CA Governor's Race: Travis Allen Remains the Top Ranking Republican

Dear friends, Since I announced in June, my campaign to become the 40th Governor of California has taken off. Of the top 3 polls in the state, the LA Times/USC poll (the poll that predicted the Presidential win) has me as the top Republican at 15% with plenty of room to grow. Assembly GOP Line Up RINOs into Leadership? The Fight is Not Over!

Cap-and-Traitor Cheating Chad Mayes was forced out as minority leader.

But guess what? He has been appointed as Assistant Minority Leader instead. The California Assembly leadership refuse to listen to the voters, the men and women who work hard and elected these individuals to serve the best interests of the people and the state of California.

What is going on here?

I thought that we had a victory here, didn't we?

Brian Dahle, the new Assembly Republican leader, just thumbed his nose at grassroots party activists. He announced a leadership team that’s a who’s who of “Republicans In Name Only.” That’s his prerogative, of course, but the lesson the Assembly GOP learned from the ouster of former leader Chad Mayes is to double down on the same strategy of making nice with the Democratic leadership.

The "leadership" will not be lead. They want to dictate, or at least go down making it clear to us "little people" that we will not be calling the shots in any meaningful way--at least as long as they think that they can last up in Sacramento.

WHAT?! Arrogance to the extreme. These politicians failed us. They lied to us, and they need to be held accountable. It's as simple as that. 

After Mayes and six of his Assembly colleagues voted to extend the governor’s cap-and-trade law by a decade, the Republican grassroots was furious. Prominent county party leaders called for Mayes’ ouster. Mayes not only went along with a deal that may increase the price of gasoline by 63 cents a gallon by 2021, but that he seemed so proud of what he had done.

Of course he was proud of it. The lack of activity, of outrage and upset against the

Mayes bragged about his “bromance” with Democratic Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon of Los Angeles. He posed for photo ops with the governor. He lectured conservatives about how the party has to change. The Republicans finally yielded to political pressure and replaced Mayes with Dahle, from the Redding area. Then instead of ameliorating the rift with conservatives, Dahle made these leadership appointments that are likely to infuriate Mayes’ opponents.

The party "leaders" want change because they want to line their pockets, they want to go along with the Sacramento Two-Step. What a terrible set of betrayals. How much more were we going to take? Not anymore! We have gone from Rodney King to Howard Beale! We are not just standing at the balconies, though. We are muscling our political power. Men and women of all backgrounds, conservatives at the kitchen table who can't figure out how to get through the month because the taxes increase and the regulations strangle us every year are not going to sit and take it anymore!

Our streets are unsafe, housing is scarce, the political class is ripping us off, and We the People face jail time for speaking our minds and stating our case. We are not going to tolerate this anymore!

For instance, Mayes is still a prominent part of the leadership team. He was appointed assistant Republican leader. The new deputy Republican leader is Rocky Chavez, the Oceanside Republican who voted for the governor’s deal and is probably the most liberal legislator in the GOP caucus. (Chavez, for instance, received a 75 percent rating out of 100 from Planned Parenthood and a 29-percent vote from the California Labor Federation.)

Rocky the RINO is just terrible. He has routinely played his conservative credentials to the crowds, but at the end of it all he just goes along with the corrupt Sacramento crowd. He wants to play the nice Latino card, going out of his way to turn illegal aliens into citizens without the legal status, while the rest of us taxpayers must pay through the teeth and watch our rights, our standing as citizens become eroded, degraded into second-class status.

Dahle also named Heath Flora of Ripon as assistant Republican leader. Flora is closely allied with the state’s labor unions. The other choices won’t ruffle feathers (Frank Bigelow as deputy Republican leader, Phillip Chen as yet another assistant Republican leader, Jay Obernolte as Republican caucus chair and Marie Waldron as Republican floor leader).

These Republicans are non-essential types. They will do what they are told, and they refuse to make noise or get in people's faces. When does this insanity stop? When we stop letting them get away with it!

Flora voted for the Cap and Betrayal, too. He was backed by Munger money, too.

I’m not sure the point of all these redundant titles, but I am sure of the point that the Assembly leaders are making. They are staying the course, and if the party’s activists don’t like it, it’s too bad.

It is too bad, for them. It's OUR Party, and we will cry aloud, spare not. We are not going to tolerate this abuse of power. These Republicans, whether committee leaders, party brass, or elected officials, all ran on a platform opposing tax increase, wanting to make California work for all taxpaying residents. This constant increase of taxes, of spending, regulatory nonsense, the attacks on life and family, the undermining of the civil and constitutional rights of all Californians, has turned California from the Golden State to the Welfare State, to the Corruptocracy of the Democracy, including illegal aliens, welfare queens, and public sector unions calling all the shots, while taking all of our money, time, resources, and dignity.

Pucker up, Brian!

The fight is not over, folks, not in the slightest. We California conservatives, Republicans, Trump supporters, grassroots activists, constitutionalists, citizens are not going to sit back and just take it on the chin. No way!

We have not yet begun to fight!

Why Chad Mayes Loves Arnold Schwarz-a-Housekeeper

This was another sad tweet from RINO minority leader Chad Mayes:

Assembly Permanent Minority leader Chad Mayes has a new broanmance with RINO former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

1. They are both RINOS.

2. Neither of them have any convictions.

3. They both hate Donald Trump.

4. They both believe in the fantasy called "Climate Change" or more accurately called "Climate Alarmism"

5. They are both unfaithful to their wives.

6. They're both losers.

Arnold Schwarzenegger slept with lots of women in Sacramento.

Maria Shriver demanded that he come home to Brentwood every weekend to avoid more dalliances.

Of course, as soon as Shriver learned that Arnold had slept with the housekepper and fathered a child with her (mind you, someone in Brentwood), then they divorced.

And now Chad Mayes is facing a bitter divorce because of his adulterous affair with Kristen Olsen.

American Children First can exclusively confirm that “Never Trump” California Assembly Republican Leader Chad Mayes (R-Yucca Valley) engaged in an extramarital affair with Kristin Olsen, the former leader of the Republican Assembly caucus, and current member of the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors.

Mayes is the son of a pastor and graduate of Liberty University, a Virginia-based Christian institution. According to Wikipedia, Mayes plays guitar in his church and also performed with Kristin Olsen at the 54th Annual California Prayer Breakfast.

Olsen is the Vice-Chair of the California Republican Party.

We have obtained through Capitol sources, a letter penned by Mr. Olsen to Anthony Rendon, the Speaker of the Assembly, requesting an investigation into the affair and whether or not tax dollars were used.

I wonder if there are any letters about Arnold and his repeated affairs with every woman but his wife, too?!

Munger's Millions Well-Spent? Hadley Campaign Major Fails Continue

Wow.

Assemblyman David Hadley obviously did not think this statewide bid for governor through.

First, there are the major slip-ups with his website.

David Hadley has no chance of winning Governor. He had told people he was not going to declare until he raised $7.5 Million. I’d lay odds he has $1.98 right now. This is despite the fact that Mr. Hadley himself has told several people that wealthy GOP donor Charles T. Munger, Jr. has committed $1 Million to his effort. I am not sure how that works as one donor can only give about $28K.

Even if Mr. Munger could contribute $1 Million, Mr. Hadley would need another Million to get even with John Cox and then would need the gigantic list of small dollar donors that John Cox has amassed to appear as anything other than a foil.

Guess what David told me about RPLAC, aka RINO-PLAC?

Excuse my slight overstatement to make a point, but there is basically no CRP. There is practically no RPLAC. As far as I know, RPLAC has one paid staffer (Jason Maruca) and a lot of volunteers. They are up against the mightiest political machine in the country. The chair of the ADCC is a volunteer, doing what he/she can. Reading long emails from a person who (as far as I know) has never run for RPLAC, who wants to ask a bunch of rhetorical questions and offer a bunch of opinions about how to MakeCaliforniaGreatAgain, is not a good use of their time or my time.

So, why did he join the Central Committee in the first place?

I guess he's not invested in making California Great Again, either.

Hmmm.

And what did Gary SCAM-inoff have to say about Hadley's bid?

Why not look at what other people have to say about this take on the race?

Lots of cynicism and very little hope as it is ...

And Hadley jumps in to make it worse?

Before I take on his comments, I want to share more good news ...

1. Darrell Issa has officially won re-election.

YES!

2. I have a great job and I am very well-paid to do what I want to do.

3. I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving with my father, his wife, and the rest of the extended family in Oregon!

4. I am in good health.

5. I am back to reading my Bible, and I sense the changes for the better already.

6. A good friend of mine gave me updates on what she is doing in Long Beach, CA.

Yes, indeed, Thanksgiving cannot be just one day--everyone of us should be encouraged to make it a lifestyle!

So, something more that makes me happy ...

Stephen Franks reprints something that I wrote on his California Political Review!

His preliminary comments are worth meditating on:

Since February, 2013, the California Republican Party has not spent a dime on voter registration—and it shows.  Since October 22, 2012 till October 24, 2016, the Party has lost over 300,000 net registered voters, though a couple of hundred thousand did, register Republican.  

I have heard nothing but complaints about the lack of registration for Republicans in California. Why is this? What is going on?

I can say that in the Beach Cities Republicans, people are re-registering.

I think that this method is doomed to fail, however.

What is going on?

We are told that under McCain-Feingold there are periods of time we can not, as a Party register voters without using “federal funds (Levin accounts).  OK, so why not register in the other times?  Why not raise Levin funds?  Instead the State Party has outsourced voter registration to an organization run by Charles Munger—unelected by Republicans at any level—HE decides where voter registrations happens.

Which organization is this? Membership is about leadership and doer-ship. Why does this habit persist, in which GOP leaders are doffing responsibilities onto other people?

How has it worked out?  A net loss of 300,000 registered Republicans.  I should add Munger also sponsored and financed Prop. 14, which ended political parties nominating candidates for office in California.  Hence no reason to be a Republican registrant.

What?!

That is unconscionable.

How can we be losing registered votes in such a dramatic fashion?

AD-66 was a terrible example of this. In 2012, the district was 36% Democrat and 33% Republican. Now it's 42% Democrat and 32% Republican. This is not success.

This pattern of failure is all wrong.

Prop 14 is bad. That proposition is a terrible idea, and needs to be scrapped or significantly altered.

There followed statements from my blog post:

"We need leadership, enforcement, and a no-nonsense attitude on the necessary basis for a sound government which protects the rights of all and offers special privileges to no one!

If the proper forces don’t take hold in the state of California, this will be the lingering fate of the California GOP:”

Leadership is about making clear differences and standing by them.

The goal is not to try and make nice with every segment of a population, especially those elements which vehemently oppose the political party and its principles.

Principle means nothing if it is not treated with primal importance.

Political parties have to coalesce around values. They always will. From the outset of the Republic, there were Federalists and then the anti-Federalists.

Two parties exist because of two different views on the role of the state, and the role of the citizen, of the individual within the state.

Here comes Frank's question: 

That takes leadership.  What do you think?

Yes, that takes leadership.

It will take leadership that stands for something.

That takes a personal connection with the day-to-day concerns of other people.

That means getting in bad people's faces to change things.

Fundraising is a necessity, but not dependence on one large donor, or on donors who are more interested in abandoning values and accommodating a dying culture.

Leadership. 

I hope that I have begun fitting that mold. Everyone who wants to lead must be willing to follow, as well. I believe that there are other people who demonstrate leadership skills for building up California, and building up the California Republican Party.

How can we Californian Republicans generate support for our efforts?

And who will lead this rejuvenation?
