Big Labor Stealing Money From Caregivers

The National Right to Work Foundation scored an epic victory before the United States Supreme Court following the ruling on Janus vs. AFSMCE.

Unfortunately, Big Labor, especially in the public sector, will not concede until freedom fighters have won every battle that they can on every level.

There is so much graft, waste, and corruption in Washington DC, and Big Labor is still taking big advantages of all this largesse.

Medicaid funding is meant for the in-home caregivers. For years, however, the Service Employees International Union was skimming the money for itself, when the funding needed to go to the caregivers and their patients.

This is wrong.

We need to step up and stop all of it!

Dear Arthur,

I'm furious.

Medicaid is supposed to be for those who need it most -- not Big Labor fat-cats.

But since 2014, over $1 billion of Medicaid funds have been siphoned from disabled individuals and their care providers and stuffed into the political coffers of union bosses instead.

All because the Obama Administration -- as a gift to their political backers -- rammed through a new Medicaid regulation.

The good news is, the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare (CMS) is considering a rule to put an end to Big Labor's and the Obama Administration's scheme.

But the deadline to weigh in is tomorrow.

That's why I'm delivering comments from citizens like you before CMS' deadline tomorrow. Will you add your name to the top of the stack of comments?

The law is clear -- taxpayer-funded Medicaid money must go directly to healthcare providers, many of whom are caring for their own family members in their own homes.

But that didn't stop the Obama Administration from skirting the law and helping Big Labor pocket over $100 million a year for their political allies.

That's over $1 billion in taxpayer money that was intended for the care of disabled individuals, and instead fuels union bosses' political conquests.

And with the midterms right around the corner, you know union bosses are scheming to thwart our efforts by flooding the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare with comments of their own.

That's why it's vital you speak out now by signing a comment to be submitted to the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare (CMS) in support of their proposed rule to put an end to Big Labor's illegal skim.

The National Right to Work Foundation has been on the front lines fighting to halt the scheme.

You see, the Foundation's U.S. Supreme Court victory in Harris v. Quinn declared it unconstitutional for states to force home care providers paid through Medicaid programs to pay union fees in 2014.

But despite the ruling by the highest court in the land, union bosses are still reaping the rewards of their political privileges.

In Riffey v. Rauner, the Foundation has been fighting through layers of courts on behalf of over 80,000 victims of an Illinois Medicaid skim to seek refunds of union fees...fees that shouldn't even have been seized in the first place.

And even more care providers in nine more states are trapped in similar schemes.

The Foundation has been advocating for these care providers for years.

In 2017, the Foundation sent a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services to bring their attention to the issue.

And earlier this year, I personally raised the issue with Trump Administration officials at the White House.

Right now, you and I have an opportunity to finally hold Big Labor accountable for its schemes.

The CMS is proposing to end the exception that turned a blind eye to Big Labor's Medicaid skimming.

The new rule would make it clear that states cannot allow union bosses to intercept tax dollars intended to care for those in need.

Your Foundation will soon file comments to support the CMS’ reforms.

And by adding your support, you can stand with the Foundation to halt union bosses’ abuses and bring an end to the Medicaid skim.

But you must act now.

The deadline to submit public comments is TOMORROW -- Monday, August 13th.

So please, click here and add your name to this comment:

End the ongoing and illegal diversion of Medicaid funds from personal care providers. Rescind the exception that currently allows Medicaid money to be siphoned off to fund politically powerful, private third parties such as unions. To stop the abuse of taxpayer dollars, issue a rule making it clear that Medicaid funds must go directly to the care of disabled individuals as intended. Take enforcement actions to end the states' unlawful policies and ensure that Medicaid funds are paid directly to personal care givers, not diverted into unions' political coffers.

This comment, along with the names of the thousands of supporters choosing to speak for justice, will be submitted at the deadline.

Remember that the deadline is TOMORROW, so you must add your name at once.

After you've added your name, I hope you will consider chipping in with a tax-deductible contribution of $10 or more.

Your contribution will allow me to contact even more Right to Work supporters and help provide the means to litigate cases like Riffey v. Rauner for home care providers to reclaim their unconstitutionally-seized forced dues.

But most importantly, please add your name to support the CMS' proposed rule against the Obama Administration's ruling and to put an end to Big Labor's Medicaid scheme.

Thank you,

Mark Mix
President, National Right to Work

P.S. A billion-dollar Medicaid skim scheme has been diverting taxpayer funds from disabled individuals and their care providers and feeding the money into Big Labor's political warchest.

Before tomorrow's deadline, please add your name to a comment supporting the CMS' proposed rule to end the scheme and ensure care providers receive their intended money.

After you've added your name, I hope you will consider chipping in with a tax-deductible contribution of $10 or more.

Right To Work Coming to Delaware?

I have been following the Right-to-Work trend of the last four years.

One of the biggest disappointments that I came across took place in New Hampshire.

The state has a GOP trifecta, and the governor Chris Sununu ran on a platform of right-to-work.

Yet the Republican majority in the state house had diminished during Election 2016. The right-to-work bill passed in the state senate, but in the House enough Republicans voted against it along with Democrats to kill the proposal for the session.

One can only hope that for Election 2018, Republicans will gain seats in the state house and then pass the legislation.

In other states which have not enacted right-to-work, state leaders have sought other means to give workers some freedom whether to join a union or not.

Governor Bruce Rauner of Illinois issued an executive order to protect public workers from forced unionism. The major union leaders immediately filed a lawsuit, which has worked its way up to the Supreme Court.

Governor Paul LePage of Maine enacted a budget and contract with one of the public employee unions. In the contract, the workers must be granted the opportunity to opt of the union and payment of dues. In a sense, LePage was finally able to get a form of right-to-work enacted in his state. Not perfect, but a compromise which inches towards worker fairness and equity.

Now, it looks like another blue state, Delaware, is looking towards enacting right-to-work provision at the local level.

SEAFORD, Delaware—One Delaware county is poised to change its economic climate, with a council member prepared to fight for a right-to-work ordinance introduced Tuesday.

“This is not about ruffling political feathers, but is about the status quo no longer being tolerable for Sussex County and … the need for private sector jobs,” said Councilman Rob Arlett in an interview with The Daily Signal.

“Actual real wages have decreased in Delaware,” added Arlett. “Why should that be OK?”

Right-to-work laws prohibit private sector employers from entering into agreements that make union membership and payment of union dues a condition of employment.

Later in the article, the reporter indicated that legal challenges to local or county ordinance right-to-work initiatives have failed, which would allow jurisdictions like Sandoval County, New Mexico to pursue a similar process as Sussex County, Delaware.

This is great news for the Freedom to Work movement.

These reforms could also signal another necessary blow to Big Government labor unions and the regressive leftist agenda still holding states and cities hostage all over the country. The last line of easy money for the diminishing Democratic Party has been Big Labor. With the end of forced unionism and coerced dues, you can expect the Progressive Left to lose even more ground in their hateful, anti-American culture wars.

Right To Work Foundation: Fighting for Workers and Their Rights

The Right-to-Work Foundation has racked up incredible victories all over the country, and now in the halls of power throughout Washington DC.

These victories are beyond incredible. Men and women forced into unions and forced to pay dues are getting their liberty and their money back.

They are taking more territory now, since Barack Obama has been pushed out office. The freedom to work policy has taken hold in 28 states, and they are working on targeting at least three more. Better yet, if the United States Supreme Court gets on board and strikes down forced union dues, reversing the destructive Abood decision, the shackles of labor abuses and forced unionsism will collapse all over the country.

Imagine the grassroots victories that will overwhelm the country when that happens!

In the meantime, the National Right to Work Foundation is going after continued labor abuses, especially in these newly established right-to-work states like West Virginia. Big Labor does not like that they are losing ground, that their political might is falling away.

They still try to bully individual laborers who do not want their hard-earned dollars pushed into corrupt political campaigns and causes which they do not support.

The legal challenges may be great, but the National Right to Work Foundation is taking them on.

To Worker Freedom and government of the people, for the people, and by the people.

Dear Arthur,

For the last eight years, Big Labor's high command counted on their allies in the Obama Administration to protect and expand their forced-dues power over rank-and-file workers.

No longer.

Now, with a new occupant in the White House -- plus new state Right to Work laws and a growing number of important Foundation victories in the courts -- things have been turned upside down for compulsory unionism advocates.

But after years of going toe-to-toe with the union bosses, you and I know the fight is far from over.

The fact is, with billions in forced-dues dollars at stake, opponents of forced unionism will face the full might of Big Labor's empire.

Today, you and I can expect the union bosses and their allies to:

***
Launch a counter-offensive in the courts to thwart any further attempt to limit Big Labor's forced-unionism power;
***
Move to kill or at least obstruct the appointment or nomination of anyone who dares to oppose Big Labor's compulsory unionism privileges; and
***
Set themselves up to retake the levers of power, using their multi-billion dollar political warchest.
Of course, thanks to Foundation-won Supreme Court precedents, union bosses cannot legally compel workers to pay dues towards Big Labor electioneering and lobbying.

But to have any teeth, the law must be vigorously enforced.

That's why your Foundation's proven free legal aid program is essential.

Take the case of Jeff Richmond, a truck driver from West Virginia.

At the behest of union officials, his employer gave him an ultimatum: Make "voluntary" contributions to Laborers Union Political Action Committees (PACs) or be fired.

Richmond stood by his convictions and refused to authorize the political contributions, so company officials literally sent him home.

Richmond sought help from the Right to Work Foundation, and staff attorneys charged into action.

As a result, the union bosses were sent a strong message, and Richmond won over $10,000 in back pay and refunded dues and fees.

Now, with so much on the line, you and I can expect Big Labor politicking to balloon over the next two years.

That's why it's vital you pitch in your most generous tax-deductible contribution today.

You see, your continuing support will help Foundation attorneys file federal lawsuits, FEC complaints and unfair labor practice charges to block union bosses from funneling workers' hard-earned wages into the coffers of their pet political candidates and causes.

So please make your most generous tax-deductible contribution today.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix
President, National Right to Work

P.S. It's clear the union bosses will unleash every weapon in their arsenal to regain power.

Your generous tax-deductible contribution today will enable the Foundation to continue to fight against Big Labor's use of forced dues for politics.

So please send your most generous tax-deductible contribution today.

Let's Get National Right-To-Work Passed ASAP!

Dear Arthur,

There is only one bill to end decades of forced unionism and its stranglehold on the wallets of working Americans -- the National Right to Work Act.

But the only way you and I will ever be able to force roll-call votes in Congress on the National Right to Work Act is to turn up the heat on the politicians.

That's why I recently started an all-out Cosponsor Blitz to ramp up our grassroots programs into high gear before Congress leaves on their August break.

You see, the more pro-freedom Americans you and I can identify and mobilize, the more grassroots pressure we can apply to wavering politicians to take action on the National Right to Work Act.

More grassroots pressure means more cosponsors, and maximizing the number of cosponsors is critical to ultimately force roll-call votes.

That's why I set a deadline for myself and my staff, and reached out to you for help to raise the funds necessary to mobilize 16,000 new grassroots supporters in each targeted district to help add 22 new cosponsors in the next 45 days.

Arthur, the deadline for meeting this goal was midnight last night.

But this isn't the end, Arthur. I've made the decision to extend the deadline through Sunday, July 30th.

You see, thanks to a generous contribution from of one of the Committee's best supporters, I can offer you a special matching grant for this fundraising program.

Until we hit our new deadline on Sunday, every donation you give will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, by the contribution from a generous Committee supporter, DOUBLING the impact of your gift!

This special extension means that if you haven't yet had the chance, there's still time to chip in -- and thanks to this special matching grant, you can do more than ever!

Even if you've already chipped in, I hope you'll go the extra mile and make a second contribution to the Cosponsor Blitz. This program is that important.

Don't let this opportunity go to waste. Please click here to chip in with a generous contribution of $10 or $20.

Arthur, your Committee has a battle-proven plan to identify and mobilize 16,000 new pro-freedom Americans in each targeted district to put pressure on vulnerable members of Congress and demand they cosponsor the National Right to Work Act.

And once we maximize the number of cosponsors, then we can ultimately push for up-or-down roll-call votes in both the House and the Senate.

But we cannot make any progress without your support.

And that's why it's so important you take advantage of this special matching grant.

Every generous contribution you make will have twice the impact, Arthur.

But to make this work, I need your response by Sunday.

Won't you please chip in immediately before the deadline?

With a fully-funded Cosponsor Blitz, your Committee will be able to run hard-hitting campaigns -- including email, Facebook, and targeted mailing campaigns -- designed to put pressure on vulnerable Congressmen, demanding they cosponsor the National Right to Work Act.

These mobilization tactics have a proven track record.

But without the full amount, I'm worried that our efforts won't be nearly as effective -- delaying real progress on the National Right to Work Act!

I cannot stress the necessity of this fund enough. Please contribute a generous donation of at least $10 today.

I know I can count on you.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix, President
National Right to Work Committee

P.S. I've decided to offer a special extension on this National Right to Work Act Cosponsor Blitz. The new deadline is Sunday, July 30th.

But even more importantly, thanks to the one of the Committee's most generous supporters, I can offer you a special matching grant.

Every donation you give will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, doubling your pro-life impact!

Don't let this opportunity go to waste. Please click here to chip in with a generous contribution of $10 or $20.

More Winning for the Right-To-Work Movement: Trump's NLRB Nominees Moving Forward

I love getting these eblasts/newsletter updates from pro-liberty associations fighting to protect our rights.

The Right to Work Movement is crucial, and they are following every aspect of Trump's agenda to see through the best reforms and rulings for all workers.

Check out the latest victory:

That was brutal, Arthur.

The United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee just concluded their first confirmation hearing for William Emanuel and Marvin Kaplan.

William Emanuel

Union-label Senators Al Franken and Elizabeth Warren barked out every talking point spoon-fed to them by their union boss friends on the Hill.

That's because union bosses know their Obama-Big Labor stranglehold over the National Labor Relations Board will come to an end if President Trump's two nominees are confirmed.

But as I explain below, time's running out to confirm Emanuel and Kaplan before the summer recess.

And every day the NLRB remains under siege by the Obama-Big Labor majority is another opportunity for union bosses to implement forced-unionism into every corner of the economy.

So please, sign your petition to Committee Chairman Lamar Alexander, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and your U.S. Senators, urging them to confirm President Trump's nominees right away.

After you've signed your petition, please pitch in $10, $25 or more to help your Committee defeat the union bosses and end the Obama-Big Labor stranglehold over the NLRB.

Mark Mix

------Begin forwarded message------

Our backs are up against the wall, Arthur.

The U.S. Senate adjourns for summer recess in just a few short weeks.

But two of President Trump vital nominees are STILL waiting to be confirmed to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)!

You see, political experts agree that William Emanuel and Marvin Kaplan would join current Chairman, Philip Miscimarra, and effectively end the Obama-Big Labor stranglehold over the NLRB.

Big Labor's allies in the Senate, like Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren, use every trick to slow the confirmation process to a crawl.

The truth is, the fate of Kaplan's and Emanuel's confirmation lies in the hands of Senator Mitch McConnell.

As the Senate Majority Leader, McConnell controls the floor schedule and when these votes will occur.

So it's up to him to schedule the vote to end the Obama-Big Labor reign on the NLRB.

From gutting hard-fought Supreme Court decisions, to greenlighting "ambush elections" for union bosses, the Obama-Big Labor NLRB has done everything in its power to mandate forced-unionism in the workplace.

And every day the Obama-Big Labor NLRB remains in power is another day they can ram through suffocating new regulations and handouts to union bosses.

Simply put, Majority Leader McConnell needs to move quickly and schedule a vote before the Senate goes on recess.

That's why it's vital you sign your petition to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Chairman Lamar Alexander, and your U.S. Senators right away.

Meanwhile, Big Labor's henchmen are descending on the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions with orders to derail the confirmation process.

That's because the committee is hosting the first confirmation hearing for President Trump's nominees this Thursday.

...So your immediate action is crucial -- now more than ever -- in the fight to put an end to Obama's stranglehold on the NLRB.

Even though it's been over 170 days since President Trump took office, Obama's bureaucrats are STILL running the NLRB.

Corrupting the NLRB into yet another organizing tool for Big Labor, the Obama-Big Labor stacked NLRB sided against workers and business owners alike -- crippling economic recovery.

The good news is, all of this can be reversed by ending the Obama-Big Labor majority on the NLRB.

And that starts with confirming President Trump's nominees to the NLRB.

But as we've seen, Big Labor and their political allies still have clout.

Not only did they force President Trump's first pick for Department of Labor Secretary to withdraw after it was apparent there weren't enough votes for his confirmation...

...But Vice-President Mike Pence was even forced to cast a tie-breaking vote to confirm another nominee opposed by Big Labor.

In order to reverse and repair eight years of damage wrought by the Obama-Big Labor NLRB, EACH of President Trump's nominees needs to be confirmed right away.

That's why it's vital you:

1.
Sign your petition to your U.S. Senators and HELP Chairman Lamar Alexander, urging them to waste no time in confirming President Trump's nominees to the NLRB;
2.
Forward this email to every like-minded friend and family member you know so your Committee can counter Big Labor's efforts to derail the confirmation process;
3.
Pitch in $10, $25 or more after you've signed your petition and forwarded this email, to fuel your Committee's state-of-the-art digital petition drive.

It's because of the efforts of Right to Work supporters like you -- demanding President Trump's nominees to be confirmed immediately -- that the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) is having their first confirmation hearing Thursday.

Which means your Committee is in overdrive to keep the pressure on the members of the HELP Committee.

But the key to ending Obama's stranglehold on the NLRB and confirming President Trump's nominees lies in the hands of Majority Leader McConnell.

That's why your generous support is vital.

So after you've signed your petition and forwarded this email to your friends and family members, please pitch in $10, $25 or more to end Obama's stranglehold on the NLRB.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix
President, National Right to Work

P.S. With the Senate's summer recess right around the corner, our backs are up against the wall.

That's why it's vital Mitch McConnell immediately schedules a vote to confirm President Trump's NLRB nominees.

But Big Labor's henchmen are descending on the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Thursday with orders to derail the confirmation hearing.

That's why it's vital you sign your petition to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Chairman Lamar Alexander, and your U.S. Senators right away.

With such a crucial confirmation battle against Big Labor, I have to ask for more than your signed petition.

Please forward this email to your friends and family members -- asking them to do the same -- and pitch in $10, $25 or more to help your Committee combat Big Labor.

Right to Work Foundation is Taking on the AFL-CIO

See what the Right to Work Foundation is taking on now.

Big Labor cannot stand the idea of working men and women choosing whether they join a union or not.

Even when duly-elected representatives expand their liberties, labor unions insist on fighting back.

Check out what RTW is doing to stop this!

Dear Arthur,

"Shame on the AFL-CIO."

Those are the words of Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin in response to AFL-CIO union bosses lawsuit against the Commonwealth's new Right to Work law.

A law that has freed thousands of Kentuckians from the shackles of Big Labor and has already resulted in huge economic growth.

Just days ago, Braidy Industries announced it would be building a $1.3 billion plant in Kentucky which would bring 550 permanent jobs along with countless numbers of construction jobs.

The Wall Street Journal summed it up in their headline: "The Mill That Right to Work Built." In the article they report the Ashland, Kentucky plant never have been built if Governor Bevin hadn't signed Kentucky's Right to Work bill into law in January.

But you see Arthur, union bosses could not care less about the jobs and increased economic opportunity Right to Work is bringing to Kentucky.

They are only concerned with restoring their forced dues powers over workers, so they can threaten Kentucky workers: Pay up or be fired.

The National Right to Work Foundation has seen this game before with Foundation staff attorneys defending Right to Work laws across the country, most recently in Michigan, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.

That is why the Foundation immediately set up a special legal task force to defend the law even before the ink was dry on Governor Bevin's signature on the bill.

And now, with Big Labor's lawsuit to overturn the Bluegrass State's new Right to Work law just as Kentucky is reaping the economic benefits, staff attorneys for your Foundation are already preparing their response to the AFL-CIO's lawsuit

Your continued support allows the Foundation to continue to defend state Right to Work laws across the country while at the same time defending individual workers from union boss abuse.

Thank you for all you do for worker freedom.

Sincerely,

Mark Mix
President, National Right to Work

The National Right-to-Work Foundation Tweeted My Article

This is exciting.

I have been connected with the Right-to-Work Foundation as a private citizen and a forced member of a union.

They had staffers and a lawyer who helped me to know my rights as a citizen, and to what extent a collective bargaining unit can force me to join and pay dues.

I tried to seek a religious exemption, or at least divert the dues to a non-profit of my choice,

I was not able to.

But the future is looking bright for all workers, and unions will actually get better because they will be more responsive to the needs of their members.

Today, Townhall.com published my article praising Kentucky's decision to become a right-to-work state. This victory was particularly outstanding because the Republicans in the Bluegrass State actively campaigned on passing this reform if elected.

The Republicans won the State House for the first time in nearly 90 years.

One of the first laws they passed? A three-bill package which enacted right-to-work, paycheck protection for workers, and repeal of prevailing wage laws.

Check out the article here.

I share it with the National Right to Work Foundation Twitter Feed.

And they shared it!

I can't wait for this number to climb to 29, and in four years all 50!

More Reasons for a Happy New Year: Big Labor Thugs Cutting Back

Two weeks ago, I wrote about the imminent bankruptcy of the Service Employees International Union ... in Texas.

I wish the California branch was going bust, too, but that did not happen.

Or is the head of the serpent about to go bust, too?

CBS/Bloomberg news reported the following drastic finanical blow hitting the Purple Taxpayer Eating Machine:

The Service Employees International Union, perhaps the single most politically powerful labor union in the country, is drastically cutting its budget in the wake of president-elect Donald Trump’s election victory.

Great news! To see the demise of public sector unions, that was my biggest reason for supporting Scot Walker for President first.

If Donald Trump can deliver the same results, and right away, I will be more than happy with is Presidency. There is no other interest group that I know of which enables illegal immigration and the amnesty agenda more than labor unions.

Stop Big Labor, build the big, beautiful wall, and watch We the People take back our government.

Mary Kay Henry

According to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg Businessweek, SEIU president Mary Kay Henry said the union must “plan for a 30% reduction” in its budget by the start of 2018. That number includes a 10 percent budget cut by the start of 2017.

Ouch! The labor unions are running out of money--our money!

It's about time, that's what I say!

The massive SEIU currently has an annual budget of $300 million. It is America’s second largest union, and represents nearly 2 million workers in the public and private sector.

At least the larger media conglomerates are reporting something about the blowblack from We the People against the wasteful, profligate labor unions. Are they starting to realize that if they want to be treated seriously, they need to report the truth rather than cheer-lead for the Left?

According to Henry, the cuts are a direct result of Mr. Trump’s victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton in November’s election, along with the GOP’s continued control of Congress. With Mr. Trump and his Senate Republican allies poised to nominate dozens of judges, including a new Supreme Court justice, the SEIU fears its ability to collect dues from members will soon be significantly curtailed.

You bet it will!

No question about it. The biggest reason I was so crushed about the death of Justice Scalia, aside from the fact that  he was one of the wisest as well as most outspoken jurists on the Supreme Court, is that his death would delay a welcome ruling for Friedrichs v. California. The teacher from South Orange County was taking the lead on ending forced union dues against individual employees, arguing that such takings violated the First Amendment.

Point of fact, it does. A new Justice and a new opportunity to stop extortion against American workers.

The SEIU recently spearheaded the “Fight for $15” movement that organized workers behind a higher minimum wage. Numerous Democratic lawmakers endorsed the proposal for a $15 minimum wage, including Sen. Bernie Sanders, the Democratic presidential primary runner-up. The SEIU backed Clinton in the primary.

What they really endorsed was a policy to put more people out of work, to force businesses to close and/or force consumers to spend more money to buy the same products. I visited a new grocery store in South Gate, and there are now fewer employees because of the high labor costs. The whole store model runs on hiring fewer employees.

Among the biggest worries for the SEIU and other labor unions is the possibility that Republican judicial appointees will expand “Right to Work” laws nationwide, which would prohibit unions in both the public and private sector from demanding their members pay dues.

Even if the courts do not expand right to work, the states already are! Kentucky, Missouri, and New Hampshire are GOP trifectas, and right-to-work is at the top of their list.

“Right to Work” laws have already proven to be a serious blow to labor union’s ability to flex political muscle in states like Wisconsin and Michigan, two longtime Democratic bastions that voted for Mr. Trump last month.

That is exactly what I have been talking about! Exactly!

“Because the far right will control all three branches of the federal government, we will face serious threats to the ability of working people to join together in unions,” Henry, the SEIU president, wrote in the internal memo.

Isn't it great! Scott Walker deserves the bulk of the credit, since he invited the international hordes of Big Labor into his state, and beat them down three times in four years. His victories ensured that more states would enact labor reforms, to make consumers and taxpayers the leading force in their state and cities.

“These threats require us to make tough decisions that allow us to resist these attacks and to fight forward despite dramatically reduced resources.”

How about just shutting down entirely?

Final Reflection

Labor unions are learning that their free ride on other people's money is coming to a dramatic, necessary, and yet late end.

These reforms could have happened ten or twenty years ago. Perhaps Republicans starting paying attention as soon as Barack Obama was elected, and Congress was toying with passage of card-check, which would have removed federal oversight over labor elections, then shut down individual employee opposition to a collective bargaining unit.

Obama's arrogance and overreach ensured that Republicans would sweep state legislatures across the country. Then the Right-to-Work Movement pounced to enact necessary reforms. Wisconsin was the first major battleground. What an exciting time for conservatives it turned out to be.

Check out the Wisconsin State Senate maneuvering here:

Then the Wisconsin State Assembly here:

It's important to note how desperate the union-bought Democrats were, and how they through temper tantrums like little children who did not get their way.

This kind of rioting within the state legislature was a point of distinct concern for other states who wanted to avoid the harangue within and the protests without.

Oregon Resists Harris v. Illinois -- National Right To Work Foundation Fights Back

Every human being has the right to work.

They deserve to exercise very resource, every opportunity to serve without being forced to pay a bribe to work.

The United States Supreme Court ruled in Harris v. Illinois that homecare workers receiving money do not have to pay union dues to the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

Now, are unions and the union-friendly states complying with this ruling?

Not in Oregon!

Check out this interview:

Reflection

What are key takeaways in this discussion?

Labor unions think that they are above the law.

Witness alll that state leaders in Oregon have refused to demand compliance, but have allowed SEIU to continue stealing money from homecare workers in the form of forced union dues.

The union has the sole and self-motivated (as if!) responsibility to inform their workers on what to do.

Of course, when it came to forcing a redefinination of marriage onto the entire country, state employees were forced to comply, or end up in jail.

Witness what happened to Kim Davis.

When will the state of Oregon start enforcing the court's ruling on the SEIU in the Beaver State?

This arrogance from labor unions exemplifies every reason why we need to end the twin entitlements of forced unionism and coerced dues against American workers.
