Redevelopment is a Private Matter

The State of California needs to stop spending money to make money.

Private business can make the necessary decisions, impose the necessary cuts, and hire the people looking for work.

Do we really want bureaucrats in Sacramento, who cannot even pass a balanced budget without accounting tricks and empty gimmicks?

For all of its wrangling and attempts at redevelopment, what the residents of the state of California have is nothing but blight and bust in many parts of Los Angeles.

Redevelopment Agencies have done anything but waste money without shame or deference. We need less government, more private initiative, more individual ingenuity in this state.

Political greed will always turn a good idea into a bad reality. Private greed -- the individual drive for profit -- will always turn a good idea into a corporate and community benefit for everyone.
