for the U.S. Senate at the party state convention, to be held the latter part of April, are placed on the June 26 primary election ballot, along with any candidates who collects 28,000 ballot-access petition signatures. If no competitors achieves alternate access to the "pure primary" through collected signatures and a convention winner had achieved sixty-percent of delegate votes, this candidate straightaway receives his or her party's nomination solely via the older-style caucuses-convention system. 

The state party will have a nomination convention in April. Tea Party conservative Mike Lee succeeded in this convention in 2010, and more importantly the convention pushed out then-incumbent US Senator Robert Bennett because of his un-conservative votes on taxes, spending, and the big bank bailouts in 2009. These conventions do protect conservative values to a great extent.

Very likely if Romney sweeps that meeting, and there is no other candidate who can get onto the ballot via signatures, then the former governor of Massachusetts and Presidential candidate will the GOP nominee on the ballot for the general election. He has the money, the name ID, and the Establishment backing. While he is not popular nationally with the conservative and MAGA grassroots, Romney is very popular in Mormon dominant Utah. Trump probably senses that he has little pull to stopping Romney-mentum. There are other declared candidates, but will any of them excite enough interest to stop Romney? Who knows.

Let's also realize that Trump and the conservatives who want the MAGA agenda need to work with as many Republicans as possible, and that means we want to see the RNC and other Republican organizations spending money going after Democrats instead of dumping a whole bunch of campaign cash into holding onto red seats.

Trump will not the be the first President to sign onto working with bitter rivals. Abraham Lincoln expressly appointed personal and professional opponents into his cabinet during his first administration. In order to achieve a winning re-election ticket, he nominated a Unionist Democrat as his Vice Presidential candidate. That's what it takes to ensure working majorities for the most of one's agenda.

This is how it works, people. Whether we like Romney or not, it's best for greater intents and purposes to have a Republican with some allegiances to our interests than a Democrat who will spoil the unprecedented Republican mandate which Trump and the GOP has enjoyed in Utah for the last four years.

Keep in mind that Utah is a conservative state regardless, and an elected official from that state will have to comply to an extended extent with the will of those voters, regardless of their background or prior political experience. Trump had worried so many of us conservatives because of his prior record and rhetoric. As President, he's done a pretty phenomenal job. Not only that, but Trump has scored points with Hatch, especially on Trump's executive orders rolling back President Obama's overbearing federal land grabs in national monuments like Bears' Ears National Park.

Perhaps we can look forward to a similar set of welcome surprises from US Senator Mitt Romney, too.

Orrin Hatch Announces Retirement (Full Statement and Video)

I came up during the Great Depression, living in a ramshackle house built with recycled lumber from the local scrapyard. My parents gave us everything they had, but we still had next to nothing. Only in a nation like ours could someone like me—the scrappy son of a simple carpenter—grow up to become a United States Senator. This country gave me the opportunity to escape the poverty of my youth. And so, in return, I have made it my life’s mission to expand opportunity for others. I made my announcement on video earlier last week. See it here!  Looking back on more than four decades of public service, I can confidently say that I have accomplished that goal. Whether it was legislation to strengthen economic freedom, protect the rights of religious persons, or improve healthcare for millions of Americans, I have always sought to fight for those who could not fight for themselves. And to be honest, I still have a little fight left in me. But every good fighter knows when to hang up the gloves. And for me, that time is soon approaching. That’s why, after much prayer and consultation with family and friends, I have decided to retire at the end of this term. To be sure, there is still much I could accomplish were I to continue serving in the Senate beyond 2018. But my sights have turned to educating the next generation of lawmakers and to spending time with my own family, whose unwavering love and support has made all of this possible. Orrin Hatch Should Stay, If He Stays on the MAGA Way

Election 2018 is going to be particularly tumultuous and eventful. We have seen Establishment Republicans and Democrats in both chambers jumping out of office. The unparalleled number of open seats will bring challenges and major changes to Washington DC. Long-standing Democrats have dropped out, likely expecting Republicans to hold onto the House of Representatives. The Indivisible Movement, along with La Raza, MoveOn.org, and George Soros’ dark money fundraising machines have been working overtime to thwart the Make America Great Agenda. They hope to capitalize on bad polling to win seats.

Even though Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ senate seat fell into Democratic hands, Luther Strange’s loss (and Majority Leader McConnell’s) loss forced the Republican US Senate majority to start acting like one, especially since they are two senate seats away from becoming the minority again. Granted, Republicans have to defend 8 seats in 2018, while the Democrats and their liberal Independent colleagues must defend 25. Yet anything can happen, and anything can go wrong for Republican leaders, who have not shaken their frustrating penchant for snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

At least Majority Leader McConnell is starting to enjoy President Trump’s tweets and going along (somewhat) with the will of the not-so silent conservative majority. If he enjoins Democrats’ efforts to stop Trump’s agenda any further and puts the gas on enacting repeal of Obamacare and construction of the border wall, then maybe McConnell can keep his Majority Leader job.

It’s good that some of McConnell’s closest establishment allies have announced retirement (Flake, Corker). Stronger, more experienced conservative candidates should be able to avoid the Roy Moore fate which upended the Alabama special election. There has been some gossip that another US Senator will be seeking the exit, standing down from re-election: Orrin Hatch.

His tenure has now exceeded 40 years. He is currently the longest-serving Republican US Senator in United States’ history.  There has been good in that tenure. As Chairman of the US Senate Judiciary Committee, he championed the trial against President Bill Clinton in 1999, reminding liberal pundits that the fight for justice was part of the entire Civil Rights Movement, even when politicos mocked the whole process. Looking back 20 years later, it’s good that some elected officials took President Clinton’s sexual perversion and criminal dishonesty seriously. The rampage of sexual assaults, misconduct, and legal settlements spilling out of Washington DC is horrific—and a result of the American political culture’s lax attitude toward infidelity and sexual promiscuity among our elected officials.

Of course, Hatch’s long-time tenure in the Upper Chamber has earned detractors. As many as three-quarters of Utah voters want him to retire. Has he been in Washington DC too long? Regardless of one’s answer, term limits are not the answer to the lingering legislators who hold onto power (just look at the mess that is California).

Lately, Hatch has been changing his tune and has made glowing statements about President Trump: “You are one heckuva leader”, Hatch stated to President Trump after the historic tax reform bill passed and was signed into law. He also commented, and to MSNBC of all news media companies, “Donald Trump is one of the best I’ve served under. He’s not afraid to make decisions. He’s not afraid to take on the big mouths around here.” To Hatch’s credit, he continued backing then-candidate Trump during the “Graber-gate” audio recording released in October 2016. Even when the polling and final voting results showed President Trump earning only 44% of Utahns’ vote on Election Day, Hatch made the right call and stood with Trump.

These are welcome remarks from Hatch in connection with President Trump, and I could not agree more with Hatch’s assessment. The President’s decision to retract the massive federal government land-grab by President Obama is another policy victory which Hatch praised.

Is Hatch changing his tune about the President and his style of politics for purely political reasons? It seems strange at first glance, since reports indicated that the US Senate Pro Tem was going to retire and hand off the reins to former Governor and Presidential candidate Mitt Romney. That move would have soured the national grassroots. US Senator Mike Lee knocked out fellow Republican incumbent Robert Bennett because of his un-conservative wavering on fiscal discipline and healthcare reform. Romney would not have survived Utah’s tumultuous primaries next year.

It looks as though Hatch is going to run again—and win. Frankly, I have no problem with that … at this point. The only issue I have with Hatch is immigration. He supported the 2013 Obamacare of Immigration “reform” bills. He has also listed himself as a co-sponsor for US Senators Thom Tillis and James Lankford’s SUCCEED Act. We don’t need legislation for illegals. We need to put Americans first. The tax reform package will do more of that, and that’s great. Truly, the work on this long-waiting and much-needed reform could not have happened without Hatch’s help. As for immigration, five Republican US Senators met with President Trump in the White House to discuss the immigration fights to come next year, Hatch was not one of them. That’s another good sign to let Hatch stay.

It also helps that one of Utah’s largest newspapers slammed Hatch, all while calling him “Utahn of the Year.” Why did the Salt Lake Tribune give him this back-handed compliment? His success with tax reform and his leadership on restoring the state’s ownership of key lands from federal hands. The editorial also claims another election bid would be a “theft from the electorate.” Really?

If Hatch is showing some conservative credentials to ease his re-election bid--only to go back to middling Establishment politicking—then he needs to go. But if this US Senator goes along with the MAGA program, he should stay. That outcome would ensure a strong Presidential ally in the upper chamber while freeing up GOP campaign dollars for targeted Democratic seats next year. There’s still time until the Utah primary, and anything can change.

Senators Hatch and Brown In Tax Reform Shouting Match (MSNBC Distorts)

              

Brian Williams is still a news anchor? I am shocked, shocked I tell you. Williams was pushed out of the major NBC network for his unfettered penchant for lying about his reporting history. He told more whoppers than Crooked Hillary during her entire public life as First Lady then First woman running for President on a general election ticket.

She was crooked, and Williams is crooked, too. What can anyone say about MSNBC, then, when they allow a serial liar to tell the news?

At any rate, Williams featured the heated exchange between Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch and progressive Sherrod Brown of Ohio. Despite some hesitation, the Chairman duly called Brown out of order for shaming Republicans in their tax reform proposals.

It's too bad that more senators don't work as hard going after the corrupt media.

US Senate Finance Committee Chairman Celebrates Tax Reform Passage

Last night, we made history. For the first time in more than three decades, we cleared a comprehensive overhaul of the nation’s tax code and delivered on our promise of advancing pro-growth policies that will lift the economy and build a better future for the American people.    After the bill passed last night I spoke about what this will mean for Utah families  With this legislation, we maintained our commitment to creating a tax code that is both simple and fair. We lowered rates across the board and ensured that Utah’s businesses, both large and small, can succeed in an increasingly competitive global economy. Most importantly, we revamped the tax code in a way that empowers individuals and families to invest more in their future. The end result is better jobs, bigger paychecks, and higher savings. Democrats knew that tax reform would be a huge Republican victory, which is why they fought tooth and nail to oppose it. In doing so, they resorted to fearmongering and scare tactics to distract Americans from the truth. Progressive attacks grew increasingly unmoored from reality as the legislation reached the finish line. Take, for example, Nancy Pelosi’s last-hour prophecy that the tax plan would usher in “Armageddon.” If my bill marks the end of anything, it’s the end of an outdated, unworkable tax code that put America’s families and small businesses at a constant disadvantage. Let’s put hysterics aside for a moment to examine the facts: Under the new tax regime, the vast majority of Utah families will see a significant tax cut. Consider the estimated savings below from my staff, specific to Utah families: A family of 6 (with 4 children under the age of 17) making $60,000 a year could save approximately $2,424 A family of 4 (with 2 children under the age of 17) making $40,000 a year could save approximately $1,440.    A family of 8 (with 6 children under the age of 17) making $50,000 a year could save approximately $1,505 Below, you’ll also find a full table of estimates for families (married, filing jointly) with 0-10 children and incomes ranging from $30K to $100K a year.  It’s important to note that my staff could not find a single scenario in which a family within these salary ranges would pay more in taxes due to this tax reform proposal.    *these numbers are estimates for a sample range, but we believe they are representative of the positive impact Senator Hatch's tax reform proposal will have for a majority of Utahns.   I also encourage you to use the tax calculators below for more estimates how this bill could benefit you and your family: Tax Plan Calculator    Washington Post Tax Calculator CNN Tax Calculator   With my tax bill, the proof is in the paycheck. EPIC: US Senator Slams Class Warfare Colleague on Tax Reform

To give you a taste of our living conditions, the biggest wall in our home was a Meadow Gold Dairy sign that overlooked a living room too small to fit even half the family. We could barely afford the food on our table, much less new clothes for school. So as a boy, I wore ill-fitting hand-me-downs everywhere I went, and was often made fun of for it. Last night, I had heard enough of the tired talking point that Repulblicans are only looking out for the rich. By working as a janitor to put myself through college, I was eventually able to escape the poverty of my youth—but I never forgot about it. I never forgot about going to bed hungry because we didn’t have enough to eat. I never forgot about the sleepless nights spent worrying that my father would lose his job the next day. And I never forgot about the sense of otherness I felt as the poorest boy in school. I have known poverty. I’ve lived it—and I’ve felt it in my bones. So the insinuation that I am in any way indifferent to the suffering of the poor is a personal offense to me. And I made this frustration known Thursday night to one of my Democratic colleagues, Senator Brown. There are many myths surrounding the Senate tax proposal, which is why I want to make one thing unmistakably clear: My new tax plan is a boon for low- and middle-income Americans. WINNING: Pro-Amnesty Orrin Hatch to Retire, too!

I knew that it would only be a matter of time.

First Corker announced his decision to cut and run, within hours of Judge Roy Moore trouncing appointed incumbent Luther Strange in the Alabama GOP Run-off.

Then Jeff the Flake announced that he "could not serve" any longer in the US Senate with the President as he is now in office.

Please! Flake the Flake knew that he would get his head handed to him in a primary fight against Kelli Ward. Furthermore, President Trump openly denounced the junior US Senator a number of times, both on social media and in a well-attended rally in Phoenix, Arizona.

This "conscientious conservative" got the message. He was really not a conservative, since he sold out to the globalist, corporate interests to further his power differential in the US Senate. The same holds for John McCain, a bitter old coot with more interest in sabotaging Trump than respecting the will of the Constitution and the wellspring of the voters who elected him.

The Never-Trump or "Don't Like Trump" caucus is fading fast in Washington DC.

Now another not-so-Trumper is announcing his retirement:

Orrin Hatch.

To be honest, his decline as a conservative spokesman into an Establishment shill is remarkable and sad all in one throw.

He had toppled a Democratic incumbent in 1976, in spite of the negative aftershocks of Watergate, which had cast a dark cloud over the Republican brand for some time.

He fought for a robust opposition to the Soviet Union. He was a strong pro-family conservative. Despite the media press against an impeachment then trial of President Bill Clinton, Hatch pursued the charges and defended his party's decision to remove Clinton from office for lying under oath to a federal grand jury as well as obstruction of justice.

Then something happened.

He voted for the bank bailouts. He went along with George W. Bush's Big Government expansionism and international interventionism.

Then he sounded off on allowoing transgenders to serve in the military. What?

Now he wants to grant amnesty to all the DACA illegals.

He has been in Washington DC too long. 40 years and he has become more distant rather than more in touch with the concerns of Utahns and American citizens.

The amnesty push is the last straw. Hatch needs to go--and reports indicate that he is going! In fact, his wife and family would like him to step down. He's listening to their voices, and that's in the best interest of his state and the country.

There is one dark lining to this silver cloud. Another GOPe-vs. Trumplican fight will break out in the 2018 primary: Mitt Romney wants to run.

This guy is a total carpet-bagger. He was born in Michigan, then ended up in Massachusetts, where he ran for US Senate in 1994, only to lose by double-digits to Ted "Chappaquiddick" Kennedy. He served one term as governor, in which he passed the statewide prototype for Obamacare, signed off on LGBT bigotry legislation, and the like.

He is the last guy anyone of us would like to see serving in the US Senate or anywhere else in the federal government. Besides, his hateful, elitist remarks against President Trump revealed what an arrogant Establishment shill he really was, a sell-out more interested in being like by the media and fetted by the country club gentry--with neither interest nor investment in working and Middle-income Americans.

Let's hope Steve Bannon and Co. find a strong, populist conservative to replace Hatch very soon, and place one more strong voice for constitutionalism and liberty in the upper chamber.

The SUCCEED Act: Another Immigration Reform Failure

Congress has not repealed Obamacare. Can they succeed on tax reform? How about on immigration? The House of Representatives passed meaningful immigration-based legislation. From the US Senate, David Perdue and Tom Cotton introduced the RAISE Act to put American workers first and limit immigration. Then there’s the SUCCEED Act from Senators Thom Tillis, James Lankford, and Orrin Hatch. They are pitching this “conservative” plan to help illegal youth previously sheltered by DACA.

Tillis’ bill stresses a much longer pathway to citizenship for the illegals. The DACA recipients have to pay taxes, go to school or serve in the military. After ten years they receive permanent legal status. After 15 years, they become citizens.

Tillis and Company have announced that the SUCCEED Act has bipartisan support. Really?

Let’s look at some of these interested parties:

1.       The U.S. Chamber of Commerce: These guys are bipartisan in every way, since they have purchased lawmakers on both sides of the aisle--at the cost of American taxpayers. They want amnesty, open borders, and cheap labor, all of which hurt American sovereignty and workers.

2.       IBM: Another major corporation look for hi-tech skills at a low cost, again at the expense of Americans. IBM has more employees in India than in the United States. H-1B Abuse! Is it any surprise that many American youth are rejecting STEM career paths?

3.       Former Democratic Governor, presidential candidate, and DNC Chair Howard Dean. What a ringing endorsement. Yeeargh!

4.       Hispanic Leadership Fund President Mario H. Lopez. The Fund touts “Free trade”, which amounts to open borders, and they push the canard that our immigration system is broken.

5.       National Immigration Forum Executive Director Ali Noorani. His biggest interest? Helping “New Americans”. Check his website. (“New Americans” is another PC phrase for illegal aliens.)

6.       The LIBRE Initiative: The Koch Brothers are the main backers of this libertarian, Hispanic outreach program. They are part of the “right-wing open border conspiracy”, sharply criticized by Bernie Sanders of all people.

Just because something is touted as “bipartisan” doesn’t mean that We the People want it. In California, Cap and Trade, gas tax hikes, and forced vaccination bills have passed with one or two votes from Republicans. Take your “bipartisan support” and shove it. Notice also that the SUCCEED Act sponsors left out immigration enforcement think-tanks. Jessica Vaughn of the Center for Immigration Studies has criticized the SUCCEED Act: “It is agreeing to an amnesty, without the U.S. gaining anything. It’s not moderating immigration in any way.”

Vaughn’s concern ties into the second problem with the SUCCEED Act: border security and deterrence. Most of the illegal alien crime come across the border. Will this legislation prevent another wave of illegal alien youths swarming our borders? Tillis tries to undercut this criticism: “The SUCCEED Act includes proactive measures that will help deter illegal immigration, including curtailing visa overstays, a major source of illegal immigration.” They want to tackle VISA overstays, but the most lethal illegal immigration issues take place at the border. We need the wall, tripled the border control and E-Verify! There is nothing in this legislation to assure that those measures come first.

What about chain migration? This bill targets the kids who are now all grown up. What about the parents, cousins, aunts, and all the other family members twice removed or related to the in-laws? The legislation will prevent chain migration, sponsorship for the illegal kids waiting for legal status following the conditional program. BUT … once the DACA kids go from conditional to legal status to fully naturalized citizenship, they can sponsor families, loved ones. Not good. After breaking the law as unauthorized migrants, they get away with the crime, and then they can bring in the family. Any discussions about having SUCCEED and RAISE together cannot work. Tillis’ bill naively ignores rampant DACA fraud, too. One estimate suggests that 40% of the DACA recipients shouldn’t have enrolled for the status to begin with. What about the children of these DACA kids, who are legal residents? We have another generation of “anchor babies”, and no action will be taken to remedy the abuses of the 14^th Amendment.

But the SUCCEED Act proposal will create jobs, right? Tillis cites the Niskanen Center analysis of the SUCCEED Act: 117,000 new jobs, increased GDP by $81 billion, with a total federal revenue income of $22 billion over ten years. Of course, Amnesty Tom doesn’t mention the costs—and they will be considerable. By the way, the Niskansen center invests its resources in promoting environmentalism, immigration reform, and civil rights through libertarian principles. Huh?

And what about opinions from other immigration enforcement activists and groups?

Agnes Gibboney, the head of Parents of Murdered Children (her son Ron da Silva was murdered by an illegal alien), seemed receptive to the legislation, until she learned that the DACA kids can sponsor their parents once they achieve citizenship: “I don't like that. In that case say NO to SUCCEED ACT and DACA.”

Robin Hvidston, Executive Director for We the People Rising slammed the Senators’ attention to foreign nationals instead of American citizens: “Where is the US Foster Care SUCCEED Act? There are more than 600,000 veterans at this moment in need of medical care.  Where is their SUCCEED Act?”

Finally, Tim Lyng of The Remembrance Project shared: “Americans must be placed first.  Congress has not made an effort to assist American families who have been injured or whose loved ones were killed.”

By the way, the SUCCEED Act is not a conservative solution, since conservatism advocates for the rule of law, legal equity, national sovereignty, and protection of individual liberty and prosperity of citizens, free from the intervention of special interests from the state. I had an open mind, but not for an open borders proposal. The SUCCEED Act is another immigration “reform” failure. The US Senators would be better off doing nothing on immigration, and just allow the Executive Branch continue to enforce our immigration laws.

More Winning: The Nightmare Kids Won't Budge, They Demand Full Amnesty

Just when I thought everything was going to fall through for us who have demanded enforcement of our immigration laws.

The Nightmare kids actually come to our rescue, again.

They are invading Congressional offices. They have crashed press conferences. They are blocking freeways, highways, and byways.

They want what they want when they want, and they will not take "No!" for an answer.

Guess what? They are playing right into the hands and the narrative of every freedom-loving, law-abiding hands

Today marks one month since Trump terminated the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) leaving nearly 1 million immigrant youth in limbo and uncertainty for their futures. For many reasons, Americans across the country should welcome that US Senator Thom Tillis knocked out Kay Hagan in 2014.

She was a liberal witch more interested in making Washington rich rather than allowing America to be great.

Unfortunately, this Tillis guy missed on key signal from the American public.

Red Nation Rising Utah: US Senator Orrin Hatch "An Establishment Perennial"

Red Nation Rising is a nationwide movement getting conservative, pro-constitutoin patriots to fight the good fight and Make America Great Again.

There are too many people in Washington DC who have gotten comfy with all the trappings of power.

This is wrong.

They forget whom they work for, and they start working for themselves.

All of this is outrageous, contrary to the best interests of the country.

Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) has been in the US Senate longer than I have been alive.

I do not favor term limits, but I do favor holding elected officials accountable, regardless of their reservoir of experience.

Orrin Hatch was a good man. He fought against big government. He voted for tax cuts. He fought for religious liberties.

He led the fight to prosecute Bill Clinton in 1998-1999.

He stood with Trump, even after his indiscreet comments with Billy Bush were suddenly released.

But looking at his current record, it's clear that he is out of step with the needs of the country.

He supports amnesty.

He wants to allow mentally ill individuals to serve in the military.

In short--after 42 years in office, Orrin has gone establishment. It's time for him to go "Down the Hatch".

Someone needs to remind him that he is not in the early 1980s anymore. The culture wars are real, and we need fighters.

His election in 1976 was unprecedented. Utah had had a relatively strong Democratic streak for nearly a century. All of that change with Hatch's unprecedented win.

However, the challenges he had faced in 1976 are not the problems we faced today.

Hatch is not only not fighting those issues, he is contributing to them!
