Obamacare for CA Illegal Aliens? Hell No! (Vote NO on SB 10)

California State Senator Ricardo Lara (D-Huntington Park) is a disgrace to the state legislature.

He is a disgrace to the human race, as well.

Many of the bills he submits to the legislature are designed to erode the blessed distinctions between citizen and illegal alien.

Citizenship is a prized status, one which no one should diminish or remove.

Yet Lara insists on taking money from taxpayers and subsidizing illegal aliens.

Here is the legislative summary:

SB 10, as amended, Lara. Health care coverage: immigration status.

Existing law, the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), requires each state to establish an American Health Benefit Exchange that facilitates the purchase of qualified health plans by qualified individuals and qualified small employers, and meets certain other requirements. PPACA specifies that an individual who is not a citizen or national of the United States or an alien lawfully present in the United States shall not be treated as a qualified individual and may not be covered under a qualified health plan offered through an exchange. Existing law creates the California Health Benefit Exchange (the Exchange) for the purpose of facilitating the enrollment of qualified individuals and qualified small employers in qualified health plans as required under PPACA.

Notice the numbers of times the above passage repeats "qualified". The problem is that the health insurance is not quality for many patients (if any), since more doctors are refusing to accept those payments. Clients have also complained about the rising costs and the premiums which follow.

Thanks, Obamacare!

What's the point in forcing people to purchase health insurance, when the policies are not accepted, and end up costing far more? Whatever happened to "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor?"

This bill would require the Secretary of California Health and Human Services to apply to the United States Department of Health and Human Services for a waiver to allow individuals who are not eligible to obtain health coverage through the Exchange because of their immigration status to obtain coverage from the Exchange. The bill would require, after that waiver has been granted, the Exchange to offer California qualified health benefit plans, as specified, to these individuals. The bill would require that individuals eligible to purchase California qualified health plans pay the cost of coverage without federal assistance.

The state legislature is begging the federal government for a waiver to allow illegal aliens to get access to California's state healthcare exchange.

Let's also be honest. These illegals are going to get federal subsidies. Bet on it. Who can forget Congressman Joe Wilson calling out one of Obama's many lies during his 2010 State of the Union Address?

Has anyone been reading the papers lately? Obamacare is going straight to hell. The premiums are skyrocketing, year after year. State exchanges have closed up all over the country. Private insurance carriers are jumping out and letting the who corrupt system collapse.

Working families find that they have to forgo their private plans and put up with the nightmare of Covered California, now uncovered to be dismal and dysfunctional.

And the greatest insult: Why are we subsidizing the presence of illegal aliens in the state of California?

Illegal aliens need to be deported, not subsidized.

This is outrageous.

So, what can we do?

Good news has emerged. In order for the legislation to pass SB 10, two-thirds of both chambers must approve the bill.

If the Republicans show some courage and vote against this financial and moral atrocity, then Lara and his Hispandering cohorts will lose another opportunity to erode citizenship.

Contacts within Sacramento have informed me, however, that the Republican caucus will not hold strong against this bill. One Sacramento staffer informed We the People Rising that even if all the Republicans voted against the bill, it will still pass ...

That is not true. Republicans elected to the state legislature took up more than 1/3 of the seats. They stopped the supermajority, and all the taxes during the 2015 legislative session.

Now, which Republicans need the extra attention, to ensure that they vote the right way, and stop this terrible, insane piece of legislation?

We the People Rising have been more active in Orange County, reminding city councils and all other elected officials to respect the rule of law and cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

Another Democrat in the San Bernardino area needs to stop this illegal immigration insanity: Cheryl Brown.

Vidak has voted on the wrong side of immigration bills a few times. This must cease. The last thing the state of California needs is more illegal immigration. No more pandering!

And finally, the former senate minority leader, Bob Huff.

He has disappointed conservatives on a number of votes. He has voted for gun control, and continued along with a number of members in the legislature to expand privileges to illegal aliens.

Does this guy want any change at becoming the successor to Mike Antonovich on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors? He needs to vote NO! on SB 10!

Final Reflection:

Obamacare should never have passed in the first place.

The last thing that any state should do is expand access to the state exchanges for ILLEGAL ALIENS!

Call the above legislators, and let them know:

California Republicans, Stand Together:
VOTE "NO" ON SB 10!
