May 18, 2017 Beach Cities Republicans Meeting: The Remembrance Project

The Beach Cities Republicans continues to hold strong meetings and engage people from all over Los Angeles County, even in the state of California, to get into the game and Make California Great Again.

The Trump Train is forging ahead throughout the country, and even in California, there is growing hope--and opportunity, that Republicans and Trump supporters of all other backgrounds can get on board to take back the Golden State from the phalanx of corrupt special interests looking out for their own interests--at the expense of the public interest.

For the May Meeting, a number of guests stepped up to share their views and their fight for our country and our President.

We had an incredible turnout that night!

Joseph Turner of American Children First addressed the audience:

He has been the spear-head for many pro-immigration enforcement initiatives throughout the state of California. His initiative process to pass ordinances to ban the hire of illegal aliens in local cities, and to prevent landlords from renting out their facilities to illegal aliens.

Now he's targeting Torrance, CA, telling the city council that if they do not pass a resolution condemning SB 54, then he will go after the city's utility user's tax, which accounts for 20% of the citiy's revenue.

Jo Reitkopf of Make California Great Again showed up to get everyone excited about turning Califonria Red for Election 2020. This team of hard-working organizers and activists has already combined outreach with key demographics across the state.

She also highlighted and praised Andrew Reeder's efforts to coordinated LA for Trump team members for events in Berkeley ... and other states!

Matthew Woods showed up, too!

Matthew Woods of LA County for Trump talked about First Amendment rights, and the steps that we can take to reregister voters and take back California. All of us are furious with what's happening in teh state of California. High taxes and fees, wasteful spending on the boondoggle crazy train. The pandering and pre-eminence of illegal aliens has infuriated the vast majority of California residents.

So, let's change the numbers and get good candidates to run for office!

Huntington Park City Council--July 5th, 2016

After the past month, I have a greater sense of efficacy when it comes to political activism.

Many protesters target bad politicians and bad decisions.

However, we cannot ignore the necessary means of power in local jurisdications.

Angry voters are the best way to create former politicians.

Despite the trying traffic from the South Bay to South Eastern Los Angeles County, I arrived with time to spare. So did other members of We the People Rising.

Our numbers are diverse and impressive, regardless of the time of year.

Residents in the city have contacted me for the past eleven months, thanking me for all the work that We the People Rising have been doing.

It's just a matter of time, now. Two of the arroganct Corruptitos, Karina Macias and Jhonny Pineda, have vocally defied our efforts, as though we are wearing down. Truly, though, their patience and endurance is wearing thin, judging by their increased demand to flee the city council chambers as soon as possible.

Mayor Ortiz routinely interrupts speakers during public comment right at their end of their three minutes. She can't wait to get rid of us.

No matter how hard they may try, We the People Rising are going nowhere.

Finally, I am beginning to respect the  dreadful necessity to connect illegal immigration and the murders of Kate Steinle, Marcello Bisarello, and many others.

The fact is, and U.S. Senator Pat Toomey explained this consistently, those Americans did not have to die, if those sanctuary cities had simply obeyed the rule of law.

I cannot imagine the pain that the parents of Kate Steinle, or the children of two police officers killed by illegals, must feel from year to year. This rampant, reckless evil cannot go on any longer. The more law enforcement departments comply with federal law and cooperate with immigration authorities, the better this country will be.

July 1, 2016 was the first anniversary of Kate Steinle's death, and we commemorated her at Huntington Park City Council.

Before the meeting, we targeted former mayor Karina Macias. She is up for re-election, and she needs to be fired.

New security measures have been implemented, so visitors to city hall have to sign in. The chief of police did tell me, however, that visitors do not have to sign in after 5:30pm. Of course they don't. If anyone is attending a city council meeting, they do not have to sign in or provide information about who they are (Brown Act).

We the People Rising brought their posters, T-shirts, and banners.

I wish we had thought of bringing all the signage associated with the Remembrance Project sooner. Every city, every city council which aids and abets lawlessness and illegal immigration also has blood on their hands.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

The city council meeting raced through presentations and awards.

Before public comment, the Huntington Park K-9 Division received recognition for its anti-narcotics efforts. There is only one dog, a black Labrador named Kilo. The HP detective led him on search and sniff in front of the city council dais.

I could not help wondering when the dog was going to start barking at Los Cuatro Corruptitos. They have been pushing marijuana onto the city, even though the residents dont' want it. They must be smoking something!

Then public comment came.

Residents spoke about the crime problems in the city. Crime has not gotten better. Much of the city still looks like a ghetto.

Two members of We the People Rising ripped up the city council, particularly Karina Macias, for her comments that we are racist.

What a lie. Chanell Temple was there to remind them that our group is regional with diverse members from all over, with different backgrounds. Business owners in the city as well as residents joined in our memorial to Kate Steinle at the end of the meeting:

Betty Robinson have a moving speech to honor Steinle, to urge the city council to rescind the appointments of the two illegal aliens to the city commissions, and then she publically shared her hope that the U.S. Senate would pass two bills ending sanctuary cities for illegal aliens.

Robin Hvidston confronted the city council with the Remembrance Quilt. Police officers, mothers, fathers have died at the hands of reprobate illegal aliens. Children have become orphans because of these criminal actions.

The Huntington Park City Council members have found these revelations very disturbing.

One young Hispanic boy, Ruben Morfin, was murdered by an illegal alien who had been hiding from the authorities in ... Huntington Park:

When will this offensive, arbitrary lawlessness end?

Councilman Valentin Amezquita addressed his colleagues last.

He called on them to follow through on enforcing the rule of law, especially traffic codes. Drivers have been speeding through stop signs without stopping. Bicyclists are still cluttering up the streets and crossing against traffic.

The police are not citing these offenders. Should anyone be surprised how much the city has declined in the last twenty years?

Amezquita also informed the council and the audience that Nick the Greek has not yet been able to sell his property because prospective buyers fear the frustration and lawlessness of the neighbor mortuary. The councilman holds out interest for housing Nick the Greek's Americana treasures in a city building as part of a museum.

I look forward to that day!

Final Reflection

The city council members had very little to share in response to public comment from the audience, including from We the People Rising.

Macias kept her mouth shut during the entire period. She must have felt some sense of shame--at last--for calling people racist. Let's not forget her contemptuous tenure as mayor.

Then Jhonny Pineda spoke.

He informed us that he would not take back his decision to appoint the two illegal aliens to city commissions.

OH YES HE WILL! They are starting to blink!

California MassResistance Success--Target Shareholders Meeting Protest

In a previous post, I wrote about the welcome coincidence of California MassResistance emerging--at just about this time.

Target stores are trying to remodel, and in many suburbs of Southern California, these department stores depend on middle-income shoppers, including soccer Moms and grandmas.

Now they have to contend with the fearful prospect of a man walking into the same bathroom as their daughters.

Disgusting.

Since the Target Corporation announced their perverse transgender bathroom policy, millions of concerned customers have avoided the story.

1.3 million people have signed the American Family Association Petition to boycott the stores until they reverse this policy.

Target's stock has plummeted from $82 a share to $68, and still going down.

California MassResistance protested in front of a Torrance store two weeks in a row.

And today, they staged a large manifestation in front of the company's annual share holders meeting.

I arrived an hour and a half before the meeting, which was called for 9:00 am. One of the security staff immediately tried to scare me off, but after demonstrating with fellow activists in different causes, I know my rights, which include the right to peacefully assemble.

Shareholders from all over the world came to the Samueli Theater at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa.

California MassResistance was ready for them.

Concerned citizens from throughout Southern California lined up along sidewalks in front of different entrances to the theater. Private security confronted a few of us early on, informing us that we have to stay off private property.

They did not--could not--prevent us from exercising our First Amendment rights.

Catholics, protestants, and all other patriots concerned about the downward spin of our country and culture lined up, bearings signs

And blaring out protests on bullhorns.

Raul Rodriguez and Robert Lauten brought their bullhorns to the event, which amplified the protests far and wide.

Residents from Torrance, San Bernardino, Orange, Westminster, and even as far away as Apple Vally descended upon the Arts Center to make their points: Target must rescind the destructive and immoral transbathroom and fitting room policies, or prepare for worse profit losses.

A number of assaults, invasions of privacy, and molestation have already taken place in Target bathrooms because of this political agenda.

Some member of the team came prepared with their signs, but we made sure that everyone could send the message to the corporation, not just for the shareholders, but for the media.

Reporters from the Orange County Register, Estrella, and Life Site News took down our comments: our reason for being their and what we wanted to see accomplished.

A report from Life Site News spoke with me, then with some of the shareholders.

Throughout the morning, different members of California MassResistance took turns blaring out on the bullhorns: "Boycott Target!" "Shame on Target!" "Women's Rooms for Women Only!"

Even though one of the reporters represented a Spanish-speaking media company, a few members of our group were able to explain who we are and our purposes. Later on in the morning, we all posed together to show our opposition.

Some of our team were reticent to explain our position on this issue beyond public safety, but to the disturbing and erroneous foundations of the transgenderism movement by itself. The truth is, however, that this fight is about much more than bathrooms and privacy.

The transgender agenda is about destroying families, and creating a more oppressive and dangerous society. Transgenderism is a disorder, and more members of our team have grown comfortable stressing both aspects of this perverse movement in corporate America as well as from the federal government.

One shareholder stopped to talk with us. She talked about a different set of problems with the company--copyright infringement--but she also signaled her support for the "progressive" policies put forth by Target's CEO.

Intermittently throughout the protest, men and women called out "Boycott Target!" Professionals working in other offices in the area followed what we were doing. A number of cars driving by honked in support.

Shareholders continued to walk by to their meeting. We disturbed no one, but sent the message loudly and clearly which they needed to communicate to their CEO and board of directors.

Despite the heated discussion that followed, California MassResistance's demonstrations remained peaceful and respectful.

Another pro-family, Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) lined up along the outer sidewalk. They carried the same signs which a protester had driven around the entire state of Minnesota:

About sixty protesters showed up, along with the media, to put pressure on the Target shareholders to reverse their misguided, immoral CEO's push into this transgender insanity.

Before our team left for the day, two reporters from the Orange County Register interview us about why we were there. I sense that with one uestion, they wanted to create the impression that our group was unduly fearful of transgendered individuals.

I dissuaded that concern immediately, pointing out that we respect the needs of those who have gender dysphoria, but promoting a mental illness is not helping anyone.


Final Reflection

California MassResistance put together a great event, and it was a huge success.

Media advisories went out the night before, which ensured that the Target company and shareholders would feel the pressure--the shame!--to end their destructive, unnatural, and immoral transgender bathroom policy,

The larger number of people would not have been able to come without the help of fellow pro-family conservatives like Randy Thomasson of Save California, Craig Huey of Reality Alert/Election Forum, and of course MassResistance director Brian Camenker.

Pro-life, pro-family, and pro-liberty forces have the right arguments, the correct  moral standing.,

But they have not organized effectively. Many times, they have shied away from confrontation and controversy.

This time, using social media and email contacts, with proper targeting (no pun intended) and coordination, California MassResistance members showed up with strong numbers and promoted our attacks against Target.
