Letter to the Editor: I'm Glad You're Telling Democrats to Pay Back for Reparations

Arthur--

Just read your piece on reparations. I'm glad someone else thought of tapping the dem party for pay-back. We Republicans did all we could to help the newly-freed slaves start on a path to self-sufficiency. I thought it was great poetic justice that they took the land from plantation owners, and gave it to black families that were required to work that same land for free. Then they could take care of their own families, which is all they would have asked for. This so greatly exemplifies the idea of giving someone a "hand-up, not a hand-out."

If we could get that idea out--that it is the Democrat Party that owes reparations, I think the debate would end quickly.

Great job, Bro--

White Privilege, and the End of White Guilt on Illegal Immigration and Islam

White privilege has become the new talking point for silencing conservatives on college campuses. I have faced this argument head-on every time I visited a college campus or discussed contemporary problems with liberals, whether at Cal State Fullerton, UCLA, UC Berkeley (before Antifa robbed me then pepper-sprayed me).

What is “white privilege”? Not exactly sure. Hollow race-based talking points from the left are often vacuous. Ben Shapiro called it a cheap left-wing rhetorical trick to silence criticism. “You are white, therefore you have no right to comment on the problems afflicting black and Hispanic communities in the United States.” An academic definition, if possible: white privilege is a set of societal benefits which white people enjoy because of their skin color, "an invisible package of unearned assets".

These charges are especially frustrating because this line of “thinking” contends that people like me benefit from this unperceived systemic racism. Whites get all the breaks, while blacks are systematically targeted by government institutions and private businesses in hiring, the criminal justice system, and education, hence the high black crime rates, rioting, the degrading conditions of urban ghettoes etc. The white guy has it good just because he’s white, and therefore he needs to “check his privilege” and empathize with the plights of the poor, down-trodden minorities.

Ann Coulter has slammed this racist line of argument soundly, and she identified a key moment in history when this white privilege, or rather white guilt narrative started crumbling under its own hypocrisy: The OJ Simpson trial. In 1995, a majority black jury exonerated a clearly guilty black man for killing his ex-wife and her new boyfriend. Coulter continues: “Overnight, the white guilt bank — once thought “too big to fail” — was shut down. Henceforth, instead of producing stuttering embarrassment, liberal moral intimidation on race produced only eye-rolling. With that, America became a much healthier country, especially for black people.”

For the majority of Americans, especially white Americans, that verdict did not fit. Men and women of sound mind and outrage said “We quit” … feeling guilty, that is. Coulter then details the immense criminal enforcement and welfare reforms which followed right after that corrupt verdict. These changes benefited all Americans, particularly blacks. In short, the OJ verdict outraged the country, pushing people past their discomforting fear of the race card to demand action against societal ills, regardless of the communities where they were prominent.

The OJ Verdict trumped he race card in the 1990's, but Coulter then drew a plumb-line to the Obama Administration and the return of the race card. White privilege became the talking point and memo for professors, liberal agitators, the Occupy Movement, etc. Poor Trayvon and Michael Brown were supposed to prove to the American public that despite a Black president and black executive secretaries, the United States was still a racist country, and white America owed everyone else an apology and massive contrition.

Once again, the liberal media played along and demanded that we Americans, particularly white America, let them push us into a corner of guilt over covert racism—especially if we the people criticized Barack Obama. At least The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol called “Bulls—t” on Bill Maher’s show.

Trump has arrived, though, and has indeed “trumped” the Left’s race card, but not just on urban renewal for blacks:

1.       Illegal immigration

In my view, the American public and thus the Presidential candidates, especially the winner in the White House today, spoke freely against illegal immigration because of the tragic, avoidable murder of Kate Steinle. For decades, the liberal press force-fed Americans a steady diet of “pity the poor illegals, you privileged (white) Americans.” We shouldn’t begrudge mass illegal immigration into our country. It’s our fault they’re here, anyway. But while Americans, especially working-class white Americans, were lectured about their untold benefits from “white privilege”, they were losing jobs, they saw their factories shut down and moved oversees, and worst of all, they witnessed their loved ones murdered by illegal aliens.

Just like white America got angry over a guilty black man walking, so too Middle America got tired of the liberal moral shaming. Candidate Trump spoke loudly and proudly what was on the minds of millions of working class voters. I would add that his message of strengthening American manufacturing, securing our borders, and ensuring public safety resonated with black and Hispanic American working-class voters, too.

2.       Islam

This time, I am not qualifying this political sect with “radical.” Read the Koran, follow the devastating, chaotic agenda of Muslims calling themselves faithful adherents to Mohammed, and you will find a political cult, not a benign religion. Once again, Trump was not afraid to say: “Why don’t we stop everything until we figure out what the hell is going on?” Trump wanted a pause, not a Muslim ban. But the Democratic Party and their left-wing grassroots hordes still want to play the national bigotry card. I have heard this iteration of the race card most recently from CAIR-LA Director Hussam Ayloush at Scripps College.

The big event that freed up Americans to speak plainly in opposition to Islam. Mr. “Diversity Visa” Sayfullo Saipov and his jihadi truck driving in New York City. It didn’t help that he murdered eight Americans so close to Ground Zero.

Enough. The liberal shaming over white privilege, which really wasn’t, gave us the following:
OJ Simpson, who got away with killing his wife.

Five-time deported illegal alien Jose Zarate, who killed an innocent young woman walking on the pier with her father.

Islamic radical Sayfullo Saipov, who murdered eight Americans, even though neighbors and co-workers had reported this man to authorities about his radicalized tendencies.

With all the talk about “White privilege” and the moral intimidation which accompanies it, what has happened? Disadvantages, particularly for whites. Would someone please explain to me where white privilege fits into all of this? It’s time to shut down these arguments for good in the new generation coming out of college campuses and in our schools.

Take the Left's Race Card, and Shove it in Their Faces

Are you tired of hearing about “White Supremacy”? Frankly, I am tired—really tired—of the race card dominating our national and particularly our political discourse. This is beyond childish. To wit, my fellow activists in Los Angeles County for Trump have Jewish, Black, Hispanic, and Asian members. But we still get hammered with “You are all a bunch of white supremacists!” One hateful agitator even claimed that white supremacy is not just about skin color, but ideology! Yes, in their view, men and women of non-European backgrounds can still be white supremacists. Frankly, if I had a black wife, Hispanic children, and Asian parents, they would still call me racist. There’s no opportunity for civil dialogue here. There is no interest in facts or evidence, either.

So, why does this perverse distortion of race in America still dominate the media? Why does the Left and the self-defeating Democratic Party continue to play the race card, despite all the evidence among Republicans that we are the most diverse group of politicos out there? Left-wing activism is all about silencing people. That has been the goal of the Left since Saul Alinsky. They cannot debate, reason, or convince. They have to denounce, race-bait, and con people. That’s all they have.
Great, I’ve outlined the argument, but what’s the solution? How do we “trump” the race card, especially since it’s non-stop on the media?!

So, Step One: don’t stop speaking.

If their goal has been to silence the right, they have failed massively. Donald Trump’s election win is the cherry on top of the conservative counter-revolution and restoration. Just keep making your point when they play the race card.

Step Two: Ask them pointedly: “Why am I racist?” or “Why do you say that I am racist?”

Put the burden of proof on the haters. When they stammer to answer you—as they will, since they are brazenly lying anyway--you catch them in their own devices and utterly humiliate them. Don’t be afraid to ask the question—they don’t have an answer, but you can provide your own rebuttal: “Doesn’t that make you racist, then, to play the race card in the first place?”

Brown Supremacy is Real

Step Three: Call them out for ignoring the actual racism in their own ranks.

In one sanctuary city, they declared themselves a “safe space” for Muslims. But two of my fellow Trump supporter activists are Jewish, and they were both thrown out of their meetings. I demanded that the city council declare their city a safe space for Jews—calling out their racism.

This goes for the media, too. One activist taught me to stop answering reporters’ race-baiting questions as though I had to defend myself. Instead, hammer them for ignoring the overt, racist agenda of elected officials and their ethnic identity activists. It’s pretty effective, actually. Go beyond rejecting the premise of the question. Call out the media for their willful color-blindness to the history of racism among Democratic lawmakers. I especially love confronting Spanish-language media for calling conservatives “anti-immigrant”. I have chased off at least three reporters with those confrontations, and they don’t come back!

Step Four: Reject guilt, especially for white people, the white guilt variety. I wear my MAGA hat with pride. Leftists love to bait me with “When was this country great before?” as though it never was, and often it has a racial tinge to it. A few answers: “When 600,000 white people died on fields of battle to end slavery.” Are they Hispanic? I mention Admiral David Farragut, the Admiral who defeated the

South—the first Hispanic-American to head the navy, appointed by Republican Abraham Lincoln. I talk about Cesar Chavez—yes, that guy—who organized labor and fought illegal immigration, too! Are they Asian? I mention Republican presidents Reagan then Bush 41, who signed off on reparations for Japanese-Americans, many of whom were interned by a Democratic President, sanctioned by a Democratic-dominated Supreme Court. I further point out that blacks went from 0 to 50% literacy in a generation because of Republican activism in the post-bellum South, and that the number of black Republicans registered and in office is exploding today. How about that?!

Step Five: Call them on their explicit use of the card to cover up their lack of principles. This failure occurred among US Senate Republicans in 2009 during the confirmation appointment of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. They should have pointed out that Obama nominated her only because she was a “Wise Latina” with no discernible judicial philosophy. You know what that’s called? Racism. Then Republicans can easily remark: “We agree with Martin Luther King Jr.—and we want to judge all nominees by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.” Stop denouncing racism in general, then say nothing afterwards. Talk about race, and show that you are more educated about it.

Step Six: Start scolding leftists on other issues and connect it to race!

Tell Democrats: “So many black/Hispanic/Asian/White families in your district are poor! Why don’t you want to improve the quality of their lives?” Ben Shapiro masterfully crushed Piers Morgan with this tactic, asking him first why he did not support an all-out handgun ban: “Don’t you care about the black and brown kids in Chicago?” Do they really think that black and Hispanic voters are that stupid or incompetent that they cannot provide ID? Lots of black folks responded to his query that they possess different forms of ID. Leftists also demonize the hard work and integrity of Asian families, convinced that racial quotas should drag down their margin of success in college admissions.

Step Seven: Recite “The Democracy’s” history of racism—from slavery to Jim Crow to socialism, including LBJ’s invidious discrimination against blacks. Remind them that Hillary Clinton called one of his Jewish campaign staffers “kike” and black people “super-predators.”
Just for fun, throw in the fact that you agreed that Bernie Sanders got robbed, and the race card will not get played anymore.
