President Trump and AG Sessions: Do Your Job!

Tom Hanks has a sense of humor, and he’s not that bad an actor. One of my favorite lines from him comes from the movie “Turner and Hooch.” Playing a police officer solving a contentious murder mystery, he struggles to raise a slobbery bloodhound that really pushes his limits. At one point, he shouts: “What do you want me to do? Make you a margarita?” A statement laced with humor and frustration, that’s how I feel right now about the Trump Administration and their stunning tardiness on cracking down on California’s latest illegal alien lawlessness.

In his unprecedented speech to the California Peace Officers' Association, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a lawsuit against the state of California for rampant violation of federal immigration laws. He cited three specific statutes that his administration was targeting an array of sanctuary state laws which have barred local and state law enforcement from sharing critical information about illegal alien criminals under lock and key.

Hey, thanks Jeff. Really. But it’s not making enough of a difference right now.

First of all, Libby Schaaf, the corrupt mayor of Oakland who cares more about coddling criminals than protecting law-abiding, taxpaying citizens, has doubled down and defended her obstruction of justice in informing a wide swatch of illegals in the Bay Area that ICE was coming. I am glad that he specifically called out Schaaf in front of the Sacramento area police officers association. “How dare you?”

But do we really expect these demonic Democrats to care? One has to wonder if Republican Congressmen in Ante-Bellum days asked Democrats the same question when they were defending slavery up to the civil war. The entire identity of the Democratic Party then was invested in protecting the denigration of black people for cheap labor and easy votes. Nothing has changed, except now Democrats want illegal aliens with their cheap labor and unlawful votes to keep them in power. Their whole life is based on lawless daring.

And it’s getting worse.

Jose Garcia-Zarate, the illegal alien who murdered—yes, murdered—Kate Steinle, acquitted by a jury of left-wing Millennials and Western guilt-tripped technocrats, has filed a lawsuit against the federal government for “vindictive prosecution.” The audacity! Prosecution will tend toward vindictiveness, I suppose, when a criminal repeatedly breaks into our country, violates warrants, steals a firearm from a federal official, then murders an innocent American in broad daylight. It reminds me of a proverb: “Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.” (Proverbs 30:20) Replace “adulterous woman with “illegal alien”, of course, although we could point to Libby Schaaf, who betrayed her oath and her constituents to protect criminals.

A lawsuit is nice, and a rousing speech is great, too, but their lawlessness has not ceased.

Not to be outdone by the corrupt mayor and the litigious illegal alien, California State Senate President Pro Tem (now Emeritus, but still a pain in the ass) Kevin De Leon—who is challenging Dianne Feinstein for US Senate—just appointed an illegal alien to a state commission. This illegal alien, Lizbeth Mateo, crowed about this appointment in two brazen, sickening tweets:

 “Oh how sweet! Like at this young lady with a baby? She’s a hard-working immigrant taking a job that no American would take.” Whatever. This is all immoral, unconstitutional, desperate nonsense.

Here’s all that really matters: Lizzy broke into this country, stole an education from American students using our taxpayer dollars, and is now a lawyer. An illegal legal? Yes, that now exists in California. This is not the first illegal legal, either: Sergio Garcia actually filed a lawsuit which went all the way to the California State Supreme Court. Following their ruling, illegal alien Garcia was able to apply for a professional law license. How exactly can an illegal alien dispense legal advice? The best advice for him to give would be to himself, and to leave the country.

And of course, who can forget the two illegal aliens—Julian Zatarain and Francisco Medina—who are sitting on two city commissions to this day in Huntington Park, CA? For nearly two years, We the People Rising and other local activist groups pounded the Huntington Park city council for two years. We filed complaints with the LA County District Attorney’s Office, the FBI, and the US Attorney’s Office, California Central Division. When Trump came into office, we trusted that enforcement would be the rule, not the exception.

Yes, ICE raided the Bicycle Gardens Casino and has rounded up hundreds of California’s illegal aliens. Yet fellow residents still ask me when ICE will sweep their cities. “Where is ICE?” asked seasoned pro-enforcement activist Lupe Moreno asked earlier this year in the heart of Santa Ana, the same city where Congressman Lou Correa attempted to host an illegal alien town hall teaching illegals how to circumvent our immigration laws.

President Trump, what do you want me to do? Make you a margarita? Lawsuits are nice; cutting federal grant funding to outlaw cities is nice, too. We need arrests. We need perp walks. We need enforcement of the law.

I refuse to settle for “To Hell With California”. California is already a hell-hole of missed deadlines, bad priorities, and left-wing inanity. But it does not have to stay that way. You need to do your job, President and Attorney General!

Hell Freezes Over: Left-Wing LA Times Condemns Sanctuary City Mayor for ICE Tip-Off

The Los Angeles Times issued the following editorial.

It is staggering that even the left-wing LA Times defended President Trump and his ICE raids against illegal aliens in California.

The editorial board also slammed Oakland mayor Libby Schaaf for tipping off violent criminals in the Bay Area.

It didn't turn out well for her, and it looks as though she will face a criminal indictment very soon.

It's one thing to oppose Trump's policies. It's another to undercut the law

The Trump presidency has, to put it mildly, challenged conventional norms of American society and governance. The president's intemperate tweets, irresponsible actions and extreme policy pronouncements have raised the hackles of pretty much everybody left of center, and a fair share of those on the other side. They also have engendered a broad backlash — a vaguely defined "resistance" — that has been trying to find its footing in the months since the inauguration. Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it doesn't.

Actually, President Trump is giving Americans of all backgrounds hope.

Not only is he working to Make America Great Again, but he is setting the ground for all of us to keep fighting the good fight to ensure that we continue to Make American Constitutional Again.

Which bring us to Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, who last weekend issued a public statement, based on "multiple credible sources" she didn't identify, that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were about to stage raids in the Bay Area. Her heart may have been in the right place in seeking to warn those at risk of incarceration and possible deportation. But some of those targeted by ICE agents could very well have been people with violent criminal pasts who can make no legitimate argument for avoiding deportation. And regardless, tipping off her community that immigration officers were about to enforce duly adopted federal immigration laws crosses a line that ought not to be crossed.

All of the people targeted in the ICE raid were criminals. They were in the country illegally. They were criminals on other levels, too, because ICE is rounding up murderer and gang-bangers of all backgrounds, too. They have "no legitimate argument for avoiding deportation."

Bingo, and Libby chose to protect those violent thugs. Not only do these corrupt Democrats stand with illegal aliens, they stand with violent criminals who harm our communities.

We agree that state and local officials should not involve themselves in enforcing federal immigration laws. The role of state, county and local police is to enforce criminal laws and protect communities. It works against that mission for them to be viewed by members of immigrant communities as just another arm of immigration enforcement. As a society, we need everyone, regardless of legal status, to report crimes, stand as witnesses when necessary and otherwise engage in the criminal justice system as warranted. But local officials should not actively impede or interfere with immigration enforcement for the same reason they should not aid in rounding up the undocumented — it's not their responsibility. Further, if we want people to engage with the legal system, trying to subvert lawful enforcement of immigration codes sends the opposite message. Local subversion of federal rules would be justified in only the most dire circumstances.

The Los Angeles Times is way, way off on the argument that state officials should not be working with ICE. They have no idea what law enforcement is for, then. We need all levels of law enforcement working together to provide full-on public safety, and that includes getting rid of illegal aliens. The rampant lawlessness overwhelming local communities

In a related vein, Los Angeles labor leader Maria Elena Durazo, who is running to succeed Democrat Kevin de León in the state Senate representing parts of Los Angeles, has posted campaign billboards declaring, "Disobey Trump." But it's not clear what that means. Disobey in what way? Defy federal law? Certainly there are Trump policies — OK, nearly all of his policies — that deserve strong political opposition and pushback, but it's dangerous ground to declare that because one disagrees with a federal (or even state) law that it should be disobeyed.

I just wrote an expose post on Maria Durazo. She is pushing sedition and treason. This woman has no business serving in the state legislature, just as the mayor of Oakland should be arrested right now for obstruction of justice.

There are, of course, laws that must be opposed and, yes, disobeyed, because they are morally repugnant. The Fugitive Slave Act, which required non-slave states to cooperative with slave-catchers seeking runaways, was one, as noted by Harold Meyerson on The Times' op-ed page Thursday. Jim Crow laws that undercut the fundamental rights and liberties of African Americans are also examples (such as the ordinance that required blacks to sit at the back of the buses in Montgomery, Ala.). But the federal immigration codes the resisters oppose aren't inherently inhumane or morally repugnant, despite the Trump administration's enforcement policies. Nations have a right to protect their borders and set rules about who may come into the country.

Wow! Did the Los Angeles Times just write that?

I will quote it for everyone a second time, in case you missed it:

I want everyone who has the time and resources to post and repost these comments.

To press the point further, were the president to live up to his own promise to "take care of" those covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program by reviving the protections, would the resisters say no, just because the initiative came from Trump? If Trump were to overrule Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke and restore the now-shrunken borders of the Bears Ears National Monument in Utah, would the resisters reject the new boundaries? There is more than semantics at work here. By all means, fight Trump at the polls and in the courts with every legal tool at hand, but to advocate disobeying properly enacted laws and regulations is more likely to make the situation worse than better.

Congressman Brad Sherman admitted that he opposes everything that President Trump does because ... his voters expect him to. This is insanity! Democrats don't care about

The Resistance has turned into the Falangists, the socialist rebels who overthrew the Spanish constitutional monarchy in the 1930s, who then ushered in the fascist Francisco Franco.

The Brown Supremacy movement doesn't even care about the illegals whom they claim to care for. Even the Los Angeles Times has to admit that the pro-illegal elected officials in the state ... are endangering everyone's lives.

This is really serious. When the left-wing propagandists have to signal their concern, you know that a movement is in trouble.

The arrests included 115 who "had prior felony convictions for serious or violent offenses, such as child sex crimes, weapons charges and assault, or had past convictions for significant or multiple misdemeanors." The numbers might have been greater, but for the intervention of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, who tweeted out a warning of the impending raid, tipping off others who might have been caught. Acting ICE Director Tom Homan said on "Fox & Friends" that Schaaf’s warning meant that there are roughly 800 illegal immigrants they were unable to locate. "What she did is no better than a gang lookout yelling 'police' when a police cruiser comes in the neighborhood, except she did it to a whole community. This is beyond the pale," he said. An ICE spokesperson gave Fox News a list of the types of crimes for which those arrested in the raid had been convicted. They cover a range of bad behavior: aggravated assault, murder, hit-run, lewd acts with a minor, burglary, cruelty toward a child, indecent exposure, domestic violence, drug trafficking, battery, sex offenses and false imprisonment. ICE pointed, in particular, to the case of Armando Nunez-Salgado, a Mexican gang member who had been deported four times and had convictions including assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, hit-and-run causing injury and evasion of a police officer. In a statement, ICE also said that recent legislation has hurt the agency’s ability to enforce immigration laws. “Recent legislation has negatively impacted ICE operations in California by nearly eliminating all cooperation and communication with our law enforcement partners in the state by prohibiting local law enforcement from contracting with the federal government to house detainees,” the statement said. “Ultimately, efforts by local politicians have shielded removable criminal aliens from immigration enforcement and created another magnet for more illegal immigration, all at the expense of the safety and security of the very people it purports to protect,” it said. The White House called Mayor Schaaf’s actions “outrageous” and said the Department of Justice was conducting a review. “I think it’s outrageous that a mayor would circumvent federal authorities and certainly put them in danger by making a move such as that,” White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said Thursday But Schaaf was unapologetic. "I did what I believe was right for my community as well as to protect public safety," Schaaf said Friday, according to NBC Bay Area. Oakland Traitors Libby Schaaf Under Fire for Lawless Efforts Against ICE

Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf is one of the most lawless, corrupt, and fundamentally dishonest mayors in the state of California, and that is saying a lot.

Mayor Schaaf intended to obstructive ICE from carrying out their lawful mission of rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them from our country. Whether the state legislature likes it or not, California is not its own nation, but is part of the United States of America, and therefore is bound, required to comply with federal law.

There is absolutely no excuse for the chief executive of Oakland to disregard the rule of law in her city or in any other party of the country. This is beyond outrageous.

Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf was facing big fallout Monday over her decision to warn the community of an immigration sweep over the weekend.

Immigrant advocates say at least 11 undocumented people were detained in Northern California over the past two days, and agenst from Immigration and Customs Enforcement are gearing up for more.

Meanwhile, Schaaf said she and her family are getting flooded with threats. Still, the mayor said she stands by her actions.

"Regardless of what happens, I felt it was my duty to share the information I had, particularly because I was sharing information that was legal and was not obstructing justice," Schaaf said.

ICE Detentions Reported Across Northern California; Mayors Speak Out

On Saturday, Schaaf warned the community of possible ICE operations in the Bay Area. On Sunday, the federal agency detained at least 11 people across Northern California, including in the Bay Area cities of Pinole, El Sobrante and Napa.

After her warning, Schaaf received backlash on social media, including some accusing her of obstruction of justice and treason.

Blanca Vasquez, with the Immigrant Liberation Movement, said the mayor’s warning gave rapid response teams a heads up. They’re now working with impacted families.

"At the end of the day, it’s families and communities that are being impacted, and that creates more trauma and a lack of trust more than anything," Vazquez said. "(Schaaf's warning) definitely helps us do what we have to to prepare."

Schaaf said the decision to go public with the information was not easy, but she stood by it.

"Every day, I have to make difficult decisions as mayor of Oakland," she said. "This is a decision I made; I recognize it’s controversial, but I believe it’s the right thing to do."
