Health Care in France -- Per Raphael Sonenshein

Normally, I do find Mr. Sonenshein's views on political, cultural, and social matters out of step or out of touch.

I was not aware, however, that in France private doctors operate as a group for the rates of health care. That is better option that direct intervention and direction from the federal government. I applaud the professor for pointing out a more free market alternative currently in practice in Europe.

However, I still prefer a free market in which individuals purchase their own insurance, independent of their employers, health insurance which individual carriers can take with them across state lines. Health Savings Accounts also permit individuals to invest their money for the future, earn a tax credit, and lift the undue burdens that are holding back insurers and insurance companies.
