What Really Caused the Shutdown? The Democrats!

So, what really caused the Shutdown?

The Democrats! Even Democrats here in the South Bay agreed that the Democratic minority had no right to hold our government hostage. The left-wing retort suggests that because Republicans have majorities in both chamber of Congress, they own the shutdown. Democrats once again show how had they are at math. For the Senate to invoke cloture, the motion requires 60 votes. There are 51 Republicans, which means 9 Democrats must join them. The House passed legislation which included nothing offensive to the Democratic Party, including delay of Obamacare taxes, hated by members of both parties.

Cryin’ Chuck Schumer and his desperate, left-wing colleagues chose to shut down the government for three days. It was a massive PR failure, and they quickly acquiesced to all of the GOP’s acceptable demands.

Following this disaster and their disgraceful behavior during President Trump’s First State of the Union address, Democrats are going to have a really rough election cycle this year.

Democrats have become the party which:
  1. Puts illegal aliens ahead of American citizens, especially our military.
  2. Blocked health insurance funding for 9,000,00 children (CHIP)
  3. Defends hateful, unpopular Obamacare
  4. Sits during praise for our country’s national anthem
  5. Ignores the plight of families who have lost loved ones to illegal aliens
  6. Disdains the epic drop in black and Hispanic unemployment
Keep it up, liberals! More of this kind of bad PR, and the GOP will be the only viable political party in the country.

Correction: #SchumerShutdown Was Major GOP Win This Way, too

I was looking over the latest iteration of the HR 195 continuing resolution which passed out of the US earlier this week.

I had believed that it would fund our military and provide six more years of CHIP funding, but did not include the delay of onerous Obamacare taxes.

I was wrong. The HR 195 that passed out of the US Senate was adjusted so that the government funding would continue for three weeks instead of four.

Other than that, the Republicans got everything they wanted, evertything which they had placed in the original House Continuing Resolution way before.

I wanted to correct that, and do another touchdown dance, if you will, in the political endzone.

Cryin' Chuck is a lyin' schmuck, and his left-wing base is eating him alive over this failure.

That's the way it should be!

NHGOP Trolls Federal Delegation for #SchumerShutdown

Forrester Statement on Shaheen and Hassan Caving on the Government Shutdown

For Immediate Release: 1/22/2018
Contact: Patrick Hynes, (202) 321-5310

CONCORD - NH GOP Chair Jeanie Forrester released the following statement regarding the end of the Government Shutdown:

“I am very happy the children of New Hampshire and the fighting men and women of our Armed Service can breathe a sigh of relief now that the shutdown is over. But what was the point of the Shaheen, Hassan, Kuster and Shea-Porter shutdown? It appears as though our federal delegation is strictly interested in playing political games. And once they realized the public was outraged with their shutdown shenanigans, they caved as soon as they could.”

#SchumerShutdown: Kamala Harris Now Begging for a Bipartisan Solution

Now this is interesting.

Check out Kamala Harris latest eblast, begging for a resolution to the #SchumerShutdown:

Kamala Harris

Exactly one year after President Trump was sworn into office, our government has shut down. Americans don't deserve this kind of dysfunction. We have to act now.
Team -
Government by crisis is not an effective way to lead this country and we need to fight back now if we're going to reopen the government, fund essential priorities and save the Dreamers from being deported.
I am confident that if enough of us come together this weekend we can make Republican leaders hear the voices of the American people who are rightly frustrated. Let's use this opportunity to reject the false choices of our politics and do the right thing. So I'm asking:
This is not some partisan political game -- this is about people's lives. Hundreds of thousands of federal employees, many of whom are living paycheck to paycheck, are facing furloughs -- and the Dreamers are still terrified that they could face deportation.
I think you'll agree that the American people deserve better than a dysfunctional Congress that won’t stand up to this president's weak leadership and anti-immigrant policies.
We need this government shutdown to end as quickly as possible and that's why I'm asking you to make your voice heard today and tell Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and all Republicans to do the right thing:
Thanks for all you do,
Kamala Harris
U.S. Senator, California

Yes, Kamala Harris is still stumping for the illegal alien youth protected under the unconstitutional DACA program.

Yes, she still wants to stick Republicans with some of the blame.

But she wants a bipartisan solution, which is interesting, considering that she had competed against another Democrat in 2016, and there's little reason for her to want a bipartisan solution. Yet her she is, wanting something that will enabler both sides of the aisle to find some agreement and pass something to keep the federal government running.

Granted, she makes no mention of our military or the CHIP program, but at least she is feeling some of the heat to get to a solution.

Contact Kamala Harris' Office, and tell her to vote for the Bipartisan CR which already passed out of the House of Representatives:

112 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20510
Phone (202) 224 - 3553

Fax (202) 224 - 2200

Tell her clearly:

End the #SchumerShutdown
