2 ways to help others vote right -- right now

Because average voters are motivated against Democrat politicians who inflate prices, love criminals over you, and indoctrinate children, please take action to help them vote. Don't be selfishly shy, but love boldly! Box address) to place on cars after the church meeting begins. If you can't do this, ask your pastor to urge people on Sunday to vote, or speak up yourself.

Not Travis Allen: Why I Choose Steve Frank for CAGOP Chairman

Someone emailed me earlier today about the CAGOP Chairman race in February 2019.

This person was promoting Travis Allen as the next CAGOP Chairman. I voted for him for Governor in the Primary. I was an active supporter of his campaign to represent us in Sacramento as our chief executive.

Sadly, he didn't win.

Now he wants to be the next chairman? No thank you. We need a different type of person for that kind of job.

I responded with the following letter

I voted for Travis Allen for Governor, but I am not supporting him for Chairman.

Here are the reasons why:

1. He sponsored his "Take California Back" PAC to help other Republicans get elected. Now he is using that same money to push his bid for Chairman.
2. He supports Prop 14, as he had announced at one CAGOP Convention that he would not have gotten elected without it. He ran against another Republican in 2012 for his assembly seat (AD-72), who was the "establishment" pick. He doesn't think he could have defeated his challenger in the primary?
3. Travis is ... all about Travis. The fact is that he is not a team player or a team builder. He promotes himself, which is necessary when you are running for statewide office -- but Chairman is not for a celebrity. I have heard this from other lawmakers as well as party operators throughout the state.
4. He is using the Chairmanship to launch a second bid for Governor in 2022. CAGOP offices are not for people seeking another office in the future. They are an office to help other people get elected to higher office.

Who AM is supporting?

His name is Steve Frank.

Here are the reasons why:

1. He has extensive experience as a CONSERVATIVE activist. He has fought against the CAGOP Party Establishment repeatedly.
2. He is one of the few consistent voices on the floor of the Convention who has challenged the misuse of power and ignorance of the state party by-laws.
3. For me personally, he was there to support me when RPLAC revoked the Beach Cities Republicans charter for no reason. He has routinely exposed the internal politics which has made the CAGOP ineffective and irrelevent.
4. He has helped many people organize to win elections. He even provides primers to assist candidates to get elected.
5. His newsletter, California Political Review, is read by millions throughout the state of California. He reports on news and issues which would come and go without another look if not for his newsletter.
6. He is not only well-traveled, but well-connected with conservative activists, central committees, and grassroots organizations throughout the state.
7. He served as a GOP Electoral for Ronald Reagan in 1980 -- he has a long history and deep roots within the California Conservative Movement
8. He started the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, which has been growing strong since then. They are the premier conservative institution which holds the California and National Republican Parties to their conservative credentials.
9. He is the only candidate who has consistently faulted the state party for failing to register voters, challenge voter fraud, and provide an option for voters in each legislative district, state and federal.
10. He is a full-on Trump supporter who is about building up everyone else.

Please share this information far and wide.

We need Steve Frank. Travis Allen is too inexperienced and too into himself for this position.

The latest Establishment candidate to jump into the race, Jessica Patterson, is completed funded by special interest money and the DC Swamp. She routinely bashed President Trump and conservative Republicans. She supported John Kasich for President! That prety much says it all. BLECCH!

We need Steve. He is the better choice.

We need substance, not style; we need a work horse, not a show horse. We need a mountain, not a molehill.

Please tell any concerned or interested delegates to support Steve Frank for CAGOP Chairman.

I offer the same request to everyone else reading this blog post. The candidate who should be the next chairman is Steve Frank. We need to think not just about raising money, but raising registrations, getting candidates elected to run, and above all winning again!

Activists Need Fellow Workers, not Just Cheerleaders: Final Reflection

I had shared yesterday that we as activists need more than mere appreciation. We need people to step into the fray and do what we are doing.

Someone responded to me with some excellent advice on this concern:

"I read your plea for sincere people to help you.

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians 4: 6)

"Most people and a lot of Christians don’t know how to get anything they need from their God. You do.

“Therefore, I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (Mark 11:24)

"Your Father in Heaven knows the zeal you have to change conditions for the good of the people. In fact, I’m guessing He gave that interest to you. Moses, King David, even Jesus were called to change things for the people and to glorify God.

"But they had to work with poor, ignorant, weak, fearful people! When you read about how they and others went about accomplishing those things, you will notice that most of their conversation about to do that was between them and God. Actually, God had given up on the Israelites and was ready to destroy and start over when Moses was smart enough to plea for mercy for them (Moses was a prototype of Jesus).'

"When you want or need something from you Father in Heaven don’t go to the people. Ask him for people that are empowered with interest, time, and energy to follow your leading. Or ask for an anointing of interest and the gift of time and energy on the people you have. Pray for them by name. And after you have asked confess over those that our Father gives u that they continue the particular behavior that you need.

"You will need less to talk to them when you talk to your Father in Heaven on their behalf.

"Israel eventually became a force with which to reckon and remained so as long as her leaders maintained a strong relationship with God." -- Kathleen Hazelton

My take? Indeed, when I have no idea what to do whose help to seek, I need to look up and pray. He is ready to answer every need. Worst case scenario, I have Psalm 91: 7

"7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee." (Psalm 91:7)

I would prefer that lots of people would not have to fall at anyone's side, but sometimes, all we can do is warn others.

Another verse comes to mind:

"Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him." (1 Kings 19:18)

It's time for a full appeal to heaven. 

I had written this shortly after Election 2018. It's time for us to ask for God's grace to flow in our lives. Don't ask for God to shower His grace on you. His favor has been falling on the whole world since Jesus died on the Cross, since Jesus rose again from the dead and was seated at God the Father's right hand.

It is essential--ESSENTIAL! 

Let's trust His righteousness, and watch Him make things right in our lives, in our walk on this earth!

Although California’s economy has pockets of strength, the state is also home to the nation’s highest poverty rate, when the cost of living is taken into account. The growing inequality and the affordability issues that are driving so many middle-income families out of the state are serious concerns and should be the centerpiece of the debate in the governor’s race.

Yes. Make California Affordable Again!

We believe the state would be best served by the election of John Cox as the next governor of California.

Yes, it would. Someone who is not part of the California State Political Swamp!

Cox, a successful businessman who lives in the San Diego area, offers a balanced, non-ideological approach, favoring lower taxes and reform of overreaching government regulations, along with support for the state’s clean-energy goals and environmental protection.

Yes, without breaking the bank or pushing us onto the street.

Two of the state’s most pressing problems — the crisis in housing affordability and the state’s neglected infrastructure — are caused, Cox argues, by flawed government decisions and policies. The cost of building a house or fixing a mile of road is far higher in California than in other states because of accumulated rules, fees and taxes that have themselves become a greater problem than whatever problem they were originally intended to address.

It is time for a change.

Yes, we need a change, a change away from the Democratic Party! The Demon-Rat party has ruined California for countless millions, men and women who just want to live their lives and place a posterity for their children and grand-children.

Gavin Newsom is a thoughtful leader who cares about the future of California, but as a longtime officeholder he has deep connections to many of the interest groups and politicians that have been part of the problem. That’s evident from Newsom’s careful two-step on both sides of major issues.

Yes. Gruesome Newsom is a hideous liar and philanderer. He never met another man's wife without making perverse moves on him. It is beyond shameful what he has done in private as well as in public. He has neither respect nor regard for the rule of law or the rights of citizens to make wise decisions for the citizenry. San Francisco has turned into a complete sh*thole, with homeless transients fighting each other, graffiti and trash all over the streets, and lawless thugs attack innocent passers-by. The business climate is beyond abysmal, and the housing costs are unreal.

No decent working person can afford to live in San Francisco, or anywhere in the Bay Are vicinity. It's unreal!

And now Gavin Newsom wants to ruin the entire state of California, too?

For example, during a debate in May, Newsom stated his position on high-speed rail as: “I’ve long supported the vision, but I’ve been honest about the financing.” He expressed a similar ambiguity on single-payer health care, Senate Bill 562, telling supporters “it’s time to move” the legislation while acknowledging to reporters that the details of how to pay for the proposal remain unresolved.

Gavin Newsom has no integrity, no ideas, no interest in doing what is best for the state of California. He only cares about his vapid political ambitions. Nothing more. He is a selfish progressive troll more interested in scoring points and other men's wives.

Please, California, we can do better than Cox!

That yes-and-no approach may encourage interest groups to write checks to the Newsom campaign in the hope that the wind will shift in their direction. But it leaves voters with no idea what the policies of his administration would be, or how much they will cost.

Actually, we can know what the cost will be. Gavin Newsom promised to sign an executive order which would give taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal aliens. He said that. He doesn't just want single-payer, he wants to hand out all the goodies to illegal aliens, full-on lawbreakers who are destroying our state and want to destroy the country.

This man is a thoughtless, lawless thug who has no business serving in any public capacity.

A government dominated by one party lacks the necessary checks and balances to ensure that policies are fully vetted before they become law. In California, that has too often led to reckless increases in spending, especially on pensions for government workers, creating endless pressure for tax increases at both the state and local level.

We need Republicans, real Republicans in Sacramento. No RINOs, no hacks, no "hell-no" politicos out for themselves and looking at some easy sinecure on a County Board of Supervisors when they leave Sacramento.

We need representatives who will care for the needs, the concerns of American citizens.

For perspective, in the time since Newsom was elected lieutenant governor, from 2011-12 to the current fiscal year, state general fund spending has ballooned over 61 percent from $86 billion to nearly $139 billion.

We spend too much money. Thank you, Demo-rats. We need more than balance, however. We need restoration of the rule of law, of natural rights, of individual liberty along with checks and balances in the better interests of the citizens, not illegal aliens, not special interests, not corrupt union bosses.

California needs steady economic growth and high-wage jobs to bring in the revenue required to pay its bills and build its future. That can’t be achieved with unsustainable government spending and even higher taxes. It certainly can’t be achieved if businesses are driven into the ground or out of the state by over-regulation, increased costs and uncertainty about future policies.

I wish that the local and statewide press would spend more time focusing on the unprecedented assault on our rights. I wish that elected officials would remember their oath of office to the United States Constitution and the California State Constitution. When will our elected officials remember that they work for us, not the other way around?

We can make them remember. We can start holding these elected frauds accountable and make them respond to our concerns once again. No more of this barren, brazen, broken-down disregard for the rule of law. Enough is enough.

Recent polls indicate that the race for governor has tightened and both sides say turnout will be key. Infrequent voters may come out to cast ballots for Proposition 6 to repeal the gas tax increase, and that would help Cox, who chaired the effort to qualify the measure and signed the ballot argument in support of it.

Let's face it. Part of the reason why we see the press groups favoring Republicans is that they see these candidates with more than a bare chance of winning.

Newsom might be helped by a surge of progressive Democrats who are hungry to seize control of the state party from established Democratic leaders like Sen. Dianne Feinstein. 

Dianne Feinstein is a disgrace like Kevin De Leon. They are both unrepentant left-wing frauds who spend money that they do not have, and they are actively undermining our lives and livelihoods as Americans. California is still very much America, folks, and we the people are actively proving these facts. The Democratic Party thought they could get away with running our state into the ground. They have brazenly defied federal law. They want us to pay for the entire world to overrun our borders. They put illegal aliens, welfare recipients, and felons ahead of law-abiding citizens and their families. All of this is wrong, and we cannot tolerate this abuse of power any longer.

All of this must cease, and everyone Californian needs to wake up and take a firm stand against all of this abuse and failure. We need to vote for John Cox, we need to Make California Great Again, and we need to ensure that the rule of law is restored, and our natural rights respected once again.

One growing group won’t be casting ballots. They’re the former California residents who will vote this year in Arizona, Nevada, Texas and other states where the cost of living in California no longer troubles them.

I refuse to leave. I will fight to the end, and we need John Cox in the Governor's mansion to help with our fight.

John Cox offers common-sense leadership that will encourage economic growth, expand housing opportunities and reverse the state’s affordability crisis. He has our endorsement for governor.

Steve Frank for CAGOP Chairman: Announcement of Volunteer Campaign

Dear Fellow Delegates:

Last week I sent a notice to all CRP delegates, announcing that I am a candidate for Chair of the Party.  We know that Chair Brulte is not running for re-election and we have an opportunity of creating a new paradigm for the Party while building on his efforts. To that end I included with my announcement my plan to take the CRP to the next level of competitiveness during this critical period for California.

As most of you know, I have been actively involved in the CRP and statewide politics for over fifty years and during this time I have witnessed candidates for Chair of the CRP spend upwards of $150,000 to be elected.  Personally, I believe this to be inappropriate, and even more so at a time when every dollar counts for our candidates for elective office.  I therefore will limit my fundraising to $14,000. representing a spending plan of $10 per delegate. Further, although I am not required to report the source of funding, and to be transparent, I will provide a report every week that details the source and amount of each donation.

My campaign is going to be totally voluntary.  I am not hiring a consultant or paying for consultants to collect proxies; nor will I ask the Caucuses or the California Republican Party to spend on my behalf.  I will not ask PAC’s to spend on my behalf—that money should go to elect Republicans to public office. The money they raise must go to candidates for the Legislature. 

To that end, if you wish to donate once I reach the $14,000 budget, I strongly ask you give that money to your favorite candidate or donate to the CRP, the Assembly or Senate Caucuses or the Congressional delegation.  Our goals are to elect people to public office, not Party office, right?

The two surveys I have sponsored over the past couple of weeks may give you an indication that I believe in seeking the views of all Delegates and Associates.  I also believe the Party should listen to its Members, not have the Members told how to think by the Party.  To that end, please do not wait for me to send out a survey to provide me your valuable insights and that of the members of the CRP. I value and will consider all your views, and recommendations, and be assured, this communication will not be one way. Diane Harkey for Congress: Trump Economy Growing in California

Wages Grew 9.2% in 49th District

In case you missed it, Reuters highlighted strong income growth in over a dozen U.S. Congressional Districts, one of these being our 49th District. Reuters' analysis of Census Bureau data that was released on Thursday shows a 6 percent increase of the median income in 14 battleground districts, more than 1 percent higher than the national median income increase. However, in District 49, the median income has increased by more than 9 percent.  "Reducing the tax burden and regulatory burden on job-creating businesses has created a very strong economy in our San Diego and Orange County District," said Diane Harkey.  Read the complete Reuters article on their website HERE.

Make California Great Again: Cox Gaining on Newsom in Latest Poll

This news is nothing short of incredible.

John Cox was seen as a nonentity who didn't have a chance after the June primary. Granted, pundits and activists across the country recognized that we need a Republican at the top of the ticket who would ensure a higher turnout across the state and help the down-ticket candidates.

Cox seems to have been MIA for a while.

Hopefully, this is going to change, and with good reason.

The latest polling indicates that many voters are still undecided about Gavin Newsom, and Cox is gaining ground!

Voter Survey Shows Cox Closing the Gap in Gubernatorial Race Against Newsom

SACRAMENTO — A newly released research poll from Opinion Research on Elections and Public Policy shows Republican John Cox is closing the gap between himself and Democrat Gavin Newsom in the race for California’s next Governor.

This is really good news. Who would have thought that this could be done?

Nine-hundred voters participated in the survey between August 29 and September 2.

The results show Newsom at 44 percent, Cox at 39 percent and 17 percent of voters are unsure.

With such a large share of undecided voters, there is a growing change for swing into action and win this fight. The Republican Governors Association is pledging money to help Cox as well as other Republican candidates in otherwise blue states.

The survey also shows Cox is well outperforming his GOP base – fewer than 25 percent of of California voters – and captures a similar percentage of the Latino voters as Newsom.

The two candidates are getting an equal share of the Hispanic vote at this time!

The election for Governor of California will be held on November 6. The winner will assume office on January 7, 2019.

This can be done.

We need everyone to put aside their bitterness and vote for John Cox for Governor.
