"Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" Tells the Truth about American Indian-European Relations

This scene does not get enough credit or attention from American conservatives and patriots generally.

The "Stolen Land" argument has been done to death, and it's time to confront the truth about the American Indians and their successors' outrageous arguments about "their stolen land."

  • Col. Nelson Miles Sitting Bull requested this council. We await his words.

Sitting Bull Take your soldiers out of here. They scare the game away.

Col. Nelson Miles Very well, sir. Tell me, then: how far away should I take my men?

Sitting Bull You must take them out of our lands.

Col. Nelson Miles What precisely are your lands?

Sitting Bull These are the lands where my people lived before you whites first came.

Col. Nelson Miles I don't understand. We whites were not your first enemies. Why don't you demand back the land in Minnesota where the Chippewa and others forced you from years before?

Sitting Bull The Black Hills are a sacred land given to my people by Wakan Tanka.

Col. Nelson Miles How very convenient to cloak your claims in spiritualism. And what would you say to the Mormons and others who believe that their God has given to them Indian lands in the West?

Sitting Bull I would say they should listen to Wakan Tanka.

Col. Nelson Miles No matter what your legends say, you didn't sprout from the plains like the spring grasses. And you didn't coalesce out of the ether. You came out of the Minnesota woodlands armed to the teeth and set upon your fellow man. You massacred the Kiowa, the Omaha, the Ponca, the Oto and the Pawnee without mercy. And yet you claim the Black Hills as a private preserve bequeathed to you by the Great Spirit.

Sitting Bull And who gave us the guns and powder to kill our enemies? And who traded weapons to the Chippewa and others who drove us from our home?

Col. Nelson Miles Chief Sitting Bull, the proposition that you were a peaceable people before the appearance of the white man is the most fanciful legend of all. You were killing each other for hundreds of moons before the first white stepped foot on this continent. You conquered those tribes, lusting for their game and their lands, just as we have now conquered you for no less noble a cause.

Sitting Bull This is your story of my people!

Col. Nelson Miles This is the truth, not legend. Crazy Horse has surrendered... with his entire band. And by his surrender, he says to you and your people that you are defeated. And by ceding the Black Hills to us, so say Red Cloud and the other chiefs, who demand that you end this war and take your place on the reservation.

Sitting Bull Red Cloud is no longer a chief. He is a woman you have mounted and had your way with. Do not speak to me of Red Cloud!

Col. Nelson Miles I suppose *you* are the only chief then. Sitting Bull is king of all the Indians! Now, humility is one of the four virtues of the Sioux chief. Sitting Bull shows his true nature now.

Sitting Bull I have had my say with you.

Col. Nelson Miles And I have had my say with you.

Sitting Bull Then we will have a fight.

Col. Nelson Miles So be it.

Trump Derangement Syndrome on Full Display at Trump Star, Hollywood

The Trump Star was attacked (again) about two weeks ago.

The star has not been replaced, despite the best efforts of the city and anyone else involved who cares about doing what is right.

Today, I visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame with Anthony Garcia, a friend and fellow Trump supporter from Texas. His family are all Trump supporters, too.

The scene along Hollywood and Highland is much more peaceful than in the past, most likely because the damage and destruction wrought against the star is starting to turn off visitors, tourism, and the economy. Many people who visit the North Hollywood area are actually Trump supporters. Foreign visitors support the President and want a picture of the Trump Star.

Now they have to settle for a space fenced off with standing rail guards and a board to cover the large whole where the Trump star rested.

At least there was someone there to stand for the President and take photos with anyone who was interested. I was happy to join Mr. "Trump", and so were many others passing by.

Check out my friend Anthony and his brother Kevin, too:

President Trump had a stand-by who invited anyone passing by take a photo with him:

The larger police presence was immediatley noticeable, too. The Los Angeles Police Department is cracking down on abuses of all kinds.

This lady was sitting along the street disrupting the flow of foot traffic through the area:

Notice the police officers standing by and walking through the area. They make sure that no one starts anything. The area around the Hollywood Walk of Fame was getting violent and tumultuous. The last altercation over the weekend led to the arrest of a son who was protecting his father, yet his father was provoking fights with Trump supporters at the star.

Perhaps now more people can enjoy celebrating our President and standing around the star.

And what's resting there in place of the star at this time?

Aside from the guard rails protecting the square where the star is located, a border and for traffic cones are in the section.

The writings on the boards, however, show that Trump Derangement Syndrome has only metastasized.

Look at the hate scrawled on the plywood boards covering the hole:

This one says "Hang Trump"

Look at the other vulgarities on the board, too:

This threat is particularly disturbing:

"Lynch Trump"? Really?

The liberals, the progressive left, the Democratic Party are the truly racist, violent, and despicable people in this country right now.

What is the matter with these people? The President has overseen more liberty, the expansion of jobs, economic growth, and opportunity. He has helped ensure greater peace across the world without putting American troops in greater harm's way.

The country is enjoying unprecedented energy dependence.

The regulatory rollback has allowed businesses to open and expand. The unemployment rate for black and Hispanic Americans is at its lowest on record.

And yet, the regressive Left attacks the President with such savage hatred:

These calls for Trump's death are criminal actions which should be taken seriously.

They are calls for violence, and they cannot be tolerated.

In the mean time, patriots like Anthony and me will continue to celebrate our President and support him in every way possible.

Victory in Tehachapi! Council Unanimously Opposes SB 54, Files Amicus Brief

At first, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to go to Tehachapi, CA.

The city is more than two hours away--without traffic--in Kern County.

Besides, the city is one of the reddest in California, right? There's no way that they city would not take a stand against SB 54, would they?

Then again, I had thought that the City of Camarillo would take a stance and oppose SB 54 as a law after they had sent out a letter opposing SB 54 as a bill. We all know how that turned out, don't we?

At any rate, I had finished rallying for Tommy Robinson outside of the British Consulate in Century City, and the drive to Kern County wouldn't be terrible leaving post noon.

Off I went. A few hours later, Megan, a friend of mine from LA County who is also fighting hard against SB 54, joined me.

Tehachapi is a beautiful little city, very rural, but with a thriving business section along the outskirts of the city. Many of the restaurants close earlier than expected, considering that the region is a sleepier area, but otherwise the weather and the people were kind and inviting.

After taking a few hours to write up a report about the successful Tommy Robinson campaign (and to prepare for Election 2018 primaries!), Megan and I went to the Tehachapi police station, where they were hosting the city council meeting. The original city council chambers is too small for the large groups that were heading over to the city council hearing.

As I walked up to the meeting, some of the residents recognized from the YouTube videos that I have recorded. One guy remembered me from Berkeley, when I was chased down the street, robbed, and assaulted for my beliefs.

I was shocked! I didn't realize that residents and viewers remembered those videos! I felt so at home that day!

And it was a sizeable crowd which attended:

The love of country, the strong sentiment for the rule of law was palpable in the room. While taking the photos, I said that we need to put veterans first, put Americans first, not illegal aliens. Just as I had mentioned in Siskiyou County last month, I suggested that we have a sanctuary for gun owners, and that cities should be sanctuaries for citizens. People cheered in agreement then started waving their flags.

I have never felt so at home in a city council meeting, either. The residents in the city and from surrounding neighborhoods showed up in strong numbers to voice their opposition to sanctuary policies and to push for the rule of law and the restoration of American sovereignty.

What a great day it was, seeing so many American flags waving in the room. One lady was handing out small American flags. Another guy wore an incredible shirt with a biker, an eagle, and the Stars and Stripes soaring behind.

The room turned into standing-room only rather quickly, but Megan saved me a seat right in the front row. The local press took pictures of me and others, including my "Make America Great Again" flag banner:

At the last city council meeting, the members took no action on SB 54 by a 2-2 vote. Why the hesitation? Two of the city councilmembers wanted more information on what steps the city can take against SB 54, and they wanted to know what the costs entailed for the city to do anything.

The residents lined up along the walls as well as in the chairs to make sure that their elected officials did the right thing to oppose SB 54.

Not one person attended the meeting to support SB 54. Everyone stood in opposition to this perverse law.

Here's the full video I recorded of the city council meeting:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaET4qiFudM

During public comment on the two agenda items regarding SB 54, #11 and #12, a number of speakers outlined some very telling reasons, both personal as well as political, for their opposition and their demand for full pressure to stop SB 54.

Then I met this Angel Mom:

Joanna with her son, now deceased
murdered by an illegal alien
Her son was murdered--yes, murdered--by an illegal drunk driver who had been arrested and deported several times before. She and her husband addressed the council first, invited by Councilman Ken Hetge to tell her story.

Such a poignant moment, and quite telling that the city council went to every length possible to recognize those families who have lost loved ones to illegal aliens. Councilman Hetge brought forward the resolution to oppose SB 54 and file an amicus brief. He explained at the outset that the council works for the people, not the other way around. Anyone watching should have clearly seen that the city doesn't want any kind of sanctuary policy in Tehachapi, Kern County, or anywhere in the state of California.

Another lady shared that she had actually moved from Texas to California! I was surprised, since the movement is usually out of California to Texas, and most people run fast. She shared the pain of losing one of her two children to an illegal alien drunk driver, too. Just terrible.

The only slightly negative voice in the room told everyone that if they wanted to make a difference, they needed to vote. I could not agree more. The only problem followed when he said that it did not matter whom Californians voted for.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Nothing.

Another woman shared that she had done everything correctly to enter the United States and become a legal resident. She was not even a citizen yet, and therefore she could not vote, but she pleaded with everyone to consider the efforts of all those who follow the right paths to become legal residents in the country. When she finished, she told me that she came from Canada. I mentioned in passing that this country has illegal aliens from Ireland, too, and they need to be deported.

One man announced his push for increased transparency from the city council, and he sounded off against the city attorney, whom he felt was biased toward doing nothing. I am glad that someone was ready to call out the city attorney in Tehachapi, because when he had shared what SB 54 did and did not do, including the failed argument that SB 54 exempts a number of felonies to be reported to ICE. The fact is that many felonies get reduced to misdemeanors because of Props 47 and 57, thus shielding violent multiple illegal alien felons from deportation. The city attorney took offense, arguing that he wasn't trying to sway the city council one way or another. However, he did use the word "undocumented" to describe illegal aliens. That is not acceptable.

Another woman talked about identity theft, how she discovered through the mail that her son had signed up for food stamps. One problem: her ten-year old died in 2002. Unbelievable! The illegal alien who had stolen her sons ID was caught, but received hardly any consequence. This abuse of justice has become all too common.

One guy talked about the importance of having California jobs stay in California. Illegal aliens in Tehachapi were taking jobs away from working Americans, undercutting the wages in all sorts of industries, especially construction jobs. He even remarked that when ICE showed up one day, forty contracts fled a project at the local high school!

The guy wearing the incredible shirt blazing with biker patriotism asked a simple question: What does the chief of police think about SB 54? I worried about his response. In cities throughout Southern California, police chiefs shy away from taking a clear stance on this issue. Oftentimes, they simply remark that SB 54 does not effect the local and street police efforts to keep the communities safe.

That is not true, and sadly many police chiefs do not take a stance since they are political appointees. County Sheriffs are more likely to speak out against SB 54 since they are elected directly by the people and the pressure to maintain safety is incredible. The chief declared very directly his opposition to SB 54, and I was relieved. There are now two police chiefs on record opposing SB 54 and pointing out how the legislation has hindered their law enforcement efforts. In future city councils, participants should speak the truth about the politicization

I wanted to speak, but the Mayor Pro Tem told me to let others speak first, since I had spoken twice before. Nothing in the agenda stated that speaking times were limited to a certain number of minutes or only one time to speak to the city council. At first I relented, since other people in the meeting weren't all running up to speak out. I imagine that for many of the people there, that was their first time in the city council chambers.

Finally, I pressed my turn. "I drove two hours to be here," I said to the Mayor Pro-Tem.

At the podium, I covered the constitutional aspects of SB 54, and then I shared that there are other Angel Moms (and Dads!) who have lost their children to illegal aliens. It's time to put Americans First, and it's time for local and state officials to stand up to Sacramento's lawlessness and Make California Great Again. A rousing applause followed after I spoke.

The city council then returned to consider their item going forward. The argument from Councilman Hetge was spot on, as he reiterated that cost should not be the final issue regarding whether the city council takes action or not against SB 54. The city attorney did acknowledge the cost, but the councilman countered with a simple calculation: "I think that every resident here would contribute the $3.50 to help pay for this." In larger cities like Torrance or even entire counties, I am certain that law-abiding residents who love their country and desire public safety would happily toss in the ten or twenty cents to pay for any legal action.

At the end of the discussion and the vote, the city council unanimously approved their resolution against SB 54 and directed the city attorney to file an amicus brief.

It was a stunning victory, but not just because this patriotic city took a stand against SB 54: that was predictable. What stood out for me was that so many showed up in the city council chambers, and many people came and thanked me for coming to the city council meeting. One speaker told the rest of the public that this movement has to continue into other cities, since Tehachapi elected officials can only rule on those local issues.

It was really important for me to be there also because the city attorney's preliminary remarks were incomplete. I went to greater pains to recognize his efforts without shaming him, but I also told him that other cities and counties had filed amicus briefs which would be discharged at another team since the deadline for the federal district court hearing had passed. There will be an appellate hearing since both sides have invested so much in this case, especially the American people and the Department of Justice against California's sanctaury state lawlessness.

After the two agenda items, the city council recessed for ten minutes. A number of people came up to me and thanked me for being there. They know what LA County for Trump has been doing, going all over the state to stop SB 54 and get more cities on board. I met two people from Torrance, too! The last person I talked to is a contractor, and he had shared with me how illegal immigration was gutting his industry terribly. The cheap illegal labor does not play by the rules or the pay the same taxes, fees, and regulations which law-abiding businesses pay. That's not fair!

Another lady, a professor from West LA College and a UCLA grad attended the meeting too, but she sided with us against SB 54! That was AWESOME!

VICTORY IN TEHACHAPI!!

American Justice, NFL Style

I could not make this up, even if I had world enough and time.

The Left has gone crazy going after our past and present American heritage.

Now they are getting a taste of their own medicine.

The Baltimore Ravens think it's OK to take a knee during the national anthem?

Well, the NFL fans are taking a knee to their season tickets and now they want to ...

How do you like it, you rich, whiny liberal snowflakes?!

Professional Sports Take a Knee and Take a Dive

Last week, I was getting my car tuned for a long road trip.

The car shop owner told his buddies how fed up he was with the politicking that has taken over the NFL. "I just want to watch the game. I don't want to hear the politics. I want to see them play."

Exactly, and that's about as political as most Americans want to get.

They would like to see the government machinations and identity politics put out of their faces. They would like to see the state do its basic job: protect our rights and secure our persons.

Yet for the past 8 years under Barack Obama, everything was politicized. Marriage, life, the role of the government, the basic services of the military--Obama forced his perverse, anti-American agenda onto this country.

Thank God for Trump, and thank God for him calling out the hateful rhetoric of the professional sports leagues.

Now that their guy Obama is out of office, and now that they see that the Democratic Party has no real chance of regaining political power in Congress for the foreseeable future, they have resorted to their anti-Trump, anti-American temper tantrums in the public square and in every major facet of American culture.

They are losing. Do they not realize that politics may be a zero-sum game, but in the private sector, including the entertainment industries, we have even more power as individual consumers? We don't have to watch sports programs, LeBron James and Stephen Curry! If you want to dishonor our President, fine, but we do not have to wait for the next election cycle to let you know how we feel. We can just turn the television off and watch your franchise go down the tubes.

The NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell is fighting back against President Trump, claiming that the President has no right to comment on what the players do--or refuse to do--during the national anthem. Actually, the President has every right to signal his displeasure with the disrespectful professional athletes who have overstayed their welcome in the country's national political discourse. Just because they are celebrities does not mean that we need to hear what they think on contentious issues of the day. In many cases, they have too little insight or information to share. They have confused their past honored popularity with cultural authority. They have none. In fact, when President Trump signals that the football players should be fired, he is voicing the frustration that many have toward these professional elitist entertainers. His outrage goes after Hollywood and Academia, too, not just professional sports.

While Colin Kaepernick wants to take a knee because of the supposed injustices of the criminal justice system--as if he would event know--President Trump and the vast majority of Americans, even those men and women in otherwise overwhelmingly Democratic states, are taking a knee to these elitist groups and taking their business elsewhere.

Of course, President Trump's visible opposition to this disrespect has only lead to major sports franchises doubling down on their disrespect to the American flag. The entire Pittsburgh Steelers team has refused to leave the locker room, so that no one stands or kneels during the National Anthem.

Baseball players are now following in the dissimulation.

Keep it up, liberal academics, professional athletes, and celebrities. The more that you rage against the President, dishonor our flag, and disregard this country, the more irrelevant you make yourselves, and the more that we will win the fight to Make America Great Again!

7/27/17 Los Angeles, CA
Preliminary Report by Robin Hvidston - Full Report To Follow

CONTROVERSY!
One Commissioner Says NO To The Pledge of Allegiance On The Agenda

SEE THE VIDEO BELOW
Last month, at the LA County Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission meeting, Raul Rodriguez requested that the meeting begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. Chair Robert Bonner said no. Not to be deterred, Raul Rodriguez led the  audience in saying the Pledge of Allegiance during his public comment segment.

Because of citizen action, for the first time, at the July 7/27/17 LA County Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission agenda, the Pledge of Allegiance was officially listed as the #2 item.

Commissioner Rabbi Heather Miller Said NO To The Pledge of Allegiance Being On The Agenda

However, at the beginning of the meeting, one of the commissioners, Rabbi Heather Miller, formally objected to saying the Pledge of Allegiance. She said that because the Pledge of Allegiance references God, it is a violation of church and state. Then she listed the various Los Angeles Commissions that do not say the Pledge of Allegiance. Following her objections, Chair Robert Bonner said that the commission could debate the issue of the Pledge of Allegiance on the agenda, at the next meeting. The topic of the Pledge of Allegiance will be on the August agenda and that meeting will be at 9:30am on 8/24/17.

Then Chair Robert Bonner called upon Commissioner Harris to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

Because the commission had discussed the topic of the Pledge of Allegiance, the public was eligible to speak out on the issue. Six Trump Supporters spoke out in support of the Pledge of Allegiance on the official agenda at each meeting and two leftists spoke out in opposition to the Pledge of Allegiance being listed on the official agenda.

To Our Armed Forces: Thank You For Your Service

Former UN Ambassador John Bolton did not mince words. A Marylander with directness unrivaled (except perhaps by Donald Trump), the national security spokesman blasted President Barack Obama’s latest international visit to Japan as “The Final Leg of His Apology Tour.”

Under the current Occupant in the White House (who is leaving in six months!), the morale in the United States military has fallen drastically. Obama’s left-wing programs of radically equality, especially in the face of evil, has turned the United States armed forces into a failed social experiment. Disorderly conduct has become the norm, with bureaucrats intent on identity politics rather than protecting the character of this country. Radical ideologies push women into the draft. Women have—and are welcome to—serve in many capacities. Have we forgotten the incredible efforts of military wives and girlfriends during World War II? How about the women who have waited and worked for their men who are standing guard for our liberties, and the world’s security?
Then again, what can one expect from a president who wanted to transform this country? How could he offer an honor when he insisted on not seeing any?

I agree with Mr. Bolton, and Barack Obama should have praised the efforts of the American military, including the difficult yet necessary decision to drop two atomic bombs on Hiroshima then Nagasaki. The argument is simple. If the United States did not engage in a final, terminal action, then Allied forces would have had to invade Japan. President Truman’s decision ensured the preservation of millions of lives, putting to an end a destructive, evil totalitarian ideology eating away at the ends of the earth.

Let us never forget to thank the armed forces—then and now—which fought that we may fight, which died that we may live. Without the brave men and women who defended our country in wars here and abroad, the right to self-preservation and self-determination would have fallen away under the crushed pillars of former republics given way to determined despotism.

The American identity, this great country, was founded on armed forces armed for liberty.
The farmers who stood on the fields of Lexington and Concord in 1775, they first took up arms against the Imperial tyranny of the British Army. Their firm example in the face of more equipped and better organized marksmen (and mercenaries) should remind us that no matter how fearful the struggles we face today (rogue Presidents, arrogant local leaders, bureaucracies run wild with no regard for the rule of law, the bigotry of #BlackLivesMatter and other insipid social injustice warriors) we have no right to cower or cave in.

Even today, as I was driving to an event for a Congressional candidate in the Inland Empire (exercising my right to petition for a redress of grievances), I noticed colorful, wonderful, meaningful banners on street lights from intersection to intersection. The profiles of men and women in uniform decorate our fine cities throughout Southern California.

These signs, these banners inform not just the residents of these communities, but all passers-by, that our neighbors, peaceful inhabitants then and now took up arms to fight for our country. From World War II (and also conflicts before)

We have a home today, we are secure in our daily lives, because of the sacrifices taken for us by American military, who took up arms to defend our rights, regardless of the menace which confronted them.

Torrance, CA also initiated this inspiring memorial program a few years ago. The more streets I drive down, the more home-town heroes I learn about. Louis Zamperini is one of many veterans featured in our city: the World War II hero who broke track records at Torrance High School, survived enemy fire (and torture) to return home, receive a spiritual awakening, and inspire millions more.
Geoff Rizzo, one of my city councilmembers, shared with me then everyone else why he wanted to run for city council. He was not just giving back to his community. He was giving back to his father, who tragically passed away when Geoff was only nineteen years old. Thank you for your service, Frank Anthony Rizzo.

My father fought in Vietnam (I called him this weekend to thank him for his service). His father fought in World War II. Before the attack on Pearl Harbor, American forces were aiding the mainland Chinese against the totalitarian Japanese military. Grandpa Arthur Caldwell Schaper was there helping the Chinese.

Before I hung up, my Dad told me: “Thank you for your service, too, to this country.” My small service would not be possible with the greater service of our armed men and women, those who survived to encourage us today, as well as those who died on the battle field.

For my final words, I will let the better phrase of our greatest President speak to all who have known someone who died in combat for our country:

Executive Mansion,
Washington, Nov. 21, 1864.

Dear Madam,--

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
A. Lincoln
Have a wonderful and restful Memorial Day. There is still so much good to remember, and let us hope that we can attempt, if not measure up, to the efforts of our nation’s Greatest Generations.
