Congratulations, Gardena City Council (Tasha Cerda, Rodney Tanaka, and Art Kaskanian)

The winning never stops for me.

It just keeps getting better and better for me.

The people that I care about keep fighting and winning.

And even when we lose, we find that things just keep getting better for us notwithstanding.

I was disheartened when my state senator's staff told me that their boss--and I am supposed to be their boss' boss!--was going to vote for SB 54, and help turn California into a third-world hell-hole sanctuary state.

Let's hope that federal attorneys are all ready and will put a stop on that immoral, unthinkable laws before they ever get a chance to go into effect.

But ...

In deep blue Gardena, a welcome and faithful elected official who cares about her community was elected mayor, even though she had to compete against three of her colleagues and a few other challengers.

Congratulations, Tasha!

Check out her swearing-in!

Her father assisted Mayor Cerda as she took the oath of office:

I was really excited that Art Kaskanian won a seat on the city council.

He's a Republican--and remember, Gardena is 80% Democratic!

Go Art!

I had the opportunity to meet his lovely wife and family too!

Last of all, Pastor Rodney Tanaka won a seat on the city council:

Art and Rondey were Tasha's endorsed candidates!

And for my own amusement ...

Creepy Janice Webb, the chairwoman of the RINO Central Committee, ran out of the city council chambers as soon as she saw me.

The RINO Central Committee, both the 66th and the entire county, did nothing for Art.

NOTHING!

Shame on them.

Congratulations to the victorious trio--I know that they will continue to make Gardena great!

Tasha Cerda Resists the Democratic Machine, Endorses Republican David Hadley for Assembly

Gardena, California is a heavily Democratic town.

In spite of the heavily slanted registration, Republicans have won seats on the Gardena City Council.

One of the most celebrated officials served as city councilmember then mayor: Paul Tanaka.

Another ally of the former mayor is Tasha Cerda.

She has served on the city council since 2009.

She has seen Gardena blossom.

The streets are clean and safe. Businesses are growing.

Cerda and Tanaka worked in line with the wisdom of the city manager, who helped lead the city of deep debt and near-certain bankruptcy.

Cerda is not a Republican, though.

She is a registered Democrat.

But she thinks for herself and she does what is best for her city, not for the political machine, not for any political party.

Assemblyman David Hadley made a decision early on to serve in every area of the 66th Assembly District, including Gardena.

Now, Hadley does not represent the entire city, but he attends events throughout the entire city nonetheless.

He has fought for clean water.

He wants the city of Gardena to form its own school district to assert more local control over their kids' education.

Hadley has also worked closely with local officials, including the public safety officials, to fight for the best for Gardena families.

Because the assemblyman has demonstrated an assertive effort to be present and serve, Tasha chose to endorse David Hadley instead of the Democrat.

She bucked her party. She bucked the aggressive, illiberal Democratic machine.

And they are angry!

But Tasha doesn't care!

That's what leadership is all about.

Not doing what other party hacks or special interests want, but doing what is best for your city.

Most people do not realize the risks that Cerda took on by endorsing a Republican.

She deserves our utmost respect!

Thank you for your courage, Tasha!
