Tell President Trump: Withdraw Chai "LGBT Bigot" Feldblum from EEOC

President Trump is an outsider. He has not fostered lots of relationships in Washington DC. That has a lot of pluses.

But there are problems with this, too. He doesn't know the people who have been working in--and working over--Washington DC.

For the last two years, most of the people in his inner circle seem committed to fighting against his agenda rather than pushing for it.

Another example of this has occured with his decision to renominate Chai Feldblum, and Obama holdover, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). This board reviews cases that deal with discrimination in the workplace.

Feldblum is an aggressively gay LGBT Activist. She has spoken out against individual liberties, and she has clearly announced that "gay rights" are more important than freedom of speech, assembly, and proprietary rights.

This woman is "The Dragon Lady of Religious Liberty" according to US Senator Mike Lee, who is the only US Senator blocking her re-confirmation.

His efforts have proven successful, and if there is no vote on her reconfirmation before the US Senate Health and Education Committee by December 31, then she will lose her first bid and the President will have to submit a new roster of names or the same names a second time.

It is essential that President Trump withdraws this nomination right away.

Dear Arthur,

In December 2017, President Trump re-nominated Chai Feldlbum to serve as Commissioner of the EEOC. Feldblum is the same anti-religious liberty and pro-LGBT zealot whom President Barack Obama nominated in 2010. Her previous term ended July 1, 2018. It is time that President Trump withdraw Feldblums nomination and replace her with a Constitutional conservative who will protect the First Amendment.

Feldblum's influence at the EEOC places a so-called right to sexual deviancy (sexual sin) over and above religious liberty. Her mixed-up views force Christians to abandon their deeply held religious beliefs on marriage and sexuality.

For example, when there is a legal conflict between religious liberty and sexual deviancy, Feldblum has said:

I'm having a hard time coming up with any case in which religious liberty should win...Sexual liberty should win in most cases. There can be a conflict between religious liberty and sexual liberty, but in almost all cases thesexual liberty should win because that's the only way that the dignity of gay people can be affirmed in any realistic manner (emphasis added).

Contact the White House and urge President Donald Trump to withdraw the nomination of Chai Feldblum for Commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

The adverse effects of Chai Feldblum's warped worldview have infected the EEOC resulting in numerous rogue actions by the U.S. Executive Branch.

In 2014, Feldblum's EEOC, with assistance from the ACLU, argued for a transgender employee's rights before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. In this case, a Christian business owner of a funeral home had fired employee Anthony Stephens, who was undergoing "gender transitioning" and wearing women's clothes to work. The business owner said this violated his Christian beliefs, but the EEOC argued that a Christian business owner could not fire a transgender employee for religious reasons. The court agreed.

President Trump, who campaigned on and issued an Executive Orderprotecting religious liberty, said, "Faith is deeply embedded into the history of our country, the spirit of our founding and the soul of our nation...[this administration] will not allow people of faith to be targeted, bullied, or silenced anymore."

The re-nomination of Chai Feldblum, one of President Obama's most ardent opponents of religious liberty, grossly undermines President Trump's promises as well as his instructions to the Department of Justice to protect religious liberty.

Thanks to Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), Feldblums nomination remains stalled in the senate because of Lee's objections which are in line with the objection of the American Family Association.

Contact the White House and urge President Donald Trump to withdraw the nomination of Chai Feldblum for Commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

The dilemma of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Just because we are voting for a candidate who is flawed does not mean that our future will be flawed.

Crooked Hillary very clearly outlined what she was going to do to this country when elected.

She was going to enact and expand the regressive, leftist, globalist agenda left by Barack Obama.

The problem with Obama vs. Hillary Clinton, though, is that she can only follow the pattern in a by-the-numbers of fashion.

She has no heart or soul for any principled agenda.

Stand4Truth: Standing Up to LGBT Bigotry

Our moderator/leader presented to the audience a diverse, well-received community of activists, academics, and articulate leaders who had see bigotry of a different form in the past.

A panel of experts, including a therapist, an attorney, and a pastor who had lived through the Civil Rights Movement, commented on the slow and subversive destruction of our culture because of the LGBT movement.

Pastor Dave Welch was one of the Houston Five pastors who stood up to the openly gay Houston mayor Annise Parker and stopped the "non-discrimination" ordinance, which would have allowed men to enter into any public facility meant for women only.

It also would have shut down churches, charities, and small businesses owned by conscientious objectors who refused to participate in a homosexual wedding or other ceremony.

If they can stand up to LGBT hate in Houston, they can do it anywhere.

David Hadley Voted No! on SB 1146: You'll Appreciate the Reason Why

Unlike the previous assemblymember, incumbent Assemblyman David Hadley is giving a frequent number of community coffees.

August 27 was a great morning.

Residents asked questions ranging form local issues and tax concerns to the ideological conflicts taking over the state legislature.

He spoke out about the Second Amendment, and explained why he voted for some gun bills but not for most of the others. He has remained a strong supporter of each person's right to keep and bear arms.

At first, I wondered why he had voted yes on one bill.

His explanation cleared up all the confusion.

I never realized how damaging Prop 47 was to the state of California.

Any theft for items worth less that $950 is treated as a misdemeanor, and the miscreant gets a ticket!

No bail, no jail, they walk free after trying to steal something.

These misdemeanor thefts including firearms worth less than $950.

Hadley voted for this legislation, but Governor Brown vetoed it!

HUH?

For me, his best statements for came when he explained why he voted against SB 1146, the "Kill Christian Colleges" bill.

I really liked how David exposed that SB 1146 was not about ending discrimination, but rather about bullying the Christian colleges.

Grassroots efforts worked very hard to lobby and pressure every state representative to do the right thing on this bill.

I really appreciate that he stood his ground, despite the fact that the corrupt Democratic machine in California is going to throw everything they have at him and find any way they can to paint him as out of touch or extreme.

Thank you, Assemblyman, for protecting the First Amendment!

Torrance Declares War on Airbnb

People should be able to do whatever they want with their property, as long as they do not infringe on the property rights of their neighbors or the basic well-being ordinances of the city at large.

These concerns are facing a new set of conflicts, however, as the Internet-based sharing economy has made it easier for individuals homeowners to rent out their homes for shorter periods of time.

Instead of discussing  measured proposals to regulate these short-term rentals, the city council may opt for an outright band.

At the next Torrance City Council meeting, the city council will discuss adopting such a widespread ordinance:

9G.	Community Development – Adopt an ORDINANCE to Prohibit Short Term Rentals Within the City of Torrance. Expenditure: None.

Recommendation of the Community Development Director that City Council:

1)

Adopt an ORDINANCE prohibiting Short Term Rentals within the City of Torrance. This ordinance is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines section 15061(b)(3) because there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment; and

2)

Approve an Ordinance Summary for publication.

I have looked over a the letters and other resources in the supplemental materials.

In a number of complaints, residents focused on two property owners. They were renting out rooms through Airbnb, and their ongoing use seemed to play the larger part in neighborhood disturbances in their communities.

Two homes.

Why should the rest of the homeowners in the city suffer and lose the right to offer short-term rentals because of a few bad actors?

I contacted one city official, and this person told me that even though there was no evidence of rising crime because of Airbnb, the city should not take any chances.

I disagree with this overtly, over-cautious approach.

Now, I must submit that I do not own a home here in Torrance, or elsewhere for that matter.

I also recognize the importance people place in big homes with a calm and welcoming quality of life.

However, an outright ban one what individual property owners can do with their homes is all wrong.

Other homeowners whom I have spoke with, they agree.

It's very much about private property rights. Prospective buyers do not invest in their homes, only to learn that their use of their own property will face severe limitations.

The cost to purchase a home has become prohibitively expensive in the state of California. Regulatory burdens deserve most of the blame, including bans on private firms like Airbnb. Most people rent out their rooms for revenue, in order to pay off the mortgage but also for maintenance and upkeep on the property, too.

I followed up on some of the remarks from councilmembers during the last discussion on this item (in early March).

Councilman Griffiths affirmed the need to look further into this issue.

Councilwoman Heidi Ashcraft supports a complete ban because Airbnb homes are running a business, and R-1 zones should not have businesses.

I disagree with this assessment on the matter.

What about computer programmers and engineers who run companies out of their homes? Should they be forced to close down their operations or move out of their homes, too?

Our economy is growing, Technology has opened up a new set of opportunities while removing older forms of business, including products and services.

Men and women who purchase their homes should have the freedom to use their property as they see fit, including to earn extra income through Airbnb, VRBO, other Internet business programs..

This intrusion into private property to interrupt use, sale, and revenue is wrong.

All wrong.

Bad actors need to be held accountable for disturbing the peace. Some cities reuire short-term rentals to last for at least thirty days. So, even if visitors only want to rent a house for a weekend, the owners of the property are limited to that rental for that month.

Solves a lot of problems for the community.

Another point worth discussing ...

I have noticed this consistent overarching approach to challenges and problems from the current city council.

A conflict emerges, whether in connection with urban farming or short-term rentals, and instead of dealing with the specific problems or the principal actors who caused the problems, the city council opts for all-out ordinance.

When it comes to Airbnb, some residents complain about rising noise issues or parking problems.

Other residents are fearful about the safety in their neighborhoods relating to this issue.

We recognize their concerns, but the answer is not this widespread policy.

I spoke with a number of homeowners in the city. They do not support a widespread ban. They respect the quality of concerns, but support a set of regulatory schemas to ensure proper use and activity in the region.

Banning rental options will affect the ability to sell property, too!

It's time to stop the government impositions:

Garage sale permits.

The overlay on the Old Torrance district.

And now an outright ban on Airbnb?

Enough!

How Better to Fight for Individual Liberty

The Missouri state legislature was very close to putting on the statewide ballot an up-or-down vote for the citizens, whether to protect freedom of conscience for all Missourians

Would Christian bakeries have to bake a wedding cake for a homosexual wedding?

Would pastors and clergy have to officiate gay weddings if they activity violated their beliefs?

Would charities have to cater to homosexual conduct and celebrate it?

The Missouri Democrats in the state senate filibustered for forty hours to try to stop the legislation.

It survived, but in the Missouri house, it went down to defeat.

What happened?

The same collusion of Big Business and the Big Gay Hate Machine went to work and out-organized the pro-life, pro-liberty support in the state house.

One of the pro-freedom forces documented some of the lessons learned from this set-back:

1) Yes, the culture wars have moved this far, this fast. Get over it.

I recall the shock which Oprah Winfrey felt when Texas ranchers were suing her for libel of their beef products. At the time, Dr. Phil McGraw was a juror psychologist helping the Oprah team prepare for the trial. She was in tears, could not believe that this massive lawsuit was taking her down, could even ruin her media empire.

Dr. Phil's answer: "Get over it! Get with it! This is happening, and you need to fight!"

Many Christians had pushed aside the notion that the culture wars were going to escalate this quickly, with such devastating destruction.

It has happened, and it's time to stop being surprised. It's time to fight back!

2) Both sides are 100 percent committed to the idea of their own righteousness.

We need to stop thinking that we can find middle ground on these issues. Either we respect freedom of conscience, or we don't. Either we fight for the true definition of marriage, or we don't.

These cultural and fiscal issues cannot be decided or determined by "compromise." The extremes define the center, and the extreme progressivism of Barack Obama is wrecking the country and wreaking havoc on the political argument.

We will lose some friends, and we may gain supporters from people whom we have never thought to work with.

3) Your friends in business aren’t committed.

Pro-business people are that--pro-business. A cursory reading of The Wealth of Nations should remind conservatives that pro-business does not necessarily pro-liberty or pro-free market. Mnay times, business owners--especially the large, corporate firms--want to wield government influence to their favor to get rid of competition.

Think about it. Businesses which will not cater to homosexual weddings get rubbed out, and those businesses whose owners have no moral scruples can reap the benefits. Also bear in mind that many large companies, like Target, have been overrun with pro-gray elements, whether the CEO, or members of the board of directors, and sometimes family members have persuaded both to accommodate such destructive policies.

Big Business wants to avoid big fights. Don't depend on them to lead the way.

4) The other side’s public officials want this fight more than ours.

The Left wants to fight against freedom of faith, religion, and conscience. They have nothing left to lose, since they are losing on every front all over the country. In the relatively few states where Democrats control the state legislature and the governorship, they are running their states into the ground, ruining them perpetually. They have no interest in good governance, just raw power, and they will find any divisive issue to distract from their own destruction--and destructive policies.

5) We can’t allow our surrogates and supporters to become the story.

We need to control our message all across the board. Just as Big Business has little courage, Big Media has little integrity, and is interested in fomenting conflict which makes pro-family, pro-liberty forces look bad, or at least backward.

6) Social networks matter. A lot. And the other side is using them much better than we are.

It's not enough to have numbers. Coordination and organization are key. A small, yet tightly-bound team is more effective than a loose community. Which ones will vote more, make the case stronger?Yes, conservatives have won the argument. When are they going to put more effort to win the vote?

7) Don’t wait for the cavalry, it isn’t coming.

You make the fight. You make it happen. It's not enough, it's not wise to wait for someone else to fight.

8) You have to try to find a way to be winsome if you’re going to win hearts and minds.

Don't get angry. Don't get bummed. Don't give up. Don't get angry with others when the fight is not going your way. Don't get bummed when you fail. Don't give up. Period.

These are wise words to live by in the culture wars. The Left has understood and implemented these principles for a long time. We on the right are just beginning to flex our might.
