Obama Speaks Out -- He Should be Quiet

President Obama declares: "'I Have an Obligation' to Act Without Congress"

As if he has been acting at all!

We need leadership in this country, direction that will stand up to outrageous spending, encroachment of our liberties, and a lackluster adherence to the United States Constitution.

President Obama prides himself on taking charge, yet the only time he shows any initiative is running for office, which he is in the wake of doing again.

A do-nothing Congress is good for the economy, good for the country, and unfortunately also good for Obama.

Nevertheless, if George Will's cautious optimism is meaningful and prescient, the government gridlock that will take hold in Washington should he be reelected will ensure that business as usual can recover and reproduce once again -- by 2016, another election will permit the American People to choose another executive. Joe Biden is too old and out of touch to run for President, so it will be near certain that it will be another completely open election, just like 2008.
