New Hampshire GOP Condemns Gun-Grabbing Democrats

It's appalling that anyone, especially a retired Supreme Court Justice, would call for the repeal of the Second Amendment.

Someone need to bring him back up to speed on the United States Constitution and natural law. Man has a God-given right to protect himself, and firearms are the essential tool which allow individual citizens to keep themselves from harm, whether foreign and domestic.

But especially domestic. The Second Amendment was not put in place to protect a farmer's right to hunt deer. The Second Amendment is about more than protection from burglars and murders. The Second Amendment guarantees are safety from a corrupt, overbearing government!

The New Hampshire GOP took no time to condemn the Democratic Party's destructive, hateful attacks on natural law and natural rights:

Concord - NHGOP Chair Jeanie Forrester released the following statement after NH Democrat State Representative Kathy Rogers bringing up a repeal of the Second Amendment:

“New Hampshire Democrats are now openly discussing the possibility of repealing the Second Amendment, while Republicans are committed to defending it. Where do Jeanne Shaheen, Maggie Hassan, Annie Kuster, and the liberals running in the first congressional district stand on this issue?”

Election Integrity at Risk in the Granite State?

Forrester statement on Colin Van Ostern's Next Political Move

For Immediate Release: March 14, 2018

CONCORD - NHGOP Chair Jeanie Forrester released the following statement regarding Colin Van Ostern's next political move:

"When Colin Van Ostern announced he wasn’t running for Governor, we all assumed he had something cynical and self-serving up his sleeve. No one imagined it would be this cynical and this self-serving. It would be a complete disaster to have a professional political operative who is literally trying to buy the office of Secretary of State. New Hampshire would lose our First-in-the-Nation prestige and our election integrity would be at risk with a political hack as Secretary of State. To maintain election integrity, we must reject Colin Van Ostern’s cynical ploy."

Forrester Statement on Shaheen and Hassan Caving on the Government Shutdown

For Immediate Release: 1/22/2018

CONCORD - NH GOP Chair Jeanie Forrester released the following statement regarding the end of the Government Shutdown:

“I am very happy the children of New Hampshire and the fighting men and women of our Armed Service can breathe a sigh of relief now that the shutdown is over. But what was the point of the Shaheen, Hassan, Kuster and Shea-Porter shutdown? It appears as though our federal delegation is strictly interested in playing political games. And once they realized the public was outraged with their shutdown shenanigans, they caved as soon as they could.”

New Hampshire GOP Calls on Federal Delegation to Withhold Pay During #SchumerShutdown

Every State GOP should be sending out the same demand to any Demcorat in the current federal delegation.

It is outrageous and unconscionable that Democrats put the needs of illegal aliens ahead of American citizens, especially poor children and our mighty military.

Check out the eblast sent out by the New Hampshire Republican Party today:

Forrester Calls on Shaheen, Hassan, Kuster, & Shea-Porter to Withhold their Salaries

For Immediate Release: 1/22/2018

CONCORD - NH GOP Chair Jeanie Forrester released the following statement regarding our Federal Delegation failing to avert a government shutdown:

"Senator Shaheen, Senator Hassan, Congresswoman Kuster, and Congresswoman Shea-Porter voted in lock-step with the Democrats, putting party politics over the interests of Granite Staters. As a result of their reckless and self-serving vote, they have jeopardized the well-being of 14,727 New Hampshire children who rely on the Children’s Health Insurance Program and put at risk our veterans and active military pay and benefits."

"And, while Shaheen, Hassan, Kuster, and Shea-Porter will still be bringing home a paycheck, the 7,600 federal employees in New Hampshire are going unpaid for the foreseeable future. Sadly, our delegation is once again out of touch and out of line and they should forgo their salary until the end of the shutdown."

A Note From Jeanie
Dear Arthur,

2017 was a great year for NH Republicans. Under Republican leadership, we’ve made some great strides forward.  In case you missed it, check out my op ed in today’s Union Leader that outlines the successes of Governor Sununu.  2018 promises to be even better as we grow our majorities in the House and Senate, send Governor Sununu back to the corner office, and fill those Congressional seats.

Here at the NHGOP, we are getting ready for our annual meeting on Saturday, January 27th at Bow High School at 32 White Rock Hill Road in Bow.  Credentialing for voting will be from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 9 a.m.

Meeting packets will be going out next week, but just to give you some highlights of the day, we will have guest speakers, consider changes to our by-laws, and present awards that recognize the hard work and dedication of Republicans.

While you wait for your packet, you may want to check out a summary of the by-law changes and the actual by-law amendments, which can be found on our website at NH.GOP.

Sincerely,

Jeanie

This Photo of the Week is from Representative Yvonne Dean-Bailey, showing the large number of yellow scarfs in attendance at the New Hampshire House Session on Wednesday! The yellow scarves signify some of the many advocates for expanding school choice that we have in the State Legislature.
