Don't Drink Al's Kool-Aid: Hadley Fights for Clean Water for All Residents

And I thought that the Muratsuchi campaign could not get any worse.

They have called Hadley a money launderer.

They dispicably claimed that he should be in a jail cell.

Why not call him a pervert who enables child molesters ...

Oh wait, that line of attack will not work, precisely because Al Muratsuchi did that when he was in the state assembly.

He wanted to make it harder to get rid of pervert teachers, limit the number of witnesses and the length of testimonies, and make it harder to revise charges against suspect teachers.

Al Muratsuchi is a terrible candidate.

He has no integrity, and little apetite for actually talking to people.

What can a legislator do if he has no interest in doing what is in the best, in the public interest?

So, let's take a look at one of Crooked Al's latest mailers:

This is just plain pathetic.

Most of the time when David had been in the news, on TV--it has involved the water situation in Gardena.

Check out these videos below:

One Gardena residents informed me that every time a water meeting takes place, Hadley attends.

Now the argument rests on Hadley voting against cleaner water?

REALLY?

This is just perverse.

If anyone is dirty, it's Al Murastuchi, who is getting Big Money from Big Oil:

Bobko Sets Record Straight: Muratsuchi Did Nothing for Hermosa Beach

Patrick "Kit" Bobko, former mayor of Hermosa Beach, worked with his colleague Michael DiVirgilio to ensure pension reform.

They also teamed up to protect Hermosa Beach from a bankruptcy inducing settlement in court following the city's decision to ban oil drilling in the city.

And yet ... in spite of all their work, Al Muratsuchi and his dwindling number of supporters claim that the fired former assemblyman did much of the work to stop drilling and save the city.

Kit Bobko

Here are Bobko's words on what really happened.

Where was Muratsuchi?

Dear ER:

George Orwell wrote “He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.” I was recently reminded of this quote when I got a piece of campaign mail from former Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi and Hermosa Beach City Council member Stacey Armato suggesting that Muratsuchi’s opponent, Assemblymember David Hadley, was a responsible for the prospect of oil drilling in Hermosa Beach.

Now this is the stupidest lie yet. Who would even begin to believe such nonsense?

This assertion is 100 percent false. Muratsuchi, not Hadley, was a member of the state’s legislative majority when our city was facing the prospect of an adverse judgment at trial and inevitable bankruptcy (and possible city-hood disincorporation?). Muratsuchi, not Hadley, was our representative in Sacramento when the trial against Macpherson and its $750 million damages claim was coming to a head in March 2012.

That's right. How quickly Democrats forget!

One would think the financial extinguishment of a constituent city would be enough to move an elected official to action, particularly when the injury would come at the hands of (gasp) an oil company. But it wasn’t. Muratsuchi didn’t sponsor any last-minute bills to protect Hermosa Beach. He didn’t do anything at all. If he was so gravely concerned about oil drilling in Hermosa Beach, this would have been the time to help. I know this because I was on City Council and we asked. Muratsuchi left Hermosa Beach to fend for itself.

Stacey Armato

I will ualify this comment. Muratsuchi floated an emergency loan to cover the $17.5 million settlement, but rescinded within weeks. It was a PR stunt. Nothing more. On principle, why should the entire state pay for the settlement of one city, especially one with such a high retail index and some of the wealthiest residents in the state?

Miraculously, the City Council was able to settle the case, and in 2015 Hermosa’s voters decided to pay off the $17.5 million settlement instead of allowing oil drilling in our community.

Which brings us to the present, and Muratsuchi and Armato’s mail piece, which would have you believe David Hadley is the real life incarnation of Daniel Day Lewis’ character from “There Will Be Blood.” Hadley had nothing to do with the Macpherson settlement or the oil vote in 2015. The truth is Hadley had as much influence over oil drilling in Hermosa Beach as my mailman. Maybe less.

Exactly!

Understandably, it is politically expedient for Armato and Muratsuchi to revise the history of the oil issue, now comfortably (and rightly) in our city’s past, and claim credit for a victory neither had any hand in winning. But it’s unfair and untruthful to accuse Hadley of something he didn’t do. Don’t be fooled by their mail. And don’t let the people who are in control of the present rewrite the past to control our future.

Kit Bobko

Final Reflection

Stacey Armato and Al Muratsuchi are engaging in some slimy politics.

Should anyone be surprised?

We don't call him "Oil Muratsuchi" for nothing!

Dirty Money "Oil" Muratsuchi: Monery Launderer

Al Muratsuchi has taken desperation to an entirely new level.

He has routinely lied about Republicans in the past.

Now he's claiming that the Republican incumbent in the 66th Assembly District, David Hadley, is a criminal launderer part of a vast right-wing conspiracy in the state of California.

The latest attack adds in the mail have insinuated that he has skirted money laundering laws.

The truth has been rolled out many times over the previous two years.

The archane campaign laws seemed to indicate that the central committee could work with other funding groups to raise money for an election bid. The attorneys which the Central Committee worked with suggested as much.

Then the Fair Political Practices Commission cried foul. The Hadley campaign had to return $36,000 out of $40,000 earned.

Hadley decided to run all the money.

This is in sharp contrast to Crooked Aunt Janice, who has pocketed more than $200,000 beyond campaign limits in Los Angeles County.

And speaking of money laundering ...

Al Muratsuchi claims that he is receiving big money from other Democratic Central Committees in the state of California.

But where are they getting their money?

From .. BIG OIL!!

$1.2 million is going into Muratsuchi's coffers from Big Oil, even though he claims that he is pro-green and is taking nothing from special interests like the oil companies.

Does "Oil" Muratsuchi really think that he can full the voters of  the South Bay a second time?

This guy is greasy and grimy.

Instead of cleaning up his own act, he launders money!

Just say no to dirty "Oil" Muratsuchi!

Vote for David Hadley for State Assembly!

"Oil" Muratsuchi: Not Pro-Green, but Sold Out to the Oil Companies

Al Muratsuchi claims to be pro-environment.

He even touts his latest endorsement from the Sierra Club, with the claim that he is 100% Pro-Green.

And yet ...

He floated on $500,000 worth of Big Oil money in 2014.

Hadley exposed Muratsuchi's dirty money in a debate  at the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club:

The Hadley campaign reported that Muratsuchi is getting major funding from the oil industry, $500,000 strong. Startled surprise erupted briefly in the room. Icky-sticky. "The oil companies are serving as a lifeline for Muratsuchi's campaign," Hadley declared.

He doesn't want fracking in the state of California.

But he doesn't give a frack about taking Big Oil money.

Of course, the public at large is not going to see Big Oil, or ExxonMobil listed on his campaign finance records.

He is getting a lot of money from different Democratic county parties, though.

He got $35,000 from the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, for example.

He got another $80,000 from a Democratic County Party in the Bay Area. The Democrats in Alameda and San Francisco Counties do not need to invest in their own races.

They are doling out the cash to other districts, and Assembly District 66 is the #1 Target--Again.

Check out this flyer which Muratsuchi mailed to Democratic households:

Everything that he lists in his "plan for the refinery" has already been done by a Republican Councilman on the Torrance City Council--Milton Herring--or a Republican Assemblyman:

If we want to see a more accurate flyer about Al Muratuschi and his environmental record, see below:

And if we really want to know where his allegiances lie, check out this picture:

He sold out to the homosexual lobby.

He sold out to Big Labor.

Al would sell his own mother to win a seat in the state assembly.

The South Bay can do better--and is already doing better.

David Hadley is pro-green, pro-growth, and pro-South Bay!
