John Cox for Governor: Speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition (Photos and Video)

The Republican Jewish Coalition hosted a meet-n-greet with John Cox, the Republican nominee for Governor of the State of California.

Cox speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition

I was invited through a friend, since the event sold out of tickets within a relatively short amount of time.

I didn't know what to expect, although I can't say that I was completely impressed with Cox' presentation.

He offered the argument that he would spend much of his time reaching out to Independents and disaffected Democrats. That argument makes sense, since he needs a majority, and Decline-to-State/Independent Voters are now greater than Republicans in terms of registration.

Can Cox turn around the terrible falling trajectory of the state of California?

Let's hope so!

In front of the Orange County Superior Court Civil Complex Center. This is where complicated civil lawsuit cases are litigated. The first hearing for the case was scheduled for July 27, 2018.

The ACLU and the plaintiff against Los Alamitos, the Los Alamitos Community United, had scheduled a press conference that was to be held at 12noon on 7/27/18 before the 1:30pm hearing. However, when supporters of Los Alamitos arrived at the press conference location, it was discovered the ACLU case against Los Alamitos had been postponed.

Inside the courthouse, Arthur Schaper met with a rather unfriendly clerk who told him the ACLU case against Los Alamitos had been postponed.  Apparently, the judge had recused herself because of a conflict of interest. No information about the conflict was available.

A new hearing date will be scheduled for the ACLU lawsuit against Los Alamitos.

The Los Alamitos supporters staged a rally opposing the Sanctuary State Law since the ACLU press conference had been cancelled. There were passersby in support of the rally and Trump!

Vaughn Becht was at the rally and he wrote:

LA Times Should Eat Crow, Respect Our President's Accomplishments

The front page of the July 28th, 2018 edition of the Los Angeles Times contained a number of articles highlighting the accomplishments of our President, Donald J. Trump.

His executive orders to roll back scores of useless, onerous regulations have helped jumpstart a lagging economy. The tax reform legislation which he signed into law last year has brought in unparalleled growth and investment. That’s why the GDP is growing at 4.1%, something which the so-called experts and Democratic Party candidates said never could be done.

The Trump Administration’s extensive crackdown on sex trafficking and pedophile rings has exposed leading men (and women) guilty of sexual misconduct. Now that the Clinton Political Smear Machine is dead, these malefactors no longer get away with their crimes, including Les Moonves.

Finally, North Korea is returning America’s war dead from the Korean War. Previous Presidents spent more time appeasing North Korea’s belligerent international terrorism. President Trump imposed severe sanctions and forced “Rocket Man” Kim Jong-Un to the negotiating table.

Instead of repeatedly shaming President Trump’s accomplishments, newspapers like the Los Angeles Times should eat a little crow and acknowledge that Trump is Making America Great Again, and his policies will continue to do so.

Who is America? Better Than Arrogant, Unfunny Sasha Baron Cohen

The Jewish Journal writer Eli Flank claims that comedian Sasha Baron Cohen has exposed “the fringe elements in our society.”

Uh, no.

Cohen has exposed what he really is: an arrogant, unfunny left-wing elitist desperate to shore up his diminishing media market presence.

Critics have panned his "Who is America" show at its premier. Why? It isn't funny to skewer innocent, people, regardless of their political views. Cohen is not a comic but a borish bully.

If anything, Baron Cohen's undercover forays into American life reveal how charitable and hospitable Americans are, especially to would-be foreigners unfamiliar with different American viewpoints.

Of course, Americans fight back when they see a shameful scam attempting to mock them.

I notice that The Jewish Journal didn’t report on gun-store owner Norris Sweidan from Riverside, CA. Last year, Cohen targeted Sweidan’s gun store to prank him and thus disparage the Second Amendment in the process. Within minutes, the gun store owner figured out who was behind the make-up of a Hungarian immigrant trying to purchase a gun.

Cohen fled from the store, abandoning his producer and the camera crew, but the press is picking it up and reporting it.

Now that’s funny—and gratifying!

The Folly of the Experts: 4% GDP and More On the Way

and then:

They said it couldn't be done.

President Trump and the Republican Congressman made it happen!

Businessman have a better acumen for things. They realize that no matter how deep their current knowledge base, factors out of their control remain in play, and they have to plan and respond accordingly.

Intellectuals think they know how the world works, and they want the world to work a certain way in accordance with their views, with their mindset that "This is how things should work out."

The intellectuals are often wrong, and they are wrong because they operate from a set of stodgy, preconceived notions which never respond to changing information.

Trump knows that there are rules to the marketplace, and one of the rules is that the set rules can shift or change over time. Trump understands this, and his ability to play off these changing circumstances enrages a lot of people.

But it's doing good for the public as a whole.

Oregon GOP: Death of a Nation Coming to Beaver State Theaters

In some ways, I feel sorry for Oregon residents.

The state has not had a Republican governor in thirty years. They state has been dominated by Democratic policies for much longer than California.

The illegal immigration is creeping up all over the state, too.

On the other hand, the voters successful repealed drivers licenses for illegal aliens. Another initiative is on the ballot to repeal the sanctuary state laws enacted by Governor Kate Brown--and that law is likely to pass, too.

On top of that, another initiative will cut off medicaid funds for abortions if it passes, too.

Then I get eblasts like this, and these events give me hope that other states along the Left Coast can be great again:

Inspired by the turbulent events of post-2016 presidential election America, Dinesh D'Souza's Death of a Nation reveals an eerie similarity between the situations faced by President Trump now and the situations faced by President Lincoln in 1860. The film demonstrates how Trump can use the example of Lincoln to shut down the Democratic plantation once and for all. To learn more about the film, visit: https://www.deathofanationmovie.com/

Pomona, CA: Overwhelmed Crime Hub Because of the Sanctuary State Ordinance

I receive press releases and updates from MyNewsLA.com on a daily basis.

It seemed to me that the city of Pomona has an inordinate number of crimes erupting in the city.

Keep in mind that in late December, Pomona passed a special sanctuary state ordinance in the city to ensure compliance with California's lawless sanctuary state law SB 54.

While looking over a casual Google search, it is unmistakable that Pomona has turned into an overwhelmed crime hub.

Here's a statement from AreaVibes:

When looking at violent crimes, Pomona, CA has 12% higher than violent crime rate than California average, while remaining 29% higher than the national average. In property crime, Pomona, CA is 19% higher than the average of California and is 24% higher than the national average.

Check out some of the reports below, just from January 1 2018 to today:

January 7, 2018: “Pomona Police Major Crimes Task Force Conducts Operation

January 29, 2018: ‘That Person Tore a Piece of My Soul Out’: Wife of Pomona Man Stabbed to Death in [Pomona] Parking Lot Seeks Justice

February 14, 2018: Bicyclist hit by truck and killed in Pomona

March 1, 2018: 6 arrested in latest prostitution sweep in Pomona in well-known area

May 22, 2018: Pomona man arrested for human trafficking

May 23, 2018: Dozens of Los Angeles-area gang members arrested in major FBI raid in Pomona

May 29, 2018: Man charged with shooting at Pomona SWAT team in Azusa

May 31, 2018: College Wrestling Standout Critically Injured in Pomona Gas Station

June 6, 2018: 3 arrested, shooter still sought in Pomona robbery, shooting

June 23, 2018: Police: Two known gang members arrested after pursuits in Pomona, guns recovered

June 29, 2018: Cal Poly Pomona Parking Officer Fatally Stabbed, Suspect Killed

July 16, 2018: Pomona police investigate man's shooting death

Notice how Pomona is not much of a sanctuary.

In fact, it gets an F for its horrible crime statistics, and is now listed as one of the most dangerous cities in California.

But wait! Didn't Pomona pass a sanctuary state ordinance to help comply with the Sanctuary State Law SB 54?

So much for Pomona as a sanctuary city of any kind.

We the People Rising Rally in Santa Ana Against Sanctuary State (Photos and Video)

July 27th, 2018.

The lawsuit ACLU vs. The City of Los Alamitos was supposed to proceed this day at the Orange County Superior Court, Civil Complex in Department CX104.

Media reports had contacted different leaders in the Trump/MAGA movement to inform them about what was going on and to find spokesmen on the event to get their take.

To recap, the city of Los Alamitos passed an ordinance officially opting out of compliance with SB 54, California's Sanctuary State law. The second reading for the ordinance took place on April 16th, and immediately the ACLU filed a lawsuit demanding that the city reverse its ordinance and comply with state law.

Two of the city councilmembers met with President Trump along with other elected officials and county sheriffs to discuss their frustration and ask for help.

In the meantime, the lawsuit has proceeded, yet for some reason the California Attorney General has chosen not to file his own lawsuit against the charter city located in the southwestern corner of Orange County.

We the People Rising arrived at the court's civil complex right in the heart of Downtown Santa Ana:

I went into the courthouse to get more information about the court hearing.

The court clerk was not very helpful, and she directed me to look up the information on my own.

I found out the following information initially:

For whatever reason, the original judge recused herself from presiding over the case. The day before, another hearing took place to assign another judge to preside over the case, but no other information was provided on the matter.

One media report had informed me that the trial hearing was postponed until a later date.

When I spoke to the clerk a third time, since I had a case number by then, she informed me that there was no hearing on the ACLU case, and that no future hearing had been scheduled yet.

The media did show up, though, and We the People Rising followed after them to speak with the Orange County Sheriff:

The sheriff wasn't too keen on speaking with us, but that did not deter anyone of us from confronting him.

It still rankles me that law enforcement officers will explain their stance on SB 54 when they say "This is not about immigrants in the community. This is about criminals." When they say 'immigrants', do they mean legal or illegal? The fact that they are playing into the same language distortion, blurring the distinctions between lawful and lawless is quite disturbing.

At the time, I didn't realize that we were talking to the Orange County Sheriff, but now that Sarah Hutchens is retiring, her undersheriff Don Barnes will be running against challenger Duke Nguyen.

Barnes is a the heavy favorite, since he has the backing of the outgoing Sheriff, plus the fact the he continues to serve as the face of the County Sheriff's Department before the media and to the public.

We the People Rising were somewhat pleased that the Los Alamitos lawsuit faced another delay, but at the same time we have to wait and wonder how this legal challenge will play through. If the federal lawsuit against California's three major sanctuary state laws plays out in our favor, then the ACLU lawsuit will collapse.

In the meantime, we continued to show our support for ICE and for law enforcement against the abuse of our nation's sovereignty and public safety:
