Haidar the Hypocrite Got Had in Mayor's Race, Smeared Tutor Who Helped Him Get Elected to City Council --- AND Still LOST!
In October of this year, I received an email from Mayor Alex Vargas of Hawthorne.
Just for sake of backround, Alex is a friend of mine. He has done great things for the city of Hawthorne, both as a city councilman and also as mayor. The city has a much better feel to it, and residents all over have told me that they love living in the city. At the very least, they like the fact that for the first time in nearly thirty years, they have a Mayor whom they can be proud of, who is not stealing food mixers from school cafeterias, or violating campaign finance laws, or stiffing landlords and political consultants while demanding to get some more "hot sauce, hot sauce."

Well, as expected, Alex is going to get attacked for doing a good job. The Democratic Political machine in Hawthorne does not like him. His biggest opponent was Haidar Awad, a city councilman who was elected in 2015, the same year that Alex Vargas became mayor.
And so they thought ... what better
He then shared with me this hit piece against him in his bid for re-election as mayor of Hawthorne:
WOW! I feel almost ... flattered!
There's a picture of me with three Hispanic Republicans, including Ruben Barrales, who was elected to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and has helped other Hispanic Republicans get elected to office. There's my other friend Suzanne Fuentes, who served for two terms as Mayor of El Segundo. She's awesome.
And there's Alex, too! Nice photo.
How interesting indeed, that this hit piece targets me as "anti-immigrant", when at that meeting in particularly (March 2016 of the Beach Cities Republicans), a number of immigrants were in attendance, too! But more on that later.
Of coursed, at the end of it all, this was a stupid hit piece. Most people in the city of Hawthorne have NO IDEA who I am. I hardly know anybody in the city, besides Alex and a few other activists.
And the funniest part about this -- I was running for State Assembly at the same time, and no one cared! No one bothered to smear me or target me as anti-immigrant or confront about my stance on illegal immigration.
Of course, the bigger irony is ... I was Haidar's speech coach when he ran for Hawthorne City Council in 2015!
Here's the proof:
Five years ago, I was working as a tutor for Tutor Doctor, based in Redondo Beach. Initially, I worked as a math tutor for Haidar's younger brother Hamza.
Then the company asked me to help Haidar himself with his speaking skills, since he was interested in running for city council in the city of Hawthorne!
And help him, I did!

And you know what the biggest irony of all is?
Haidar's parents are both immigrants! They both hired me to serve as tutor for their two sons. They both said that I did good work, too!
So, I am anti-immigrant, but I was hired by two immigrants. Really.
The most vindicating outcome from all of this, however, is that Mayor Alex is still mayor Alex. He won big time! And he deserved it. The city of Good Neighbors remains in good hands.
Haidar lost big time, and he deserved it. He spent big money, too, and STILL LOST! He smeared someone who had helped him get elected to city council--and he got what he deserved--HE LOST!

LA County for Trump Sweeps South Bay: No On SB 54
Since mid-March 2018, residents and patriots throughout the state of California have been pushing for their cities and counties to opt out of SB 54 in any way possible.
I have written a number of emails to my home town, the city of Torrance, urging them to take a stand beyond the letter which they had issued to the state legislature last year. For the last two months, I have attended meetings throughout the state.
It was surprising and wonderful to see SB 54 on the agenda for Lawndale City Council meeting on May 21, 2018.
Good news, and a number of people from our SoCal team joined me. Two people I know who live in the city of Lawndale also joined us.
Our team showed up with strong numbers to make our case to the city council to go forward and do everything in their power to oppose SB 54.

An element of fear may have settled on the city council, since Lawndale, like many cities in the South Bay, wants to remain relatively quiet, out of the spotlight, and focus on local issues.
Councilman Dan Reid did bring forth the issue, however, and pressed onto the public this weighty matter. The rest of his colleagues were disinterested at the time.
The sheriff on duty for the city reported that SB 54 does not affect their policing in any way. I begged to differ, as did many other people in the audience with us. Why would they police claim that SB 54 has no harm or places no limitation on their capacity to serve the community, when the legislation protects illegal alien criminals and allows them to spill out onto our streets once again?!
Two people from the city of Lawndale, Lee and Jean Wiltfong, want an end to all sanctuary jurisdiction policies. Two other people from the city of Lawndale tried to shame us as racists and out-of-towners. The truth is that every city which refuses to take a stand against SB 54 is tacitly complying with it, and such a policy endangers all of us.
Mayor Pullen-Miles violated the Ralph M. Brown Act when he asked every person speaking at the podium to share their name and their residence. Such a requirement violates the opening meeting laws, in that anyone in the public is free to speak on the agenda item or any other issue which comes before the city council. On a side note, the city attorney interrupted me during general public comment when I was speaking about the Second Amendment and other issues in the news. I corrected her briefly, then returned to my other remarks at the dais. It seemed to me that the city attorney and the city council by their silence were more interested in little talk or commentary from the public as possible.
The night rounded up with little fanfare after our company's comments at the podium against SB 54. We spoke our peace, but the rest of the city council said and did nothing. There are two Republicans on that city council, including Ms. Bernadette Suarez--who was recently appointed to the position. For her to say nothing was a great disappointment to me.
Notwithstanding our disappointment, LA County for Trump rejoiced because new people joined our team and we made a statement to another section of the South Bay that we want the rule of law restored, and we want our law enforcement to work as fully as possible with their federal partners.
Tuesday, May 22---Three City Sweep in the South Bay
I decided that I wanted to target three cities in the South Bay on May 22nd. I was really invested in spreading this conversation as far as possible. Why Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, and then Torrance? Three years ago, I had visited all three city council meetings without hesitation or difficulty and spoke at all three council meetings without a problem.
It was an aggressive agenda, but LA County for Trump got it done. I was so proud, so honored that all of my fellow Trump MAGA-nauts could help us get it done!

Hawthorne
Many people don't know about Hawthorne, a city situated five miles south of the LAX airport, but the city has an interesting history. The Beach Boys lived in this city and began their musical career here. Celebrity shock-jock dope-opera star Gorgeous George served the city as a milkman before moving into silly stardom. Even Marilyn Monroe lived in the area before hitting it big.
Like Lawndale, Hawthorne has two Republicans on the city council: Olivia Valentine and Alex Vargas, the current mayor. They don't hide their affiliation, but they spend more time attending to local issues to ensure the best quality of life for the community. Slowly but surely, the city council is navigating out of financial troubles and putting a better face and front on a city long scared by internal dissension and scandal, including the three previous mayors who were forced to step down because of corruption, and the third lost re-election to Alex Vargas because of personal and professional malfeasance.
Our team showed up in Hawthorne ready to make a difference, to make the case for the City of Good Neighbors to opt out of SB 54, just as 40 other jurisdictions had done up and down the state.
The more that we have attended these meetings, the more effective has our message become. People may not agree with what we have to say, but we are not afraid to speak our peace and make the case for what is in the best interests of the city of Hawthorne, but also for every citizen and the entire state.
Elsa Aldeguer wows everyone, she is not afraid to show her love for our President. Her courage make it easier for everyone to speak out for Trump, no matter their background.

The city council was receptive and kind. Alex Vargas ran the meeting very well, and he even engaged in some playful banter with some of our team.
At the end of our speeches, we went outside for a photo--and one of the audience members who had not come with us joined our photo! A Hawthorne resident and Trump Supporter was glad that we had attended the meeting!
LA County for Trump goes to deeply Democratic areas in part because we want to encourage more people to be free to support President Trump in these cities. The gentleman on the far left above, wearing the plaid shirt and brown pants, talked with members of our team for fifteen minutes after I drove to our next destination!
Hermosa Beach
This city has become one of the most liberal, wannabe San Francisco regions in the South Bay, second only to Manhattan Beach, since that city just to the north of Hermosa Beach has spent more time tackling plastic straws than illegal immigration and pension liabilities.
At any rate, LA County for Trump actually received a warm reception at the city council chambers, even though every member of the council is a staunch left-wing progressive. The city council has become so left-leaning, that Jeff Duclos has become the most conservative or the most reasonable member of the council, and even he opposed the oil-drilling initiative while trying to claim a non-partisan stance on the matter.
Before I even entered the chambers, a father and his son greeted me warmly: "Yes! Make America Great Again!" It was good to know that we had support going in. Lots of people attended the meeting on another set of issues, but they applauded our comments against SB 54, too.
Other people joined us all the way from Orange County, too, along with Darlene Savord. John Willis came from Ontario, but does work in Hermosa Beach, so he has some connections to the area.

I saw some familiar faces at the Hermosa Beach City Council meeting, including Liz Torres, who worked at the grocery store where I had worked a few years back. She is a great operations manager, by the way. Tracy Hopkins was also there, focusing on the Big Green Agenda which has taken over the city and is pushing Hermosa Beach closer to insolvency.
The residents in this small community are waking up to the misuse of resources. One resident berated a city councilmember--who she had supported--because he was injecting national politics to shame the residents. "You're asking more questions than the Meuller investigation" was the effect of the comments. The residents are well-informed and more active than most cities, especially with the growing encroachment of state power while more of the city gets turned over the county. Some residents fear that the city's pension liabilities are so great that the elected leaders are just pushing the city further into the hands of the county until the city disincorporates itself.
Despite these somber realities, the citizens are waking up and making a difference and more people are opposing SB 54 throughout the South Bay every day.
Torrance
Ever since Los Alamitos passed their Constitution Compliance ordinance, I have been contacting my city council to opt out of SB 54. The council issued a letter to the state legislature opposing the bill, but once the law passed, the councilmembers have remained silent. They should be joining with their sister cities and counties to oppose SB 54 and join the lawsuit with the DOJ or Huntington Beach. I want them to pass their own Constitution Compliance ordinance, too, but nothing doing so far.
For the next two months, I tried to find the best time to go to Torrance AND bring my fellow LA County for Trump supporters with me. Furthermore, I wanted to invite Torrance residents to speak out on the matter.

We had to wait until 11:45pm to speak during public comment, since the second opportunity to speak to the city council takes place when all the other items on that city council meeting's agenda have been taken care of.
It's a real problem, but part of the reason why I invited the rest of our team to tackle the other cities first before going to Torrance.

Final Reflection
LA County for Trump is a tight family, a growing community of activists.
I was honored that all of them were willing to join me in the fight against SB 54 in more cities in the county, all while tallying up more victories in other parts of the state.
We visited four cities in two days, and we were well-received in all of them. Even if the different councils haven't taken the next steps yet, they know what we want, and they know that more people are on board to get this movement against sanctuary cities and sanctuary state off the ground.

Growing Decline of Media: Reading About Hawthorne in ... the OC Register?
Now this is a new media low.
Already, local papers are getting bought out because of declining sales, revenue, adds, readers, etc.
Now, it's gotten to the point where newspapers with one kind of title are promoting stories from other counties, which have no clear connection to the readers in that area.
Case in point:
Here is the top section of the OC Register eblast highlighting the top stories for November 8, 2017.
Notice that the second story focuses on the death of a dog, murdered by the owner, who lives in ... Hawthorne?
Hawthorne, California is in the South Bay section of Los Angeles County.
That's not Orange County, people. Why would Orange County readers by learning about this animal cruelty incident? The story is not large or noteworthy enough to have a widespread expansion in a paper. This makes no sense at all.
What are we witnessing, then?
The mainstream liberal corporate media is running out of money, revenue, readership, and now relevance. It looks like the entire Southern California News Group is running out of reporters, too, since they can't pay them anymore. They have to poach stories from Los Angeles County to have something to print in an Orange County newspaper.
Really? The whole news group is falling into decline.

WINNING: Unholy LGBT Bully Shames Me for Telling Truth About LGBT
The winning never ends, especially when LGBT bigots get all riled up because I speak the truth about issues.
The truth is that there are no sins which God's grace cannot overcome, and no sin which will keep man from being drawn out of death and brought into life. The problem, however, is that grace takes out of the power of sin and brings us into Jesus Himself, for He is our life (Colossians 3:4):
"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." (Romans 6:14)
If we are under grace, the grace of God which causes us to reign in life (Romans 5:17), then we cease identifying with sin, and we do not find ourselves living as slaves to sin.
That includes sexual perversion, which includes homosexuality.
Consider that God makes us new creations in His Son:
"9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
We are not called to death, but to life. So, for any of the persuasion that we can live in Christ and also identify as homosexuals, bisexuals, etc--they do not understand the riches of God's grace, or they do not believe on Him at all. They are professors, but not possessors of God's grace through Jesus Christ.
All of this brings me to the latest rond of hatred against the true and strong stance for life, gender truth, and family: Unholy Bully Alvin McEwen.

Arthur Christopher Schaper is not known to many, but those who do know him regard him as a nuisance. The Los Angeles Times calls him " . . .the Trump backer leading the resistance to the resistance in California"
Hence the video below of him showing the "outrageous" things a children's library is doing to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month." This video was shot by Schaper in June can in fact be called outrageous but for its banality and basic stupidity. Come on, guy! Where's the beef?
The truth is that there are no sins which God's grace cannot overcome, and no sin which will keep man from being drawn out of death and brought into life. The problem, however, is that grace takes out of the power of sin and brings us into Jesus Himself, for He is our life (Colossians 3:4):
"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." (Romans 6:14)
If we are under grace, the grace of God which causes us to reign in life (Romans 5:17), then we cease identifying with sin, and we do not find ourselves living as slaves to sin.
That includes sexual perversion, which includes homosexuality.
Consider that God makes us new creations in His Son:
"9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
We are not called to death, but to life. So, for any of the persuasion that we can live in Christ and also identify as homosexuals, bisexuals, etc--they do not understand the riches of God's grace, or they do not believe on Him at all. They are professors, but not possessors of God's grace through Jesus Christ.
All of this brings me to the latest rond of hatred against the true and strong stance for life, gender truth, and family: Unholy Bully Alvin McEwen.

Arthur Christopher Schaper is not known to many, but those who do know him regard him as a nuisance. The Los Angeles Times calls him " . . .the Trump backer leading the resistance to the resistance in California"
What?
The Los Angeles Times article was a clear hit piece, no one contends otherwise. I had to force the journalist covering me to backtrack on one report after another incident in Cudahy, CA.
Anyway, why is this guy going after me, if I am not that well-known to begin with?
And that's not his only endeavor:
Schaper is involved with numerous right-wing groups, including MassResistance, an anti-LGBTQ organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled a hate group. He said financial support from MassResistance helps fund his activism.
Hence the video below of him showing the "outrageous" things a children's library is doing to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month." This video was shot by Schaper in June can in fact be called outrageous but for its banality and basic stupidity. Come on, guy! Where's the beef?

June 17th, 2017: Car Accident in Hawthorne, CA
Just before heading home, I was walking through the Hollyglen section of Hawthorne, CA.
I could see the alarm lights on a police vehicle shining down Isis Ave.
What was going on?
A car had driven off the road and crashed into the wall of a house on the corner of 141st Street and Isis Ave:
Wow!
The police were on the scene, and a tow truck was ready to haul the vehicle off the property.
Pretty crazy, considering that crime and delinuency are relatively minimal in that area of Hawthorne:
Be careful driving out there, folks!

A Republican Dilemma: Furutani or Bradford?
In the Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale regions of the South Bay, Republicans face a daunting dilemma.
Their state senate district, SD-35, draws up along the Alameda Corridor, from San Pedro to South Los Angeles. Compton and Carson round out the eastern section of the district.
Indeed, the district is heavily Democratic.
For Election 2016, the voters faced three Democrats and one Republican in the primary.
Now they have two choose between two liberal Democrats for state senate:
Warren Furutani or Steve Bradford.
What has happened to this region? Shouldn't voters get a real choice? Instead, it's Left and More Left.
This is not good.
So, what is to be done?
Steve Bradford is the machine pick. Furutani is the outsider ... of sorts. He has served on the Community College Board, the Los Angeles Unified Board of Education, and in the State Assembly.
Bradford sat on the Gardena City Council. He loves to tout that he was the first African-American elected to the Gardena City Council.
He also got into a fight with an ice cream truck driver.
Is this the kind of insanity that we need in Sacramento?
Bradford has also promoted redistribution of wealth on a number of flyers.
You can be sure that Bradford will be jumping for another office very soon.
When Maxine Waters retires--or dies in office--Bradford will be one of the candidates lining up to take her place in Washington DC. After all, that's what Isadore Hall did as soon as Janice Hahn announced that she was retiring from Congress (where she has to tolerate sitting in the minority).
So, what do you do?
If I lived in the district, I am not sure I would vote for either candidate.
They are just too liberal for me. They want to take people's guns away. They want to tax and spend more of our money to redistribute to hard-core depends and create a generational funnel of votes to stay in power.
For all the Democratic dominance in the region, what do the residents of these communities have to show for their representatives' efforts?
This issue of constituent service is the dividing line for many prospective voters.
Elected officials in the region, and political pundits who follow the currents, say that Furutani is the slightly better choice than Bradford.
After all, the former Gardena Democrat has all the machine money behind. He does not need to network with voters in order to elections. Big Labor can roll out big money and hand him the seat.
Or at least that is what he thinks.
Lest I forget to mention ... Furutani represented Gardena in the state assembly, too.

He is the more "progressive" Democrat, the liberal without stops who will do everything in his power to ensure that the trees are protected, no matter what the cost. He is more like the Tea Party of the Left, principled, an ideologue in the mold of Barack Obama.
Steve Bradford is the Hillary Clinton candidate: all about the money, all about the power, all about himself.
And a lot of people do not like the man. Some officials have recounted to me the disrespect which they endured because of this man's selfish behavior. For now, I am merely recounting what they had shared with me.
I can say however, that I witnessed Bradford, a guess at one Democratic club meeting, spend a lot of time talking and taking the attention away from the invited guest speakers. Such behavior is unacceptable.
Among Democratic lawmakers, those motivated by principle, progressivism, or personal slights have lined up behind Furutani.
If I were a Democrat, I would choose principle over moneyed power at any time.
The Japanese-American--educator as well as elected official--is more personable in general.
Voters and elected officials tell me that Furutani would answer their phone calls.
Furutani also attends public events. I saw him at the hearings focused on the Torrance Refinery. He also attended the swearing-in of new elected officials in Hawthorne, California following the November 2015 Elections.
He shows up to things. He answers people's phone calls. He is willing to talk to people.
If those issues matter to you, and you want to stop the Democratic political machine in its tracks, vote for Warren Furutani for State Senate.
