The Democratic National Committee is in debt, and no one wants to donate to them anymore.
Instead of fundraising to help Democratic candidates, however, they are now resorting to fundraising off of Democratic candidates to help fill their own depleted coffers.
How sad is that?!
The special election for the Pennsylvania 18th Congressional district has become another bellwether fight for Congress.
If Democrats score an upset in this seat, Republicans have every reason to fear for their future in the House of Representatives.
If Republicans fend off the Democratic upstart challenge in this seat, then they can build up for more victories in the coming months to hold onto the House of Representatives after the November 2018 election.
Either way, the fact that the DNC is begging for donations, and will "split" the donation with the Congressional candidate is pretty sad ... and rapacious.
Republicans are scrambling. They've been pouring shocking amounts of money into next week's special election in Pennsylvania -- but Democrat Conor Lamb is still neck-and-neck with his opponent.
Conor can win this race, Arthur -- and if he does, it would be a legitimately shocking upset in a deep-red congressional district. But right now he's being badly outspent, and needs our help. Split a $3 donation between Conor Lamb and the Democratic Party today to help send Conor to the House and elect Democrats nationwide -- we have just one week left to help. Republicans really, really do not want to lose this seat, Arthur. They know that if Conor wins, our momentum could continue right into November. That's why they're spending such enormous amounts of money to try to defend this seat. We've got to help out Conor. He has the chance to flip a seat that's been held by Republicans since it was drawn nearly two decades ago. But the only way that will happen is if we all step up to support him in the home stretch of his campaign. Split a $3 donation between Conor Lamb and the Democratic Party. Together we'll send Conor to the House and elect Democrats nationwide. Thanks for supporting Conor ahead of this important special election. The Democrats P.S. -- Democrats have flipped one seat in the U.S. Senate and 39 in state legislatures this election cycle. But we haven't yet taken a seat from the Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives. This race is our chance. Donate $3 right now. |
Final Reflection
It's bad enough that the DNC robbed Bernie Sanders to prop up Crooked Hillary in her abortive bid for President in 2016.
Now they want to pilfer and dip their hands into the campaign cookie jar while claiming to assist House and US Senate candidates in the contentious and unprecedented 2018 mid-term elections for Congress.
The DNC is DOA, and it's time for members and activists within that party to pull up stakes and leave.
