Canada's Campaign Life Coalition: Support Pro-Family Doctor

 We’ve decided to start a LifeFunder for Dr. Ann Gillies after the Superior Court of Ontario issued a ruling in May 2023 in which it ordered her to pay $5,000 in costs to the Bluewater District School Board (BDSB).

Dr. Gillies, a retired psychotherapist and trauma specialist who lives in the district, had sued the school board for censoring her delegation presentation to the board of Trustees, back in 2019. She had planned to object to “allowing the LGBT flag to be flown at our schools in June” along with the teaching of harmful transgender ideology in schools.

In the censored presentation that Trustees didn’t allow her to make, Dr. Gillies stated, in part:

“Transgender children don’t exist – this term was brought into being by a coalition of pressure groups and political activists. It is NOT a scientific or medical term.”

“We have a moral obligation to open transgender doctrine to critical scrutiny. We stand in solidarity with biology, human design, physical reality, health and moralism. As parents and concerned citizens we politely ask that you do not support the harmful transgender ideology by allowing the LGBT flag to be flown at our schools in June.”

Campaign Life Coalition fully supports the message that Dr. Gillies wanted to present at the Board of Trustees. It is one of scientific truth and genuine compassion which seeks to protect children from an ideology that can result in the amputation of perfectly healthy body parts.

We appreciate her being a Christian witness to a morally-dulled culture, and for bringing her significant clinical experience and research in the area of human sexuality to enlighten the Bluewater school trustees.

Public school boards have an obligation to be open to public input at public meetings, on matters of concern to the parents and taxpayers of the board. Dr. Gillies felt it was a violation of both her constitutional rights, and the board’s obligation to listen to public concerns.

Sadly, the politically correct judge sided with the school board, ruling that her presentation could be harmful to “trans” children.

Can you believe the insanity of that assertion?

Here we have a retired professional psychologist who is trying to protect children from sterilizing puberty blockers, genital mutilation and the mental health problems associated with going down this path, and she is told by a judge that her presentation could be harmful to trans youth?

It’s outrageous.

We need to support courageous people like Dr. Gillies. When they stick their necks out for the cause of life and family, they deserve to be supported by our community.

For that reason, we’ve set up a LifeFunder crowdfunding campaign at www.lifefunder.com/StandWithAnn. It has a $5,000 goal which she can use to cover the court-ordered penalty, or to appeal the ruling. Either way, we don’t want to leave Dr. Gillies holding the bag alone, when trying to defend our children… and our freedom of speech.

Call to Action, California MassResistance: Stop LGBT Bills in Sacramento, Term 2020

Dear California MassResistance Members and other pro-family allies.

I know that the "Stay At Home" or the "Shelter in Place" orders are a pain.

However, don't let this slowdown or shutdown get you down.

This Coronavirus problem is solving a number of problems which have lingered in our culture for a long time. So many people have been overrunning and dishonoring multiple boundaries, but the natural order is being restored, even if it meant forcing people to slow down and stop:

So many pro-gay programs and movements are getting shut down left and right, as well. This is the very brake that was needed to put a stop to so much for this perversity.

Even the California State Legislature has gone into recess! The state of California has two constitutional deadlines which they cannot ignore: June for the budget, and August 31 for the end of the legislative term. The state legislature cannot get around those deadlines, which makes it all the more likely that they will not be able to hear the scores of really bad bills coming down the pike.

However, Assembly staffers are still taking phone calls, and we have this great opportunity to overwhelm the offices of two key lawmakers and stop two really bad bills.

1. SB 145, otherwise known as "Sex Offender Amnesty" or "Pedophile Amnesty"

This bill is as bad as it sounds. In spite of the really snide remarks that I had received from State Senator Scott Weiner's office, this legislation really does amount to allowing adults to prey on kids and avoid the sex-offender registry. Yes, indeed.

1. This bill protects pedophiles and would allow them to reoffend.
2. This endangers children’s lives. Example: A 21-year-old who sleeps with a 13-year-old will face no requirement to register. REALLY!
3. Ironically, this bill proves that LGBT lifestyles are fraught with sexual deviance and perversion. We need to stop promoting these destructive behaviors.

Please contact Asm. Lorena Gonzalez' office. She is the Chair of the Assembly Appropriations Committee, which is holding this bill for the time being. A hearing should be scheduled in the middle of May, but we can stop that from happening!

2. AB 2826, or Gender-Confused Department Stores for All

This is Evan Low's latest terrible, pro-LGBT bill. This legislation would require department stores with more than 500 employees to phase out boys and girls sections for toys, clothing, and other goods.

1. This legislation is a complete waste of time, ignoring the more pressing needs of the state of California.

2. Phasing out the differences between male and female is child abuse. 

3. This proposal is dangerous to the health and well-being of children. Boys' and girls' clothes are distinctly different, and must be presented that way.
