Right To Work Foundation Launching Another Attack on Public Sector Union Bullying (Bierman v. Dayton)

Janus v. AFSMCE was not the silver bullet which I had hoped it would be.

The Supreme Court decision has outlined that public sector unions can no longer force people to pay into a union which they have not joined.

But now individual workers and their supporting organizations need to force these unions to comply with the ruling. They need to ensure that individuals can choose to join other unions as well as choose not to join a union at all.

Check out what they are working on now:

Arthur, this is incredible.

The Union Bosses are trembling at the thought of your Foundation's next case reaching the Supreme Court.

For the first time, one of Big Labor's most powerful lobbying weapons could be challenged at the Supreme Court.

They call it "collective bargaining."

But it's more accurately named monopoly bargaining, and this coercive scheme is used to divert government budgets into Big Labor's coffers, and raise your taxes to pay for it.

Fortunately, that may be about to change.

In just a few days, your Foundation can make history with a case asking the Supreme Court to, for the first time, examine the constitutionality of this scheme

A gavel landing on the right side of Bierman v. Dayton would free thousands of workers from union boss control, and even swing open the door to end public sector monopoly bargaining nationwide.

With the union bosses' primary lobbying weapon off the table, their power to bludgeon politicians into backing Big Labor's schemes would dwindle away

So it's no surprise the union bosses are PETRIFIED.

In fact, you can be sure they're already plotting to run every dirty trick in the book to halt your Foundation's effort to free tens of thousands of workers from union monopoly ranks and restore their First Amendment rights.

That's why I'm coming to you right now.

Will you chip in $25 to punch through Big Labor's roadblocks and see this case through to the Supreme Court

The first hurdle to cross is filing our writ of certiorari.

But with the filing deadline just days away, your Foundation is scrambling to ensure we have the necessary resources to guarantee our petition has the best chance of being granted.

It takes an entire team of your Foundation's experienced attorneys to put forth the best legal argument for the Supreme Court to ultimately rule Big Labor's monopoly bargaining powers as incompatible with the First Amendment.

And that's not all.

A potential U.S. Supreme Court case of this importance involves thousands of hours of legal research, drafting of briefs, responding to union arguments, coordinating of amicus briefs, and staging multiple moot court hearings to polish the arguments to be presented to the Supreme Court Justices.

Foundation staff attorneys are already working hard to make sure they're ready for anything union lawyers throw our way.

But the expenses are soaring

We know from past experiences and victories that legal costs can skyrocket amidst a heated battle at the Supreme Court.

In fact, we've seen federal judges rule the cost of attorney fees to be well over $1 million for similar cases.

And now that the opening rounds of this Supreme Court showdown are being chambered and aimed, union boss lawyers are scheming to launch a slew of dirty legal tricks to encourage the Supreme Court to reject our appeal.

You see, every curveball Big Labor throws at the Foundation-backed Bierman case will drain more of our resources.

That's why it's crucial your National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation reaches our Supreme Court Victory Fund goal of $120,000 by the upcoming Thursday night deadline

I hope you'll help us close the gap with a generous and tax-deductible donation of $15, $25, $50 or more right away

I really appreciate your support in this major Supreme Court case brought by your National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation.

So please contribute below:

Pitch in $15 immediately >>>

Pitch in $25 immediately >>>

Pitch in $50 immediately >>>

Pitch in $75 immediately >>>

Pitch in $100 immediately >>>

Sincerely,

Public sector unions need to face pressure like never before. Their power is still unprecedented in a number of states, and the people who are footing the bills for their excessive privilege have a right to relief!

Press Release: MassResistance Condemns Unjust Termination of French Teacher at West Point, VA School District

Friday, December 7th, 2018.

Torrance, CA---

On behalf of outraged parents throughout the country, including in the Commonwealth of Virginia, MassResistance Organization Director Arthur Schaper issued the following statement in defense of French teacher Peter Vlaming and against the West Point, VA School Board for his unjust termination:

"The transgender movement imposing its destructive ideology onto teachers and students and in public schools must be confronted," Schaper stated. "For a teacher to be terminated simply because he supposedly "misgendered" a student is as reprehensible as it gets.

"Every person is born either male or female, and no amount of reconstructive surgery or hormone replacements can alter that fact. To force working professionals such as teachers to accommodate this lie is nothing short of child abuse. Mr. Vlaming should not have faced termination simply for stating the truth about students and referring to individual students according to their biological sex.

Schaper continued: "For 25 years, MassResistance has warned the public about the LGBT Agenda, that it would not only seek to indoctrinate young children into it's immoral, anti-biological insanity, but threaten the lives and very livelihood of anyone who stood in its way. We demand that the West Point, VA School Board reinstate Mr. Vlaming immediately, and we urge all parents in the community to urge the school district and its staff from imposing this perverse transgender ideology."

MassResistance is the international pro-family group that makes a difference. Founded in 1993 by President Brian Camenker as the Parents Rights Coalition, MassResistance has taken a clear-cut stance against the LGBT Agenda, highlighting its aggressive, tyrannical push into every aspect of public life--and all at the expense of faith, family, and freedom.

UPDATE

Mr. Vlaming is fighting this dismissal:

Fearless Pro-Family Activist Bill Whatcott Takes Over for Canada MassResistance Chapter

Fearless Canadian pro-family leader Bill Whatcott takes the reins of new our Canada MassResistance chapter. Headed for “hate speech” trial this week.

For passing out flyers in Vancouver (still legal in the US!)

See video of Bill’s great speech at Dec. 1 conference in Calgary

December 7, 2018
ALT TEXTBill's speech is good to hear if you are wondering where the US might be headed. See the video below.
Our newest MassResistance chapter in Canada will be led by long-time pro-life, pro-family activist Bill Whatcott. Bill is perhaps the most fearless warrior we’ve encountered in the fight against abortion and the radical homosexual agenda.
ALT TEXT
On December 11, 2018 Bill will be in court again. This time it is a four-day trial before the biased Human Rights Tribunal of British Columbiafor “hate speech.” MassResistance will be on the scene for the entire trial and provide exclusive coverage.
ALT TEXTInside the BC Human Rights Tribunal.
Whatcott’s accuser is a “transgender woman” – i.e., a man – who was a socialist candidate for Parliament in 2017 in Vancouver. What was Bill’s crime? Passing out flyers identifying the candidate by his male name, and reminding voters that God created us male and female – not M, F, or T. The plaintiff is a major activist behind the LGBTQ curriculumin B.C. schools. The “transgender woman,” Mr. Ronan Oger (who uses the name “Morgane Oger”) subsequently lost the election. Oger is demanding that a huge fine be leveled against Bill.
Ronan Oger dressed up as a woman and ran for Parliament, but lost after Bill leafletted the district.
As Bill recounted,
The response to my flyer was visceral, with Ronan running to the police, Elections BC and the BC Human Rights Tribunal in an effort to have me prosecuted for calling him a man. Ronan and his activists held a demonstration that was attended by around 100 people and four left wing churches published an open letter condemning my flyer and affirming their belief that Ronan was a woman and LGBT was celebrated by God.
In the end, Ronan self-destructed his own election campaign by focusing on me and my flyers and lost by 400 votes. BC Human Rights Tribunal elected to prosecute me and as a result I will be travelling to BC to stand trial December 11-14.

Never afraid to speak out

Bill is not intimidated. Last Saturday, Dec. 1, his good friend Pastor Art Pawlowski, another fearless Godly firebrand, held a conference in Calgary, titled the Agape Global Fellowship conference, to deal boldly with the culture war issues in Canada today.
Bill gave an extremely interesting speech on The History of Homosexual Activism in Canada – and my upcoming trial. The video of his speech is below and definitely worth watching – especially if you want to see where the US is likely headed.
VIDEO: Bill Whatcott: The history of homosexual activism in Canada - and my upcoming trial.

It’s his second “hate crime” fight this year

As we’ve observed, Canada is arguably several steps ahead of the U.S. in its silencing and persecution of conservatives. So it’s no surprise that Bill is facing his second major criminal charge this year for doing things that would be legal in the US. In June 2018, MassResistance had exclusive coverage of Bill’s arrest and extradition to Toronto to face another “hate crime” charge. His crime there? He dared to inject a Christian message (along with humor) in the 2016 Toronto gay pride parade.
His accusers in Toronto are suing for an absurd $100 million -- from this man who can no longer even secure employment, thanks to his phony “criminal” record!
We continue to be amazed at these Canadian pro-family activists in the face of a totalitarian environment. Our new Canada MassResistance chapter will certainly be exciting to watch!

MassResistance Confronts Drag Queen Story Hour in Riverside! Makes Big NEWS!

MassResistance confronts “Drag Queen Story Hour” in Riverside, California

See incredible VIDEO of a mother in action!

Cross-dressing homosexuals out to disrupt the minds of a generation of children.

Confrontation reported by Los Angeles NBC-TV station.

December 5, 2018
ALT TEXTInside the "Drag Queen Story Hour." These men are out to change the way children view reality.
The latest threat to young children from the LGBT movement is a horror show called “Drag Queen Story Hour.” And it is happening in libraries and bookstores across the country!
THIS IS HOW ACTIVISM WORKS!
VIDEO: A mother confronts the Drag Queen Story Hour

“Drag Queen Story Hour” (DQSH) events are organized and promoted by national LGBT groups and the left-wing American Library Association. Homosexual men wearing garish women’s clothes and makeup read LGBT-themed stories to children as young as three years old!
Most of the so-called drag queens are homosexuals, not “transgenders” (i.e., they don’t actually think they’re women). Clearly, their interest is pushing the entire spectrum of LGBT behavior on children.
Most people are revolted by this but are afraid to do anything. But not our MassResistance activists! Once again, we were on the ground to confront it.

They admit: “We are trying to groom the next generation.”

These homosexual activists are very open about their goals. Their own literature says that their purpose is to “give kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models” and to encourage young children to “defy rigid gender restrictions.”  They want the vulnerable minds of very young children to accept destructive LGBT behaviors as normal.
As LifeSiteNews recently reported, a homosexual drag queen in Louisiana told a local city council meeting, “We are trying to groom the next generation.” To the LGBT movement, the Judeo-Christian view of men and women is repugnant and must be countered.

The “drag queen” event comes to Riverside, CA

Riverside, California, is a relatively conservative area in a very blue state. It’s the kind of place that the LGBT movement likes to target. Usually they choose a public library, but this time it was at a bookstore – the Cellar Door bookstore – not far from the center of town. It has a prominent children’s section and regularly schedules story events for local children – though not like this one!
ALT TEXTThe Cellar Door Book store in Riverside, CA.
They advertised the event for Oct. 27, right before Halloween. In the weeks leading up to the event, local MassResistance parents called, emailed, leafletted, and even talked to the owner personally to try to convince her not be part of this horrible agenda targeting young children. But she refused to budge. It went on as scheduled.

Parents fight back: Here’s how you do pro-family activism!

The morning of the event, a MassResistance mother, Genevieve, along with another activist, Jesse, walked in with their cell phone cameras. Genevieve stood near the front and began videoing the “drag queens” as they made their presentation. The man stayed in the back to video their interactions with Genevieve.
Before long the bookstore owner and some other pro-LGBT activists confronted Genevieve and surrounded her, and the scene began to get chaotic. The owner told Genevieve to leave, but she refused. “You advertised this as a public event,” she said. “And I’m the public.”
ALT TEXTPro-LGBT activists soon started to surround Genevieve ...
ALT TEXT... and they were not happy with her being there! But she stood up to them.
She was fearless and didn’t mince words. (This is very important – most pro-family people are afraid to express their justified outrage.) Being very firm and (mostly) polite, Genevieve told them exactly what she and so many others think about what they are doing to children. Judging by their reaction, nobody in the room had ever been rebuked that directly.
A few of the pro-LGBT activists brought out a curtain and held it up to block Genevieve from filming the drag queens. Then one of the drag queens came over to try to "dialogue" with her. Both our MassResistance activists stood their ground the whole time.
ALT TEXTOne of the drag queens came up this close to Genevieve. But she wasn't intimidated at all.
Clearly, they were all rattled by Genevieve’s direct words. Not surprisingly, the bookstore owner claimed that the outrage against the event was “hate” – and what the drag queens were doing to children was “loving tolerance.”
Soon the police arrived. Genevieve and the Jesse walked out the door with them. Standing outside of the shop, she calmly explained to the police what was going on inside and why she and Jesse did what they did. The police actually seemed supportive of them - and were certainly not hostile.
ALT TEXTThe police really couldn't have been nicer!
Genevieve and Jesse had made their point in a big way. Genevieve had livestreamed her video on Facebook and it quickly went viral.

The word REALLY spreads as the media picks it up

The social media storm erupted about the confrontation, and a few days later the Los Angeles NBC-TV station called her and they interviewed her.
The TV report was biased, but not extremely so. Genevieve got some good words in. As usual with pro-LGBT liberals (most who were referred to only as "parents"), the shop owner and the drag queen relied on the tired “hate speech versus love and tolerance” line and refused to deal with what they were really doing to children.
VIDEO: NBC-Los Angeles TV Report
(Note: A commercial may comes up first)

We'll call this a success!

With the social media and TV coverage, our California MassResistance activists definitely woke up a lot of people and made a strong statement that got the attention of the opposition as well as our supporters! A lot more people in Southern California now know what's going on - and that there are people unafraid to oppose it!

Reflection on the Death of George Herbert Walker Bush

George Herbert Walker Bush has passed away, the latest President to serve only one term and the last one to serve in World War II. I am not saddened by his passing, although elements of his legacy are remarkable. He was the first President I recall from my childhood. Although I was born in 1980, and Ronald Reagan was the first President in my lifetime, I don’t remember the Gipper. I do remember George H.W. Bush from the outset of his administration, when he was sworn in as Reagan’s hopeful successor. In fact, in January 1989 I watched his inauguration ceremony along with the rest of my second-grade classmates.

What else comes to mind, however, when I think of the Elder President Bush? My Aunt Frannie from West Mifflin, Pennsylvania in late 1991, the last time that I visited her. She was irate in those days. Why? “Read my lips! No new taxes!” she griped to me. Next, she pointed out the rising taxes shrinking her already fixed retirement income. She later mentioned how every foreign-made car on the streets of Pittsburg (right down the valley from her home) put four Americans out of work. She probably would have voted for Trump if she were alive today, but she definitely hated Bush.

Another childhood memory: A group of protesters outside of my local post office were denouncing President Bush. “He is Nero-Minded!”, one pamphlet read. The demonstrators informed me more about this New World Order, an agenda troubles Americans even today. Our country should never surrender its unique place—and role—in a world fraught with tyranny and seduced by socialism. No doubt, Phyliss Schlafy was extremely dismissive of this so-called Republican, especially since he remained committed to promulgating the aggressive, interventionist foreign policy of the Kissinger era two decades before. Governments which fight wars for the few at the expense of the rest cannot continue.

Despite his rise to prominence with pro-America conservative Ronald Reagan, Bush remained vocally committed to the Globalism fantasy, the notion that nations should further cooperate, even submit their sovereignty to a larger global agency in the pursuit of world peace. The contradiction manifested itself so clearly when Bush posited a “New World Order” as a commitment to the rule of law, when such legal strictures require respect for individual nation-states, but certainly not to a global organization like the corrupt, feckless United Nations. Bush signed into law the legislative program which gave us Agenda 21 today. Bush was a civilized statist, to say the least, but a statist nonetheless.

His reticence on the world stage was not commendable, either, following the fall of the Berlin Wall, the downfall of the Soviet Union, and the whole Communist enterprise. Some middling conservatives and contrived moderate Republicans look to Bush’s effusive demeanor during that time with fondness. “It was good for President Bush not to rub this massive victory in Russia’s face,” they will claim. I could not disagree more. While our leaders should seek peace with all world leaders, Bush should have extensively commended his predecessor’s calm, dedicated resolve to consign communism to the ash-heap of history. If there was a new world order to celebrate, that was the time, an order where principled leaders fight for individual liberty at all costs and sanction those countries who don’t. To this day, I cry with joy recalling Berlins on both sides of the wall dancing, cheering, and knocking down that tyrannical blockade. President Bush should have welcomed those victories with greater acclaim.

The worst thing that Bush 41 did during his administration, though? He betrayed his base, the Reaganites who had swept into power a conservative revolution sixteen years in the making would see its reversal during his one-term troubles. “Read my lips: no new taxes!” Bush had triumphantly promised to great acclaim at the 1988 Republican National Committee Convention. Two years later, November 5th, 1990, Bush said to the voters “Kiss My Butt!” and signed into law a massive omnibus, riddled with tax increases, which in turn became “Pay Through the Nose”. The fact that the press and academy would praise “his courage” for raising taxes on the rest of us was just sickening. There is no courage when forcing other people to pay for your costs.

Despite his successful military leadership during Operation Desert Shield—later Operation Desert Storm—in Iraq, the recession which followed crippled Bush’s already waning re-election chances in 1992. He was the architect of his own undoing. The roaring Reagan Revolution economy wavered because of the tax increases. The supply-side economics which allowed individuals, including business owners and wealthy investors, to keep their money actually works. Bush the Big Government liberal Republican called such free market reforms “voodoo economics” in his frustrated bid for the Presidency in 1980. Bush was also a social liberal, comfortable with abortion and certainly non-committal when it came to natural marriage.

A Rockefeller Republican long after the liberal Governor of New York turned short-lived Vice President had passed away. Conservatism with conviction (not globalist accommodation) rescued the United States from moral and fiscal decline in 1980. That same resolve saved America with the election of President Donald Trump—and with it a final repudiation of Bush’s elitist statism. No wonder Bush voted for Hillary.

As expected, just as the legacy (liberal, anti-Trump) media gushed over the deceased “Republican” US Senator John McCain, so too they are tripping over themselves to celebrate George H. W. Bush. His private life, from his 73-year marriage to Barbara Pierce to the storied legacy of his political family succeeding on their own merits, deserves reflection and praise. His service to the United States during World War II was commendable, as he received the Distinguished Flying Cross for “bravery under fire”.  Let the media fawn all they please about President Bush, the dedicated family man and veteran. However, as President, the elder Bush was a failure whose disregard for his party’s principles and our country’s values were ill-placed in the White House.

Election 2018: The Month After

Election 2018 has come and gone. I had predicted that the Republicans would keep Congress. We lost the House, although Fox News’ perverse decision to call the House election so quickly rankled many, including me. How could they have possibly determined that West Coast targeted House seats would fall into the Democratic camp, when the polls had not even closed?

At least we kept the US Senate. I had hoped for a much wider margin of victory, but that didn’t happen either. Montanans voted for Tester—again! What is it with these Big Sky State voters? At least Paul Gianforte won re-election, although the margin was a little too close.

The Republican Party did manage to defy history. Remember that in 2010, a similar year to compare with 2018, Republicans gained six seats, adding the stunning special election upset in Massachusetts with Scott Brown of Wrentham.

The Democratic takeover of the House of Representatives remains a stunner. I had really expected that we would stave off hard losses, aside from a handful of states which have gotten bluer as conservative voters flee to red-state climes. California is the epicenter for this internal mass migration, sure, but even then I thought that the extra attention from the national party would make up the difference.

And yet so many House seats went blue this time, and in Orange County, California, the reddest county in California and even the country. Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, a long-standing conservative stalwart (who also represented me in Congress in the late 1980s) was swept out by a thin margin, along with House GOP Conference Chair Mimi Walters, Steve Knight, and Jeff Denham (in the Central Valley). If the incoming provisional ballots foretell anything, it looks like David Valadao is toast, too. Lord have mercy, Republicans were already an endangered species. Now we are on the “Where’s Waldo?” List.

Oh brother, what happened?

First, before going into the bad news, and there’s plenty, let’s consider that the final tally stands at 234 Democrats to 201 Republicans. Remember back to 2010, and Democrats lost all of their House seat gains from 2006 and 2008 in one fell sweep. The Democratic margin of victory was not as strong, even though they spent multi-millions in targeted races. $30 million flooded Orange County airwaves. The media market covers Southern California, from Ventura to Orange County, all the way to the Inland Empire.

Let’s not neglect that even where US Senate candidates lost, their margins were closer than expected. In Michigan, Debbie Stabenow had to debate her opponent, and she still won by 52%. Ohio’s Sherrod Brown barely held on, too. Republicans are making gains in these swing states. And let’s not forget Florida. US Senator Scott along with Governor Ron DeSantis signal more Trump-like victories down the road. All told, Republicans held onto key governorships: Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Iowa, all in preparation for 2020, including GOP trifectas, too! Even if the federal delegations took a hit, the state delegations remain strong. In Wisconsin, Governor Walker lost, but the legislature remains in Republican hands.

Big money flipped seats, but a number of close-margin Congressional victories in red states (South Carolina, Iowa,  Kansas, Oklahoma, Utah) spell trouble for Democrats in 2020. Nancy Pelosi is unpopular, and the bare minimum of Democrats have voiced opposition to stave off her coronation next year.

Now for the reality check: 2018 was a failure for the Republicans at the popular level, and they need to assess, regroup, and regain.

1.       The Republican National Committee threw a lot of investment into Orange County, CA. Why weren’t they paying closer attention sooner? The House reps had won by comfortable margins in 2014 and 2016. Congressman Darrell Issa didn’t even campaign in 2014. However, in the 2016 June primary the former House Committee Oversight Chairman held a thin 51% margin. Not good. The alarm bells should have been going off not just for that election cycle, but for two years afterwards. If Orange County was trending blue—and so quickly—where were the forces to stave it off?
2.       Speaking of forces: where is the voter registration? In California, it’s next to non-existent, and it shows, with Decline-To-State voters surpassing GOP registration by 1 million voters. What about in other states? Do we have national Republican leaders who have given up on this very simple yet necessary task?

3.       Voter Fraud! There is no way that tutu-wearing terrorist sympathizer Kyrsten Sinema would have carried off such a close upset in Maricopa County, Arizona while the rest of the state voted for other statewide Republican candidates by wide margins. Nevada, Florida, and California need thorough voter fraud investigations—and voter ID is not enough to combat this corruption.

4.       Anti-Trumpism in blue states requires a strong counter-argument, not a vapid retreat. The path to regaining the House of Representatives in 2020 includes suburban areas, especially in blue states. New Jersey’s delegation has gone from five Republicans to just one. This is inexcusable. Illinois voters threw out one Republican, but at least Trump worked hard enough to help Southern Illinois incumbents like Mike Bost. Does Trump want to win forty states or not?

5.       Red State House losses: Mia Love spent more time sparring with President Trump than paying attention to her own district. Kevin Yoder did the bidding of Big Business rather than the voters. Mark Sanford’s loss was Never-Trumpism at its worst. His replacement needed to do more than simply say “Trump endorsed me”, but the tragic car accident she endured marred her campaign. Mike Coffman was getting more liberal by the minute, and that didn’t help him.

6.       The suburbs! President Trump’s agenda is helping working Americans. Great. There are plenty of upwardly mobile suburban voters that need to know that the President has their back, too.

The losses could have been worse, but it’s not good to lose. Republicans need to do more than coast on Trump’s coattails or run from him if they want substantial victories in 2020.

Trump vs. Chief Justice John Roberts: Trump is in the Right

President Trump recently slammed the “Obama Judge” who stuck down his order to block the mobile mob along (which media have called “the migrant caravan) the United States’ southern border. In a rare move, United States Supreme Court Justice John Roberts rebuked the President for his criticism of the federal judiciary:

"We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges. What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them. That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for."

It’s understandable that the Chief Justice wants to counter any disparaging condemnation that independent judges have gone rogue. Certainly, no one wants to believe that one branch of government has abandoned its responsibility to impartial governance.

However, that’s exactly what is happening under the Trump Administration: social justice activism from the bench. Federal judges write their orders imposing sweeping outcomes, the rule of law and supremacy of the United States Constitution be damned! No one should delude themselves into believing that the federal court system is rigorously, unabashedly transparent and unbiased. John Roberts’ unforced error on forced judicial activism has opened up the much-needed debate.

Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have “Obama judges,” and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country … We need protection and security.

The President of the United States is not just chief executive to enforce the law, but he is charged with the supreme responsibility of protecting the rights of citizens and securing our nation’s borders from foreign invasion. Progressive attorneys and liberal judges need to revisit Article Four, Section Four of the United States Constitution if they have a problem with the President’s role.

Indeed, many of these judges are acting like “Obama judges” (not just the ones appointed by Obama): desperate progressives shoring up a Big Government, anti-constitutional legacy at all costs. President Trump has been repeatedly frustrated and delayed because of this rogue judicial supremacy. Trump issued the exact same travel ban as Obama, relying on the previous order, which targeted the same countries; yet Trump faced months of litigation as lower courts aided and abetted the legal version of “The Resistance”. All of this legal posturing is about re-litigating and defying Trump’s 2016 victory, and it’s nothing short of sickening.

This encroachment of the courts against executive power is not a new concern, either.

During the first months of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln engaged in so-called extra-legal measures in order to save the country. He conscripted an army without Congressional approval, and he suspended habeas corpus (a legal right which requires that an arrested party to be brought before a judge to determine whether they should be detained or released) in Maryland. Virginia had already seceded from the Union, and if Maryland broke away, too, the federal seat of government in Washington DC would have faced siege from all sides.

The United States Supreme Court formally intervened in 1861. Slave-owning Chief Justice (and Democrat) Roger Taney ruled against Lincoln’s suspension of habeas corpus in Ex Parte Merryman. The very partisan justice contended that the President had no authority to hold individuals indefinitely during times of war. However, Article 1, Section 9, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution clearly outlines that the habeas corpus writ can be suspended during such times of national crisis. In the end, Lincoln ignored the corrupt ruling which had interfered with his legal executive authority. President Trump should consider following Lincoln’s example and disregard the decision undercutting President Trump’s order to suspend asylum rules for the greater good of the country.

Yet there’s more to Trump’s bold defiance to Chief Justice Robert’s brazen, unjustified defense of the so-called independent judiciary.

Indeed, we have Obama judges, and even judges before that, who have become comfy and arrogant in their power. They are issuing widespread rulings to impose their views on how the world should work, what the government should get away with, and not get away with, and how the United States Constitution can mean whatever they want it to. Enumerated powers has turned into expanded judicial tyranny, and it’s hurting our country.

This progressive impulse afflicts federal judges of all rankings and background, whether installed by Republicans or Democrats. Power tends to corrupt, and absolutely power in the hands of life-long judicial appoints has corrupted a once-august institution deemed to serve as a check and balance against government overreach.

John Roberts has no right to talk. When Obama publicly chastised the United States Supreme Court for the Citizens United decision, Roberts said nothing. He upheld Obamacare’s individual mandate, even though it clearly violated the interstate commerce clause of the United States Constitution. Roberts even joined with the bare majority to strike down the duly approved and enacted initiative process when the state of California clearly defined marriage as between one man and one woman.
Furthermore, contrary to Roberts’ partisan assertion, Trump did not attack the independence of the judiciary, but rather he attacked its clearly un-independent, incessantly partisan, anti-constitutional record—and he’s right to do so. Unlike the unelected, unaccountable elites in our country, Trump says what many of us are thinking, and without reserve or recrimination.

Indeed, we have an Obama-nized judiciary, one which seeks to fundamentally transform this country, ignoring the Constitution and upending the civil republicanism envisioned by the Framers. Fortunately, President Trump has a more constitutionally conservative Senator majority at his disposal for the next years. This majority ensures the rapid confirmation of constitutionalist jurists who will not only slow down but reverse the judicial tyranny tearing our country apart. While conservatives await the timely retirement of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, they should welcome John Roberts’ removal. Trump is making America Great Again, but that includes making the Supreme Court Constitutional Again, a reform which the some of members defiantly resist.

"I Don't Have to Choose!" New Kids' Book Fights Transgender Lies with Truth

Ellie Klipp of MassResistance has written a wonderful children's book: "I Don't Have to Choose."

This message doesn't seem like a positive one, at first.

Isn't life all about making choices?

Yes, but those choices have to be geared toward making choices about things that can change.

Being born a boy or a girl--that is an immutable aspect of each person.

And the good news is that boys and girls do not have to choose!
