Florida Will Strip Disney of "Special District" Status

Now this is how you do it.

Gov. DeSantis is kicking butt, and not holding back.

Woke Disney puts their perverse profits ahead of the needs of children. They think that it is OK to target kids with homosexual and transgender grooming, all with the purpose of violating them when they are young to bring them into sexual degeneracy when they are older.

State Rep. Anthony Sabatini shares this announcement by email:

Arthur,

Gov. Ron DeSantis JUST amended our special legislative session to include "legislation relating to independent special districts."

Translation: We are about to DROP THE HAMMER on Woke Disney.

Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida legislature passed a bill that protects our children from the radical left's hypersexualized curriculum... and I'll be damned if we let a woke California corporation like Woke Disney come into our state and dictate policy...

Sign the petition below to STOP Disney's woke radical agenda and support removing their special privileges here in Florida.

While Disney has gone silent in the past week regarding the Parental Rights in Education bill, their threat to do "everything in their power" to overturn legislation that protects parents and children in Florida suggests to me that Disney has too much power...

The legislature should move to remove Woke Disney's special privileges IMMEDIATELY.

Click here to sign the petition to STOP Disney's radical woke agenda and show your support for our fight to protect parental rights in Florida >>>

Here in Florida, we will do anything to protect our children from radical groomers, obscene materials, and woke leftists who want to corrupt the next generation of Americans.

Disney went barking up the wrong tree, and they are positioned to lose EVERYTHING because of it. Sign my petition today and thank Gov. Ron DeSantis for standing up against the woke mob for a brighter future for our children.

Thank you,

Anthony Sabatini

This is the kind of reform that needs to start happening in state and federal government. It's time for the power of the people to stop giving special perks, gimmicks, and privileges to big business at the expense of the natural rights of all citizens.

Big Business cannot bully the citizenry. They have no right to rely on special privileges from any government to do wrong to othters. It's time to strip them of these privileges.

And while we are talking about ending Disney World's special district status, Congress needs to reject copyright renewal for Disney merchandise, products, and content. They need to play by the same rules as every other content creator in the country!

Militant Lesbian Marti Little of Citrus County, Florida: "I Am One of Those Disney Perverts"

MassResistance has a new chapter in the state of Florida, and they are already doing great things.

Click this link for more information.

But there is one person from the Left who has been harassing and demeaning our Florida MassResistance activists:

Marti Little:

Marti Little, lesbian
pushing perversion on children

Check out the remarks from this lesbian activist in Citrus County, Florida:

First of all, she is actually defending disgusting LGBT books being pushed on children.

Why would any person have such self-loathing or public-disdain to do something so vile?

She literally declared "I am one of those Disney perverts."

She was actually proud of it. PROUD OF IT!

What kind of sick person would shame parents, grandparents, citizens for speaking up for what is right?

Homosexual activists are outspoken about their perversion. They are proud of what they should be ashamed of.

They really think it's OK for them to flaunt their sexual brokenness and push it in everyone's faces.

And, as expected, they play victim when common-sense people object to the promotion of sexual degeneracy in the public square, including on children.

Homosexual activists know no shame. They have no desire to refrain or restrain unnatural desire, but instead they will insist that everyone should celebrate their shameful behaviors, then pay the price if they refuse to do so.

It's time for people to realize that making nice with the LGBT Agenda and its militants is the wrong approach. This perverse madness must be excluded from the public square at all costs. No one should tolerate such perversion in public, and there is nothing wrong with sanctioning the behavior in private.

One other point to share: notice how this corrupted woman calls people "hateful" for speaking the truth against LGBT behaviors. The truth is that such behaviors in and of themselves are hateful.

The truth is that people who abuse their bodies with the same sex are full of self-loathing, and they project this hatred onto others. They know that they are doing wrong to their own bodies, yet they do not know how to overcome, how to refrain from those damaging behaviors.

Worse yet, the media, big business, and the government tell these confused individuals that they are
"born that way," and therefore they are perennial victims. This victim-fueled, victim-filled entitlement is a dangerous mix and it is harming children, adults, and the general public.

It is time to stand for truth. It is time to relegate these perverts back to the closet where they come from. They have no right whatsoever to push their perversion, to target, to groom children. They have no right to throw fits and shame others. They have no right to steal money from the public purse to normalize their sexual perversion.

Enough is enough. It's time for MassResistance, and hateful bigots like Marty Little of Citrus County, Florida are one of many reasons why. People like Marti have no business pushing their rampant disgust and disregard for public health and public good.

This Resurrection Day, We Reclaim the Rainbow

This Resurrection Day, let us PROCLAIM and RECLAIM the Rainbow!

This bow in the clouds is a sign that our loving Father will never again condemn the world with a flood. In fact, in Isaiah 54:9 our Daddy God refuses to own the waters, but instead refers to them as "the waters of Noah."The rainbow is not an invitation to destroy yourself, but a reminder and a covenant that the Lord has visited all our sins upon his Son, that we may reign in life with Him!God the Father will never rain judgment down upon us, because all of it fell upon his Son!One last revelation: what is a rainbow? Strictly speaking, a rainbow is light that is refracted. Another word for refracted is "broken." Jesus, the light of the world, was broken for our peace! The Rainbow speaks of Jesus and His finished work!In no wise are we "taking back the rainbow," for no one can take away the rainbow! The truth is that we are reclaiming its full revelation!#Easter #ResurrectionDay #Jesus #Rainbow #ReclaimTheRainbow #ProclaimTheRainbow #TakingBackTheRainbow #StandForTruth #ReignInLife #Righteousness #Peace #Joy #Easter2022 #SayHisName #Saved #Savior #MySavior

Celebrate the Resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ who has overcome death with victory.  Some of our Jewish friends still believe Christ' disciples stole Christ body from the tomb.  However Dr. David Jeremiah explains why that was impossible.  You see, CHRIST IS RISEN!!  Since CHRIST is risen we also know we will rise.  But first we need to live the commandment Jesus gave us in John 13:34:

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."

Remember Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:10-13: "And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.  Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.  And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many grow cold.  But he who endures to the end shall be saved."

Easter Statement from the American Family Association

Dear Arthur,

Several years ago, I heard a very popular Christian speaker talk to a large audience for an hour. He said nothing heretical. He said nothing controversial. He just focused on the “unconditional” love of God. Again, nothing wrong with what he did say, but it is what he did not say that bothered me. He said nothing about repentance of sin. There is a reason Jesus said what he said in the above bible verse. And there is a reason John the Baptist introduced Jesus to the world with the exact same proclamation in Matthew 3:2: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”There is a popular trend going on in the American Christian church. The trend is to talk of the love of God without talking about the justice of God. But if you read the Bible, it is clear, there exists both the grace of God and the wrath of God, and Jesus Christ spoke of both. Many Christians around the world have been celebrating Holy Week this week culminating today with Easter Sunday or what some churches call Resurrection Sunday. It is to commemorate the victory of Jesus over Satan, sin, death and hell. This is good news! And “good news” is the meaning of the word “gospel.”It is true that God’s love for mankind is “unconditional.” However, in order for man to be in right relationship with God, man must conform his life to match with God’s requirement of man. And God does not force this decision on man. God draws a person to himself, but it is the free will of the individual to decide if he or she will obey God’s requirements for a right relationship or not.Jesus called this experience being “born again.” In other words, a person (every human) must understand that he or she has violated God’s laws and is forever separated from God spiritually unless he or she repents of their sin and trust in the shed blood of Jesus on the cross for forgiveness of that sin in order to be counted among those who have been redeemed. Redeemed from the consequences of unrepentant sin which is death and hell. What I am writing here in not popular in modern day America and where we want to live our own life without interference from God. It’s our natural tendency to live for ourselves instead of obey the commands of God. That is the eternal struggle between flesh and the spirit. In order to prove our love for Christ, he says we must deny ourselves, pick up our cross daily, and follow him. Our “cross” is a challenge to wake up daily and try our best to live like Jesus. The way we learn to live like Jesus is to study the Bible, take time to pray and fellowship with other believers (followers) which we call “church.” God knows we will fail at this precisely because we are human. Sometimes we are tempted by sin and we give in to it. But the Bible also says that if we are willing to confess our sins to God, He is willing to forgive us. That also is great news!No one is compelled to believe this. You may read this and call it foolishness. That is your right. But if that is your view, I at least encourage you to read one book in the Bible, the gospel of John, and consider the claims of the Bible and Christ before you dismiss Christianity.

To my fellow Christians, I say, “He is Risen!”

Arrogance Personified: "No Show" Torrance Treasurer Dana Cortez Runs Again

Say "No" to "No Show" Dana Cortez
for City Treasurer

It's bad enough that Tax Hike Mike Griffiths wants to run for Torrance City Treasurer, mostly because he wants to have a seat in city government until he can run for mayor in eight years.

It's worse yet that FORMER city councilman Tim Goodrich, when he wasn't burning the American military and blocking generals from driving out of parking lots, ran for city council while claiming to be some big pro-American patriotic hero, only to quit a year before his second term had ended, and now he wants to be treasurer because he claims that he "has the time now."

Now we have the do-nothing, no-show incumbent Torrance treasurer Dana Cortez running for re-election!

This woman has been a no-show for the office for the last four years! Despite what some people say in the city, that she was unfairly blamed for financial problems in the city, the fact is that she is collecting a paycheck, benefits, and perks--and she is not doing her job.

She has not been to the city council meetings for over three years. The city council even endorsed a recall effort to have her removed from office. I participated in that effort, led by current Torrance Treasurer candidate (and my preferred choice) Rick Marshall.

I am so committed to getting rid of "No Show" Cortez, that I spoke to two businesses that had "Elect Dana Cortez for Treasurer" signs on their lawns.

This is how arrogant this woman is! First, she files to run for re-election, and she has even gone so far as to distribute yard signs propping up her re-election bid! Of course, the signs say "Elect" Cortez, as though she is not currently in the elected office. She certainly is not serving in the position, that's for sure.

I spoke with the two businessses, and I told them the truth about Cortez:

1. She is the current city treasurer.

2. She has not show up to work in nearly four years.

3. She is taking Torrance taxpayers for a ride, and now has the disgusting arrogance to run for re-election for the seat.

Both businesses took down the sign!

This is good news.

Let's hope, however, that voters get informed as soon as possible about this lazy woman and throw her OUT OF OFFICE!

Say NO to "No Show" Dana Cortez for Torrance City Treasurer.

ICYMI: California School Boards Association Leaves the NSBA

CSBA Board of Directors decides against renewing NSBA membership

Dear CSBA member:

CSBA is recognized for its advocacy in the California Legislature on behalf of the state’s public schools. This is a reputation and a responsibility that we take with the utmost seriousness. Yet, in order to fully leverage our capacity in service of public education, we also engage in lobbying at the federal level. This federal advocacy takes many forms, one of which is membership in the National School Boards Association, an organization of state school boards associations like CSBA.

During the most recent review of CSBA’s membership in NSBA, conducted at CSBA’s March 26 board meeting, the board opted against renewing our annual NSBA membership. The board also declined to pursue membership in any other organizations that have emerged following the departure of numerous state associations from NSBA. The nearly unanimous decision to leave NSBA, when the current membership period ends on June 30, underscores the strength of the arguments for severing this relationship.

March 26, 2022, was not the first time CSBA questioned whether California’s interests were being properly represented by NSBA. Many of you received a message on Oct. 4, 2019, announcing that CSBA’s board of directors had voted to suspend the organization’s membership in NSBA. That email listed a number of reasons for the decision including CSBA’s inequitable representation in NSBA’s governance structure and the organization’s lack of support for policy issues of importance to California. It also communicated our dissatisfaction with some of NSBA’s business practices and lack of coordination and communication with CSBA as a state association member. We said at the time, and believe today, that the numerous challenges faced by NSBA makes it difficult to effectively represent CSBA’s interests at the federal level.

In addition, NSBA’s ability to effectively advocate for public education has significantly deteriorated since 2019 due to a lack of effective executive and board leadership ongoing financial challenges, and a lack of focus on its core mission around effective national advocacy. These issues are just some of the concerns that have prompted 21 other state school boards associations to terminate their membership with NSBA or decline to renew it. As a result, the organization’s future is in doubt and its present situation does not offer sufficient value to justify continued membership.

For more than a decade, CSBA extended NSBA the benefit of the doubt and took numerous steps to remain in the organization, including expressing our concerns verbally and in writing beginning in 2011. Multiple CSBA presidents as well as CEO & Executive Director Vernon M. Billy have met with NSBA’s board of directors to air concerns, and yet these issues persist. Ultimately, the board determined that we could no longer continue to participate in NSBA without undermining our mission, jeopardizing the success of our own strategic initiatives, and sacrificing our core values and commitment to promote the interests of California governing board members and the students you serve.

Recognizing that this day might come, CSBA has been steadily increasing its presence in D.C. to compensate for the growing ineffectiveness of NSBA and allow for more robust and more direct advocacy on federal matters. We have developed a strong partnership with the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) that serves as a launchpad for new policy and advocacy activities at the federal level. One example of this approach is our first Coast2Coast lobbying trip, scheduled for late April, where school trustees, superintendents and other education leaders will travel to the nation’s capital to advocate for California-specific legislative priorities. Coast2Coast will provide a level of direct advocacy not offered by any national organization, let alone NSBA, and will build on the work our federal lobbying firm does in D.C.

CSBA’s impending departure from NSBA signals a clean break with an approach to federal lobbying that has not always served CSBA’s interests well. I am excited by the prospects for this new era and the opportunity it grants CSBA to pursue a federal advocacy strategy that most directly serves the state’s interests and its public schools.

FINALLY: Torrance To Enforce Anti-Camping Ordinance Soon

From The Daily Breeze:

Torrance to enforce anti-camping ordinance once temporary housingshelter opens

By KRISTY HUTCHINGS | khutchings@scng.com |

Torrance’s 40-unit temporary housing shelter officially has an expected opening date — June 26 — and with it will come more stringent enforcement of the city’s anti-camping rules, officials said this week.

It's about time! Of course, if the Supreme Court had done its job and heard the challenge to the awful case Martin v. Boise, we would not have had to daily in this fashion in the first place.

Frankly, it's not a city's job to provide housing at length to every homeless person who wanders into a city. This court-ordered enabling is creating an unsustainable problem in western states.

As site constriction for the Pallet shelter community nears completion, city officials and the Police Department are working to finalize on-site security measures and future police response to homelessness throughout Torrance at large.

A number of residents are understandably upset that the pallet shelters are in District three, right next to the police station, but also near residential areas in the city.

According to some of the city councilmembers, that was the best option in the shortest time possible. There is discussion about moving the pallet homes near the soon-to-be-opened transit center on Crenshaw and Mariposa. In my opinion, having the pallet homes right next to the police department is the best location, since it's easier for the city police to keep an eye on the lot, to maintain security, and ensure that the city will be safe.

Police Chief Jeremiah Hart announced at this week’s City Council meeting that the Police Department will enforce Torrance’s anti-camping ordinance once the Pallet tiny homes are open. The anti-camping ordinance outlaws sleeping on public streets and sidewalks.

Finally! We need enforcement on this issue in the city of Torrance. There are too many bums, too many homeless who are still camping out in bus stations or in front of public buildings around the city. One homeless guy is constantly hanging out in front of the Torrance Main Library, and he scares the students who go to the library after school.

“Our experience is that we have people who are saying they’re open to services, and we have people who are resistant to services,” Hart said. “When the Pallet shelter is open, the anti-camping ordinance will be enforced by the Police Department (on) those people who are service resistant.”

If there are people who want to be homeless, who refuse to take responsibility for their lives, they are going to have to go somewhere else. This sounds harsh to some people, but the state of California and its rogue courts have started creating a system that enables dependence, homelessness, and the like. This really has to stop.

But People Assisting the Homeless, or PATH, an organization that has helped place 9,000 people into permanent housing since its establishment in 1983, said anti-camping laws don’t target the root issues that lead to homelessness.

“PATH has seen that enforcement rarely ends a person’s episode of homelessness,” PATH spokesperson Tyler Renner said in an email Wednesday, April 13. “Our approach to outreach is person-centered, trauma-informed and relies on building trust.

No one should condemn people who have fallen on hard times. In some cases, people are on the street because they are running away from domestic violence or abusive parents. But in many cases, those individuals eventually get back on their feet, and oftentimes very quickly. Those individuals who are chronically homeless are either on drugs or mentally ill, and they struggle at greater length to get help, get off the street, and get back on their feet. The last thing that any government should be doing is making it easier for these sick individuals to stay on the street, ruin the quality of life for the community,

“Ultimately, any successful outreach or enforcement efforts,” Renner added, “must be connected to robust resources and lead to long-term housing.”

A 2018 landmark federal court decision in Martin v. Boise ruled that cities could not legally enforce anti-camping ordinances without first providing shelter for their unhoused populations — citing the Constitution’s Eighth Amendment guarantee of protection from cruel and unusual punishment.

It's wrong for a newspaper to engage in "newspeak" and call the homeless "unhoused." Renaming a problem to something more politically correct does not solve the problem. People are "unhouse" when they leave their homes, or when they go on vacation, since they are not in their house. The truth is that people living in the street are homeless. Let's not diminish that reality.

Torrance’s tiny home program fulfills that legal duty to provide some sort of shelter to the unhoused, according to Hart, meaning the city will fall within its rights to enforce the ordinance.

 YES.

Police officers will be directed to offer a spot in the temporary housing program to any homeless individuals they encountered during service calls, Hart said.

If a person who is homeless repeatedly refuses to accept services or a place in the program, Hart said, they will be issued a citation or arrested, depending on the situation.

These individuals who refuse to receive help need to leave the city. It's as simple as that. They will not be allowed to camp on people's property or on public property.

“It’s important as the chief of police to let everyone know that the direction I’ve been giving staff is that we will follow constitutional policing,” Hart said, “which guarantees the rights of all people — the city of Torrance residents who live in homes and also the people on our streets.”

One question that remains, however, is what the city will do if the new shelter, in a parking lot behind the courthouse at the Torrance Civic Center, is at capacity.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority’s 2020 homeless count survey reported 332 unhoused individuals in Torrance alone — a 106 person increase from the previous year. While LAHSA’s latest homeless count data won’t be released until July, some members of the City Council said they believe the numbers have likely increased in the past two years.

“That’s one of the big concerns that I have about this program,” Councilman Mike Griffiths said. “The fact that our shelter is relatively small in comparison to the unhoused that we know to be in our community —  I’m very concerned that we’re just going to be back to square one.”

The city of Torrance needs to join with other cities and refile a lawsuit to overturn Martin v. Boise.

Anti-camping enforcement will be determined essentially on a case-by-case basis, Hart said during the Tuesday, April 12, council meeting, depending on bed availability at the shelter. Legally, the Police Department cannot cite or arrest the unhoused for camping if there are no tiny homes available.

“The cycle for the Police Department will be to continue to identify people in the city who are homeless and offering them services,” he said, “but there will be no enforcement of the anti-camping ordinance if there isn’t an available bed.”

This is a real problem. What happens, then, if more people start showing up to the city of Torrance to take advantage of these limitations?

The tiny home program is designed to be temporary, and will be stocked with supportive services to help transition peopls who are homeless into permanent housing, according to Deputy City Manager Viet Hoang.

This point offers more hope. Not much, though.

“Our hope is that someone can transition from homelessness to permanent housing in the three to six month time frame,” Hoang said, noting that there are various factors that impact that time frame.

It should not be a city's job to provide everything for the homeless. This is government charity on steroids, and this causes nothing but problems.

“Homelessness is as unique as the individual,” Hoang added. “Some people will need more help than others.

The second challenge, Hoang said, is the actual availability of housing in the area.

Torrance’s programs will focus on transitioning its clients to three types of permanent housing, Hoang said: Reunification with family, permanent supportive housing (with long-term supportive services), and housing subsidies (which could include a housing voucher to help cover monthly rent).

On-site coordinators, who will know the individual’s situation and the resources available to them, will create and manage the housing plans.

Harbor Interfaith Services, a San Pedro nonprofit, was officially awarded a contract to operate the site on Tuesday. The organization will hire a program manager, two intake coordinators/case managers and five resident aides to operate the program on a 24/7 basis.

Those employees will also help program residents access services necessary to prepare them for permanent housing, including for mental health treatment.

Some of those services are:

LA County Department of Health Services will provide ongoing COVID-19 testing and vaccines; the Venice Family Clinic will provide baseline health care services.

LA County Department of Public Social Services will assist with enrollment in financial aid and food stamp benefits.

Volunteers from faith-based organizations will help secure hygiene items and organize social events for residents.

SouthBay Workforce Investment Board will provide life skills, work preparedness  and job search training.

Harbor Interfaith will also hire two 24/7 on-site security guards via the private security company Black Knight Patrol, officials said at Tuesday’s meeting. They’ll be responsible for enforcing all site and program rules, including a nightly curfew.

Besides enforcing the anti-camping ordinance where possible, Hart said, the Police Department will increase its on-foot patrols near Civic Center and potentially use drone technology to monitor the site from above to discourage loitering nearby.

Final Reflection

The homelessness problem has gotten worse in the city of Torrance only because of meddling politicians and bad courts who want to make this problem worse. There is a big industry getting big government money to keep the homelessness problem growing.

While the pallet homes is a temporary fix, what is needed long-term is a robust effort to push back on the Martin v. Boise judicial tyranny forcing cities to give funds to people who will not get their lives together.

Let's hope that enforcement builds up quickly as serves as an effective deterrent to end the homeless plague in the city of Torrance. It has gotten so bad, so out of hand, that one former resident, who recently moved to San Pedro, informed me that port section of Los Angeles has pretty much eliminated the homelessness problem, and that area looks better than Torrance does right now!

That's embarrassing. Torrance is better than this. We didn't want to turn into Los Angeles two years ago, but now if Los Angeles is looking better, then let's follow their deliberate model and put an end to the rampant loitering and camping on public causeways.
