Since the November election, people seem bolder and are speaking out more! The public library in Nampa, Idaho recently found that out – and was forced to backtrack on a horrible LGBT promotion.

Background: Dangerous LGBT “youth safe space” events

The LGBT movement does many terrible things to make children comfortable with homosexuality and its related behaviors. Recently, parents have battled LGBT library books, drag queen events, “gender” ideology, and “gay” sex-ed.

But the most alarming are the “safe space” gatherings for “youth” sponsored by local LGBT groups. Young teenagers are invited to off-site events with older homosexual teenagers and “LGBT” adults in their early and mid-20s. Often the events promise pizza or other “fun” enticements (away from parents). They are sold to the public as “supportive” and “affirming” places for kids.

In fact, these are toxic opportunities for sexual grooming – and worse. Over the past two decades, we have had more tearful reports from parents about these kinds of events than anything else. Parents have described how their children were sexually molested and groomed into homosexuality and lesbianism. (And now, transgenderism is included.)

For years, MassResistance warned about these LGBT community groups and events (including “youth pride”) that mingled adults with underage children. In one case we investigated in 2007, a young “gay” adult even admitted that he engaged in homosexual sex with 14-year-olds, and that drug use went on. Of all the things the LGBT movement does with children, these “safe and supportive” events are by far the most alarming.

Disturbing flyer posted in the city’s public library

On November 14, 2024, a MassResistance activist in Nampa, Idaho was in the local library where he noticed a disturbing flyer targeting teenagers on the library’s “events” billboard. It was for a weekly “youth” event put on by a shadowy local LGBT group (“Clutch”) and held at a downtown leftist church.

It was the classic LGBT “youth safe space” scheme. It’s for “teens” age 14-20. It advertised: “No pressure, no judgement, just you,” a free meal and activity, and “creating an affirming space” for “LGBTQ+ youth” where they will “feel loved.”  It’s every parent’s nightmare. Should the public library be advertising this?

The outrage quickly goes viral, and the library gets lots of pushback

MassResistance got the word out, and the outrage quickly spread. Within hours, many local citizens began calling and emailing the library. But that was just the beginning. The public library’s promotion of this event got a lot of attention across the state. 

A library trustee in neighboring Eagle, Idaho shared our X post on it. The Idaho Freedom Foundation and the Idaho Freedom Caucus helped spread the word on their social media accounts and were strong in their condemnation of it.

The Idaho state senator from that district, Sen. Brian Lenney (R-Nampa), was very upset at this and began spreading the word. He posted copies of the flyer and contacted the library director to demand an explanation!

The manager of a prominent bar and restaurant near Nampa created his own video about the library’s promotion of the “youth safe space” that mixed teenagers and adults, and he also phoned the library himself.

The flyer was quickly taken down. But that wasn’t quite the end of it.

On November 18 – four days after the flyer was discovered – the library director sent out a public response, attempting to duck responsibility:

Hello All,

The communication you have identified is not a library program and not affiliated with the library in any way. We have two Community Events boards  on our 2nd and 3rd floors.  Someone, not a library employee, posted the sign(s) in an appropriate area on the Community Events boards that is governed by our Library Board approved Community Events Posting Policy (attached). The poster meets the conditions in our policy.  Please notice that the policy states: “In providing public bulletin boards, the Library does not imply endorsement of the events or information posted.”

It is unfortunate that this inaccurate information was shared, hopefully this clears things up. I would welcome a discussion at any time.

But the points she made in her response are dishonest and misleading:

1. No one was suggesting that the event was affiliated with the library. The problem was the library was recognizing it as a legitimate event (reflecting community standards), and thereby promoting it.
2. She says that “someone” posted it, not a library employee. But the library is responsible for what is on its Community Events board.
3. The library’s Events board policy actually appears to agree with the parents. The policy bans: “Offensive materials (as defined in Idaho State Code 18-4105 or 18-1514), materials promoting illegal activities, or inappropriate materials.”
   
   Those statutes describe material that is “harmful to minors,” which includes “normal or perverted” sexual situations “applying contemporary community standards.” People in the community certainly regarded the event in the flyer as being covered by that language. (Also, the fact that LGBTQ identities need a “support” center confirms they are not recognized as “normal” in this community.)
   
   Moreover, a fringe sexual-radical group that promotes underage teens mingling with adults does not qualify as an “event of cultural and general interest to the local community.”
4. Saying “the Library does not imply endorsement of the events or information posted” is beside the point. By allowing an event so controversial (and likely against its own policy) to be promoted on its bulletin board, whether the library officially endorses it or not, doesn’t matter.

“Conservative” city councilor defends the library, attacks state senator

A constant problem parents have is that even “good” local elected officials will defend bad ideas and actions by city employees.

One of Nampa’s RINO city councilors, Natalie Jagula, defended the library and the flyer, and had a heated email exchange with Sen. Lenney about it. She said that he has no proof that this particular event is inappropriate because the organizers don’t say it includes anything sexual. Sen. Lenney strongly disagreed that the library should have anything to do with promoting an event like this, which is obviously sexual. Jagula later told the press that Lenney’s position on protecting children is “dangerous, irresponsible and un-American.”

The Idaho “mainstream” media became unhinged and went right into attack mode. This victory by MassResistance and regular citizens seemed to push them over the edge!

The newspapers mostly attacked Sen. Lenney, who refused to back down on this issue, referring to him as “far-right.” They praised Natalie Jagula for bashing him. Being lazy, the press basically reprinted two “news” stories, which were also used by a Spokane, Washington paper and Yahoo News.

Local library director writes vitriolic newspaper commentary

One newspaper got a library director in a neighboring town to write a vitriolic “commentary” attack on pro-family parents who want to protect children from sexual materials in the library. If nothing else, it reveals the truly depraved, irrational, and angry mindset that we’re up against.

TV station bashes MassResistance in shameful propaganda “news” report

On November 20, a reporter from KTVB-TV, the local NBC-TV affiliate in Nampa, called Arthur Schaper, our National Field Director, to interview him about the library flyer incident.

Arthur was very precise and unwavering about why the event was harmful and should not be promoted in a public library.

In the 10-minute phone conversation, Arthur also grilled the reporter about the direction of the story. The reporter basically admitted that it would be that MassResistance is creating a false controversy about the effort to help “LGBTQ kids” feel comfortable. Furthermore, the group says there would be no discussion of sex or sexually explicit themes. The reporter proceeded to lecture Arthur that kids “are born gay” and they need help affirming their identities.

Later that day the TV report came out. It was a heavy pro-LGBT propaganda piece – unprofessional even by mainstream media standards. The seven-minute report was nearly all a friendly interview with the LGBT group’s director and a pro-LGBT tirade by the reporter. It included about 20 seconds from Arthur’s phone call, which the reporter dismissed as being an extremist rant. And of course, they bashed MassResistance.

In other words, Arthur and MassResistance won, and the reporter couldn’t take it.

Final thoughts

This kind of strong principled pushback needs to happen across the country! As we’ve said many times, the leftist agenda and the media’s attacks are a house of cards. It can all be taken down with strength and perseverance.

The momentum is turning in our favor. But really stopping the destructive movements targeting vulnerable children requires regular people to get involved!

Back in July 2022, the Kootenai County, Idaho Library Board made news when our local activists finally had enough of the obscenity and pornography on the children’s shelves. The majority of the five Library Board members were hard leftists. The Library Director was a smarmy pro-LGBT social-justice warrior.

The Library Director had just finished defending a library book about 15-year-old girls who were molested by their fathers and became prostitutes. She said that parents’ complaints were “out of context” – a talking point frequently used by pornographers and LGBT activists.

One of the mothers stood up and lit into the Library Director. Among other things, she called her a pervert and a purveyor of smut and pornography to innocent children, and said she was “complicit in the degeneracy and degradation of society.”

At the next meeting the Library Director announced her resignation. The following month, the Library Board approved a new collection policy that banned some “obscene” children’s books while continuing to approve books promoting homosexual and transgender-themed sexual behaviors.

But the Board then replaced the exiting Library Director with an even more aggressively leftist and pro-LGBT director. This was clearly meant as a reprimand to the parents.

MassResistance continued working with them. We provided them advice and strategy, connected them with people in other states, and helped them work through ideas.

Electing a new conservative Library Board …

So in 2023, following a months-long education campaign across the county by the activists, the two leftist Library Board incumbents were voted out. They were replaced by people who had campaigned on dealing with the explicit materials.

Conservatives now had the majority, and the new Library Board Chairman was outspoken about removing all the obscenity that taxpayers were paying for.

… And changes take place!

The new Library Board got right to work:

• Within months, the new Library Board followed the lead of other libraries across the country and cut ties with the horrible pro-LGBT American Library Association.
• They are now drafting a very strong collections policy – modeled after the one in Campbell County, WY – that will keep taxpayers from having to pay for any harmful sexual material for children and teenagers.
• They have also started working on policies which allow them to evaluate, document, and discipline the Library Director if she defies the Board or does not comply with the policies.

The Left gets fried over pro-family changes

Not surprisingly, these changes have faced considerable pushback from local leftists. The local newspaper has repeatedly attacked the new Library Board majority as “far right.” Both of the former leftist Board members who lost the 2023 election have continued attending Board meetings along with other local leftists to complain. One has even threatened litigation against the new board.

But the new Library Board’s conservative members have stood tall. And local activists also attend every meeting to vocally support them.

The local grassroots group has continued to review what the Library Director and staff are bringing into the library to promote to minors – and report at the Board meetings. This has rattled both the library staff and upset the leftists.

More resignations!

The boldness of the new conservative Library Board and the relentless pressure by the local activists to have a “normal” library is having an effect.

Over the last month, two branch library directors and the library system’s communication specialist have resigned. And we suspect more will follow them. In addition, when the new policies are implemented, most people believe that it’s only a matter of time before the leftist pro-LGBT Library Director will be on her way out!

The road to having a “normal” library now is clear!

Final thoughts

Just a few years ago all of this would have seemed impossible in the Kootenai County library system. The leftists outnumbered conservatives on the Board 4-1. They were entrenched, arrogant, condescending, and unwavering. But focused activism can accomplish great things!

And it’s just as important not to allow the attacks from the Left (whether in person, online, or through the local media) to affect your resolve. These people are paper tigers. If you stand up to them they become surprisingly weak.

“Why is the credit card bill so high?”, “What happened to the car?”,  “Why can’t I go to the dance?”.  Questions come up all the time.  But when those questions involve City Government you are allowed only 2 minutes to explain your concern and NO TIME is allotted to the answer.

It has been decreed by Mayor Blad to allow the subjects in his kingdom 2 minutes each to speak on Monday October 16th.  After 9 months of NO COMMENT his subjects are restless.

If that sounds rude and ridiculous then continue to read. 

Three months ago King Blad allowed an hour for a Town Hall meeting.  ”NO COMMENTS” had been the policy for 6 months and roughly 100 TAXPAYERS attended that Town Hall meeting where they would be allowed to speak .. for 3 min.

Unaccounted for in that 1 hour was the time it takes to hold an official meeting: greeting, pledge, prayer, introductions, short announcements .. and oh yes, 15 minutes to read the rules.  The public’s time was now 20 minutes.  There were 100 people at that meeting.. but did King Blad extend the time to speak?  NO, like a lottery, he randomly drew 6 names. 

Mayor Blad must have been concerned about allowing only 6 speakers, because he reduced the time for each speaker at the next meeting to 2 minutes so more people can speak (2 more).  Can you imagine the outcome of having a budget discussion with your spouse in 2 minutes.. or on why there’s a dent in the car or a change in weekend plans?  TAXPAYERS have a right for their concerns to be heard.  

Whether you are left, right or center of the political aisle.. you should be enraged. If you care about your taxes, the budget, parks, roads or city planning  come at 6:30 on October 16 at City Hall … Your presence will SPEAK LOUDLY.  This is an insult to our intelligence.   

There is a CITY COUNCIL election in November… come to the Town Hall and show by your presence that you will be happy to replace them ALL if needed until they once again work for the taxpayers.

Republicans Unwavering in Defense of Truth and Childhood Innocence Against Woke Culture By Dorothy Moon, IDGOP Chairwoman

We all feel that summer is coming to an end, and fall is nearly upon us. School has begun, temperatures are finally coming down, and apples are ripening on the trees. But just as sure as the leaves change color, so too will the banners of Boise turn to an unrelenting parade of rainbows. “Pride” is more than just a month these days, it’s the fifth season! This celebration of deviant debauchery starts in June and doesn’t end until Boise Pride Fest in September, and neither we nor our children can escape the persistent propaganda. Last year, thousands of parents and concerned citizens were outraged when Boise Pride planned to include a child drag show on their stage. Several local businesses withdrew their sponsorships in response, and organizers were forced to cancel the show. This was a victory for common sense and traditional values, anticipating the successful boycotts against Bud Light and Target this year. Regular Americans are rising against the evil push to sexualize our children. Unfortunately, Boise Pride will be back this year, and their program includes another drag queen story time. Many sponsors have returned, including taxpayer-supported organizations such as the City of Boise, Your Health Idaho, and the Idaho National Laboratory. This is a travesty — no public money should ever be used to support events like this. The Idaho Republican Party continues to oppose the ongoing sexualization of our children. Republicans must stand united in our support of traditional values and the truth. What is truth? It is an eternal truth that children deserve a childhood free from sexualized propaganda and grooming, that men are men, women are women, and there is no in between, and that people who prey upon children must be stopped. Unfortunately, some Republican organizations have missed the memo. The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) recently rejected a bylaw amendment that would limit their membership to actual women. Eileen Sobjack, president of the NFRW, is allegedly afraid to clarify this issue for fear of a lawsuit. Sobjack will be in Idaho this fall speaking to the Idaho chapter of the NFRW regarding “gender issues.” Perhaps someone will ask her the all-important question “what is a woman?” It should be an easy answer, but maybe not. The New Jersey chapter of the NFRW recently nominated a biological man to be their “Woman of the Year.” If a Republican organization cannot tell the difference between men and women, how can they have any moral authority to speak against the LGBTQ+ agenda in our society? We cannot cower before the woke mob. We cannot allow the threat of frivolous lawsuits to stand in the way of speaking the truth. We cannot compromise with a culture that is deliberately warping the minds of young children. Republicans must be bold in proclaiming our moral values and protecting childhood innocence. In a world of lies, we will always stand up for the truth.

After over a year of pressure and outrage by local MassResistance parents and citizens about pornographic sexual and LGBT books for children and teenagers, the library director in Coeur d’Alene, ID has suddenly announced her resignation.

On October 18, Community Library Network’s Library Director, Amy Rodda, notified the Library Board and also her staff that she was resigning, effective Nov. 21. In a press release the following day, she cited a vague reason, that “unforeseen family circumstances that are leading her back to Colorado.” Her position pays $108,150 per year. She did not mention whether she had another job to go to.

(Back in January, a Wyoming County Commissioner gave a similar vague reason for resigning after MassResistance pressure. Whatever the reason is, good riddance. This is great news for the community that this twisted Library Director is leaving.)

The particularly arrogant and condescending Library Director

For over a year a core group of local MassResistance citizens have attended every Library Board meeting and voiced their outrage at the library’s growing collection of explicit and obscene sexual, homosexual, and transgender books in the children’s and teenagers’ sections of the library. They would regularly read excerpts from these books out loud during the public testimony portion of the meetings.

The Library Director’s reaction to this was an unusual exhibition of arrogance and condescension.  She established her own “Rebuttal” period at the beginning of every Library Board meeting where she derided and dismissed the citizen’s comments from the previous meeting.

For example, at one meeting she said that even though the parents may find part of a book for teenagers “shocking or provocative,” that passage needs to be taken “in the context of the entire book.” That absurd idea is a talking point frequently used by pornographers and LGBT activists. In this case, the book was about 15-year-olds who became prostitutes after their fathers had sexually molested them. She did not mention what was “positive” in this book.

The Library Director was adamant in her support for the LGBT movement. This year the library participated in a toxic “North Idaho Pride Alliance” event. Parents who opposed the sexualization of children were described as “white supremacists, hypocrites, haters, and book-burners.”

There were also attempts to intimidate and harass the MassResistance citizens by organizing groups of pro-LGBT activists to testify at Library Board meetings. They’d aggressively insist those books are “really needed,” and angrily call the pro-family people there “bigots and haters.”

Three of the five Library Board members, including the Chairman, support the obscene children’s books and impede any internal criticism of them. The other two members are shocked at the books (though only one is really outspoken) but they are routinely overruled and silenced by the others. So it’s been up to the community to speak out forcefully!

The turning point likely came in July

The July 18 Library Board meeting, (which we reported on here) was likely the turning point in the Library Director’s feelings about continuing in this community. It was a meeting that no one who was there will easily forget.

As one of the local MassResistance citizens was finishing reading aloud a particularly disgusting pornographic section of a library book for teenagers, a mother from the group stood up, walked over to the Board and the Library Director, and yelled at them:

Yes, this is pornography. Will you just get over yourselves and get rid of these books? You people are disgusting! Disgusting! How dare you have books like that in the library! You need to quit. Because you people are a den of perverts!

You’re so “civilized” that you allow things like this for 12-year-olds to read! You are really beyond belief. If we didn’t have that special clause in the law,* you would all be going to jail for providing this stuff to children.

I’m sick of you. This is disgusting. This little town is full of innocence and you’re ruining it with your smut. You’re just disgusting.

(* She referred to the special exemption for schools and libraries from the ban on presenting obscene materials to minors. Unfortunately, many states have these exemptions. They all need to be repealed!)

You can view the video on our post of that meeting. Since then the outrage in the community has only increased – and the local LGBT activists seem to realize that.

It’s a great victory for the pro-family movement against the horrible push to sexualize innocent children. The next job in Coeur d’Alene is to make sure that the new Library Director fully understands this!

Final thoughts

This is what must happen in libraries and schools across the country. We have always said that the problem is not the bad books. The problem is the bad people. The books don’t come in by themselves. So going through the cumbersome and bureaucratic process of “challenging” all these pornographic books is not as productive as demanding that the people who put them there be fired or resign.

This is the second head librarian that has resigned after MassResistance pressure. And we are working on several others!

Vile Treasure Michele Veale Must Resign from the Community Library Network Board of Trustees

Michele Veale shames trustees and parents, 
and she ignores complaints from the community
about porn and smut in the CLN libraries

Michele Veale, the ousted library board trustee turned treasurer for the Community Library Network in Kootenai County, is one of the most vile government officials I have come across in a long time.

This karen has no respect for children, parents, or anyone in between. She has constantly shamed and dismissed the concerns of outraged residents in Kootenai County who want the filth and perversion removed from the local libraries throughout the Northern Idaho region.

It is a small wonder that the voters in Kootenai County threw her out of office last year. Yet the new board insisted on appointing her as the Library Board Treasurer. But she is anything but a treasure on that board. She is a rude, rolls her eyes when members of the public speak out on issues.

And she has even shamed and accused one of the board members of perverse things just because she cares about children's innocent and wants to do what is best for the community.

Consider this letter that I wrote to the Community Library Network in February, 2022:

Dear Michele Veale:

 

Residents in the Kootenai County Community informed me that you viciously slighted Library Trustee Rachelle Ottosen during the last CLN Trustee Board meeting in January.

 

For the last three months, Mrs. Ottosen and other outraged residents in Northern Idaho have been pressuring the Library Board to remove the inappropriate LGBT books in the library.

 

Furthermore, they have been rightfully pressing for proper procedures and processes in place to protect children--and adults!--from illicit, obscene materials which violate the Miller v. California standards outlined by the United States Supreme Court.

 

During the previous CLN meeting, you shamed Mrs. Ottosen by stating:

 

"You are obsessed with children's sexuality. I would hate to see what is going on in your head!"

 

Such remarks are completely unprofessional, inappropriate, and downright disgusting.

 

Library trustees have a responsibility, a mandate to protect the well-being, honor, dignity, and mental health of children.

 

They have a responsibility to ensure that perverted, obscene materials and individuals are not present in local libraries.

 

Frankly, the fact that someone like you thinks it is OK to indoctrinate little children with sexually explicit themes and ideologies should lead all of us to beg the question:

 

"What is the matter with you, Michele Veale? What kind of dirty mind do you have, that you think LGBT materials should be pushed on kids, by disturbed adults, all under the guise of so-called "freedom of speech"?"

 

I am urging the Community Library Network Board of Trustees tto issue a motion of censure against Treasurer Michele Veale. Furthermore, Ms. Veale should do the dignified thing and resign her position immediately. I am well-aware that she was up for election on the CLN Library Board last year, and the voters threw her out of office. Based on her disgusting disregard for the well-being of children and disrespect towards those adults who actually do care for children, the voters made the right decision, and their vote should count!

I understand that Ms. Veale apologized to Trustee Ottosen at the next Community Library Network meeting.

But her disrespectful behavior towards the public has not changed.

Consider her tired, bored attitude towards the audience at a more recent library board meeting:

While Lis Worcester of Idaho MassResistance reamed out the board for refusing to remove the pornographic books from the library system, Veale rolled her eyes again and then walked away from the meeting.

I wrote a second letter to the Community Library Network:

I am well-aware of the widespread community outrage which rightly and forcefully protested the Northern Idaho Pride Event earlier this year.

This is beyond, BEYOND outrageous.

 

I understand that the Community Library Network actually celebrated, promoted, and sponsored this disgusting display of perversion and evil, as well.

 

What kind of sick people are you, to allow such filth to become common place in Northern Idaho? Don't you have any shame, any decency left?!

Get over yourselves, trustees! GET OVER YOURSELVES! It is absolutely disgusting DISGUSTING that you allow such LGBT perversion and pornography to be pushed on children. Aside from Mrs. Rachelle Ottosen, the only adult on the Board of Trustees who puts the needs of children and parents first, the entire board is complicit in this evil. You would all be in a jail cell right now but for that ridiculous obscenity exemption in the Idaho State Code. Believe me, with a new State Senate and a strong House majority in Boise, that exemption is going to be repealed, and all of you are going to have to get rid of those terrible books!

 

I specifically want to confront the rude, arrogant, and abusive Treasurer Michele Veale, as well.

 

Michele, you were so bored, apathetic, and uncaring when Lis Worcester spoke out at the last CLN meeting. You have openly shamed Mrs. Ottosen, who is putting the needs of children first. And now you disdain the parents in the community. You are the most disgusting member of the board, which is especially odd considering the fact that you do not even have a vote! The voters rightfully removed you from the board in the last election, and it's time for you to step down right now from your role as Treasurer.

The parents and children of Kootenai County deserve better, and you are the worst of the bunch!

Michele Veale needs to go. She is the most visibly disrespectful and useless member of the whole library board. She's not even elected, and the voters threw her out last year already! How much more of a message could the residents of Kootenai County have sent to the Community Library Network.

The Parent Movement in California Compared to Idaho

It's been 2+ years since COVID-19 was foisted upon the world, and in that time parents realized that they needed to fight back against their local school boards to ensure the health and well-being of their children.

It was a disastrous overreach to an illness that was an overhyped version of the flu, nothing more. Sadly, the whole world panicked and went into shut-down mode all over. Later research has confirmed that masks do not work, that they were never necessary in the first place, and lockdowns had a negligible effect (if any) in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Parents learned what many pro-family activists had been saying for years: the schools are not safe for kids. They are indoctrinating children with all kinds of filth and perversion and calling it "good." They don't put the well-being of the children first. They care more about which political lobby has the power in the school district: the teachers unions and the contractors and the administrative bloat within the school district and throughout the state.

School districts are not safe paces. They are pushing mental illnesses like homosexuality and transgenderism, all under the guise of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. They are teaching kids to hate themselves and to hate each other because of their skin color.

They are not teaching children who to read, write, do math, think, create, build, or grow.

There is no accountability in government schools, since once a teacher passes tenure, it is almost impossible to fire a teacher

A number of parents started to band together to fight back against the health overreach as well as the critical racist theory and sexual degeneracy being pushed on children. But they didn't want to fight it as hard as it needed.

I remember meeting with a number of parents, telling them that they had to confront school board members and teachers, call them out for the abuse that they were visiting on students in the classroom. A Some parents were willing to share tips with me, and some other residents in the city also let me know what was going on.

However, when I told parents how they had to confront and call out teachers, not just the elected officials, I was surprised by how many of them balked at the idea. They didn't want to go aggressively after the very people who were pushing all the bad stuff on the children in the first place. In one Zoom meeting, a parent actually told me that she was friends with one of the teachers whom I was exposing and confronting! I was sickened!

That parent was more interested in maintaining a cordial, civil friendship with a creepy teacher instead of fighting back and protecting her kids and other kids in the local school district. This was really frustrating.

The more that I think about it, the more outraged I become. I hate to say it, but some of these parents were de facto enablers of the very abuse and bad policies that they wanted to stop, or rather that they claimed that they wanted to stop!

In contrast to a number of the parents I tried to work with in the South Bay section of Los Angeles County, I just found this incredible mother, a real profile in courage, in Northern Idaho. She and other parents work with the Idaho chapter of MassResistance, the organization that I work form, too. For the last year, they have been confronting and calling out the local library board for allowing all kinds of lew materials in the children's section of the library.

Yes, this is pornography. Will you just get over yourselves and get rid of these books? You people are disgusting! Disgusting! How dare you have books like that in the library? You need to quit. Because you people are a den of perverts!

When they tried to cut her off, and when they told her to abide by the library code of conduct, this mother doubled down on her outrage:

You’re so civilized that you allow things like this for 12-year-olds to read. You are really beyond belief. If we didn’t have that special clause in the law, you would all be going to jail for providing this stuff to children.

The special clause is the obscenity exemption, which allows libraries and schools to push all kinds of filth on children under the banner of "education."

This is the kind of outrage that I was hoping to see from more parents in the South Bay in Los Angeles County. I was really hoping that parents would get this angry, outraged enough that they would confront the evil in the local libraries and the local schools. Sadly, too many of the parents wanted to stay civil, they wanted to ensure that their friendships with local groups did not get jeopardized. All too many of the parents were A-OK with homosexuality and transgenderism, just "don't push it on the kids ...." What an abusive outrage!

It just sickened me, and I got so tired of this cowardice. In contrast to the relative weakness of parents in Los Angeles County, I am glad to see parents in Idaho, Virginia, and elsewhere rising up with unfettered vehemence, demanding an end to this perversion in the local libaries. They are targeting the staffmembers that allow this trash in the libraries, as well, which is all the more important!
