Obama Moves for Less Government -- Another View -- Part II

Could President Obama be the Limited Government executive that the Tea Party has longed for for so long?

Perhaps the current Vanity-in-Chief, driven by a need for a legacy, will be the first president in modern history to cut spending, cut government, and cut state intervention out of the lives of the American people.

Of course, this characterization seems improbable to many, since the current president has overseen one of the largest expansions of the government in recent history, including the outrageous health insurance mandate of ObamaCare.

Yet in the past few months, the president has had to rescind certain portions of the entitlement. He has also been forced to explain to voters and Congress that the middle class will receive a decent entitlement as well, even though the monstrous legislation was originally enacted to assist the poor who cannot afford health insurance by subsidizing them with fines from those who refuse to get medical insurance for themselves. This Ponzi scheme is sure to undo the federal government even further, perhaps pushing the multi-trillion dollar national debt by five trillion more dollars.

Now, President Obama is requesting a broad power, only enacted once before by President Reagan, to consolidate six departments under one heading, thus ending the b bureaucratic hurdles and the miasma of paperwork that has frustrated entrepreneurs from investing and expanding their operations. Pro-business, ant-waste, and reading the thoughts and intent of the Tea Party movement, Obama may have enough political sense and savvy to take advantage of the national repudiation of his petulant progressivism and rule by the rule of law -- at least to make something of his stay in office.

And what if the current Regressive Progressive refuses to enact any changes? If he chooses to pout in the Oval Office and veto every piece of legislation that crosses his desk, then perhaps a galvanized GOP majority in both the House and the Senate will have the political will and skill to override his vetoes. In this fashion the nation may get their wish of repealing ObamaCare, despite the loud protestations of the political class.
