“Christ is King” is Not Enough

 

Kings made a comeback last year, when Queen Elizabeth passed away, after serving as the longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. Bonny Prince Charlie became King Charles III, putting aside the randy (and bloody) reputations of the previous Charles.

“Christ is King” has become a political rally cry, as well, especially among the populist, nationalist, traditionalist set taking over the GOP. I understand the desire for a restoration of our nation’s Judeo-Christian heritage. The revivals breaking out in Kentucky and Tennessee attest to this nation’s hunger for moral order and meaning.

Yet I must submit to this the Body of Christ in America, and to the political operatives seeking to make a difference in our governance: “Christ is King” is not enough.

It’s a great slogan, but Jesus, when He came to this earth in an earthen vessel, did not come to lord his kingship over us. First of all, He didn’t have to. As we sing “Silent Night” every Christmas, Jesus was “Lord at His birth.”

If we really want to honor Jesus, if we want to honor our Lord as Lord, we need to see him as Savior.

“America First” is a nice hobby, and it makes people feel good. But how do you define America, if there is no restoration of our Anglo-American legal tradition, or more importantly our Judeo-Christian heritage, which culminates in the profession of the Gospel?

America’s Massive Debt to Donald Trump The all-too predictable RINO campaign to defeat Donald Trump’s bid for the White House in 2024, before it has even been formally announced, has begun. Interestingly, it features as its leading argument that Ron DeSantis would make a better president and wouldn’t have all the “divisive” and distracting baggage that Trump has. We’re expected to believe that the RINOs actually want DeSantis as president, when all they really want is a Trump/DeSantis primary-season bloodbath so the White House will stay Blue and they can keep their lucrative posts as willingly-controlled “opposition” and preserve the corrupt cozy collegiality of the Purple Uniparty.  Does anyone really doubt that Mitch McConnell deliberately sabotaged the MAGA takeover of the US Senate to preserve his own place and power? Does anyone really believe that the light-in-the-loafers Lincoln Project perverts would willingly let “Don’t Say Gay” DeSantis get within a hundred miles of the presidency? No, the dump Trump to crown Ron is a bait-and switch con game trolling for suckers. Donald Trump is not going away and the only thing that will come from the effort to dump him is an expansion of the list of people we know can’t be trusted to defend the constitution and Truth itself: some because they never stood on principle in the first place and others because they are otherwise good people who nevertheless allowed themselves to be duped into the role of useful idiots even AFTER having their eyes opened to election fraud, the plandemic and other serious crimes of the elites.   Every virtue-loving American, but especially the latter group being lured into the RINO trap, should remember one essential fact: Donald Trump doesn’t need to win another election to legally and morally deserve a second term in the White House. HE ALREADY EARNED IT IN 2020!! The Usurper-in-Chief occupying the Oval Office is a filthy traitor whose every pronouncement is a pack of lies, and whose very presence behind the presidential podium is an act of contempt for the citizens of this country and our constitution.   America owes Donald Trump a second term in the same way that a government run impound yard owes a new car to a victim whose own car was stolen while under government protection. Our election system has a legal and moral duty to conduct free and fair elections and to ensure the rightful winner is seated after an honest, objective and transparent review of the votes cast by legally qualified citizens only. That process was hijacked and grossly abused by a vast network of conspirators of both parties, united by a visceral hatred of Trump so intense that it justified in their warped minds the greatest political crime in world history: a literal regime-change coup in the most powerful nation on earth and a cover-up of that crime which continues to this very day using every possible weapon and tactic in their considerable arsenal. Not even the United States Supreme Court could stand against that conspiracy, as all the many highly meritorious lawsuits were derailed on cynical procedural pretexts – even the ones that reached the Supremes.   And yet, by the sheer persistence of one of the most remarkable men ever born on this earth, that conspiracy – intended as an American version of the Reichstag fire – has been exposed, explained and partially extinguished in the build-up to the 2022 midterms.    Every honest, educated citizen in America knows that Donald Trump won the 2020 election, and by the time he is finally inaugurated in January of 2025, the entire world will know that as well – with all the evidence laid out clearly on the table for all to see, along with a list of those awaiting prosecution to the fullest extent of the law – some of them deserving the death penalty for treason. The MAGA movement in the House of Representatives and throughout the citizenry will pursue that mission with a passion for truth, justice and the American way that would put Superman to shame.    Donald Trump doesn’t have to earn his second term a second time, but he will. Only an act of God telling him not to run, or assassination by the elites, will stop that from happening.  The best thing that Ron DeSantis could do to ensure his own future presidency is to stand down in the 2024 race and instead make himself Donald’s Trump’s wing-man, showing himself to be the obvious and deserving “heir to the chair” through loyalty and the proactive exportation of Florida policy victories to other conservative states. DeSantis should work the states, while Trump works the feds. DeSantis should state clearly that 2024 belongs to Trump by right and that he will do all in his power to ensure he isn’t cheated again by the Uniparty.   Our debt to Donald Trump is far greater than just the seat he already earned. We owe him our eternal gratitude for keeping the Clinton crime family out of the White House. Hillary would have done infinitely more harm to America than the feckless boob Biden has been able to do as Obama’s handicapped avatar. I said back in 2017 that our debt to Trump for that one gift alone would have justified him spending his entire presidency vacationing on the golf-course.   But Trump rolled up his sleeves and began shoveling the Augean stables like Hercules, winning many fabulous prizes he presented to us as gifts. The Yuuge list of policy accomplishments is a gift that keeps on giving despite Biden’s best efforts. Trump’s exposure of the deep state and all its minions to public scrutiny is a priceless gift, as is his continuing willingness to do bare-knuckle battle with them on our behalf. His healthy governance by example instead of just by theory was deeply inspirational to the entire conservative movement, top-to-bottom. We would never have received the gift of Ron DeSantis, or Glenn Youngkin, or Kari Lake without Trump first busting up the frozen wasteland of patronage politics like an Arctic icebreaker. We never would have seen the grassroots erupt like a wildfire in a meadow in school-boards across America if not for Trump. We never would have seen the weasel Roberts lose his swing-voter kingship at SCOTUS without Trump.   This list could go on and on. I’m not going to offer the standard platitude about Trump being a flawed man like the rest of us, because he’s NOT like the rest of us. Only Donald Trump could have brought America back from the precipice of Marxist hell in 2016, and only Donald Trump can finish that job. He is absolutely perfect for the task God has assigned to him, warts and all, and America owes him a massive debt. Admitting that and fully backing his campaign (should he choose to climb back on that bronco and not hand the reins to Ron early) is the very least we can do.

The Tragedy of "Free Speech" Miscreant Amos Yee

Amos Yee, Singaporean Blogger turned Pedophile Advocate
Turned convicted criminal

For the last two years, I have been following the perverse tragedy of Amos Yee.

A refugee from Singapore, Yee ran afoul of his country's strict laws regarding freedom of expression. In Singapore, one can face stiff fines or even jail time for insulting or wounding religious or ethnic sensibilities,

In 2015, Yee did exactly that, even though he was still a minor. He produced a number of videos denouncing Singapore's Founding Father Lee Kwan Yew. His rhetoric included a great deal of vile cursing and vulgar statements, as well. He also called Jesus Christ a fraud, and he even shared a picture of Lee Kwan Yew in bed with Margaret Thatcher, mocking the Founder's pro-free market economic policies.

He ended up spending over 50 days in jail for his hateful remarks. At the same time, he turned into a cause celebre among the liberal elites in Singapore, and even some free-speech activists in the United States.

Fearing that he would be jailed again if he shared his views further, he fled Singapore and sought refuge in the United States in 2018. President Trump attempted to block his asylum application, but a federal judge in Chicago granted his request, and so Yee was allowed to stay.

For the next year, he toured the "conservative" free speech circuit, shocking audiences with his radical, even licentious, criminal views on speech. He became an actual advocate for pedophilia! Disgusting, but true. He even shared that people should be allowed to threaten immediate and immiment violent threats. The United States has a very liberal policy when it comes to freedom of speech, no doubt. Mr. Yee would not have faced prison time for writing vile things about different religions or the founders of any country.

However, even the United States, whether in state or federal statute, does not permit individuals to make immediate, provocate, dire violent threats against others. Such threats are indeed taken very seriously.

The greatest alarm comes from his active, flippant, extremely disturbing endorsement of pedophilia. He actually argued that child can consent to sexual relationships with adults, and that such relationships should be legal. So-called conservative influencers and commentators, like the ones above, gave him free access to spew his views. Frankly, freedom of speech is essential for hashing out views and for allowing people to critique and challenge ideas and ideologies that they favor or disapprove.

Yet the situation with Amos Yee was different. By the time he arrived in the United States, he had become an adult. But before then, as a minor, he had been proppped up in all kinds of ways, enabled to speak his mind, to speak evil of dignities, to defy mores and traditions. Many activists on the cultural and political left celebrated this twerp.

But I sensed what a number of people also shared with me on an individual basis: this Amos Yee child was a very troubled young man, to say the least. He was clearly very bitter, angry. He wanted to lash out at all authority. In his interview with Dave Rubin, he was still a minor living in Singapore. His mother was busy doing housework behind the scenes. Where was his father? Did either of his parents have enough sense to discipline their child and teach him manners, to respect the laws in his country--or at the very least, prepare him for the legal fallout for expressing his views?

Why were national speakers and commentators giving this disturbed, disrespectful kid a platform? How was any of this going to help the cause of spreading freedom of speech or ensuring that the Singapore government would grant full recognition and protection for freedom of speech? How would this help the cause of spreading and assuring freedom of speech in the United States or the rest of the Western world?

When one considers all of the above questions and factors, it's pretty clear that these social media influencers just wanted to cash in on the latest "free speech" craze, nothing more. It is really troubling, since this young man really need help, not enabling.

And the enabling turned into a very disgusting, criminal outcome.

Amos Yee was arrested last year for soliciting sex with a minor. He faced multiple counts, a high bail amount, and a very long prison sentence should he found guilty in a court of law.

Here's a complete run-down of the charges that he faced:

Yee was charged with child pornography and grooming after he allegedly exchanged nude photos and “thousands” of messages with a 14-year-old girl while living in Chicago back in 2019.

They met in February that year over the Riot chat app.

Not only did he send her nude photos, Yee also asked for nude photos of the girl over Whatsapp, and got them. He also persuaded the victim to appear on video and other mediums, which is why he was handed a charge of child pornography.

Child pornography, folks. This is not a joke. This is not funny. And he was sending out warning signs for at least two years during his stay in the United States. He actively and repeatedly endorsed sex with children. Does anyone find it surprising that he wanted to engage in such unseemly behaviors himself?

How could free speech advocates sit idly by and let him pontificate like he was some kind of free speech hero? He was a free speech miscreant, more or less, and had serious emotional, mental, and character issues, to say the least. He needed some real discipline, not people who allow him to dish on just about anything.

Earlier this year, he ultimately plead guilty to two charges of child pornography and grooming. He will serve six years in a federal penitentiary, then most likely be deported back to Singapore, where he will most likely face more jail time for reneging on his citizen-based duty to serve in Singapore's national service for two years full-time.

This is really tragic. When I learned about the final plea deal, I was sickened and outraged. All the adults in Singapore and the United States who were dancing around this guy, celebrating him and holding him up as a role model for full freedom of speech, were in reality hurting him and leading to harm against other people, too. Indeed, it's necessary and proper for citizens in their respective countries to fight for freedom of speech. I do believe that countries should take every step they can to ensure freedom of expression.

However, Amos Yee was the wrong vehicle for doing so. He was a troubled youth who needed help, and adults--who are supposed to be adults and put the needs of children first ahead of their own desires--used him to get views, likes, and to broaden their own appeal as "woke" activists for fighting repressive authority or pushing the limits of permissible expressions of speech.

I must say, I don't think I have ever felt so outraged, so angry about a situation as this one. There is so much wrong with what happened her: bad parents, selfish commentators, a corrupted media culture invested in shock and awe rather than truth and true advocacy--and in the midst of it, a troubled kid who became a troubling young adult who troubled other kids.

All of this was preventable. Shame on every adult who did not step up and push back on Amos Yee's perverted insolence. They could have saved his life, and at the very least ensured he had a life worth living. It's disgusting that adults, both in Amos Yee's home country and the United States, enabled and celebrated this creep for his "free speech" antics. All the while, he was an active advocate for pedophilia and other sexual perversions, along with other communistic ideologies. Where are all the anti-authoritarian free speech advocates now? They enabled this troubled young--now a troubling adult. This whole affair really outrages me. It's such a tragedy that a kid with such intellect could turn into a troubled adult with a criminal record, and no one stepped up to stop him when they had the chance.

Save California: "You Comply So It Will End, But It Won't End Because You Comply." Don't Comply with Government Tyranny

 

Hi Arthur, Have you considered how much to resist government tyranny? Over the past year-and-half of battling New Communists (Democrat politicians and bureaucrats and "Republican" prostitutes), I've resisted medical tyranny as much as possible, by never wearing a mask, by declaring all the exemptions I can, by not visiting mask-crazy doctors' offices, and by not using "public transportation." Because I know that if I were to comply with government tyranny, I would be: Going against Creator God: We all were created with the intellect and freedom to choose what is good and to reject what is bad. Creator God doesn't want anything bad going into our bodies, nor does he support any adult's body being forcibly injected with anything. And for true Christians, the body is a temple of the LORD. Plus, we all have God-given rights to be able to work, own, shop, travel, fellowship, and play without government unfairly limiting these fundamental rights to some people, but denying them to others. Reducing black slaves to non-person status, or redefining peaceful Jews as enemies of the Third Reich, are the same spirit as segregating people between "masked" and "unmasked," "vaccinated" and "unvaccinated." God wants us to have no part of this unscientific, dehumanizing apartheid. Going against the U.S. Constitution: Both the 5th and the 14th Amendments to the Constitution of the United States guarantee "liberty" (freedom from imprisonment or restrictions on movement) without "due process of law." Therefore, non-law "orders" from politicians or bureaucrats to "lock down," "mask up," and "show your vaccine verification" as a way to deny service are all unconstitutional. Faithful Americans will not comply with this tyranny. The 14th Amendment also guarantees certain "privileges and immunities," which American courts have long recognized as "the right of access to the seat of government," "the right of assembly," "the right to pass freely from state to state," "the right to purchase and hold real property." Yet all these constitutional guarantees have been trampled by government tyrants in 2020-2021. Going against reality: We're being told to live abnormally for a "variant" that is easily treatable, has a low death rate, and is expected to burn itself out about a month from now. Viruses are part of life, not a reason to shut down life. Given the low death rate of Covid and its variants, no "restrictions," or segregating of "masked" or not, or "vaccinated" or not, is merited. These tyrannical restrictions oppose reality, like someone refusing to eat or sleep. What does the reality of liberty look like? If you own or manage a small business, don't impose a useless mask mandate and don't participate with the tyrannical mask mandates of your Democrat-run city or county. Local government mandates are not very enforceable these days, and you should persevere for liberty. If you work in healthcare for a sole proprietor, don't comply with any masking or injections or tests. Again, there are not enough government enforcers to go around, and you can resist until this whipped-up "variant" scare is over. If you work in healthcare or for the State of California or live or work in a Democrat-controlled city mimicking the Newsom administration's jab-or-weekly-test policy, reject the shot and be tested instead. But demand a test more accurate than the invasive PCR test, which even the CDC has rejected as unreliable. If you're a college or university student, first try for a religious exemption. If that doesn't work, reject the shot and be tested instead (not with the no-good PCR test), or drop out and enroll in online college. If you would be masked or subjected to "vaccine verification" if you were to travel by bus, taxi, train, or plane, consider "taking the long way" by driving in your own car. Everyone, call and email your city councilmembers and your county supervisors. Tell them, "Don't you dare mandate vaccines or tests or masks on anyone. Don't trample our freedoms or our humanity. We all need to get back to normal -- now." If you're a college or university student or healthcare worker or state worker, get as many students, coworkers, or colleagues to join with you to sign a "We Will Not Comply" letter and hold a news conference based on science and medical freedom. If possible, join a lawsuit to fight this in court. If you're a California State University student, contact this attorney. If a student or private-sector employee, use this template from Advocates for Faith & Freedom to request a religious exemption. If you're an attorney, consider suing based on federal law requiring voluntary consent for emergency use authorization of medical products. Arthur, we all need to stop complying with government tyranny and medical tyranny. We must protect our God-given liberties, our constitutional rights, and our moral character. Non-compliance is also how we encourage others to be principled and courageous. Honest medical expert Dr. Harvey Risch says the Delta variant should decrease in "cases" (which is what the Left focuses on, when Risch knows all that matters are hospitalizations and deaths) in about a month. When that happens, the Medical Tyrants' house of cards will crumble. So keep liberty alive as long as you can!

AFA: How the Marxists Could Win America

 

Dear Arthur, Marxists hate America. They hate individual freedom because they believe the state should rule men and women like sheep. They hate our Constitution because it limits government power, when the socialist mindset is to aggregate power. They hate the Declaration of Independence because it recognizes and honors God in its history-shaking propositions – "that all men are created equal, and they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. …" That's why I regret to say that the Marxists are gaining ground in our nation and are closer than ever to overthrowing our constitutional republic. As they continue their march through the institutions of our nation, their latest tactic is to divide the American people into warring factions. Now more than ever, the wedge used to splinter us is race. That said, let me be perfectly clear: All true Christians abhor actual racism. To hate people because of their skin color, to persecute them, to deny them their rights as humans created in the image of God, to treat them unjustly before the Lord – these things have no place in a Christian's life. It might have been in a different context – showing favoritism to those who are rich while disdaining those who are poor – but James makes clear that such partiality makes us "judges with evil motives" (James 2:4). Yet, while many Americans are willing to open the door to an honest discussion about racism, something else has taken the opportunity to slither into the house. Beneath the surface, an evil, Marxist-based ideology is dominating the public discourse about race in America, and you need to be made aware. It’s called Critical Race Theory (CRT). CRT is so sinister that we asked our very own Meeke Addison to address this issue from a gospel-centric perspective. You see, Critical Race Theory does not see racism as confined to a few “bad apples” but is instead views racism as a product of whiteness itself. And increasingly, the leaders of CRT are seeking ways to teach those lies to our children and grandchildren. A Washington Post op-ed in support of CRT called the discussion over race a "reckoning" for the nation and then admitted that the debate "has reached thousands of U.S. schools." The op-ed applauded what is happening: "Schools across the country are working to address systemic racism and inject an anti-racist mindset into campus life." A teacher in a New York City school revealed that a faculty email chain "received enthusiastic support for recommending that we 'officially' flag students who appear 'resistant' to the 'culture we are trying to establish.'" The teacher said flagged students would include even those who suggested that "we treat everyone with respect." You see, treating everyone with respect does not go far enough; students must capitulate to the Marxist ideology in every attitude and detail. These ideas should be chilling to all freedom-loving Americans. The controversy has led legislatures in six states – Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas – to consider and/or already pass bills that would limit or even ban the teaching of Critical Race Theory in public schools. People are fed up with ideologies that disparage America as a systemically racist country, but folks are also confused about what CRT promotes and whether or not its ideas are biblical. That's why I want to encourage you to get a copy of A Biblical Response to Critical Race Theory. In this two-part video presentation, Meeke clarifies the origins and beliefs of CRT, the dangers of submitting to this ideology, and how Christians should respond to it. And by the way, CRT has even begun to find acceptance in some churches. Most importantly, however, Meeke demonstrates that Critical Race Theory is a threat to the gospel message because it is an unbiblical approach to solving the human problem of sin. In fact, she teaches that CRT is, in reality, "another gospel" (Galatians 1:6) offering a false salvation through guilt, anger, and revenge. So how do we respond? Christians must do what we've always done: Educate ourselves with the truth about the issue. Develop a biblical perspective. Counter its impact with gospel-centered strategies. This is what AFA has been doing for 44 years. Inform, equip, and activate is the heart of our mission statement, and it is the strategy that my dad, AFA founder Don Wildmon, used to build this ministry. It is the strategy that we continue to use today. That is why we are offering you this new DVD. AFA will never back away from the fight against every idea that raises itself up against the true knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5). By all means, each and every Christian should stand guard over his or her heart to ensure that we do not allow sins such as racism to grow like a deadly cancer. When this sin – or any other – is found, we should repent. As Christians, we must also be loving and patient in our struggle with the people who are deluded by their own sufferings into embracing bitterness, anger, and hatred. At the same time, we must not show mercy to poisonous ideologies, but instead we must endeavor to show our neighbors, our communities, and our nation the truth and proclaim to them the grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
