AFA: How the Marxists Could Win America

Dear Arthur,

Marxists hate America. They hate individual freedom because they believe the state should rule men and women like sheep.

They hate our Constitution because it limits government power, when the socialist mindset is to aggregate power.

They hate the Declaration of Independence because it recognizes and honors God in its history-shaking propositions – "that all men are created equal, and they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. …"

That's why I regret to say that the Marxists are gaining ground in our nation and are closer than ever to overthrowing our constitutional republic.

As they continue their march through the institutions of our nation, their latest tactic is to divide the American people into warring factions. Now more than ever, the wedge used to splinter us is race.

That said, let me be perfectly clear: All true Christians abhor actual racism.

To hate people because of their skin color, to persecute them, to deny them their rights as humans created in the image of God, to treat them unjustly before the Lord – these things have no place in a Christian's life.

It might have been in a different context – showing favoritism to those who are rich while disdaining those who are poor – but James makes clear that such partiality makes us "judges with evil motives" (James 2:4).

Yet, while many Americans are willing to open the door to an honest discussion about racism, something else has taken the opportunity to slither into the house.

Beneath the surface, an evil, Marxist-based ideology is dominating the public discourse about race in America, and you need to be made aware.

It’s called Critical Race Theory (CRT).

CRT is so sinister that we asked our very own Meeke Addison to address this issue from a gospel-centric perspective. Meeke is assistant director of special initiatives for AFA and co-host, with her husband Wil, of Airing the Addisons on American Family Radio.

In A Biblical Response to Critical Race Theory, Meeke offers an informed and passionate challenge to the Marxist perspective that has taken hold in many of the power centers of our culture.

In appreciation for your generosity to AFA, I want you to have a copy of A Biblical Response to Critical Race Theory.

In short, CRT promotes the idea that all societies are based on the interplay of oppressor and oppressed.

CRT teaches that America’s constitutional republic is built on slavery and oppression of minorities by white people.

When President Joe Biden used the phrase "systemic racism is a stain on our nation's soul," he was using the language of Critical Race Theory.

So it's no surprise that Max Eden, a research fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, uncovered the following outrageous ideas taught by advocates of CRT:

  • White people should be demonized for being born white.
  • All whites are inherently racist.
  • White Americans should stop acting with white privilege.

You see, Critical Race Theory does not see racism as confined to a few “bad apples” but is instead views racism as a product of whiteness itself. And increasingly, the leaders of CRT are seeking ways to teach those lies to our children and grandchildren.

A Washington Post op-ed in support of CRT called the discussion over race a "reckoning" for the nation and then admitted that the debate "has reached thousands of U.S. schools." The op-ed applauded what is happening: "Schools across the country are working to address systemic racism and inject an anti-racist mindset into campus life."

A teacher in a New York City school revealed that a faculty email chain "received enthusiastic support for recommending that we 'officially' flag students who appear 'resistant' to the 'culture we are trying to establish.'" The teacher said flagged students would include even those who suggested that "we treat everyone with respect." You see, treating everyone with respect does not go far enough; students must capitulate to the Marxist ideology in every attitude and detail.

These ideas should be chilling to all freedom-loving Americans.

The controversy has led legislatures in six states – Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas – to consider and/or already pass bills that would limit or even ban the teaching of Critical Race Theory in public schools.

People are fed up with ideologies that disparage America as a systemically racist country, but folks are also confused about what CRT promotes and whether or not its ideas are biblical.

That's why I want to encourage you to get a copy of A Biblical Response to Critical Race Theory. In this two-part video presentation, Meeke clarifies the origins and beliefs of CRT, the dangers of submitting to this ideology, and how Christians should respond to it. And by the way, CRT has even begun to find acceptance in some churches.

Most importantly, however, Meeke demonstrates that Critical Race Theory is a threat to the gospel message because it is an unbiblical approach to solving the human problem of sin. In fact, she teaches that CRT is, in reality, "another gospel" (Galatians 1:6) offering a false salvation through guilt, anger, and revenge.

So how do we respond? Christians must do what we've always done:

  • Educate ourselves with the truth about the issue.
  • Develop a biblical perspective.
  • Counter its impact with gospel-centered strategies.

This is what AFA has been doing for 44 years. Inform, equip, and activate is the heart of our mission statement, and it is the strategy that my dad, AFA founder Don Wildmon, used to build this ministry. It is the strategy that we continue to use today. That is why we are offering you this new DVD.

AFA will never back away from the fight against every idea that raises itself up against the true knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).

By all means, each and every Christian should stand guard over his or her heart to ensure that we do not allow sins such as racism to grow like a deadly cancer. When this sin – or any other – is found, we should repent.

As Christians, we must also be loving and patient in our struggle with the people who are deluded by their own sufferings into embracing bitterness, anger, and hatred. At the same time, we must not show mercy to poisonous ideologies, but instead we must endeavor to show our neighbors, our communities, and our nation the truth and proclaim to them the grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

In closing, let me say again that I thank God for your faithfulness in supporting and standing with AFA in this fight to preserve and strengthen the biblical foundations that have made America the greatest nation in history.

Sincerely,

Tim Wildmon, President
American Family Association

Why the Cowardice?

For the past two years, I have been not just an activist, but an organization director.

It has been my job to coalesce and organize people to fight back against LGBT perversion in all of its forms.

When it comes to activism, I am not just interested in fighting battles here and there. I want to start a cultural revolution, or better yet restoration, just like the American colonists on the eve of the American Revolution.

For the past two years, though, I have run into so many struggles. I have found it very difficult to motivate people to stick with fighting the specific LGBT issues that need to be confronted.

The best group that I worked with formed, besides a great team in Nebraska , was the MassResistance chapter in San Diego. People from all walks of life, working within different church groups, were ready to work together and take on Drag Queen Story Hour at the Chula Vista Main Library, for example. They continued railing against the city council long after the event had ended. But even then, the energy, the times, the demands of other responsibilities took over for so many people.

But forming the chapters was one thing. Ensuring that the chapters were self-sustaining and growing--that was the real goal, the real challenge, and ultimately a real problem.

I found that there were parents across the country who wanted to stand up to this LGBT nonsense in their schools, in their local communities.

However, when crunch time came, many of them would dissipate and walk away.

It was very frustrating.

I wanted to help form these armies, and I found that after finding a few faithful people, who were willing to be leaders in their states, I was getting really rundown.

I was getting tired. I did not look forward to doing the work. I was getting burned out.

More on the burnout issues later ...

For now, I am focusing on the bigger questions.

First, why are so many people just tripping over themselves to celebrate LGBT issues? Why are so many people determined to march in lock-stop with this Black Lives Matter insanity? In El Segundo, CA, for example, all of these parents were actually taking their children to Drag Queen Story Hour. They were proud to be letting their children get groomed by a pervert. What is the matter with these people?

Then you have rich liberals, from the early days of the Communist Revolution in Russia to the present day in Los Angeles, who trip over themselves to donate money and support these destructive, anti-Western, anti-Christian, anti-American causes. What is it with their self-loathing?

For some answers, without realizing that there were answers to receive, I found a video from Victor Davis Hanson. In this recording, he talked about the major criticisms against The West, against Western Culture.

The first critique shared by many is that there is inequality. If people are fundamentally the same, how come there are so many different outcomes for people? Why are some people poor, and some people rich? Why do certain groups and countries do better? This is wrong, to some people, and a major problem with Western Culture.

This criticism has become quite common among the radical progressive rioters who are destroying cities and doing great damage across the country. The Black Lives Matter hate group believes that they have a right to other people's territory. They have a right to steal from others, because "black people" worked for everything, and "white people" took everything. The inequity argument is striking.

But so many white people believe this nonsense. There are lots of wealthy homeowners in El Segundo, for example. They feel guilty about all the worth and well-being that they possess, and as a result they feel guilty. Instead of thinking deeply on the issues, like why are so many black people in jails, or why there are so many homicides in black communities, they just throw everything up to institutional racism, and then go around with signs and start demanding justice in any way possible.

Of course, they don't really want justice. They just want to prove to everyone that they are better than others. It's really another form of white supremacy, in that they think that black people are incompetent, and that they need extra help and propping up from "the white people" to do better. This self-loathing self-righteousness is destructive, fraudulent, and evil.

But the question remains: why do so many people feel guilty?

Then there are the people of all backgrounds who want to speak up, but they fear the reproach of others. They are so worried about being shamed, they fear that their reputations will be slandered online. They also fear losing their jobs, their homes, perhaps even their lives.

Tucker Carlson called out this cowardice among our political leaders. He was shocked, disgusted that Republican lawmakers in Washington, DC were refusing to take a firm stance against all the racialized hatred and revolutionary disorder. Carlson mocked our elected leaders for going along with the whole "I'm sorry! Please forgive me!" passivism.

But why is this happening?

Why are so many people so craven now? People are not standing up to cancel culture. They are not taking a stand for this country. It's almost as though they believe all the lies being told about the United States, that this country is inherently racist, and it's been essential unfair from the outset. What is going on here? Why the cowardice?
